People have said that high school sweethearts would not make it past high school, and some of them were right. But you and Schlatt were the exception. Hah, suck on that, other ex high school sweethearts.

The two of you met during your sophomore year, having shared the same History class. Schlatt sat in the row behind you and occasionally, the two of you would exchange glances and go on with your day, because high schoolers are awkward like that. You started seeing him more when one of your friends started dating one of his friends, causing you to get to know him through mutual friends.

And eventually, the two of you got closer. A lot closer. You sat on the bleachers at his baseball games, stayed up late with him while he edited his videos, and was his date to prom. That night under the poorly decorated stars in the gym while the DJ played the weirdest tracks you’ve ever heard was one of your core memories. And then the two of you started dating and no one was surprised. You two made it way too obvious how much you liked each other.

When Schlatt started doing Youtube full time, you said that you wanted to be kept out of the spotlight and he agreed with you. He kept his real life and online life separate- only letting the closest friends know that he was dating someone. Of course, those same close friends were invited to the small ‘friends and family only’ wedding you two had a few years later. Another core memory that he has framed and placed on his setup that’s out of view from the camera.

Schlatt went on hiatus when you were pregnant with your daughter. He had scheduled his already made videos to upload at a certain time and was completely offline from the internet after that, being by your side 24/7. The hiatus continued on for a few months after your daughter was born and then the internet started speculating where he disappeared to, because this was far from his usual sparse uploads.

Your late night talks had delved into how to continue streaming without revealing you and the baby. And you decided to fill his viewers in on your existence. He was definitely shocked, but ultimately it’s your decision and that was final.

“Schlatt, who’s with you today?” Ted asked on the latest Chuckle Sandwich episode, waving at you through the camera. “Audio listeners - love you to death - Schlatt has a woman with him.” Of course, Ted knew who you were- having been invited to your small wedding years prior. He was just playing it up for the camera.

You waved back at Ted, smiling as Schlatt grabbed his mic and talked into it. “My wife.”

“Your wife?” Tucker asked incredulously and Schlatt nodded, smiling widely as he pulled you into his side. “My wife! Say hi, toots.”

“Hi, Ted, Tucker.” You beamed, feeling anxiety and excitement mix into one intense feeling. You heard the baby monitor suddenly crackle to life with a loud cry, and you sighed softly, removing your headphones and began to get up when Schlatt stopped you, getting up himself. “I’ll get her. You sit tight, babe.” He whispered to you and made a hand motion to the camera to continue the session without him. You slid the headphones back on, keeping one ear open to listen to what was happening on the monitor.

The three of you continued on making random conversations about all sorts of stuff until Schlatt came back. He kissed you on the top of your head and sat back down beside you.

“How is she?” You asked, looking at him.

“She’s good, just needed a bottle.”

“Ah, okay.”

That small conversation between the two of you was left unedited and Twitter was on fire when the episode came out, because not only was he married, he also had a baby! The two of you were trending for a good while, and you are well loved by his viewers.

You were so glad the two of you gave it a chance back in high school, and you couldn’t think of anyone else to share this life with. Schlatt was your soulmate and you were his.

Another disgustingly cramped alleyway in Madripoor.

“You shouldn’t be here”, he says slowing down, the most isolated place he could find. He doesn’t want to risk his recruitment plan, but being followed by an ex-Widow puts him in the same predicament.

“Could say the same”, she had been tailing the Captain for a while, but with the acknowledgment she doesn’t bother to keep up the distance.

“Whatever you and Bucky’s group have to discuss with me can and will wait”, picking up the pace to end the discussion.

Yelena stops walking, the weight on her shoulders getting heavier at his name. The team had completely stopped saying it by now. 

In the most fragile voice Sam has heard come from her. 

“I wouldn’t know what he wants to talk about because I don’t know where he is”, her voice cracks at the end of the sentence.

One of the most skillfully trained assassins from the age six. The most sarcastic and witty woman Sam has met, is so scared and overwhelmed…she cannot hide that from him.

Sam can no longer hear the violent noise of madripoor, freezes up completely, his heart the only part of him moving, but it feels like that also stills.

“Yelena. Explain.” He turns to face her, body tight, cannot afford to start shaking. 

Her eyes are vulnerable, blurred by tears, unshed, her mouth downturn. 

“I don’t know. Someone took him…I-I don’t think we can get him back, Sam”, she lowers her head, letting the tears directly fall on the pavement. 

He walks over to her, hands on her shoulders. He dedicates his strength to one man, it always had been. 

“Tell me what you know.” Her back straightens, head lifts, drives her emotions as far as she can. She was given an order, ‘status report’, that she knows how to do. 

“It happened near midnight, we were in the tower. He and I had just come back, the team was waiting to debrief with us. It- it happened too quickly, I told Bob to find the file, Ava was near the bar, John was with h-her—”, she starting flubbing her words, speaking too fast. 

She is grateful for the work she’s done to shed the Red Room, but it would still be useful in these moments. 

“Breathe. Focus. Where was he?”, looking directly at her. 

He knew his voice cracked. He also knew saying his name…was not something he could do right now. 

“He likes to stare out the window when we finish a mission, he says it helps him remember better. I think it grounds him… I looked over, and then this rift of energy opened infront of him, it sent waves through the whole compound. It knocked me back— and he was gone.”

She couldn’t reach him, go with him. The same helplessness from Natasha came back to her with a vengence. 

“Have you seen Strange’s portals? Did it look like that?”, Captain America, officially on a mission.

“No— Sam this was different. I’ve never seen anything like it. All I could see was green and then his empty spot”, every moment of respite shes had, she revisited those last seconds, trying to think of something that could help.

“Fuck. Okay- We…we can figure this out. I’ll call Shuri. I read on Wanda’s file that S.W.O.R.D tracked Vision’s vibranium. If they can do it, I’m sure—”, he looked away, eyes scanning the world around him. 

He was formulating plan’s A through Infinity, because the last time they spoke was in anger, and that is not who they were.

“Sam…”, she had gone through every thought he was. They didn’t matter and she knew that. 

Now, it was her responsibility to break that to the only person she knew loved him more than her, than the team. 

Who had barely heard he was in danger and stepped up to the mission. 

That had also been her reaction, soon to be 24 hours ago, and she’s tired, only willing to partly  fall apart because it was someone who understood what she was going through, leader of his own team. 

Maybe they loved him the same amount… just differently. 

As evenly as possible she started, “We can’t track him��”.

“We’ll find him a different way!”, that never give up Captain America, attitude, but she needed to talk to the man behind the title right now. 

The one person who would be willing to scream at her, hold her accountable for not protecting him. 

It wouldn't happen, Sam is a good man. He could scream at her over copyright, never over something like this. 

It was her turn to be strong now. Her moment of weakness needed to be over, she was the only one who truly knew how fucked they were. Every second they weren’t on the same page meant lowering the chances of finding him, alive or…ever. 

 “I need you to listen. Valentina had access to some confiscated Stark tech. We analysed the energy output left behind by the rift—”, she was trying to catch his eye to get him to listen. 

“Did it take him interplanetary?”, he could talk to Quill and beg him to contact the Guardians or any intergalactic ally they had. 

“SAM!”,she had planned to be more tactful, sometimes you need to adapt, “He doesn’t exist anymore!”, slapping him with the gravity of the situation.

At least got him to look her in the eyes. 

They watered, stinging him, tears reflecting their memories.

Your life flashes before you die doesn’t it?

Sam’s overthinking brain was assuming, he was aware, and it was a possibility he would not consider, even if his body did for a second. 

“...What do you mean?”, he whispered. 

“Someone out there, whoever opened the rift has enough power that the radiation they emit can be traced to The Big Bang, just not…ours. They are using the equivalent of entire universes worth of power—” 

“To the point…please”, begging for a clear answer. 

She took a deep breath. 

“He doesn’t exist in this timeline anymore. They were able to rip him right out. And we have no clue why they would want to”, defeat in her voice. 

Sam wobbled on his feet. 

The same sensation from Riley’s fall, except this time, he was on the ground. 

There was a moment of silence between them. 

Finally understanding one another. 

Sam wouldn’t have imagined being on ‘neutral’ terms with Yelena, five minutes ago. Quite literally being in Madripoor to recruit for his team. 

But now he is shaking, crying in front of her, accepting her embrace, and hugging her increadibly tight. 

If he didn't he would float away. 

The centre of his universe, the gravity that made sure his wings would always bring him back down is gone. 

The last words he said to him reverberated in his brain, making him more unsteady. 

They should have been “I love you’s”, because no matter how angry they were with each other, they were going to make their way back together. 

Sarah compared them to magnets. You could try your hardest hold them apart, but as soon as your hands falter or tire, they come back together. 

They were both waiting their time out, before they came back together. Waiting off the anger. Waiting for it to turn into longing so they could work things out. 

Whatever took him away. They were wise enough to escape to somewhere in the multiverse. 

It knew Sam would destroy his universe to find Bucky. 

He pulled away from her, “Joaquin is right outside the city, you can go to him now, tell him to call Banner. I’ll be a few minutes, lord knows we need as many people as possible and I came here for someone”, he said as he wiped his tears. 

Yelena was a little worried and impressed at how quickly he seemed to be gathering himself. 

“Then we are headed to Louisiana to talk to Danvers. How stable is Bob? Capable of becoming the Sentry?”, he was spewing every thought coming through. 

“No, but I’m sure he can help. So can the rest of the team we are all willing to do anything to get him back”, she had left them contacting anyone they could, ‘many worlds’ theorists, the sorcerer supreme, truly anyone of use. 

She knew Sam could gather the bigger team they needed to fight whoever had taken Bucky, but she also knew they needed a way to get them to him. 

There was a chance they would never make it or if they did it would be too late. 

But both of these people need Bucky in their lives. 

Yelena was the leader of their found family but she was completely new, always relying on Bucky’s veteran experience. He was the one keeping them together. 

Sam always talked to Bucky about his doubts, the pressures. They are each others anchors to the present and their futures. 

Yelena wanted to bother Bucky by calling him old and grumpy, wanted to be in the tower, bickering with her family as they filed boring paperwork. 

Sam wanted to be back in Delacroix, hearing his nephews call Bucky ‘Uncle’, watch him bake with his sister. 

But they are in the disgusting streets of Madripoor, in a claustrophobic alley way. 

Without Bucky. 

All they could do now, was rectify that.

Who is the Ghoul?: Hunter the Parenting

So Recently I've really been getting into Hunter the Parenting and I can't get this thought of my head, So this is going to be a blatant indulgence in fandom speculation.

For those that don't know, Hunter the Parenting is a web series set in White Wolf's "World of Darkness" universe, following a family of hunters who are trying to take down a vampire cabal. One of the cast is secretly a ghoul, a blood slave to a vampire, and the last episode ended in a cliff hanger. so I'm going to predict who I think the Ghoul is based on the aviable information. Hopefully the next episode will be out very soon and we can see if I'm right or not.

I predict that the Ghoul is....Grimal.

So I have three arguments for Grimal being the Ghoul, Narrative, Deductive and Meta

First lets talk about the Narrative logic of a betryal story. What makes a Ghoul narrative interesting and compelling is the fact that a close friend can be forced to betray you due to how addictive Vampire blood is. Someobdy you cared about and trusted Turned against you, possibly against their own will. That narrative is only impactful if its a character we and the protagonists like and care about. If the traitor turns out to be Brock, Blacklaw, Git or Spit then the narrative is "person we already don't like turns out to be a vampire spy, fuck them", its not very impactful. If its the doctor or the help its "character we barely know and just met turns out to be the traitor". For the narrative to have a punch, the traitor needs to be somebody who the audience can feel betrayed by, which means we have to actually like them. That leaves Grimal, Harry and Elise, all of whom were set up prior to the last episode. Of the three, Grimal has by far the most characterization, she has the most lines of dialoge, she has the most dynamic personality, and is given the closest relationships to the main cast, as Marcus best friend and Kitten's ex. While Elise is Reserved and Harry is bland, Gimal is is the most exciting and is a major fan favorite, meaning the betrayal would actually be upsetting.

Now on its own, this wouldn't be enough evidence, but lets look at the evidence. Of the suspects, the Ghoul is almost certianly not Blacklaw or Doctor Waters because they already have archive access, which means they would have already stolen the necessary data prior to the groups arrival. The Ghoul is somebody who must be trying to get archive access, which means Security, the Help, or the lesser members. Of whom, Grimal is the only one who has a significent period of time where she is unaccounted for, after Kitten runs off she is (according to the map) in the security room for some reason, and then isn't seen again until after Occams assault.

What is she doing in the security room?

Harry meanwhile is with Marcus the whole time, so he is in the clear, which lease Elise. Who I think is innocent because of when everybody is splititng up (15:55) she voices opposition too it, but quiently enough that only she can hear it. This implies it isn't just something said for show but is guinely felt, and if she was the ghoul, she would be encouraging the discord not trying to hamper it.

There is also the matter of Grimal's body language. At 5:20,5:42, 7:21, 10:22, 10:37, 11:07, 12:24, 13:19, 13:50, and 27:15 Grimal looks super nervous and guilty (espically at 10:22) . This isn't unique to her, but she is the most animated, which I think is a way of subtly hiting as to her guilty nature. Remember animation is hard and time consuming and they are really making sure we see Grimals expressions very distinctly. Not enough to be evidence on its own, but combined with the rest of the evidence I think it is foreshadowing. Grimal also stays super silent whenever characters are discussing who might be a ghoul, which is unusual considering how talkative she is.

Finally from a Meta Perspective, Grimal is the perfect character to be the Ghoul because she doesn't have any ongoing plot threads. Where Harry and Elise are still a bit mystery character wise, but Grimal is probably the most established character outside the protagonists, and thus her being the GHoul is the most upsetting. She also has less use in the future because her major is useless. Harry studies local folklore and Elise studies Fae, both of whom are likely to reappear in the series, buty Grimal studies Kuei-jin, which the series treats as a joke. Grimal is also a fan favorite, making her betrayal the most dramatic of the characters.

So lets talk about some of the other suspects. Spit is the obvious one, as he is acting super sus throughout the entire episode. I think however that Spit is a red Herring, and what ever happened to Lord Fatigue was unrelated to the ghoul. Spit makes reference to his head hurting and some event he didn't want to talk about, I think that he is actually a werewolf and his plotline is entirely unrelated to the situation with the GHoul. Otherwise he is too obviously suspect. Also his issues aren't really Ghoul addiction.

The third suspect I think is Giles, who we know is directly working for a vampire. he lacks the narrative and meta reasons, but if he is the Ghoul, than the ghoul story line is less about a dynamic twist and more about giving the protagonists a way to connect the vampires to the 99 P store.

One last point which I don't think is major evidence but I'll bring it up anyways, Blacklaws stupid Polymath/car battery. According to Brock, the machine shocks you until you tell the truth, and while this is likely just them being idiots, it did seem to work for Grimal when she insulted Brock's face. So its possible that there is something to there stupid machine and it actually does work

You were walking down the corridor headed from the Bridge to your quarters, engaged in a tense digital conversation that was making you angrier and angrier. Your ex was trying to blame you for the relationship failure and you were not having it.

“Oh, FUCK YOU!” you proclaimed loudly, after he’d called you a whore again. You slammed the block button. A throat cleared nearby and the blood drained from your face as you saw you’d stopped right in the path of the Captain.

“I’m gonna assume that wasn’t aimed at me.” he said, looking at you steadily.

You wanted to drop through the floor, but you were frozen in place by the reality that he’d just said your words.

“No, sir,” you finally confirmed. “My ex. He’s slime. I apologize for the bad language, but I don’t take well to being called a whore.”

“Of course not,” the Captain agreed with a frown. “Does he work with you?”

“Unfortunately, yes,” you groaned. “I should have never said yes to that first date. He’s unmarked and I’m marked, but I was lonely and desperate. I kind of gave up on my soulmate, which was really stupid.”

Captain Kirk just kept looking at you, then a smile crossed his very handsome face and he suddenly shoved his sleeve up to reveal “FUCK YOU!” written in your writing on his arm.

“Oh, gosh,” you covered your face with your hand and shook with mortified laughter, grabbing the wall to keep yourself steady..

“I’m so sorry, Captain. That was quite the mark to leave on you.”

You pulled at your collar to show your own words that marched across your collarbone.

“It certainly made for some interesting speculation,” the Captain agreed with a good humored grin. “Pleased to meet you, Soulmate. Jim Kirk.”

Your hand was engulfed in his large one and you felt your face grow warm again as you returned the handshake.

“Lieutenant Y/N Y/L/N, Sir. What a way to make an impression, huh?”

Jim laughed. You were so relieved he had a good sense of humor about this. He was known for being a very fair Captain, but you wouldn’t have blamed him if he’d given you a verbal warning for that outburst.

“It’ll be a good story to tell,” he declared. “But first off, I want to make sure this ex of yours won’t be a problem anymore. How long has he been harassing you?”

“Since we broke up last week,” you admitted. “I ended things because I knew we weren’t right, but he thought it was because I was cheating. If he finds out I met my soulmate, he might feel he was justified.

Jim frowned. “Sounds like a long term stint on Gamma shift is in his future. I’ll keep the Soulmates thing under wraps for now, but he is going to be investigated. I won’t put up with that kind of behavior.”

“Thank you, Captain,” you said gratefully. “I’ve got plenty of receipts for evidence.” You waved your PADD.

“Good. Hang on to them,” Jim told you and then his tone softened. “I really look forward to getting to know you, Y/N. Not gonna let some asshole ruin this. We waited a long time.”

“We sure did,” you agreed. “I can’t wait to find out what the real Jim Kirk is like. I’ve heard mixed reviews.”

“Depends on who you ask,” Jim said with a twinkle in his blue eyes. “I can be a bit of an acquired taste.”

You chuckled. “Me too.”

Jim was as good as his word. Your ex, after languishing on Gamma shift for a few months, ended up transferring to another ship and never bothered you again after that day.

You found that your soulmate was a very good human and a lot of fun to be with. His friends revelled in hearing you recount the story of how you met and provided loving teasing.

“The stories didn’t really do this justice,” you admitted after Jim kissed you for the first time. “Holy crap.” You leaned against him as you caught your breath, mind blown by his skills.

“Good,” he breathed happily. “Only the best for my soulmate.”

okay so I was thinking about when the player first meets Gale, he immediately clocks them as coming from the nautiloid even though A) we never see him anywhere on the nautiloid, and B) we don't psychically link with him via the tadpoles during his introduction.

this has been plaguing my brain because it leaves two options. either 1) Gale correctly deduces the player was on the nautiloid just because why else would they be out there in the wreckage, or 2) he encountered the player sometime before they pulled him out of the broken sigil but didn't/couldn't approach them for one reason or another.

so this is my roundabout way to ask if you have any headcanons and/or theories of why Gale recognizes the player right from the jump. I'm inclined to think that he saw the player on the ship some point before it starts to crash, because when he brings it up, he starts with "I know you, don't I?" which, to me, makes it seem like he recognized them rather than made an assumption about them. but I would love to hear your thoughts about it!

i also do find it very, very interesting that both in early access and in full release, gale recognises the player right away.

this is his intro after he appears from the netherese teleportation rune from early access:

Glad to see my eyes deceived me. I’m Gale. Well met! Player (Option 1): Well met. You were on the ship as well, I presume? Gale: The very same. A traumatising experience – if an instructive one.

and his intro from full release is, as you've already mentioned:

Gale: Say, but I know you, don't I? In a manner of speaking. You were on the nautiloid as well. Player: I was, yes. Gale: Then I can only assume you too were on the receiving end of a rather unwelcome insertion in the ocular region.

i do think, with the way both introductions are worded, that it's extremely likely that gale did see the player on the ship.

now where we can speculate is where and how that may have taken place.

the early access dialogue implies that the protag was not in a pod when gale saw them, despite them waking up in one when the game begins, just as in the full release version.

we do know that captured victims are immediately placed inside a pod when they're captured from the trailer/intro cinematic:

which makes it likely that gale saw the protag while having been taken out of the pod and maybe guarded by intellect devourers, or perhaps transported somewhere, or even after an escape attempt they do not remember.

as for gale himself, we do know that wizards are able to manipulate the pods themselves to open them with a successful dice roll:

we also do know that gale is master of his craft as a prodigy, ex-chosen, archwizard, scholar and researcher, and graduate of blackstaff academy. it doesn't seem unlikely to me that he may have found a way to break out of his own pod to try and escape what would surely otherwise be a death sentence for him and others for multiple reasons.

i do think gale's wording again makes it sound as if though he'd already escaped the pod in which he was likely trapped in, too:

Player: Never mind the nautiloid. How did you get stuck in that stone? Gale: I don't know what transpired exactly, but the ship broke into pieces and I suddenly found myself in freefall. Gale: As I was plummeting to certain death, I spied a glimmer quite near where I estimated my body to impact with less-than-savoury propulsion. Gale: Recognising this glimmer to be magical in nature, I reached out to it with a Weaving of words and found myself on the other side as it were. Gale: How about you? How did you survive the fall? Player: To be honest, I haven't a clue. Gale: Fair enough. But even so, I have the unfortunate suspicion your survival is still very much in jeopardy.

as for the mind link (which can happen later at camp), i do think it's also important to keep in mind that just because the player doesn't feel the mind link or connection or even so much as a tickle of the tadpole, it's not unlikely that gale can feel it from his side. his mental defences are high enough so that the player can't sense the tadpole, but i don't think that is necessarily the same for gale.

so, all in all, i do think, considering everything we know, the most likely scenario here is that gale saw the protag - perhaps even while trying to orient himself / try to find a way out - on the ship and that the player does not remember him for whatever reason - and given the circumstances here, those reasons could be plentiful (unconsciousness, disorientation, dazedness like the woman we found trapped in a pod adjacent to the room we find shadowheart in, etc.).

Hi welcome back! Sorry for not posting motivation kinda shit and creativity lost right now anyway.

Yes I will be reveling more lore and the stories of the Beast Lovers and the Beasts soon especially a certain plot point but...it's a special one I won't say right now😏 and im just waiting for Eternal Sugar Cookie and Silent Salt Cookie to realse so yeah it might take a bit but I will show more lore.

This is a Complicated thing to think about but this is something you guys will have to think or Speculate about for now.

The fate or actions of the characters decide their relationships...

The Beast's servants the Lovers old friends or families and maybe the witches.

Both...when it first came to when the Beast met their lovers it was private relationships but at one point the Beasts didn't care anymore and married their lovers and many were aware but also weren't.

Yes I am the only problem is I don't know how I'm going to tell the story either through drawings text fics or comics and I have many many things I want to share since this is going to be a storyline after all but I'm also afraid my story might come of as cringe or bad writing but in other words I want to have a storyline some wholesome things and some shitpost time to time.

Talking about the potential in Lucifer and Alastor dynamic, but it would be interesting if their relationship ended up being the opposite of the relationship Alastor and Vox have going. We know Vox and Alastor used to be good friends but are now enemies, Alastor and Lucifer could go from enemies to good friends (in general I wanna see Alastor have more interactions with male characters, ex: Angel Dust, to see how the show is gonna handle his distrust of men and if he is ever gonna get over it at some point in the show).

Honestly this is one of the reasons I'm so excited to see their dynamic develop. I think I've said it before but Alastor very clearly doesn't trust men (with the exception of Husk; if he didn’t at least trust Husk’s judgement he wouldn’t have told Mimzy to leave I think), and if Lucifer could gain his trust and show Alastor that not everyone is going to hurt him? 10/10, Vivziepop PLEASE

I think it'd be good for Lucifer too. Lucifer views Alastor (and almost every other sinner) as a "violent psychopath hellbent on causing as much pain and destruction" as possible. Lucifer is basically in the same position as every single fan who sees Alastor's morality as black and white and says Alastor's evil. Lucifer doesn't know there's a pattern to Alastor's attacks (that being, he only attacks when provoked and he doesn't attack innocent people). Lucifer doesn't know Alastor's past. All Lucifer knows about Alastor is what he saw in Dad Beat Dad, which was:

Alastor getting under his skin for not actively being Charlie's dad, and I think Lucifer knew Alastor's goal was basically "purposely get under his skin for the lolz" (this would additionally probably clue Lucifer into the fact that Alastor is manipulating Charlie)

Alastor being a cannibal, which he would've easily been able to surmise from Alastor not just attacking the loan sharks, but also eating them

Alastor just overall being a fucking jackass

Lucifer doesn't know why Alastor is the way he is (and we don't either, although I find speculating on it fun). We don't know if Lucifer knew Alastor fought Adam (although there's a non-zero chance he would've heard about it from someone). Lucifer only knows Alastor at a surface level, which is the case with every other sinner that exists.

Even if Alastor and Lucifer don't become best friends, if they become friends in any capacity, it'd be good for both of them. Alastor would realize not everyone's going to hurt him, and Lucifer would realize that each sinner has their own story, whether he thinks it justifies how they act in Hell or not. Hell, if Alastor was canonically abused by his dad and that did contribute to him being a serial killer, I can honestly see Lucifer feeling bad for his first impression of Alastor being "bloodthirsty psychopath" because he's like that for a reason.

If Lucifer can learn that even the worst of the worst might not be as shitty as he thinks, I think it'll help him a lot. If Alastor can realize that not everyone wants to hurt him, that'll help Alastor a lot.

Honestly considering how their first meeting went and the fact that Lucifer still seems to hate Alastor as of the end of The Show Must Go On, I'd be surprised if Lucifer and Alastor aren't instrumental to each other's development. Obviously, Lucifer being at the hotel in general is going to be crucial to his development as a character, but I genuinely think Alastor and Lucifer are going to be incredibly crucial to each other's development. Lucifer met Pentious and Angel when they'd already gone through some level of character development, Lucifer is going to actually be there for whatever character development Alastor goes through, and I think Lucifer being there to witness someone like Alastor improve to any extent is going to be super important for his development.

when will you address lor ex pause screen description

I kinda already have? Part of it, anyways. Though I suppose not in a direct “this is the pause screen description and this is how I’m gonna interpret it based on my own headcanons and such” way.

For those who don’t know what it says: “Lor sensed something was amiss when it met Magolor. It can travel to far-off paradises with ease… so why didn’t it? Perhaps it hid its true power, wanting to be stopped after stealing the crown…”

The way it’s written… Imo doesn’t really make sense. The way it’s phrased implies Lor stole the crown even though we know that isn’t what happened. We also see Lor use her dimensional travel abilities on two occasions prior to Magolor fucking around and finding out stealing the Master Crown, which definitely doesn’t seem like hiding that power to me.

The way I interpret this description is that it both isn’t chronological and is meant to be read as partly speculative, just like the classic “ooooh is Lor sentient or not? who knooows” stuff that even gets reflected in her other description.

If you’ve read the fic or even just some of my headcanons regarding the early days of Magolor and Lor knowing each other, you’d know she was absolutely suspicious of him when they first met— after the events of RtD, because she wasn’t conscious until the time of the ending cutscene when she helps everyone escape the void. Some guy she’s never met in her entire life shows up in a horrific state, knows a bunch of stuff about her despite being from a wildly different time period, doesn’t want to elaborate on what the hell happened to him or how he knows what he knows, and can’t even explain how he somehow ended up in her interior of all places when it’s supposed to be a pocket dimension inaccessible except through the designated entrance? Of course she’d be suspicious. Frankly, it’d be harder to do something that was more suspicious!

Lor can travel to far-off paradises… Hypothetically. There’s just one minor detail that gets left out of that statement because it kinda defeats the magical, hopeful vibe it was probably meant to give off: the first part of getting to paradise is confirming that paradise actually exists. Unfortunately there’s been no luck there so far. You can go as far as you want, travel through as many dimensions as you can find the boundaries of, but you’ll never reach a place that isn’t actually present in reality. If it does exist and has normal dimensional properties, the second part is figuring out the location. Once she has confirmation that a place exists and the place’s location, Lor has the capability to get there. It’s just that nobody has gotten either of those things yet.

Also, it’s kinda vaguely implied Lor continues to hang around Dreamland after everything goes down; besides the cutscene where she’s seen flying off through a portal to somewhere we don’t know(which I did explain in the fic but am happy to explain here as well if you want), we basically only ever see her(and Magolor) there during events that had to take place after RtD. Dream Collection challenge stages intro, Star Allies, that one storybook about Kirby eepy, etc. Maybe the real paradise was the friends we made along the way.

Lastly, Lor never had any direct contact with the Master Crown, but during his power trip, Magolor did use its power to control her. She’s somewhat aware of it, in that she knows there was some external influence acting on her prior to her actually being conscious, and said influence remotely activated her combat mode and used her to fight a group of eight(she knows who they are now but initially only recognized Landia). However, she doesn’t have any specifics as to how she was being controlled or what specific actions she actually took(or more accurately was used to take) during that period. Parts of the data is nonsensical nothing code, and the rest is outright corrupted and unreadable. Shockingly, it turns out that “the limitless power of the Master Crown” isn’t a valid programming language.

It’d be like reading code for a machine that’s supposed to be written in binary, except there are so many things in it that are not 0 or 1, ranging from other numbers to letters to fucking emojis, that you only know it’s supposed to be binary because the system itself should only be able to express things in binary. Like it should literally be impossible for it to display most of what’s being treated as “binary code”. And the scariest part is that this is code that the machine successfully operated on at one point when you weren’t there to see it, and also you are the machine. She could not recreate it if she tried and honestly wouldn’t want to. “>Oh, that’s gore. That’s gore of my programming” situation.

I’m not sure whose perspective the pause screen description in RtD(DX) are written from. I’ve always seen the more lore-y ones as omnipotent narrator moment(I.E. Master Crown one that explains what it really is, Metal General’s origins/background, etc) and the more speculative ones being from the perspectives of the main gang and/or Magolor. None of them knew(for certain) that Lor was sentient but unconscious through everything until a while later. For the gang, if the situation seemed like this seemingly inanimate spaceship just suddenly decided to finally help out right at the end, after everyone had worked their asses off fixing it and fought for their lives a few minutes ago, it’d be easy to ask “Hey why the fuck didn’t it just do that earlier and save us all the trouble?” For Magolor, ignoring that he wanted the Master Crown even before finding Lor… He’d also been operating with the information that Lor can just go to paradise any time, so of course he’d question why she didn’t. I can absolutely envision him at the start of Magolor Epilogue sulking in the rain thinking “Maybe I wouldn’t have stolen that crown in the first place if that stupid boat just did what the book said it could!”

Lor had a lot of explaining to do to clear things up after all that, and it wasn’t even her fault.

“Why did you fight us after we fixed you?” “>I was unconscious and had no say in fighting you.”

“Why didn’t you help us sooner?” “>I was unconscious up until the self-preservation programming kicked in and booted up my AI due to a lack of other options to keep me from crashing.”

“What are your pronouns?” “>I was unco- oh wait, finally a normal question. She/her thanks.”

A CRAZY THEORY BASED ON THE PREVIEW (OR NOTHING)

Yeah, I don't think predictions makes much sense now, but some viewers in the comments on YouTube (and also I) noticed a really strange thing in the preview for the last episode. Let's take a look.

Mhok is in the airport and see Day, probably two or three years later (I took this time information from a "novel" and it seems logical due to Day's graduation we see in the preview).

The last shot is already one of my favourite, Jimmy's acting (shock - hope - pain) and the angle, ugh!.. Well, let's talk about Day in this scene.

We see him on an escalator with a bag only and then walking freely... I believe he's a talented boy, but do you believe blind person can walk like this without a stick or a dog?.. I see sometimes visually impaired people in the metro and they're really good at navigating without any help, but they always have the stick! Actually Day also has one!

And that's how we're coming to the first part of the theory:

In this upcoming scene Day is not blind anymore.

Okay, we assume he can see and then the question is why he shows no interest in Mhok.

When I suddenly met my ex three years later after an extremely dramatic relationships and devastating break up, he stopped in the center of the metro station crowd and trust me we both looked more like Mhok, than like Day!

Some viewers think that Day just can't recognize Mhok, because they met each other after Day's vision had lowered to 20%. However we not only saw him looking at Mhok from that one palm distance, but also having photos of Mhok! Don't you think after a successful surgery Day must want to check out what a person he loved so much looks like?..

And that's how we're coming to the second part of the theory:

Day recognized Mhok, but pretends he didn't.

Yeah, I told you this theory is crazy! But listen... all previews, especially for the second part of the show, was playing with our emotions. And as we already know the episode 11 preview just showed us some moments from idk maybe the first ten minutes of the episode. I couldn't even imagine how much fluff and pain this episode actually brought us.

So no wonder this airport scene can be another moment of Day playing on Mhok's nerves (remember that beach scene with the book?) and P'Aof playing with our hearts.

That would be so f***ed up that I'm even ready to forgive them for giving Day his vision back haha

I've also read the novel ending and the series is definitely not gonna be the same, but will have some similarities. Maybe we'll see not only Day's graduation, but also his small bookstore and working process.

The most important part for me is not the circumstances of Day and Mhok's reunion, but the words about Day all that years looking for the kind of love Mhok gave him. I'm not ugly sobbing, you are.

P. S. Still processing episode 11 with a whole mountain of real life stories in my head. Trust me P'Aof is more realistic in storytelling than it seems. Some interesting things abt Babylonia’s politics + some theories

*clown voice* Hola amigos! So I am fucking insane and took some notes (and screenshots) while reading the New Divide extra story chapter and I think it has some very interesting insights into Babylonia’s government! So I will be sharing those in no particular order

Parliament

As we can see in this screenshot here, there are some logos that aren’t just the standard WG logo. I have no idea what the one on the right is supposed to be for (possibly their version of their Supreme Court or smth) but I think the logo with the C is for the Control Court and the one in the middle is just for Gestalt. There are other logos in other shots of this meeting room thingy but half of them are cut off and these three are the only ones that are consistent.

I imagine these are the parties maybe? Idk what kinda government structure Babylonia has but that’s my guess. Wonder what party Hassen is from then.

Collins’ and Kurono’s intentions

Throughout this story, Collins is shown wanting more power in Parliament. Interesting when you consider that an ex Kurono member, Nikola is basically the second in Command of Babylonia’s army. Makes me wonder if there was ever a point Nikola had the same goal and thus joined parliament, since Liszt, a member of Kurono, is in parliament as a member of the Control Court.

Anyways that kinda segways into the next bullet point

Nikola and Hassen’s relationship

Their partnership never fails to intrigue me. Because Nikola left Kurono and is actively working with Hassen against them. (for the most part) I wonder how they became partners? Because iirc Nikola is still with Kurono during the events of Lucia and Luna’s interlude, which is roughly uh… ten ish years before the story starts? I could go into a whole speculative timeline on what I think was Hassen’s ascent to becoming president but I’m not going to rn.

I just really wanna know how they met and how long they’ve known each other because they seem to trust each other. And they know each other pretty well as evidenced by Nikola remarking that Hassen is far more ruthless than him in I believe it was Last Spark?? Idk I have a screenshot somewhere. Anyways they’re literally married it’s just very interesting to me.

(Also I think it’s kinda cute their suits are like inversions of the other’s colours? Hassen’s suit is grey with a black tie and Nikola’s suit is black with a grey tie idk if that was intentional and/or I’m reading too far into this but they’re a cute little duo TO ME)

Nikola’s opposition against Kurono

I am absolutely living for Nikola’s beef with his old faction oh my god. This shit is so fucking funny to me. Like I think he should have let Karenina beat the shit out of Collins. I know that there might be some trauma involved seeing as Kurono is responsible for like half of this game’s problems that aren’t the Punishing Virus, but still.

Okay this was a little theory I came up with while I was reading through Roland’s little section of the story but how the fuck does Vonnegut know about the Lunar base and the Zero point reactor???? He has some explaining to do because I don’t think the general public knows about it.

This leads me to think that Vonnegut has some high ranking eyes up in Babylonia. Perhaps it’s a Kurono member. Idk. I just don’t fucking know how he knows abt the Lunar Base maybe I’ll re read that part but still I am confuzzled.

Kurono is actually so sussy I am appalled that more people in Parliament aren’t trying to shut them down. Like they’re an entirely different organization with a private military, secret experiments, and general shady dealing and no one bats a fucking eye???

The way they sort of have their own government and operate outside of Babylonia’s rules too??? This is bonkers does nobody get the memo that Kurono is up to something??? I have a war crime counter tally and Kurono’s counts of illegal experimentation are slowly piling up oh my god.

I hope Nikola rats out all of Kurono’s and I hope he gets to kill Collins bc I think he deserves it.

Lately, I've seen a lot of posts about Kuni being the Azure King. But something about this theory didn't sit right with me so I made some research online. Just so you know, I didn't read the novel, but I've read a lot of Tumblr posts about it.

So, first of all, let's see why people think our beloved Kuni is the Azure King.

Same Japanese va, Yoshimasa Hosoya

Both of them are idealists.

Same hair color (anime only)

Kuni was a teacher and it's known that the Azure King attended some elite education institution (said in the light novel)

And probably other reasons, but this are the ones I met.

I personally think these are ways to make Kunikida and The Azure King something like a parallel. Especially the thing with the same voice actor must be it.

In Beast, he also wears blue (according to Harukawa in an interview) because he's not traumatized by the Azure King incident. So he can't be the Azure King (In Beast, Odasaku is the one that caught him)

Then who is the Azure King?

My theory is that he's Takeo Arishima. He fits the high-quality education thing and he also had some ideals. But what truly makes me suspect him as the Azure King is the fact that one of his most well-known books A Certain Woman has the main character, Yōko Satsuki, based on Sasaki Nobuko.

In the anime/light novel, she is The Azure King's lover. But in the real life, she was Kunikida's ex-wife.

Takeo Arishima also committed suicide, like The Azure King did. Well, he didn't explode himself, but you get the idea.

But then we have another problem. This Takeo is a writer. Then the character must have an ability, right? Well, it's obviously based on A Certain Woman. But what does it do? That I don't know and can only speculate. But after reading the summary of the book, I think his ability is related to the fact that he wanted to get rid of the criminals (Light Yagami kinnie moment) like how Yōko wanted to get rid of people's expectations of her. So maybe his ability tells him who committed the worst crimes so he can get rid of 'em.

I also think it’s fuck naive not to see that they’re both mining this relationship for money and positive publicity. Diva and Halo talk about some supposedly new ex from supposedly 2024 who supposedly reached out to one of them with a pic that is  also supposedly proves they were a thing. Halo can't post the full pic to not doxx the girl but she posted a part of it that shows... well, Noah's hand. They also say they can't put an emoji on her face because it's close to Noah's. And that's the tea.

Here’s the wild thing though: the photo that was posted was completely blurry and edited, so you can’t even really see anything. Any identifiable markers are non-existent. Which makes sense considering they want to “protect the anon’s identity.” But why not show anything that could identify N at least? The person in the photo (that they claim is "N") has tattoos but they’re completely blurry and not legible.

Diva admitted she doesn’t even know if the person in that photo is even N because she didn’t see his face. So it was all speculation on a theory that the anon might have been with N. So it was a nothing burger yet again 🤦‍♀️ and when they got backlash for entertaining rumors about exes again, they fell back on the age old excuse of “I just post what’s sent to me/you guys asked for it.” Completely disregarding the fact that blog owners are responsible for what they post and can choose not to entertain those posts. The same old song and dance.

At the end of the day, it’s really not that big of a deal and I’m sure people will forget about it eventually and move on. It’s just frustrating that this continues to happen, especially when rumors like this are involved. The constant desire to know who N was with romantically or otherwise is how the problems with the alphabet girls started. It’s one thing to gossip, speculate, and joke about things as we all have been - but when it crosses the line to revealing information/photos about the band member’s personal life and who they are/were allegedly romantically with (regardless of whether someone sends it to you instead of you actively searching for it, or if you censor it in any way) it goes too far.

It's one thing to joke around and talk about who they might be dating. But it's another thing entirely to actually search for them or reveal information/photos about it. I shouldn't need to explain how that's different and how it's not okay. Words are just words, and speculation is just speculation - actually revealing information/photos is another thing entirely. The fact of the matter is, it's okay to be curious and wonder, but none of us have a right to that information. It’s so beyond intrusive.

Sorry for such a long post, it’s just so frustrating seeing this constantly happen. Imagine being N and having “fans” who continue to pry into your personal life and make things public that shouldn’t be (even if it turns out to not be real). He’s private for a reason. If he wanted this stuff to be public, he would share it himself.

My only argument is if an ex-gf or situationship wants to share the details of a relationship they were in, they are allowed to. Kanye West‘s latest series of controversial tweets made reference to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s infamous 2007 sex tape with Ray J.

“Told Ray J we need to hit Kim from both sides for that Superstar part two,” West, 47, wrote in a since-deleted tweet on Wednesday, April 9, per the Daily Mail. Kardashian and Ray J, both 44, called it quits after three years of dating in 2006, one year after which a video of them having sex during a Mexico vacation was obtained by Vivid Entertainment. Pulp Storytime #53: Do my BIDDING! Based on an adventure in Pulp Cthulhu by Mike Mason, Alan Bligh, James Lowder...

How much would you pay for a machine that broke reality? Hopefully, I can just hit the highlights without giving you a blow-by-blow. We started with Raymond “Jonesy” Jones. The kiwi scrap mechanic was returning after nearly a year away from the group! In Santa Monica, he was receiving an early birthday present: a set of keys to a DC-3 (an aircraft with internal heating!), and a chauffeur hat.

Ray was poked out of his reverie by Devika. “Hey, it’s getting good!” At the front of the room was the Los Angeles DA. At the defense table was Florence, charged with arson, and Abogado Numero Uno, Tacito Uriel Velasco! (I compelled her “rode the rails” aspect to explain why the LA Combination was trying to pin a crime on her. Obviously, she was an ex-hobo, used to starting fires, and there were people who saw her start a massive fire at Maude’s residence in Pasadena…) Luckily, the group (rounded out by Penny An’Te and Aldous Bingen) was able to discredit the prosecution’s star witness.“You rich lawyers, you’re getting paid hundreds while I’m only here because they gave me 20 bucks!” The group was planning the next stage of the defense when a palooka stood up at the back of the courtroom and opened fire on Boss Dragna! Tacito responded by using the fire hose, fighting fire with water. The gunman fled. (Obviously there’s a fire hose there, haven’t you seen Disorder in the Court?) The group chased down and defeated the gunner and his pals, earning a trial dismissal. The group celebrated at the Cocoanut Grove and had a weird encounter. Jones, the pilot of the Vivian Leigh, met the ACTUAL Vivian Leigh. His failed schmoozing earned an injunction that was only Papered over by Tacito. Maybe instead of a lawsuit, a royalty plan? Meanwhile, Penny spent her time in Los Angeles gambling. At three in the morning, she left the Roosevelt Hotel, having missed a half dozen “come see me” messages from Lala. Oops. On the plus side, Penny'd won a hot tip: there was a disintegration ray being auctioned next week at a hotel in Scotland! The group investigated the ray, and all the n’er-do-wells who wanted it. The auction was being held at a remote hotel near Inverness… And that’s when the problems started. Among the bettors were a weapons trafficker and a member of the Black Hand. There was also the question of the inventor, a sickly man who was five years older than his wife but looked 70. There was a great bit as Jonesy snuck his way past the device’s guards, letting them go on break to watch Florence sing in the lobby:

Guard: “If you play nice, I’m not gonna tell anyone you were in here.” Jonesy: “And I won’t tell anyone you weren’t.”

The scrap mechanic discovered something strange: The device worked, but 90% of its casing was superfluous. Florence worked her charms on the inventor’s wife, discovering the urgency of the sale and his lack of technical talent. Tacito discovered something else: the machine, when activated, messed with phone lines and radios, as well as making him feel a little queasy. Maybe that’s why long-term exposure had aged the “inventor”? The night of the auction, things went strangely. The device disintegrated a statue, as promised, but Devika pointed out two things: 1. The device was emanating magic; 2. Between the cheating, mixed feelings, and blowing her off, Penny’s relationship with Lala should go on break. Thick fog rolled in from the loch. The players speculated that the inventor had just wrapped mechanical gizmos around a magical device. Solved! They just needed to win the auction. After dinner and the first round of secret bidding, a 9-foot-tall, gray-skinned man approached and put in his own bid: a huge sack of gold coins. An Am Fear Liath Mòr! As if a creature of folklore wasn’t bad enough, bright lights pierced the fog. Aliens ALSO wanted the device! Jonesy rushed to his plane, helping Penny into the gunner seat. Florence rushed to find Trudy (on location to cover the story), ending up in a nearby barn. Tacito and Aldous had their hands full stopping everyone else from flat out stealing the disintegrator! In the barn, heavy petting was interrupted by a bright orange light. It was a flame beam from the UFO, interrupting the Aussie girls’ roll the hay! On the ground, the boxer/lawyer made short work of the mafioso bidder. It didn’t matter the continent, he cleaned crooks' clocks. In the sky, Jonesy flew dangerously close to the saucer, analyzing its anti-gravity potentiator. If Penny could attach a hook, they could swing it in another direction, sending it flying outta Scotland... Unfortunately, their first attempt lodged the ship into the top floor of the hotel! Meanwhile, two of the greedier attendees were trying to steal the device on behalf of the gray giant. Florence, now up front, analyzed the situation… The Mòr was afraid of touching the device. And as a magic creature, he was particularly susceptible to Tacito’s spirit boxing. It was a mostly even fight, except that the creature kept melting into the fog, then attacking from impossible directions. In a stroke of brilliance, the butler aimed the high beams into the fight, weakening the grey man… Above, Penny finally attached the tow cables sideways, launching the aliens far away, probably becoming a meteor over the Arctic. Below, Florence turned the disintegration beam directly into the fog man, turning the tips of her hair gray and earning wrinkles in the process. Saving the day always required sacrifice…time to get to the beautician. Jonesy inverted the machine, laughing as it destroyed itself. But what would he tell Vivian? The aliens:
