"...So the greatest vampire of the millennial is granting us a visit... quite the honor I say...?"

The grim look on his face was replaced with a fake mocking smile - very intentionally showing of the gleaming pair of fangs.

"Get out of my way, Hoshina. You know I am not dealing with second-hand scum like your kind. I have matters to settle with your master. So stay down on your rug and don't waste my time.."

Hoshina giggled, as his guest took a few steps forward, eyes locked on the gateway behind him. The candles in the floor shimmered lightly, shifting their colours to a cold blue for a blink of an eye, unnaturally bright for their size.

Narumi Gen was a more than capable vampire. An exceptional talent in his ranks. Many praising him to be the best of his kind. To his suprise even he hadn't been able to recognize the other presence around.

Only when the "rug" started moving ever so slightly, slowly revealing more and more teeth on a light gray skull, his attention was drawn back again.

"Impressive, right?" Hoshina emptied the rest of his glass and kept his eyes locked on their intruder while a beast of remarkable size seemed to unfold behind him.

"...debatable. But...interesting, I'll admit..." Narumi frowned. "Well at least that explains the rumors about most your... recent "activities" in the regions villages.....former villages that is... Apparently your pet cannot only be discreet but also... very effective.."

Meanwhile two bright blue eyes glared at the intruder, fixing his every move, seemingly ready to strike on command.

Hoshina let out a light-hearted little laugh. "Nah come on, that's unfair Narumi." He gently scratched the skull of the monsterous creature next to him, as if to emphasize the comment about his pet. "Actually he's a very gentle soul, you know?"

Blue eyes still glaring.

"U-huh...friendly like a puppy... One might as well adopt him..." Narumi deadpanned.

"Of course he's friendly, silly!" Another giggle. "I'll take good care of him, there's no need for your concern."

Hoshina's way of sweet chattering was regularly getting on his nerves. Just as always Narumi began to lose his patience. "A pity." Narumi groaned as he stroke back his bangs to reveal his as well, brightly glowing pair of eyes now piercing back at them. "I was hoping we could get to know each other properly, you know?"

With noticable echo over the halls the gate behind them opened.

"I suggest we postpone that offer of yours for now. It is not our intention to disturb your appointment."

With the empty wine glass Hoshina made a last inviting gesture.

"After you, Narumi."

I came up with several outline ideas.. and while I was drawing I was very eager to record all my work with the timelaps feature in CSP.. except for when I didn't anymore...... I am very shhhmmmart!!! (థ౪థ)... so now sorry no WIP timelaps...

<- it was basically just a lightning/shading try-out...and then I ended up keeping it, cause *mad scientist laughing* THAT IS WHAT I DO, I DO MADNESS HERE!!! ( ◣∀◢)ψ But I am sucha simp for magenta/blue colour palettes... and it was more comfortable to look at. But the warmer look has its own appeal to it aswell..... I can't decide...

what would just turned vampire kafka be like? really wanna know your thoughts on how kafka would handle that endless hunger new vampires have to face. imagine being her s/o but also bloodbag. i think there's an intimiacy to not only nourishing kafka but also being sort of an anchor against the gnawing hunger. can't really explain it well but i loveee the codepedency between bloodbag human and vampire.

oh my god. okay wait lets think— fledgling kafka would be soooo fun to play with because she’s someone who’s very controlled and patient in general and in this case she’d be the complete opposite. i don’t think you could be around her at first like… as much as her rational mind would tell her she doesn’t want you to die, i believe kaf has no problem indulging her needs and would feed to kill. before she learns how to control her impulses and the call of blood, she would be so hungry all the time and would not care about the bodies she leaves behind if it means satiating this impossible, burning hunger that seems to be tearing her from the inside. at the same time, i do think she would at least try to regain control over herself since it’s important to her but she would kinda fail. if you’re human and you let fledgling!kaf drink from you, you are deadddd 😭 it’s over. like im a firm believer in “baby vamps have to relearn self control as they’re essentially born anew” and so whether she wants to or not she would drain you. as a baby vamp she would be kinda insufferable because she’d never stay still and would want to test everything about her new abilities which means she’s always doing something (dangerous). the hunger takes up a lot of place and controlling that takes even more energy. it’s some time before she’s back to regular old kafka but i think she’d be on some sort of high for a while after getting turned and would end up killing a bunch of people hfjdhfhfn she needs someone to clean up after her too because she’ll toss the bodies anywhere she doesnt gaf. once she’s mastered self control it’s different but as a baby vamp? she’s mainly just following her impulses

i agree about the relationship between blood bag and vampire, it’s so good. there’s something precious about being the source of their energy and life by giving up some of yours. i think vamps in general can be pretty possessive but kaf would really be. she doesn’t want you bleeding for anyone or anything else so no drop is wasted and she has a general feeding schedule but will still often end up drinking from you on a whim if she knows you can take it. she’ll drink in the evenings so that if youre feeling a little weak after you can just rest, not too picky about where but she does enjoy putting on a show while drinking from your wrist or somewhere around there bc she can see all of your reactions and they spur her on. she’s a classy eater! the most she’ll have is some blood trickling down her chin but she wouldnt make a mess. she drinks from you during sex too hahaha… she really has to restrain herself then because since she prefers toying with her prey to get that blood rushing, during sex your blood would be like ambrosia omfg. but i do think the only time you’d be genuinely terrified of her possibly killing you would be when she’s a baby vamp, after that she’s pretty chill. expect a lot of bite marks on your body she loves feeling things through her mouth more than anything else so even when she’s not feeding from you she’s still biting you and stuff. ugh i need vamp!kafka so bad

so lately i’ve been watching tvd and reading dair fics and now both are whirring around in the blender of my mind, and because you are also into both things i thought i’d pose the hypothetical - what do you think a vampire!dair au might look like?

i’ve been considering both vampire!blair/human!dan and vampire!dan/human!blair and actually think both dynamics could make for an interesting premise - blair’s specific blend of Machiavellian cruelty and devoted romanticism makes me think she’d thrive as a vampire, while dan’s broodiness, tendency to pine, and struggles with his own morality make me think he’d be a perfect candidate for the friendly-yet-troubled type of Stefan Salvatore-esque vamp. i’m curious what your thoughts on this sort of au were, and how you imagine things might play out?

As far as Dan/Stefan comparisons.... he does indeed have the romantic brooding down pat, lol

that being said...... I've actually started a wip of vampire!dair, haha.... i don't know if I'll ever go through with it, but I had Blair as an older vampire who definitely has some Katherine vibes. Dan as a vampire hunter, who comes across Blair after Jenny gets turned while hunting.

VAMPIRE. i’m a vamp girlie through and through, you know how growing up u were either into vamps or werewolves, mermaids etc? i was a vamp girl. always has been. i think kafka fits the inherent loneliness that comes with vampirism not to mention the arrogance, the lack of internalized human/societal norms, the night predator vibe likeeee omg!!!! she’d make an excellent vampire. lets talk about it fr… the romanticism and violence that comes with making a vampire, to grant rebirth through death of all that one is down to a cellular level IS SO GOODDDD. kafka’s not a community person, she believes she should always put some distance in her relationships in order to make them last, so her walking the path of a vampire doomed to forget memories affected by the constant onslaught of new ones because of the flow of time, where the only end is forcefully “be killed or end your own life” is so fitting to me. she wants to live so much. she was told her entire life was predetermined and instead of despairing, she took matters into her own hands so she would live her life as she wanted even within the constraints of destiny. she seeks her own ending, bets on the TB to change destiny and herself in the process— to grant her freedom. vampires are born from a will to live, either theirs or someone else’s and i think the whole “consuming others’ lives to feed your own” concept fits kafka very well since shes out there sacrificing millions for the future she wants…

on a sillier note tho can you imagine her with fangs hehehehehdhdjdhfj she’d be such a classy eater. would prefer to drink from the wrist or the back of the hand since the veins are shallower there (fangs are shorter and wider than needles) and the mess is minimal. makes eye contact the entire time and licks the puncture wounds afterwards. if she’s indulging and doesn’t care about killing her victim, she goes for the arteries in the inner thighs or the clavicle. they’re deeper but the mess is big and it kills in like. minutes. but imo shes the classy type who has to prep her meal beforehand and get that blood flowing (if u know what i mean🙂‍↕️) because those stress hormones and engorged blood vessels? yummy. i also wouldnt be me if i didn’t enjoy the whole “vamp bites can be aphrodisiacs” thing so i’ll just put that out there…. neeeed kafka biting into me just before i hit my peak and have the pain be overshadowed by toe-curling pleasure i need it i need it
