"Daor, daor," I slurred "nyke daor, daor, daor-"

Daemon grabs me, one hand on my waist the other on my cheek, saying something impressively long and eye-wideningly hard to understand in High Valyrian.

I burp in my mouth as the prince asks, "did you sneak yourself some wine?"

"Daor." No.

His narrowed eyes scrutinize my face, "did you drink milk punch?

"Daor."

Daemon sighs, knowing that was in fact, not true.

"Daor," I say.

"I didn't say anything."

"Daor..."

He sighs. 100% inebriated.

"Daor-"

"That the only thing you know, love?"

I sigh, relaxing fully against his arms. Daemon's eye widens when I begin to fall back. His hands quickly dart to my sides, propping me up, gathering me into his chest, "alright, that's enough."

I pout, brows knitting, "daor!"

He rolls his eyes, "if you can tell me--" he bends down. I squeak when he grabs me below my hind and throws me over his shoulder. Daemon huffs, beginning to walk off, "--another word in High Valyrian other than no, I'll let you drink to your heart's content, pup."

I hiccup, then sigh in pain due to the involuntary tightening of my chest and throat. I think for a long while as the sight of the table where a bunch of stuffy royals were seated quickly becomes smaller. I wave at Rhaenyra when she says good night.

"Last chance," Daemon says right before he reaches the door, "ȳdragon naejot nyke, ñuha jorrāelagon."

Speak to me, my love.

I think, "daor."

Daemon rolls his eyes, promptly exiting the dining hall.

When he sets me down, I'm shocked that we're in our chambers, "when did we get here?"

Daemon spins me around and begins to undo the laces on my back, "what do you mean? We never left our chambers."

"What?!" my jaw drops as I gasp. I move to turn to him, but he holds me back, muttering something incoherent in another language.

Daemon pulls my dress down and I step out of my dress, dashing across the room, throwing arms up in the air, making my thin shift dress flow with my movements. I begin to spin and giggle, stopping only because I begin to lose my balance and fear falling.

"What are you doing?" the man across me asks. When my line of sight is not so blurry, I blink twice and run towards him.

My husband's face contorts, he settles me on my feet, "that is not dancing, little girl."

"Easy!" he snaps, lunging forward to catch me before I face plant.

I look up at him, blowing back the dark streaks of my hair, reaching out to brush back his light ones with a grin, "dancing!"

I twist my face in offence, grabbing him by his waist to pull him towards me, "I'll have you know I'm the-" I cut myself off when I trip on Daemon's feet.

"Gods help us," he sighs, setting me back up.

I huff, tightening my grip on his clothes, "-premier dancer of the North."

Daemon rolls his eyes, hands slipping down to the small of my back. I begin to lead us into a slow dance and he steadily picks up on my movements. He says, "I do not doubt you, beloved," but I am uncertain if he doubted me.

I sigh, leaning my head onto his chest, "Cregan made fun of me whenever I danced. He said I was trying too hard to be a lady."

The sound of his hum echoes in my ear, "I can emasculate him," he mutters, hand coming up to my head, "castrate the only thing manly about that dog."

I close my eyes, sighing as I feel the combing of my hair.

"I'll make sure to make up for his loss by breeding plenty pups into my bride," he rests his chin on my head.

I spin myself in his grip then jump towards him, throwing my arms over his shoulders as I continue to lead us to the music in my head.

"Kepa," I mutter pulling away from him.

He grabs my hand, pulling me close to him, "what was that?"

"Did you just call me kepa, my lady?"

I purse my lips in thought.

"Kessa ao mazverdagon nyke iā kepa, jorrāelagon?" Daemon smirks.

Will you make me a father, love?

I yawn at the sound of the words I do not understand.

Daemon recoils, "you smell like you drink for sport."

I knit my brows, "I drank as much as you!"

"And that was your mistake."

Daemon pushes me back to spin me around. I do not enjoy it because I feel the sloshing of my stomach. I hold back the liquid that threatens up my throat.

Daemon snatches me forward, lips curved into a smirk, "you don't look so good."

"I want to go to bed."

His nostrils flare in amusement, "I agree."

I yelp softly when I am swept off my feet and carried to our bed. I tense from where I was sat down when Daemon walks away. I relax only when I realize he was only putting out the lights. When my husband walks back, I bite my lip in anticipation of his movements.

He catches this, lips quirking upward as he rids himself of his clothing. He tilts his head in thought, "does this excite you?"

I nod.

He licks his lips, "do you want to play then, wolf?"

I nod once more, shifting in my place so I could reach out to him.

Daemon walks forward, pushing my black locks back as he allows me to take over the task of undressing him. He hums, "such a sweet girl for her dragon."

I nod again, looking up at him.

He chuckles, "iksan jāre naejot qogralbar ao sīr qopsa."

hello again friends <3 I've had a really hard week and do not know what to say here lol but hope you enjoy this update.

Hotch doesn’t want to tell the team about Alexis until he feels like he has a better grasp on how to balance everything— his work, his friends, his child, now children. You think it’s a little ridiculous, know that the team would drop everything to help him if only they knew, but you respect his choice.

You, however, made yourself the exception to the cloak of secrecy by virtue of the fated soup delivery, and as such, you were soaking up all the baby snuggles you could get. In between helping, of course. Hotch had hired a nanny for when cases came in, whom you had a hand in selecting. Bridgette was perfect, a masters student who could remote into her classes as necessary and had nannied for plenty of D.C. families before, so she understood a chaotic and ever-changing work schedule. She also kept the baby out of daycare, which gave Hotch some peace of mind– Lexie was still so young, and he knew from Jack how quickly schools could become germ factories. Jess helped out as she could, and most nights after work you’d really only go home to change your clothes before heading over to the Hotchner household. Some nights you’d cook dinner or help Jack with his homework, others you’d change diapers and brave spit up on your comfy clothes. You’d all gotten into a rhythm, one smooth enough to have Hotch thinking maybe everything really would work out. 

You’re stirring a pasta sauce with the baby monitor set up next to the oven on this particular evening, while Jack and Aaron are sitting at the kitchen table. 

“Okay, your teacher sent out a list of all of your classmates,” Aaron says as he pulls out the paper from Jack’s backpack, which looks almost miniature compared to his frame. “Make sure you put everyone’s name on a card, alright buddy? We don’t want anyone to be left out,” he explains as Jack tries to work open the box of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Valentines’ Day Cards that they had picked out at the drugstore together. 

“Will I have enough?” He looks up at his dad, and you catch the way his eyebrows pinch in the middle, exactly the same as his father’s. 

“You will, I made sure of it. And you’ll have four extras, just in case.”

Assured by his father’s math, he gets to work, deftly removing stickers from the enclosed packs and placing them on the cards, and carefully scrawling his classmates names in the appropriate spot. Hotch rises from his chair after a moment and crosses the kitchen to come stand next to you. 

“Need any help here?” He asks. It took a while for him to be comfortable enough to let you participate, and you smile at the memory of those first few days, somehow only weeks and also a lifetime ago. There were a few nights where he’d insist that he could feed Lexie, cook dinner, and help Jack with his homework all at once, shooing you away any time you’d try to assist. Things were easier, now that he understood that he wasn’t Superman, even if Jack would always think so. 

“I’m all set,” you tell him. “I think this will all come together by the time Jack’s done. He needs a bath tonight, they played soccer in gym today and you can tell.” 

Hotch chuckles at the way your nose scrunches up while you talk. “Yeah, I noticed that too. He scored a goal, though. He told Bridgette all about it at pick up,” he explains proudly.

You smile. “That’s nice.” 

Hotch sidles in behind you, and you tense up a little at the contact, wondering what exactly he’s doing but secretly hoping he’ll do more of it, when he reaches around you for the baby monitor. 

“She took a long nap today, but she’s starting to wake up now,” he notices, pursing his lips. 

“I take it you want the first cuddles?” You ask with a mock exasperated sigh.

“She is 50% my DNA, I think I’m entitled,” he teases. 

“Fine, fine,” you relent. “But you’re also stuck with the post-nap diaper, so it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.” 

A few minutes later, he emerges with Alexis, who grows bigger each time you blink and has your entire heart wrapped around all three centimeters of her pinky finger. He brings her back to the kitchen table, and Jack practically climbs up on his chair to get a look at her. 

“Did you finish your Valentines, Jack?” Hotch looks over the spread his son has created. 

“Yep. I have four left, just like you said. Do you need them for your work?” He asks sweetly, and Hotch laughs goodnaturedly, stifling it a little so his son doesn’t get self-conscious. 

“No, we don’t really give each other Valentine's Day cards at work, buddy,” Hotch explains.

“Why not?” He asks. 

“Well, we don’t really need to—” Hotch starts to explain, but Jack cuts him off. 

“Ms. Hadley says that Valentines’ Day is important because you need to tell people how much you care about them,” he explains. “We care about Ms. Garcia and Ms. Jareau and Dr. Reid and—” 

“Of course we do, Jack,” Hotch cuts him off. “And there are a whole lot of ways that we can show it, not just cards.” 

“Like how?” 

“Well, we can give things, like cards or gifts. Or we can say nice things to tell people that we’re thinking about them and we love them. We can give hugs and kisses, like you do with your sister,” Hotch explains, craning his arms towards Jack so he could give Lexie a kiss. “Or we can spend time with people, and help them with things.” 

Jack’s face lights up at that, and he clambers out of his chair and into the kitchen, raising his arms and wordlessly demanding to be held. You scoop him up with a smile, and he puts his squishy hands on either side of your face. “Like when you come over and make dinner and read stories and change Lexie’s stinky diaper… that’s because you love us? Me and Lexie and Daddy?”  He asks. 

“Of course, bug,” you answer easily, even as the implication of his father makes your throat tighten. “I love you sooo much,” you say, before peppering his face with kisses and making him giggle. “Go wash up, okay? Dinner is ready.” you tell him, setting him down and watching him race towards the bathroom. 

Aaron comes into the kitchen, then, passing the baby off to you so he can clear Jack’s mess and set the table. You take her with grateful arms, tuck your face into hers so you don’t have to look your boss in the eye after practically telling him you loved him, even if you both knew that wasn’t what you meant. 

“He has a point, you know,” Aaron remarks as he pulls plates out of the cabinet.

“Hmm?” You remark, not pulling your eyes from Lexie’s.

“You do a lot for us. Far more than you have any obligation to do. And it doesn’t go unnoticed,” he elaborates, his voice a slow, even baritone that feels like a betrayal to the way your heart thrums into your chest.

“I’m happy to do it, Hotch. You know that,” you dismiss him. 

“I know,” he says. “Sometimes I worry that I take advantage of your kindness.” 

“You’re not,” you assure him. “I’m here of my own free will.” 

“Because you��� care about us,” He says, seeming to change his mind in the middle of the sentence. 

“If that much wasn’t clear, I’m sincerely concerned about your skills as a profiler,” you snort, cracking a joke to diffuse the tension you were beginning to worry that only you felt.

“Watch it, agent,” he snickers as you make silly faces at Lexie, a further tactic to avoid him. “But in case I hadn’t made it clear, we care very deeply about you, too.”

Okay, sorry for more. But you know, it is funny to me how older gens say that millennials (and zoomers too bc they don’t seem to know the difference and tbh neither do we half the time apparently*) are perpetually stunted adult children or whatever when it feels like we’re the first generations to be more aware of how generational trauma has affected our entire families and are intentionally more careful with our decisions about marriage/children/dealing with our own trauma/etc. I don’t want to paint every generation or person with a brush, but idk. Like. I grew up with Gen X parents who got married and had me young and had literally no emotional regulation/would tantrum at the smallest things (which…they’ve gotten better about), yet they would go on and on about the entitlement of my generation and everything. I feel like I have more empathy for older gens with less choices (especially for the women and minorities of those gens), but I still don’t really get how people just kind of walked through life not giving certain things any thought. Like people who would beat their children and think nothing of it or blindly adhered to beauty standards that made no sense or felt like requirements to exist. I know societal pressure sucks but. I also don’t get it, and I do think that in some ways we are more easily able to question disparities now.

On another note, I hate online warring stuff between Gen Z and Millenials (literally never experienced it irl). Apart from my own generation, I feel like Gen Z is the only other generation I feel understands me in a similar way because we both grew up as “digital natives” or whatever the term is, but also feels like we both had a balance with more regular life stuff too before being online 24/7 became completely inescapable. Idk I feel like there is more shared there and they get it if I talk about x thing vs trying to talk about x thing to the generations who didn’t grow up online lol. There are more overlapping touchpoints and interests. Not to sound like old man, but I do wonder what it’s going to be like for Gen Alpha as they get older. It sounds like kids in schools have a much harder time now with attention spans and behavior and I wonder if there will be a kind of pendulum swing when they get older that makes them want to pull back from being exposed to so much technology or if it will just keep going like it has been. It’s weird. And I know in practice kids and teens really are kind of always kids and teens, but can we deny that having tech everywhere hasn’t changed things somehow? Idk.

Anyway. Going to be an interesting day someday when all of the people who lived their lives pre-widespread Internet are no longer around and the rest of us are ancient relics of the past reminiscing about neopets or spotify wrapped or whatever lol.

*I kind of made this remark bc going back to work I realized that to a certain point I can’t tell ages well at all, and neither can my coworkers, apparently. I work with lot of people ages 23-45 and the people I thought were closer to my age tended to be mid-twenties and then three different times those same people thought I was 24-25 (which I’m not trying to humble brag about bc idc and there’s nothing wrong with getting older, but I think it’s more that I just sound and act in a way people don’t usually expect or something and less that I look younger or whatever. Maybe it’s also bc a lot of us spend a lot more time inside or wearing more sunscreen or. Idk man. I’ve heard people are showing fewer signs of “premature aging” bc of things like that. Put that in quotes bc again, aging is fine and normal). Then there is a lady in her late 40s I thought was early thirties bc she just came off as youthful or something. When someone told me she was almost 50 I was like huh wuh. So. Just saying I do get why people don’t know the difference lmao.

1. How long have you been in this fandom?

I think around 2015-2016(?. 2015 is when I found DL anime, but it was until months later that I got interested with the decond seasom. I started here in tumblr in 2016 and until 2017 I stsrted my OC blog. So… 6-7 years? Oh my…that much? 😳

2. Who's your fictional boyfriend/husband?

Kino my love <3. Since he made his appearance in 2017 and I read his route… puff! I'm in love~ lol. Up until now he has remind as my #1 husbando <3

3. Why do you like them?

For many reasons: we share some things from our past, so I can relate to him for that reason. Also, he's so funny (I love his sense of humor lol), how intelligent and witty he is (I love his role as the villain jijij), how childish and spoiled he can act, we share some hobbies and of course his appeareance and voice makes me weak! Also he's a cutie when he wants, I can't >////<

4. Have you make acquaintance with anyone that ships themselves with the same character?

Hell yeah! @mino-diabolik @kindan-no-kanojo and @eli-loversblog we are all happy members of Kino's harem jijijij

5. How do you feel about it?

Happy and proud. Kino is such a misunderstood character and therefore his fan base is so tiny!! So whenever I find someone that loves Kino AND has an OC with him is like another tiny victory!!

6. Do you feel any negativity towards them?

No? So far I've encounter very few Kino fans, but none has been toxic or something similar 🤷🏻‍♀️.

7. Do you like seeing their oc(s) interact with your man/woman?

As interact with Kino? Or with my OC? Or with both? The answer to all three is: absolutely yes! Kino deserves so much love and every new fan is great news! With Ari makes me feel super super happy for her to be loved and noticed! And with both as a couple makes my heart go 💗💗💗

8. Do you feel competitive against them?

I must admit that when I started I felt a little jealous with some (that are not longer active as far as I know) since they had more support and had the plus to be great artists so bring their ship's dream to reality.

Of course I got over it super fast and I focused on my own personal growth and so far I'm extremely happy to see more people liking and shipping Kino with their OCs!!

9. Confident, or pessimistic?

Eh? About what? My ship? If it's so then... neutral? I mean there were better times for the DL OC community, but understand that times changes and I'm busy with real life responsibilities, so I can't dedicate the time I use to give this blog. Of course is natural people left, others came and I stayed and to pass unnoticed is due to my lack of activity/interactions and such.

So is a 50/50. There are good days and bad ones.

10. Would you like more to get to know about your ship, or would you rather it being lowkey?

Honestly? I miss the old days and I wish I could be more active. But there are so much new people and my some friends are now gone... that I feel anxious. I'm super shy when it comes to socialize and interact with new people + my reduced time online... that is very hard for me. So, I would love to interact more, but I'm shy >/////<

11. Do you follow any of those people (them whom ship themselves with your fictional lover)

Of course! I try to send them asks from time to time and I always check them out whenever I enter here!

12. Are you friends with them?

I'd like to think that ;u; (I have interacted with their Muns and I talk to some more than others jejeje)

13. What do you think about the 'stans' ?

Good question... I'm not sure I know what it means 100%. I deduce you mean those who 'stan' a character as their fans(?.

I think everything in measure and balance is totally OK. You can ship yourself or an OC with them and be creative or have fun! HOWEVER! If your love becomes and obsession and it starts hurting or bothering others... then we have a problem. Is an issue when people believes they 'own' the character or are passive-aggressive with other fans. Excuses as 'I love them more than you do!' Or 'I'm the only one to understand them!' Or 'I'm their only and true girlfriend' is like: Get yourself a therapy~ you're desillusional 🤦🏻‍♀️

14. Are you worried about plagiarism or copying of your oc(s) by others?

There is always that risk. It does annoys me since is a work/creation I made myself and it took me time, work and even money to create.

It did happened to me not long ago that a person took a commission I payed and edited it to put her OC. She made a TERRIBLE work editing it (you know with paint or even Instagram colors), but fortunately she "vanished".

I'm low-key afraid some might steal any of my fanfics and post them as theirs in other platforms though... but I'm not that relevant or famous to worry about that lol. And I haven't made any commissions lately and I haven't seen my commissions around or edited so... I guess I'm fine?

15. How do you handle such a situation if it happens?

A friend was who told me about it and we both worked together to solve it (she was also a victim of that girl as she stole her OC almost everything [appearance, name, ship...] and in my case my commission). As I know what it feels like I try to tell the corresponding authors of the original piece if they are being victims of stealing so we can all work together to solve it.

16. Is your cp public or only between a particular circle of friends?

I'll assume my blog/ship. The answer is public: at this point many know my blog and OC lol.

17. Do you lock a specific cp ship, whats the reason? (I dare you to tag them~!)

Nop. So far I haven't block anyone.

18. What kind of behaviors do you suppose is pretentious to you?

If I understand correectly this question.... I think you mean attitudes that I don't like in fans?

I'll answer as such: I don't like when people thinks they can own a character or many just because they have theirs ocs paired with them. If they are all bark no bite, then you can just ignore them... but if they are those people that actually harass others that pisses me off. I don't get involve in online confrontations (cause' is pathetic really), unless they are attacking friends of mine in a very mean way. I'm ready to thows hands!

ALSO the thieves or tracers also annoys me, becuase their arguments and actions are stupid. 'I found them online! So I shared it!', 'I'm doing them a favor by posting it in my profile!' or 'Who are you to tell me what to do? I post what I want!'. UGH! HATE THEM! If you don't know how to draw: DON'T POST OTHER'S WORK!

Overall, I just find annoying those people that are immature or mean in general so I just avoid them.

19. What kind of comments do you dislike the most when it comes cp feedbacks of your oc(s)?

I haven't encounter any of the sort directed to me specifically? But I've seen what haters are willing to do.

I hate when they simply critize the OC in question with their stupid opinions like: 'I don't like your OC because is not pretty', 'she's ugly', 'she's a Marie Sue', 'she's a cheap copy of *insert character*', 'you need to improve your skills', or the best one 'I don't like your OC, stop shring her!' etc. Like: SHUT UP! NO ONE ASKED YOU. IF YOU DON'T LIKE A SHIP SIMPLY UNFOLLOW OR BLOCK. NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR DAMN OPINION.

20. Have you receive hates about your oc(s) before?

nop, thankfully. But if I encounter one, I'll simply block them~

21. Do you have a complete love story of your cp? 

yep! Well... the official route is still incomplete lol. I'm missing some endings, but I haven't come up with something .-.

BUT I have created so many AUs that is impressive how many lives they have lived and fallen in love with :'D

Sure! Sometims it's me who begs my Ari to be ship with others ocs [Mystic I'm looking at you!], but I haven't had luck(?

Excited? When the fandom was more active and many ocs interacted with each other! It was so much fun!

It's been interesting reading commetns because I think we're all just so primed to be like "ok who was most right" in any situation we read, but I intentionally write really gnarled ones where there isn't usually some villain with an evil plan lol. I think too we were all so excited for Jungkook to finally speak up about some things we know he's been holding onto that we've forgotten he made that choice to not speak up about them in the first place and that doesn't excuse his behavior, even if it explains it. He can't hide his feelings and then when it's a convenient defense, finally let them erupt! Even if that's very human to do haha. Like if my kid kicks his brother, he can't just tell me "but he kicked me first" and I say oh ok, you're good to go then. Or even "he called me a poop head three days ago," "ah, got it baby, take him down then." 🤣

As much as we may want a partner to read our mind and notice when we are hurt, it's not fair to expect that and we need to communicate those things if we expect change. Now there are things they've argued about before that might still be happening, so I'm not saying this is just a wash in Sasha's direction either! That's why I had suggested in some other asks, it's really probably best to take things one at a time rather than trying to balance out some grand summation --not just because there are things on both sides, but because even though the context and cause behind things may be cumalitive, that doesn't mean the resulting actions were the mature/right ones. The mature relationship skill isn't to hold onto those things until you've hurt your partner and then whip them all out to deflect. I don't know that he was consciously doing that, but it's not that different actually than what everyone was mad at Namjoon doing. "Forget about X, she did Y so she's not allowed to be mad about Z."

Anywayyyy this is fun and tangled and I suspect mrelationship conselors would be salivating over this scenario LOL. But I'm glad you have friends who are looking out for you and your relationship with JK, even if it's so they can piggyback on your wealth 😂

Jasmine found that Tuesday nights worked the best for her.

The club wasn't as packed as it was on the weekend shows that often blended up until Monday night.

But Tuesdays were perfect.

She usually had to share the VIP room with just a couple of people, mostly middle-aged men. She tried not to think about them, let alone make eye contact. She was there just for Bosco.

Thankfully for her, Jasmine had made somewhat friends with one of the bouncers at the club, she made sure Daya's... services were appreciated.

Daya's stature was imposing but reassuring to Jasmine as she knew she wouldn't let anything happen to her. It also helped that the tall woman was also her main way to reach Bosco.

Jasmine let her driver drop her off just in front of the club, stepping on the curb and into the warming up NYC weather. She quickly made her way up to the door, not even needing to show her ID.

She crossed paths with Daya soon after getting inside, giving her a small wave.

"Welcome back, Miss Kennedie," she greeted her as she stepped to the side to let the blonde into the VIP area, "Ready for tonight's show?"

"I was born ready," she smiled, "Has she started yet?"

Daya shook her head, "The owners actually hired a new performer and they are testing her out today," she informed her, "She should start in a few, Bosco will take over at the end of her set"

Jasmine didn't hide her surprise, it had been almost a month since she had started attending the club religiously and this had been the first change in schedule she had seen.

She made her way to her 'unofficial' table and got ready for the show.

The new performer was interesting. She clearly knew what she was doing and yet something was missing for Jasmine.

She was absolutely stunning, the blonde had to give her that, and she seemed to be having fun.

She took her time getting around the room, smiling and moving her body to the music for the entertainment of the patrons until she reached Jasmine.

She seemed surprised to see someone like her in her audience and Jasmine couldn't completely blame her for it. If it weren't for that stupid burlesque artist, she wouldn't want to be there either.

The blonde reached for her bag, pulling out a couple of 50$ bills, giving them to the performer with a smile.

The woman returned her smile, leaning forward to kiss her cheek and making sure to leave a mark on it. Jasmine was left starstruck as she watched the performer finish up her routine as if nothing happened.

It was just the sound of the music change that brought her back from her thoughts.

Bosco was on the center stage, looking breathtaking as usual. However, Jasmine could feel something different about them.

She felt it the moment their eyes met.

The brunette had their icy blue eyes fixed on her as they went around performing their number - Jasmine had it memorized by now.

But instead of their usual tease and walking around her table, Bosco went right and sat next to her. They draped their naked legs over hers, balancing themselves with their core as they kept their feet pointed.

Jasmine could feel her heart fasten at the closeness, not having expected it in the slightest as Bosco leaned over.

She let them run their fingers across her jaw, her breath hitching when she felt them take a hold of her chin.

"Trying to replace me already, kitten?" they purred against her ear.

Jasmine could feel her face redden at the pet name, shaking her head for as much as Bosco's grip allowed her to.

"Then we better make sure you won't forget me," they continued before they pressed their lips against the most sensitive spot on her neck, sucking on it just enough that Jasmine was sure they had left more than a simple lipstick mark.

Bosco seemed to be admiring their work on her as they let out a satisfied hum, "Red suits you, kitten," they stated before taking the 100$ bill from her hand and getting up from the couch. They made sure to sway their hips back around the room as if nothing had happened.

As soon as the show was over, Jasmine took out her phone and opened the frontal camera, finally noticing the first lipstick mark left by the other performer. It was a dark shade of red, almost black.

Bosco's mark - she still couldn't believe it - bared their signature red lip and a hickey.

Bosco had just given her a fucking hickey.

Some Favorite Fics from 2020

Like last year, I want to end 2020 by highlighting some fics that have become favorites over the last twelve months. Before I dive into it though, I just want to take a minute to send some love to all of the authors writing in this fandom.

As of the end of 2019, there were about 8.8 million words of fic on AO3 for this fandom. This year, more than 450 authors have added another 15 million more. That’s so incredibly impressive, especially in a year this difficult. Thank you, thank you, thank you to every single person who contributed to that, whether you wrote one fic or a hundred, a drabble or a novel. Thank you for giving this fandom the gift of your creativity and voice. Your work is so, so appreciated, and you’ve helped to create joy in a year where it was often in short supply. 💗💗💗

A Case of You by DoubleL27 • rated T • 6k+ patrick is an absolute menace in exactly the way you would expect every valentine’s day. it’s funny and sweet and ends with them in exactly the kind of future we all want for them

Dulce by another_Hero • rated T • 1k+ original characters can be hard to do right. they have to be compelling enough to fit in with these characters we already know so well, and dulce is the kind of character who grabs you from the start. the whole series is lovely, but this first interaction with ronnie is my favorite of them

Tea-Kettle Love by ArabellaStrange • rated G • 5k+ even though this coda to “the pitch” isn’t technically canon compliant now, it still feels a lot like it is. it’s about the sacrifices we are and aren’t willing to make for the people we love, taking the new york discussion into more depth than we get in the show and still arriving in largely the same place

Vanquished by Codswallop • rated G • 3k+ if you’re looking for soft, fluffy sickfic, this is not it, lol. patrick is sick here but won’t let anyone take care of him. he’s stubborn and basically minor chaos ensues. it’s funny and sweet but not schmaltzy. the characterization is 👌, and it feels like the kind of thing that fits perfectly into the world of the show

To Come Out the Other Side by unfolded73 • rated T • 4k+ • warning for major character death i don’t want to read sad things about david and patrick very often, but sometimes the mood strikes. this one is definitely sad right from the start, but there’s hope and resilience through grief, and i think this year especially, there’s something to be said for stories that can make you feel like there is still good to be found after the bad

Hold Me Like You’ll Never Let Me Go by moodlighting • rated T • 21k+ i never would have thought that a fic would make me WANT to be trapped in an airport, but it’s 2020 and anything is possible, lol. this is what meet cute dreams are made of

Your mother keeps a spreadsheet by upbeat • rated G • 3k+ obviously i love a good spreadsheet, so this one was up my alley from the start, lol. but really it’s moira and patrick bonding through the cataloguing of her wigs (and all the stories that go with them) that makes this one an easy favorite

keep me in the pulses, keep me in the sound by dinnfameron • rated G • 2k+ this sweet little slice of a summer vacation made me ache to be with friends. plus, sometimes you just need some overwhelmingly happy david rose. he deserves it, and so do we

eggs and the flour, no higher power by withkissesfour • rated T • 1k+ i’m pretty sure this fic is the definition of sweet, in more ways than one. it’s a short piece, but the writing is lush and indulgent in all the right places, just like the cakes being described

sustineo by rockinhamburger • rated E • 10k+ before i was even done reading this fic, i wanted another 50k words set in this universe. the conversation between david and patrick is sharp in all the right ways, and because this david has such a hard shell to crack after being hurt in such a horrible and heartbreaking way, it’s that much more satisfying watching patrick break through it

All-Natural Care, Locally Sourced by Siria • rated T • 2k+ siria’s fics are always funny, with banter that’s so perfectly on point, and that’s certainly true here. but there are also care packages and photos and just so much love. it’s a perfect balance, just like the show

hold on to me as you go by helvetica_upstart • rated T • 3k+ i love a good look at just how long patrick has been head over heels in love with david and how much he was in this for life all along. this fic does just that through the framework of times that they saw their new house before they bought it, and it’s everything that you would want that concept to be and more

Exposed Brick by swat117 • rated M • 9k+ this is such a lovely look at david and patrick a few years into their marriage, steady in all the right ways, even when old fears try to rise up between them. it gives david a chance to be the solid and supportive one in the relationship, something i never get tired of reading

We Could Turn the World to Gold by middyblue • rated T • 27k+ as someone who also did c25k at one point, i def empathize with david’s plight in this fic, lol. as much fun as that part of the story is, it’s really the house and everything related to that part of the story that makes this a favorite in my book. this was posted very early in s6, so it’s not the house from canon, but it’s beautiful either way to see them so excited about building their future together there

Waiting on the Day by High-Seas-Swan • rated E • 22k+ this is another fic that makes me absolutely ache for things i couldn’t have this year, namely my favorite local brewery and all the nights spent there with friends. beyond that, it’s just a very sweet AU, and the scene with their first kiss and the rest of that night live in my head rent free

Pot o’ Gold by ahurston • rated E • 22k+ where is the leprechaun/love of my life who’s gonna take me out to eat all of the best foods that my city has to offer? this one is a slow burn but their relationship is so much fun to read right from the start that you definitely don’t mind taking your time getting there. also, the palm reading scene. good grief.

there is no design by the_hodag • rated T • 12k+ this fic gives us a look at some of david’s art, and all the loneliness and love that inspires it. it’s poignant and painful and hopeful and sweet in turn, and i think it does a marvelous job of capturing so many of the facets of david’s past that have made him who he is

A Little Broken, A Little New by nameless_bliss • rated G • 3k+ i’ve read this fic several times now, and david and johnny having a conversation about their own relationship through the guise of talking about patrick and his parents never fails to make me cry

Une très bonne table dans sa catégorie by cromarty • rated T • 23k+ just the concept of this one alone would have sold me on it—like, hello? michelin reviewer and chef? sign me the fuck up—but it’s written with the kind of attention to detail i always expect from claire’s writing, and the fact that it practically starts with a first kiss but then pulls back makes for a delicious dynamic as they build a friendship over that foundational attraction, both tempering and intensifying the wait for them to find their way back into each others’ arms

happy golden days of yore by blueink3 • rated E • 17k+ i literally stopped in the middle of this fic, sat down on my kitchen floor, and had a good cry. i hate thinking about them ending up divorced in the first place, but even as exes, they’re so careful and gentle with one another and so, so clearly still in a forever kind of love. that makes it bearable to see them apart because even if it weren’t tagged for a happy ending, there’s such a feeling of inevitability to it, you know exactly how it’s going to end and just get to enjoy the devastating ride it takes to get there

Fifteen Hundred Miles by MoreHuman • rated M • 30k+ this is one of those fics where everything comes together just right and achieves a perfect balance of introspection and action, courage and fear, despair and hope, forthright honesty and cautious reservation... MoreHuman makes it all look easy, which says so much about all the care that had to have gone into the planning and writing. this fic does everything well, and it’s an absolute pleasure to read from start to end

840 Havenwood Road E by Distractivate • rated E • 10k+ we barely see david and patrick’s new house in the show, so it shouldn’t be possible for me to be as emotional about it as this fic makes me, every single time i read it. but it’s the home they chose, the place they decided to build a life together, and getting to see flashes of that life through the years and how much love they clearly had for each other within those four walls just makes me cry again and again

June 2021 Picks

And would you look at that, it’s the end to another month. I feel like I started a lot of new series in June and continued some favorites as others had their seasons come to an end. (Who else can’t wait for the third season of Nancy Drew this fall?) So without further ado, let’s jump right into it!

Spoilers....spoilers...spoilers....

GRANTCHESTER

At the end of last month I started watching the British mystery series, Grantchester following Vicar Sidney Chambers and D.I. Geordie Keating as they solve murder mysteries together in the “quiet” town of Grantchester. I was in the mood for a period piece and got hooked instantly. The show is about six episodes/50 minutes a piece, so it is very easy to finish a season in one sitting. When the show starts it is the 1950s and Sidney is experiencing PTSD from his time in WWII as well as a broken heart as the love of his life, Amanda, is getting married to another guy (who is much richer). He forms a friendship with Geordie as they solve cases together. Each man balances the other out. 

When I started the show I knew that James Norton (who plays Sidney Chambers) was not currently still on the show and was curious when he left/why. I just started season 4 and have just watched the episode he left. SPOILERS AHEADDDDDD!!!! I thought he would have left with Amanda as season three seemed to be building up to that. I wasn’t a big fan of their relationship, so I was happy he didn’t (although he would have been a great surrogate father to Grace). I was surprised to see he left Grantchester for America with Violet, but I think it was a great decision. Sidney was constantly in the same cycle as Geordie mentions during 4x02 and around Violet there was noticeably a change for the better. I’m curious if in future episodes they’ll talk about him and his time in America. 

So, now we are welcomed to Will Davenport played by Tom Brittney and I’m ready to see what’s in store for him and the show. I was ready for some fresh blood and storyline and can’t wait to continue watching. I also think he’s very easy on the eyes and gives me Henry Cavill vibes, so that’s a plus (lol). 

SOY LUNA

Two completely different shows, but this and Grantchester have been my must watches recently. (I know it’s quite a big range.) Soy Luna is a South American Disney telenovela that is available for streaming on Disney Plus. After watching Violetta last year (and finished this year), I wanted to check Soy Luna out. I did want to give myself some time between shows, as I didn’t want to do too much comparing back and forth. Also, this is another long investment as once again the first two seasons are 80 episodes a piece (I think season 3 is only 60. That’s right I said only). I have quickly got hooked on this show. Here we follow Luna who moves from her home in Mexico to Barcelona when her adopted parents get a new job working for a rich family. Compared to Violetta, (yes, I said I wouldn’t compare so much, but how can you not) Soy Luna has a lot more mystery right away. This starts with why Mrs. Benson hires Luna’s parents as well as the secret she has regarding certain family members who “died” tragically. When Luna moves, she brings her passion for roller-skating and gets a job at Jam and Roller. In the show, roller-skating is very popular and everyone does it. There’s singing, but not as much as Violetta (or at least so far). There’s also A LOT of characters. In the beginning it was very hard for me to keep track of everyone (as you can see in the picture above). I felt like we were constantly meeting new ones. I also don’t know if I still know everyone’s names. There are a few actors who were on Violetta and my favorites are Rey (who was Gregerio because his character is so different) and Raffa Palmer and Marotti who act together and are hilarious. 

Naturally, there’s another love triangle involving the main character and I have it spoiled for who she winds up with because this show has been out for a while and I know people who watched it. I am interested to see how the Luna/Matteo/Simon storyline works out (and don’t mind either guy in the love triangle), but find I’m more excited to watch the love between Nina and Gaston grow. Right now, they’ve only had a few scenes together, but I am already loving them so much. 

DISNEY/PIXAR’S LUCA

This straight to Disney Plus release is adorable and has quickly become one of my favorite Pixar films that I can’t wait to watch again. If that doesn’t make you want to watch it then I don’t know what will (: Ever since the trailer was released I was very intrigued to learn more about Luca and couldn’t wait to watch it. I feel like it lived up to the hype. I love the characters and the transition they make from life under the sea to the land. The setting of Italy is so colorful and I loved all the Italian sayings used. I think it would be so cool if eventually they could be represented in the Italy Pavilion in Epcot. As for themes, friendship is a big one in the movie as well as finding your identity and acceptance over discrimination. While we’ve seen many of these before, there’s something special about this one. I really enjoyed all the characters and the acting. Highly recommend this one! 

NETFLIX’S SWEET TOOTH

One of Netflix’s latest shows, Sweet Tooth, had a lot of buzz when it was released last month. I didn’t know anything about it, but heard the story was based on a graphic novel by the same name. The trailer was really intriguing and I knew I had to watch the show. I will put out a warning though that this show involves a virus that wipes out most of the population leading into an apocalypse. If you find this triggering or too close to home then I would suggest not watching the show. They do wear masks, and there was a sign about social distancing that gave me chills. It’s stuff that in a pre 2020 world I wouldn’t have thought twice about. Now it gave me a different view of the show. Anyways, the premise of this show is that there was a virus that was released at the same time that hybrid babies were born. The show follows a trio of characters, but arguably the main character is Gus aka Sweet Tooth whose Pubba brought him in the woods as a baby to escape the crumbling society. There he raised Gus until he’s about 10/11. From there Gus ventures out to find his mom and the truth about who he is/what is going on. He is paired with Big Man as well as some others along the way. It has really been an interesting show and I only have one episode left. I’m curious how everything is going to be wrapped up and hope there is a somewhat satisfying ending as Netflix has been known for cutting a lot of shows after their first season recently. 

LOKI

Loki has been one of my favorite characters since I watched Thor. I was so happy every time he appeared in one of the Marvel movies and was ecstatic when it was revealed he’d be getting a show (especially after his fate during Infinity Wars). After the success of Wandavision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I was pumped for the Loki series to start (and on a Wednesday, rather than a Friday!!!) I love Tom Hiddleston’s acting and how he’s able to get in the mindset of a “younger” Loki following Avengers in this show. That first episode when he sees his future in front of him really tugged on my heartstrings. The show overall has been a little bit harder for me to get into. I don’t know if it’s the strong Sci-Fi/time travel (which I usually love), but it’s been tough to follow at times. I did really like last episode (3) and am interested to see what happens next. I just might have to rewatch a scene or episode again to pick up everything that’s going on. 

HBO MAX’S FRIENDS REUNION

The highly anticipated Friends Reunion was released on HBO MAX earlier in June. I didn’t know what to expect, but was very happy in the format and overall special. It was a combination of live interviews with James Cordon to behind the scenes footage, and seeing the cast reunite with each other and the sets. I really liked the few script reads and how flawlessly it was edited to the original scene. It was great seeing them interact together. (My heart did ache for Matthew Perry though, but you could see he was more comfortable outside of the interview with James Cordon). I learned a lot about the beginnings of the show and all the projects some of the actors were signed on before or at the same time as Friends. I watched this special after attending the NYC Friends Experience and just thought it was the icing on the cake to seeing the sets and some props from the show. I can’t wait to go back and watch the episodes again. (Even though I’m watched them thousands of times before.)

my colour palette tutorial

ok, so a little while ago i had an anon ask where i got my template for my recent colour palette memes gifsets (this gifset in particular). These are templates i made myself so i offered to make a tutorial, i never got an answer but as it was an anon asking i know why but i figured i’d make one anyway because when i was looking for tutorials for gifs like this it got me a little confused. So if you see this anon i hope you like this tutorial :)

So to start off with you’ll need to gifs that you have prepared earlier (so cropped, sharpened all that... i’ve done a tutorial of my own gifs here already if you wanna see the whole process) Today our subject is the one and only Steve Harrington, because who else would it be on the blog let’s be honest lol.

You need to make sure they are both the same amount of frames (or if the scene is super short double to frames then crop down the other to that frame length)

Now I start with the background gif, that’s the one that’ll focus on the colour of the palette. With it cropped and sharpened i add my psd, which goes as;

selective colour (focusing on the whites, black and a little of the colour) > brightness/contrast > curves > levels >another brightness contrast > colour balance > another selective colour (this time that focuses on bringing the colour out) > and yet another brightness/contrast.

Then i add 3 layers filled with the colour from the palette i’m working from;

The first is a screen layer set to 15% opacity, this will be put below the layers from my psd. The second layer is a normal layer set to 50% opacity, this is put above the layers from my psd. The third layer is a lighten layer set at 35%

(i noticed after editing this the colours on the layer are different, but they should be the same colour if you try this, and they’ll be the same colour in my final product)

With all these layers in place my background gif looks like this;

Ok background in place now we get to the foreground gif with the ripped paper texture. I have a variety of different paper rips pngs that i googled and downloaded from the net. I try to pick two that look similar or go well together.

I crop them and then size them down, then drag them and arrange on the gif like this;

I merge the 2 torn paper, use an level adjustment to bring the white out more (or you could do it the other way and make it black, it doesn’t matter) and then merge the torn paper and the level layer together and fill the middle white

Now i’ve got the shape i want i move it over to the background layer and arrange where i want to be

back to the foreground gif, I select all the frames and copy them and go back to the background gif. Select all the frames too, select paste frame and past over selection. When they are pasted i them drag the foreground frames so that they are aligned with the torn paper layer.

I group the gif frames into the background and foreground gifs, leaving the torn paper above them like so

Next i press the ctrl button and left click on the torn paper layer so it looks like this

then i select the foreground layer group and add a layer mask

By pre selecting the torn paper layer the layer mask comes out in the shape of the torn paper. Now we can delete / or hide the original torn paper layer, so it’ll look like this

Then finally we right click on the foreground group and go to blending options and add a drop shadow effect

Which brings us to the final product;

if you’re wondering about the colour change it was because i originally planned on making this and posting within a day... Then Tumblr decided my original file wasn’t gonna work despite it to my knowledge being under the size limit (maybe it was too white who the fuck knows...) Which led me to give up on the gifset for the day and start fresh the next day.

But anyway that’s a tutorial for how i do this, i know i’ve probably missed something somewhere or not explained something as thoroughly as i could have done, so if you have any questions feel free to ask and have a nice day.

“How do you like it?” Sam asked.

You turned to the mirror, eyes wide and mouth agape, admiring your new suit.

“This is awesome!” You squealed.

Sam, Tony, and Nat had deisgned a new suit for you. After your last battle, your suit had been torn to shreds. It had been months since you were able to go out in the field and you’d be anxious to fight crime. Now that you had your new suit, you were now able to fight crime.

You were named Fox. You were sly, witty, and and charming. Not just in your moves, but your personality, too. You had been working alongside your dad, Iron Man, for 7 years. You were 10 when you started, obviously too young to actually be fighting, but you were his right hand woman at all times. You helped him with his suit, team, and plans on how to deal with missions.

Your suit was a dark orange body suit, much like Nat’s. You had fingerless gloves, black combat boots, and an orange mask that went around your eyes. You had a black stripe down your suit’s back, much like a fox’s. You also had a utility belt with a grapling hook, taser, and pepper spray — you could never be too careful in the city. You and Tony tried hard to keep your identity safe, especially since you were still in high school.

“Do you think we need to add anything?” Tony asked.

“Can I get rockets on the bottoms on my shoes like you?” You asked.

Tony chuckled, “We’d have to change the whole material of your suit, cupcake. You don’t like metal, remember?”

You grumbled, “Yeah, yeah. Well, I love it! Thank you guys so much.” You turned to them with a big smile.

“No problem, babe,” Nat smiled. “You have training with me today at five.”

You nodded, “Noted.”

“There will be someone else joining you in trianing today,” Tony said.

“Who? Is it Bucky?” You asked. “No, he’s new,” Tony said.

“Wow, that gives me a lot. Who is it?” You pressed. 

“You’ll see. He’s actually pretty good for just starting out,” Sam smirked. 

You sighed, knowing they were gonna make it a surprise. 

“Well, I can’t wait!” You faked enthusiasm. You didn’t like surprises. 

You went off and up to your room, changing out of your suit and into running shorts and a t-shirt. You decided to take a nap before your training.

You woke up 2 hours later, still as exhausted as before. You filled up your water bottle before going into the gym. You saw Nat and a brunette boy. He wasn’t too much taller and by the back of his head, he didn’t look too much older.

“Hey, Nat,” you greeted as you walked in and set your water bottle near the mat. 

“Hey, Y/n! This is our new recruit, Peter Parker. You probably know him as Spider-Man,” Nat smiled. Peter turned around and his eyes widened. 

His heart started to race and his face turned red as he looked over you. Your eyes were bright and lively, your smile being the most gorgeous smile he’d ever seen. Your skin flawless and you had no makeup on, but you still looked beautiful. 

“Hi,” you smiled. “I’m Y/n Stark,” you held out your hand. 

Peter opened his mouth to speak, but the only sound that came out was a squeak. Nat and you chuckled at his shock. 

“H-hi. I’m Parker. No, Pe-Peter,” he stuttered and shook your hand. 

“Not used to meeting important people, huh?” You smirked. 

“Ye-yeah, but also pretty people,” he blurted. His face turned a darker shade of red and he slapped his mad over his mouth. 

The action made Nat giggle and his words made flustered as well.

“Thank you, Peter,” you said shyly and looked down at your shoes. 

“Ready to get to work, love birds?” Nat teased. 

You rolled your eyes and nodded. You took a long sip of water.

“We are gonna start on the treadmill, do some weights, and I’m gonna teach you some combat moves,” Nat instructed. 

You and Peter nodded and got up on the treadmills. 

“One mile today. Remember to pace yourself. If you get tired, don’t be afraid to slow down a little,” Nat said. 

You started the treadmill at 3.5 so you can warm up for a few minutes before running. You took a small sip of your water as you sped-walked. You looked over and saw Peter already running his mile. Your brows cocked upwards as you saw him running at 6.0 speed.

You worked your way up to 6.0 speed, finishing your mile in 6 minutes. Peter, however, finished 3 minutes after you. 

“I said pace yourself, kid,” Nat said. 

Peter blushed again and nodded. 

“Next time, follow Y/n’s lead. She paces herself nicely,” Nat said while you took a drink of water. 

“Thanks, Nat. I have been doing this for a long time,” you smiled. 

“How long? Are you a superhero?” Peter asked. 

“Mhm,” you hummed. “I’ve been helping my dad since I was 10. I’ve been a superhero for 3 years.”

“What’s your superhero name?” Peter asked. 

“Fox.”

“Oh, my God! Really? I-I am such a big fan. You were what actually inspired me to become Spider-Man. I think it’s so cool how you save people and fight off bad guys without any superpowers,” Peter gushed. 

“Thank you, Pete,” you giggled at his excitement. 

“You’re welcome. Wow, this is so cool. I am working with Fox, Iron Man, Black Widow,” Peter smiled. 

“You’re lucky, kid,” Nat smiled and patted his back. “Okay, why don’t you all stretch. Peter, have you ever benched before?” 

Peter shook his head while stretching his hamstrings. 

“Okay, we’ll start you out with 45 pounds. If that’s too light, we’ll bump it up to 50,” Nat said and put the weights on the bar. “Y/n, what do you wanna do today?”

“Uh, I’ll do a leg and glute day today. My arms need a break,” you said. 

“Rock and roll, then. I’ll spot you, Parker,” Nat said. Peter went to bench press while you went to the kickback machine. 

You and Peter worked in weights for about an hour. You did a variety of workouts while Peter mainly focused on how to use each machine and which would be most beneficial for him. 

“Okay. Grab a drink, use the bathroom, whatever you need before we do some fighting,” Nat said. 

You both went to do your things before you were going to fight. You came back in the gym, stretching your arms while walking in.

“Ready to work, Pete?” You asked the boy and patted his back. He nodded and choked on his water when he looked up at you

You changed our of your shorts and t-shirt to black biker shorts and a grey sports bra. The biker shorts hugged your body perfectly and the top of your breats showed, making Peter stare.

You noticed and smirked. “My eyes are up here, kid.”

His eyes immediately shot up and his face blushed for what seemed like the 100th time today.

“I am so sorry. I just don’t see girls in bras, like, ever. In gym class we all wear t-shirts, which makes sense. I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I swear I’m not a prevert or anything, you just look really uh... nice? I—”

Nat and you turned to each other, amusement played on your faces. You turned back to the rambling boy.

“It’s okay, Peter. I get it, boobs are nice to look at. Especially when you’re a hormonal, almost always horny, teenage boy,” you teased.

“I’m not horny!” He claimed, embarrassing himself more.

“Don’t worry, I never assumed you were. I was just speaking generally,” you smiled.

“Oh,” he said and he looked down sheepishly.

“No worries. Now, let’s get goin’,” you said.

Peter nodded and followed you to the mat. 

“So, we are going to practice some basic moves. Y/n, I know you already know them, but there is nothing wrong with reviewing,” Nat said. 

You both nodded, waiting for further instruction.

“So, the first one is simple, yet very dangerous. It’s also fairly easy, in my opinion. It’s called the rear neck choke,” Nat said. “Peter, you’re gonna stand behind Y/n and put your arm around her neck.”

Peter nodded and awkwardly stood behind you. Your butt brushed against his crotch, making him cough awkwardly. He put his arm around your neck. The skin-to-skin contact made your heart flutter. You cleared your throat, too, breathing deeply to try and slow your heart rate.

“Good. Now, you basically just squeeze until the person passes out. Y/n, why don’t you demenstrate the next move,” Nat said.

You smiled and took ahold of Peter’s arm. You then crouched down and pulled him over your head. You flipped him over on the mat.

“Ow,” he whined as he fell. He looked up at you and couldn’t help but smile. You stood tall, hands on your hips and a smile on your face.

“Now, Peter, what you can do when she does that is hook your legs on her ankles and pull so she looses balance. You then can reach for her ankle and throw her across the room. But, we arent going to do that. What you can do, though, is do the ankle bit I told you. Then you can pin her down,” Nat explained.

Peter looked at you two hesitantly. “I don’t want to hurt you.”

Y/n chuckled, “It’s all right. You won’t hurt me that bad, I promise.”

Peter nodded and did as he was told. He hooked his feet over your ankle and jerked you so your feet gave out beneth you. He then got up quickly to pin you down, but you were quicker.

You rolled over and pinned him down instead. Your left hand held his wrists above his head while your right held down his shoulder. Your legs went around his waist and squeezed slightly to make sure he wouldn’t move. Your head leaned down to his, a triumphant smile resting on your lips.

“W-wha-” Peter was at a loss for words. Not just because you beat him, but how close you two were.

He breathed in deeply, catching a whiff of your scent. You smelled like cherries and vanilla. Your skin was smooth, clear, and glowing from the sheer film of sweat on your face. You looked like an angel to him, nonetheless.

“And that is why you gotta be faster, Parker. But you’ll learn in time. You’re already pretty good on the field by yourself,” Nat said.

Peter nodded. You got up off of him and helped him up.

“Wanna try that again? I promise I won’t do that again,” you suggested.

“Sure,” Peter nodded and laid back on the mat.

He hooked onto your ankle again. As you promised, you let him pin you down. You watched the way he moved. He was swift and fast. The way his muscles flexed when he grabbed your wrist made your stomach flip.

He got on top of you, pinning both your wrists like you did to him. His free hand went to the side of your face, helping him support himself so he wouldn’t be laying directly on top of you.

Your heart rate quickened once more and you felt like it was hard to breathe. A few strands of his hair were hanging down from his head and he had sweat glistening on his forehead. His honey-brown eyes was something you found yourself getting lost in quickly. He was so handsome.

“Uh... Y/n?” Peter muttered, catching your attention.

You blinked rapidly and looked away in embarrassment. “Sorry.”

“It’s okay,” he gave you a friendly smile and got off of you.

“Okay, water break. You two practice those few moves a few more times,” Nat said.

You got up and took a big sip of your water bottle. You then got back to training with Peter. He was a fast learner and almost every time pinned you down. You, however, were slightly faster.

Each time you got on top of him, Peter couldn’t help the butterflies in his stomach. He’d never been this close to a girl before.

Thirty minutes later and the session was over.

“Good job, you two. Next time we’ll get into more moves involving punching and such. See you later, kiddos,” Nat smiled at you two. She left the gym and you turned to Peter.

“It was nice meeting you, Pete. Maybe we can hang out outside of training?” You suggested.

Peter’s eyes lit up and he nodded excitedly.

“Y-yeah. I’d like that.”

“Great. Give me your number next time. See you, Spidey,” you waved and left the gym.

Peter jumped up and down. He couldn’t wait to tell Ned.

Uncomfortable close-up to their Valentine Newlywed answers

Since Rhett was a tad reluctant to compliment Link sincerely I decided to use my psychoanalytical skills (anyway whatever) and seek the underlying honest answers they wanted to give. This could be a bit much at times and perhaps you shouldn't read if you are not a Rhink shipper, that's why I used a cut.

"What he loves about me" Link's expression is a little confusing - maybe an attempt at doubt or self-deprecation but it looks to me more like the embarrassment of the blushing bride.

"I love your..."

Who wants to bet that the first thing that came to Rhett's mind was ass but then he changed it to the first word that came to his mind after ass? A-ccent. Like, there's just no case accent was the first thing he thought because Link's accent isn't even that strong at this point. When Link got surprised at that, Rhett simply replied that he was trying to find something funny. But even so, like I said earlier, Rhett does love Link's accent. I am sure he is fond of it, he finds it adorable. And let's not forget he said "there was so much he could choose from"!

Link looks disappointed that it's not his guess, his eyes. An interesting thing here is that although he used a personality trait for Rhett, he expected / hoped for this physical trait for himself. But don't feel sorry - Rhett has talked about his baby blues and has even gone to the ridiculous extents of planning to make a blog exclusively for Link's eyes. So don't worry; it is known that Rhett at least acknowledges the beauty of Link's eyes. At least. And Link was expecting this from a place of knowledge and not as an attempt to be silly-sappy.

Things Rhett thinks Link loves about him:

voice (Link will later say he loves his laugh and this is close, he's also enchanted every time Rhett sings so...)

height (Link once said he is attracted to "people of extreme heights")

hair (we know that)

beard (lie detector test)

giving spirit (lol totally)

creativity (they've talked about this many times)

eyebrows (if Link has said he likes Rhett's eyelashes then liking his eyebrows is certain)

Rhett was guessing from a place of knowledge too.

Rhett then said he loves stories of Link's grandma doing weird things with him and I don't like being the weirdo to spell out the weird thing but Rhett's interest in that is vaguely associated to his weird mind being always in the gutter. I don't mean it turns him on of course but he loves hearing weird stuff that border on creepy. You know it's true. Sometimes he's like that. Link took revenge for the accent joke with the psoriasis.

Wow we saw some Rhett teeth. Link answered sincerely with a super cute "I love your laugh" but Rhett just said "I love the sound your mouth makes when you don't chew". Oh well. Link regretted being sincere and Rhett, after some good laughter, defended himself by saying "he (Link) walked himself into it". This makes exactly zero sense and I am wondering whether he meant Link walked himself into it by choosing the vulnerable / sincere way. Or if he just didn't know what he was talking about.

Rhett then asks for the next answer to be complimentary. He then repeats he has strong feelings about Link's accent. Again, I believe this! In a positive light. IDK, I do believe this. Link said he has strong positive feelings for Rhett's car which I found weird like Rhett because I thought it was established Link has the better car of the two. Who knows, maybe he lied about the positive thing. Unless he connects it in his mind with memories / experiences.

Link's guess a little later:

Link: If I wanted to, I could easily... start over.

Rhett: Start over?! Like, whole life?

L: ...Yeah, just like, get a re-do.

R: Huh.

L: And I would be like "Really? How?"

R: Mmkay. I said "If you wanted to, you could easily kill me".

Okay, this gets a little deeper. I think what initially Link meant was a joke about starting over regarding his relationship with Rhett. Rhett didn't get that and asked him if he meant his whole life. Link considered that "mmyeah..." and realised it wasn't that far off from what he meant, all jokes aside. Link does wish he could start over and redo many things in his life. This surely has A LOT to do with their religious upbringing. And maybe how it affected Link's choices. Stevie's laughter is so out of place sometimes. Rhett does not laugh and tries to rush this moment. Rhett's answer about Link killing him is not exactly weird or offensive or mean as I saw some people consider it. It shows, maybe subconsiously, several things; Link's intensity, Rhett's pliable nature especially to Link and it might be more indicative of how Rhett feels about Link than anything else, at least in this video.

And then, out of nowhere, or maybe so it seems to us, Rhett goes ballistic against everyone. He starts complaining about those complaining when they didn't give each other heartfelt compliments. Link joked he agrees with them. Rhett attempted to let this slip although it angered him. The crew laughed with Link's joke, meaning they kinda sided with him, and Rhett turned basically mad at Link.

He accused Link that he did the same that day and Link entirely deflected the conversation. All I'm gonna say is that don't think they don't communicate with each other about how they approach certain situations. I wonder if at times they misunderstand each other or one changes opinion suddenly and leaves the other hanging. Link tries to stop Rhett from going on but Rhett is unstoppable at this point.

You might say Rhett was straight out mean right there and I sure was like "whoa where did this all come from, man" but mean is not a reasonable explanation. He was angry and his words show he is in a pressured state. Unless you tend to have mood swings, which Rhett doesn't really have as far as I know, you don't go from all cutesy and mischievous to furious in milliseconds. Except if there is an underlying suppressed cause. And you may ask, okay does he feel pressured to say a compliment to Link? Is this such a big deal? Well, yes and no. I don't think Rhett meant "we're not gonna hold hands" or "compliment each other" when we ask it. I think we know what he means. I think he's talking about the - well, in his words - elephant in the room. The actually serious consideration that there is something more there. The expectation that it might get revealed at any point - whether intentionally or unintentionally. Rhett loses control at that moment, which is why Link, who knows him well, warns him to not go there but Rhett still does. And again, you might say: well, no fan asked them to kiss or to confirm anything! We asked them simple stuff that can be normal between platonic friends too. Yes, but there is something we don't take often into account. The mythical crew. The mythical crew are actually the ones who monitor closely what the fans believe, want and prefer to watch. This means that the crew has to inform and discuss with Rhett and Link how much they are gonna please the audience and in what ways. Which means that a crew of 50+ people have an elaborate opinion on what fans think of Rhett and Link's relationship (next to their own opinion of course) and this has to be communicated with them face to face. In short, Rhett and Link have their privacy invaded not only by the fans but by their employees and, moreover, they are forced to always have fun with it and take it lightly. Again, you could think: well, they could forbid any rhink reference to the crew from now on. And you would think this WOULDN'T make the crew MORE suspicious at this point? All I am saying, they are fine when they make rhink insinuations / jokes voluntarily but most of the time is forced upon them by both the fans and employees and this can be uncomfortable at best if they are just friends or tyrannical if there is something more there that they still keep for themselves. So, Rhett's frustration comes from a deeper place than being expected to give a compliment. If I were in their place as I imagine it (I could always be entirely wrong) I would feel like a muppet trying to balance all my reactions towards thousands of people, with several dozens of them being paid by me to scrutinize me and order me how exactly to act!

There is a cut following Rhett's vent and you can see that Rhett is trying to calm himself down.

He speaks to himself, mumbling "yeah alright yeah ok ok" and by the expressions I can tell he acknowledges he lost control. That doesn't mean he regretted what he said - just that he said more than it benefits him to say and apparently he said a lot more in the unedited video. Kudos then to Link, who actively tries to calm his friend down and make him feel more comfortable.

This might be unpleasant to some but from his stance I conclude that Link agrees with Rhett or at least understands him. He was just wise enough to not say it out loud. Link first warned Rhett to not speak and then stayed quiet as Rhett was venting. After the cut, we see him trying to help Rhett calm down and relax and he characteristically invites Rhett to focus his attention on him and find something he really loves about him. This is not a complaint - Link is smiling and is warm to Rhett. What he essentially does is trying to help Rhett forget he is being watched by thousands and his every word is weighted, which of course is Rhett's main problem. He just says "forget about them and focus on me and just say something you love, it's all good". I just love Link here. He's supportive and caring.

The next question is what Link loves when Rhett blanks his blank and Rhett is trying to picture it-

I have no doubt Link loves that. The ear thumbing, I mean.

But not to be that person, it's obvious that Rhett plays it up a ridiculous lot. And not even to appease the angry fans but probably to make fun of their anger. That's why Link laughs with his face and his answer "I love remembering the time we met".

This doesn't interest me at all. Instead, I am much more interested in Link's nonsensical answer "I love remembering the time we died" because what?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Link tends to say occasionally stuff that doesn't make sense but I don't think he would pass on the chance to say something even remotely meaningful in an opportunity like this and especially regarding his relationship with Rhett. Link clarifies: "...when we died. This is heaven". There are two possibilities and only two: a) this makes ZERO sense and it's the worst and most pointless joke ever and b) this is symbolic or something only Rhett could understand. Rhett does not dismiss this as stupid or silly with his usual done look. He asks questions about it and they discuss at length about how it happened that they died and why they went to heaven since it seems they killed each other. Well, it's because they killed each other in the exact same time with a prod-like tool and they escaped Good Ol' God's (in Link's words) notice. Okay. I'm just leaving this here and you can all draw your own conclusions. Personally, I am torn between a symbolical death and rebirth when they left their religious selves behind and death being used as a well known old metaphor of a certain physical state. It would work even more if it was both. Or Link was just talking nonsense. Let's not exclude that. So yeah. That's all I had to say................

At the beginning of S19 you could tell they were using the same formula as Greys for example but not only; the voice over style changing according to which character was the protagonist of the episode or at least who had the most challenging “storyline” and psychological impact in the story, the main lead was clearly Andy with her supporting BFF, with their own struggles and friendships, backstory, and they way the story developed, inserting personal “quest” into the daily firefighter “case”, it was simple writing but it was fluid, it worked.

Now if you ask anybody to point to which is the main lead of the show I think many ppl wouldn’t be able to, and if you think in terms of storyline who has the most predominant one, it’s Sullivan, so we could almost say he’s the main lead of a show and that’s crazy!

It’s like if after 4 season of Greys the main lead would have become Alex Karev, lol no thank you!

The other characters have sideline stories that maybe take center in 1 episode and then it’s like everything is forgotten and the writers are like: “wait we forgot about them” and they go an add a random scene that make zero sense especially for Carina & Tremmet, their stories are so disconnected and we kinda have to guess wtf is going on, the on screen scenes they give us do not helps to fill the gaps on what happens not on screen.

We only see glimpses of the old characters and friendships, whatever the problem is the budget or bts drama, writers of this level should be able to create a more compelling and organic story, alas they can’t.

Of course we all would want to see different things, and to just say “the writing sucks,this would be better” it’s a be simplistic and not fair, I get it, but when everyone can see the problems, it’s beyond repair imo.

In this case I would say 50% of the problems are writings choices, 15% acting choices especially Grey and every scene he’s in, I notice in the scene with Jaina he’s not so flamboyant, I think it may be a involuntary change of acting when he’s around actresses of the level of Stefania, Barrett and Danielle, that are very physical in terms of acting emotions. I’m using the wrong wording here but it’s like he’s trying to compensate his lack of acting talent by emulating their emotional and physical acting style, without success, so by all means, let him act around Janina cause somehow it works better for him and I always though they kinda match each other and they had good chemistry!!The rest I would say is 20% budget cut and 15% bts drama.

Certain things you cannot fix in writing, I get it, but this is ridiculous, I’m at a point I almost have to force myself to watch S19 especially when it’s about certain characters.

Anyway I’m not saying that I could write or do any better, especially not knowing all the facts, but JFC they really lowering the bar with each episodes here…

I get what you're saying and it's definitely true! Though I just have to say I love and miss Alex Karev lol I think I'd rather him be the main than Meredith at this point :P

But yeah, I think everyone has noticed that once Season 3 started and Krista took over and things shifted more towards an ensemble instead of Andy being a lead, the whole way of story telling and everything changed. But I think some of it was for the better and had potential to be better but like you said they don't really execute it properly and they seem to focus on one person at a time and then a lot of times people are just in the background and forgotten about.

It does feel like Sullivan is the main of the show right now which is...ew. But that's probably also because Andy is at another station at the moment. But it also felt like in Season 3, Maya took priority with her being captain and then her whole dad abusive storyline and then in Season 4...I don't really know if there was a specific main? I felt like it was balanced for the most part, which was weird because considering it was a covid season, it just seemed way more thought out and done better than this season is. So I guess they seem to be taking turns in a way on who they give the focus too...which I guess is how it would be in an ensemble but they can't just be forgetting about characters & storylines along the way.

They aren't good at the whole balance thing, they've been able to do it like in a few episodes every now and then, but that's it. So then it makes it hard for all the episodes to connect together and it's almost like they're all stand alone episode especially when they each end up focusing on different things instead of continuing along with a storyline so it's just a mess. And yes, some actors do work better with others and it's pretty obvious this season more than in previous seasons. I agree about Jaina & Grey for sure while others can pretty much make it work with anyone (Danielle, Stefania, Boris, Barrett, even Jay)
