I cannot, under any circumstances, resist a purple house. This 1879 Italianate in Unadilla, New York has been updated and is a simple, cozy home with lots of charm. 4bds, 3ba, and only $235K. Plus, it has the most adorable carriage house, too.

A porch out front faces the pretty street.

Enter directly into the cozy living room.

There's a wonderful original fireplace and a wall of shelving.

An amply sized dining room would be great for family and friend gatherings. Yes, they did paint all the woodwork white, but somehow it's appealing in this home.

The eat-in kitchen has been renovated and painted a pleasing plum.

And, right off the kitchen is an original pantry with lots of storage.

The shower room has an original storage cabinet and they didn't remove the original medicine chest, but made a niche out of it, which is nice.

The primary bedroom has an original fireplace and shelving just like the living room. Very nice.

The central hall/stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms.

The bedrooms are cute and cottagey.

This tiny space has a nice closet. It could be a nursery, a little office, or a great craft room.

Adorable bedrooms- look at the little silhouettes on the baseboard.

Standard bath nicely redone.

This large room could be a primary bedroom or maybe a family room.

This is cute- love the tub.

Some of the yard is fenced. The lot measures .26 acre.

How adorable is the carriage house? I wish they showed the interior.

It is Sunday morning, the rain is cooling everything down nicely and I'm going to turn a halfmade half failed Victorian chemise into a half lenght Italian 17th century chemise

The Rinckel Mansion is an 1876 Victorian Italianate in Carson City, Nevada and is decorated nicely, except for the kitchen remodel. 4bds, 3ba. $2.4M.

This is the only photo of the entrance hall, which is a weird choice.

The sitting room is so fancy, isn't it? All of the original moldings and woodwork is intact and the professionally painted ceiling is amazing.

This is one of 2 dining rooms. At some point it was a bed & breakfast, and has since been maintained by the current owners. Isn't that a nice alcove in the front of the room?

This is another dining room. The two front rooms would typically be sitting rooms, and this would be the dining room.

The kitchen is industrial, unchanged from when it was a business. I don't like the cabinetry, except for the antique Hoosier cabinet.

This room, currently used as a home office, has a beautiful alcove with a starry wall and ceiling.

Love the alcoves in the rooms. This is lovely.

The bedrooms are spacious, but if it was a B&B, there are only 4 bds and not all of them have dedicated bathrooms.

And, this is bedroom #3.

Bedroom #4 is set up as a family room.

This shower room is kind of a disjointed reno.

And, bath #2 is down a side hall.

In the yard is a porch and a very large pergola.

9,583 sq. ft. lot with lots of parking on the sides.
