You slowly opened your eyes, wincing a bit at the light in the room, which took some time for your eyes to adjust to. You slowly sat up, looking around the room, before looking down at yourself. You saw that you had several bandages wrapped around your arms, legs, and several other places on your body, including your head. Just what the hell happened?

"Ah, you're finally awake. Didn't think you were gonna make it there." You heard a voice say, making you look up, confused. Just who was this..? He didn't look too familiar to you, or at least, you weren't too sure. You felt like you should know who he is, but you don't.

"Do you have any idea where you are, or who I am?" You took a moment to think about this, before shaking your head ‘no.’

“You really don’t remember? Damn.. that blow to the head may have just… made you lose your memory, Y/n.”

“Is… is that my name..?” You said, flinching a bit as your voice sounded a raspy, like you haven’t talked in a while.

“Yeah, that’s your name. And mine is Vile.”

“Vile… well… how did I get here?”

“I dunno the full story behind it, but I found you out cold on the ground after getting beat up. So I brought you here after getting your injuries treated.” Vile had his arms crossed as he talked to you, staring down at you.

“And how do you know me and my name, Vile..?”

“Ah, that’s a good question, Y/n…” Vile seemed a bit hesitant to answer the question, but sighed and said, “because we were… sort of friends, I guess you could say. You didn’t care that I’m a Maverick, that I could have killed you when we first met. I respected that about you, so I let you live, and uh, we were sorta friends.”

“Friends..?” You tilt your head slightly, but flinched as you did so, holding your head in pain.

“Hey, don’t hurt yourself now..!” Vile went over to you and had you lie back down. “Dammit, Y/n… just get some rest for now.” He sighed softly and turned to leave, but stopped as you called out to him.

“…Vile?”

“…what is it, Y/n?” He turned to face you.

“Do you think, once I’m able to move around… we could go back to being friends again? I want to remember you, Vile..” he was quiet for a few moments, before he nodded.

“Alright, alright, but you’ve gotta get rested up first.” You nodded and closed your eyes.

“Sleep well, Y/n.” You could hear him mumble as he left the room, closing the door behind him, and you fell asleep soon after he left the room.

three months have passed since then, and both you and Vile had been spending time together, like he had promised. He tried to help you remember things, but he knew not to push you as he didn't want to hurt you or make things worse. You did slowly start remembering things over the course of time you two had spent together. You remembered your name, a few other personal things about yourself, and that you were indeed best friends with Vile before you lost your memories. And there was one more thing you remembered: your crush on Vile. You had kept it a secret, as you knew there was no way he would love a human like yourself.

"Hello? Y/n?" You flinched a bit as you saw a hand wave in front of your face. You shook your head and looked over to see Vile standing right next to you.

"Sorry about that, I've just been thinking. It's nothing important. Anyways, what were we going to do today?"

"Well now I'm intrigued, but I guess that can wait until later... Oh yeah, remember anything new yet?"

"Oh, no, not really. If I do, I will be sure to let you know, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, fine. Now let's go." Vile turned and started walking away, with you right behind him.

"Where are we going?"

"Honestly? I have no clue, just walking."

"Oh, okay then." You were now walking beside him. The two of you walked in silence for a few moments, as if you were just enjoying each other's company.

"Hey, Vile?" You suddenly spoke up, looking over at the Maverick in question.

"What?"

"What do you... think of me? I know you said we were friends before... my incident, but... you didn't really say much about that."

"Oh, uh... Well, it was pretty much like how it is now, just now you have less memories, Y/n."

"I see..."

"Why, did you remember something?"

"Well..." You rubbed the back of your head, unsure if you should actually tell him what you remembered.

"Well, what?"

"Well... I did remember something, but I'm afraid if I tell you, we won't be friends anymore."

"Well now I'm curious..."

"If I tell you, you won't get mad at me, right?"

"Yeah, yeah, out with it, Y/n."

"I, uh, remembered my feelings for you. I had, or rather still do have, a crush on you, Vile."

"...What."

"You said you wouldn't get mad!" You looked back at him, worried that you upset him now.

"I'm not mad! I'm just... processing... You like me... Me?"

"Yes... yes, you."

"Well, you know what, Y/n?"

"Yeah..?" Now you were even more worried, bracing yourself for a rejection.

"...I like you too."

"Wait, what? Really?"

"Yes, really. I didn't want to admit it, cause I knew there was no way you would like a Maverick like myself."

"I was afraid to tell you too, as I didn't think you'd like me either, since I am... well, human."

"Tch, well I do like you."

"I'm happy you.. feel the same way. Maybe spending more time with you like this may unlock not only old memories, but create new ones as well."

"That... sounded very cheesy."

"Eh, what can I say? Ya gotta be cheesy sometimes, especially in love."

"Yeah, yeah, come on, let's go... watch (movie title) or destroy something, I don't care."

"Either works for me! Let's go!" With that said, you two took off to spend the rest of the evening together, destroying things and watching movies after. You knew this was going to be the start of an interesting relationship, but you didn't mind at all.

Next to her, Rei and Shinji stepped up. 

“I am the White MegaMan, Chosen of Model LM.” Rei said. 

“I am the Rogue MegaMan, Chosen of BioMetal Model V ''. 

“What…?” Leo just stared in disbelief. 

Asuka was the first to snap out of their stupor, glaring at her ‘friends’. 

Mari pointed her rapier at the two and then at the open door. 

“Let’s play a game, shall we? How about… hide-and-go-seek tag? We’ll give you a one minute head start.”

She grinned wickedly, her crimson eye behind the screen seeming to glow with her Cheshire Cat grin. 

“Run.”
