Mini-shot: CricketLynx React To SwiftSwamp
Tumblr media
Cricketheart was silent as she stared at the slab of Moonstone beneath their paws, her mouth slightly agape. After a moment, her mind reeling, she turned to her companion.
"Did you know Swampfur was-"
"No."
"Woah." Cricketheart blinked, stunned. Lynxpaw's mismatched paws' claws dug into the surface of the Moonstone, scratching it as she glared down at the stone.
Then she grinned.
"And here you were making fun of me for my brother meeting WindClan cats!" Cricketheart teased, playfully nudging Lynxpaw's shoulder.
Lynxpaw glowered at her. Then, she huffed, shoving her face into her paws. "Watching that deaf cat get rejected was the highlight of my afterlife."
"Hey!"

New Squirrelwhisker family tree!!
Ok so now what I’ve changed is that Sandstorm + Featherkit and Cricketkit are now the kits of Runningbreeze (Runningwind) and a Rouge/Bloodclan cat Tess (she’s a character in Ravenpaw’s Path), they were both young at the time, it was a very non serious relationship and ended when she got pregnant. Tess asked Runningbreeze to take them back to his clan as Tess didn’t have the means to take care of them, nor did she want kits, and Runningbreeze had a community of cats to raise them, he agreed and before they were born he asked Dapplecloud (Dappletail) to take them.
More Character backstory below
Dapplecloud had wanted kits for a very long time, she was mates with Stormtail for a time when she was a younger warrior but she couldn’t have kits, which was definitely hard on her. At some point she’d broken up with Stormtail realising their relationship was not healthy and tried to focus on spending more time on her family, she absolutely loved her niece and nephew, she and her brother were very close with Mouseburr and Runningbreeze, they were Auntie Dapplecloud and Uncle Thrushpelt and great warriors the two of them looked up to.
So when Runningbreeze came to her asking for her help, Dapplecloud agreed, no warrior would turn down kits in need, especially family. Sometime in the future a part of Dapplecloud would regret this decision.
In the first two months every thing was fine, the kits were little angels, Rodinwing’s litter was taking a liking to the three new little kits and Willowpelt was settling into the nursery. Rosetail, the caretaker of the nursery was going to have her paws full.
But as the months of winter went on, the prey became increasingly more scarce then others, so many cats died that winter. Her brother, Leopardfoot, two of Robinwing’s kits along with her mate and herself… and so many more….
Cricketkit and then Featherkit included… Cricketkit early on and Featherkit so close to being apprenticed, he was born deaf but that never stopped him, he and his family had developed their own language built on clan cats own limited sign language used in patrols and other clan activities. Featherkit was a determined and kind kit. But the harsh winter does not care about the lives of mortals.
The loss affected her deeply… But Sandkit and the rest of the clan continued on.
One of the things that brings Sandstorm and Fireheart together is Cloudkit, in my rewrite Cloudtail and Snowkit are the same character. When Fireheart brings Cloudkit and asks Bluestar to let him stay in the clan, amongst the many voices saying not to let another “weak” kittypet in, Sandstorm surprises Fireheart by advocating for Cloudkit (the little white kit reminds her of her brother) and when Cloudkit is discovered to be hard of hearing Sandstorm and Dapplecloud help Fireheart and Brindleface with different signs and signals.
Cloudtail goes on to help Brightheart when she becomes hard of hearing after the dog attack and their daughter Whitewing, while not hard of hearing is a fantastic sign language teacher and goes on to teach many young cats in Thunderclan and even some cats in other clans the more developed sign language.
Other family tree’s that relate to this one:
SandFire // Mumblefoot

Rescued characters:
A "rescue character" is what i call a character who died or disappeared in canon but survives the event in my rewrite. This post will be an overview of the cats, particularly kits and apprentices, who survive. This does include Su Susanne's missing kits.
This post may be updated in the future, particularly for non-thunderclan cats
Kits:
Featherkit & Cricketkit (Thunderclan, pre-Arc 1, becomes Featherfall & Cricketsun)
Mosskit (Thunderclan, pre-Arc 1, becomes Mossheart)
Snowkit & Mistlekit (Thunderclan, Arc 1, becomes Snowsong & Mistletoe)
Lynxkit (Thunderclan, Arc 1, becomes Lynxshine)
Tadpole (Loner, Arc 2ish, keeps name)
Hillkit & Eaglekit (Windclan, Arc 2, becomes Hillpaw & Eaglepaw)
Breezepelt's littermates (Windclan, Arc 3, do exist but still die as Brackenkit & Ravenkit)
Apprentices:
Cherrypaw (Thunderclan, Pre-Arc 1, does exist but not for long)
Swiftpaw (Thunderclan, Arc 1, becomes Swiftheart)
Gorsepaw (Windclan, Arc 1, becomes Gorseflame)
Shrewpaw (Thunderclan, Arc 2, becomes Shrewfeather)

Su Susann cats here we go. Elderkit and Tulipkit would also be in here, but I did them a good while back already, so I'm not putting them here again.Just put 'supposedly' in front of every claim after this point lmaoFirst is Lynxkit, Swiftpaw's sibling, and Lavenderkit, Rowanstar and Cedarheart's. Then is Cherrypaw and Chestnutkit, first litter of Robinwing and Fuzzypelt, and Featherkit and Cricketkit, Dappletail's kits. Storkkit and Quailkit, Gorsepaw's siblings, are next, followed by Turtlekit, Quietkit, and Rubblekit, Ashheart and Cinderfur's kits. Cranberrypaw is Thistlepaw (from like two posts back) and Gorsetail's sibling, and Skunkpaw appears during Goosefeather's Curse, the black and white apprentice that tells Goosekit where the other kits are hiding during a hide-and-seek game. And then Drizzlepaw and Rustlepaw were supposed to be another litter from Onestar and Whitetail (along with Willowclaw and Emberfoot lmao), but they are like Su Susann cats squared now, completely Thanos-snapped out of the narrative. Basically these two in particular really don't exist. So why'd I draw them? Idk, I just want to be as through as possible.

Bonefall's Forgotten Warriors
If you've ever set out to make a WC fan project, you've surely heard of Su Susann's Missing Kits. It was a series of authorial statements giving names to previously unnamed cats, and adding interesting little stories to many of them.
But there's also a TON of "Forgotten Warriors" that were created through timeline inconsistencies, offhanded authorial statements, or single throwaway lines in super editions. By their nature, finding these cats on the wiki is a pain in the butt. In this post I hope to compile these cats as a resource for the fandom.
So first, let's define a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior does not have a big presence. Primrosepaw was first named as a Missing Kit with no mention of her name on the page or in the allegiances. Over time, she has appeared in several books and is now a widely known name in the fandom. But Blossomkit, whose only appearance is in Su Susann's Missing Kits and the worst field guide, will count as a Forgotten Warrior.
A Forgotten Warrior is not just a nondescript Clan cat. For example, if a "ThunderClan warrior" speaks up at a gathering and their name and description is not mentioned, that could be anyone. Same applies to a description that could easily describe an existing character in a Clan-- if a "White ShadowClan Warrior" appears in a modern arc, that may just be Stonewing, BUT, the "Tabby Queen with Distinct Black Markings" of TPB doesn't match any other, so she is a Forgotten Warrior.
A minor appearance inconsistency is not a Forgotten Warrior. Just to pre-empt wiseassery. Blue-eyed Dovewing and Green-eyed Dovewing are not two separate cats-- but I will note down MASSIVE appearance changes in background characters, like the magic color AND gender-changing Stoatfur (just add water!)
(also, I will not be compiling all of the random kittypets, rogues, and loners because there is too many of them. I could, however, be persuaded to compile all cats of a specific group, like The Kin, Sisters, BloodClan, etc.)
This post is an updating list as I find and catalogue more cats. Last update: 8/21/23, version 1.1 Added new category: Sudden Elders
Key: X = No gender F = Female M = Male

Happykit M A fan name for a kitten killed in the Great Battle which the author approved of. Changed to "Weaselkit" by the family tree.
Silverpaw X Appears in the allegiances of Fire and Ice and Forest of Secrets and then vanishes.
Greenflower F Supposed to be the foster mother for Feathertail and Stormfur, forgotten between books and replaced by Mosspelt.
Gorsetail M A pale tom warrior who is trapped by humans during the destruction of the Forest, suddenly replaced by ANOTHER Gorsetail who is a silver-and-white molly in the Po3 arc
Unnamed Background Cats
Distinct Tabby Queen From Into the Wild, greets Goldenflower as she leaves the nursery. ThunderClan.
Tortie Molly From Fire and Ice, seems to be a friend of Morningflower. From WindClan.

Tabby Tom
From Fire and Ice, another exiled warrior of WindClan. Carries Morningflower's kitten; May be Onewhisker.
Field Guide Exclusives

Silverpaw X Sees Onestar and the POV kittypets on RiverClan territory, and brings them to Reedwhisker.
Adderkit M Lost spirit baby in Cats of the Clans from WindClan. Killed by an adder and named after it. Forced to listen to Rock say dumb shit about Nightcloud at the world's most uncomfortable sleepover.
Spiderfoot M Anxious, battle-averse ShadowClan warrior fresh out of Apprenticeship at the Eclipse Battle, tormented by RiverClan warriors while hiding in an abandoned building. Said to have left to become a kittypet
Rabbittail M WindClan ancestor of Webfoot who was caught in a human trap for REAL rabbits, but chewed his way out.
Sudden Elders
These cats suddenly appear as elders despite never having been seen before.
Darkfoot M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Oatwhisker M Appears as a WindClan elder without warning when the Clans get to the lake.
Snaketail M Brown ShadowClan elder with a striped tail
Ivytail F A brown tabby in RiverClan who dies of oil poisoning

me and my boyfriend made up warrior cat names for the orv cast
disclaimer we actually don't know that much about wc (I actually know nothing and used the wiki as a reference). there's variations for the ones we couldn't decide on yoo joonghyuk - blackpelt. this is obvious kim dokja - kittypet. it took us a while but graywish :) han sooyoung - waspshadow (wasps disguise themselves as something they aren't - mostly referencing seven kings. also shadow because. lol) yoo sangah - also kittypet. warrior name is moonheart (moonlight empress; but also deeply kind and responsible, but very good at reading people (their hearts), tactful and diplomatic) jung heewon - fireleap, fireteeth, firewing, firestalk lee hyunsung - stonepelt, stoneear, stoneclaw/tooth (referencing how he becomes a sword) lee jihye - wavesong, wavepaw, waveleap, wavestrike lee gilyoung - bugkit, cricketkit shin yoosung - feather kit disaster of floods - feathermask, featherscar lee seolhwa - snowfang (compliments yjh. lol)
we missed other characters but yeah feel free to make your own this is extremely fun. also feel free to make better names than ours thumbs up

Squirrelwhisker’s family tree rewrite! Only going up to into the wild.
Changes to the family tree!!
- Squirrelwhisker and Eaglestorm now have two kits, Windflight and Harepounce. (cause u know hares are normally in windclan)
- Harepounce and Rainfur are mates, Windflight is a donor to Rainfur. Tawnyspots and One-eye are their first litter, Dappletail and Thrushpelt are their second.
- Dappletail has a short lived relationship with Stormtail and unfortunately Featherkit and Cricketkit die as kits.
- One-eye and Halftail are still mates, Mousefur and Runningwind their first litter, and Sandstorm the Baby of the Family tm
Other families that some of these show up in:
Daisytoe // SandFire + Princess

Do you do kit versions of cats? If so, Harestar as a kit would be cute. But if you don't, maybe do Featherkit and/or Cricketkit, Dappletail's kits only mentioned once and never again.

these two r so cool and the erins just killed them ??? seriously?? UGH!

Hmm I'm having Dappltail thoughts. She says her kit wandered off and was never seen again. to thunderclan, that must've seemed really similar to what happened to Bluestar's kits. I wonder if Dappletail felt guilt over her relationship with Stormtail and Moonflower's death, and took her disappearing kit as an ironic punishment from starclan. If she ever talked to Bluestar about it, i wonder how Bluestar would feel knowing her kits didn't disappear and not being able to tell Dappletail that.
Not that i really picture Dappletail bringing it up. I just think it could be a neat idea to explore. Ik Runningwind is supposed to be the father of the kits, but that always seemed odd. I don't remember if Stormtail was alive at that point, but if he was the father that would add an even more interesting layer to it. I dunno i just think it'd be a fun idea to explore y'know?
