Pomodoronline: My New Productivity Obsession!
I've been trying different pomodoro apps for the past month, and I think I've finally found one that satisfies me: Pomodoronline!
At first, I thought "another pomodoro app?" but decided to give it a try. Now I've been actively using it for 3 weeks, and it has a few features that make it stand out from others, which has got me hooked.

First off, the interface is quite minimal with an eye-friendly design. I really love the reddish theme - fitting for the classic pomodoro tomato theme. The timer is displayed in large font on the screen, so I can see the remaining time even if I move away from the screen a bit.
My favorite aspect of the app is the task management. With other apps, I was usually only able to track time, but here I can list, order, and organize the tasks I need to complete. That satisfaction when checking off completed tasks is priceless 🤤

Being able to see how many pomodoros I've completed and my daily/weekly/monthly work graphs in the Reports section also boosts my motivation. Last week I found myself completing 8 pomodoros in one day, which is a record for me!
The "Focus Mode" is especially useful for students and remote workers. It helps you turn off notifications and leaves you with fewer distractions to deal with.
Is everything perfect? Of course not. For instance, the lack of mobile app support is a drawback - though it's in their roadmap, so we'll wait. I also thought about the pricing a bit. Monthly at $4.99 is reasonable, but I went with the annual plan at $40, which seems more economical.
I tried the free version too, but I had to upgrade to the paid version for reporting and some customization features. Still, the free version is quite sufficient for beginners.
Anyway, if you're like me, struggling with distractions and looking for methods to work efficiently, I'd say give Pomodoronline a chance.

But how do you ensure that your ads stand out from the crowd and actually generate results? Fear not! In this blog post, we’ll reveal some top-notch tips and tricks that will skyrocket your success in running Facebook ad campaigns. Get ready to unlock the secrets behind creating captivating content, nailing precise targeting strategies, optimizing for conversions, and so much more. Get comfortable as we delve into the world of Facebook advertising – it’s time to make things happen!
Introduction To Facebook Ads
Facebook, with its massive user base of over 2.8 billion active monthly users, has become an essential platform for businesses to reach their target audience and advertise their products or services. And one of the most effective ways to do this is through Facebook Ads.
Facebook Ads are paid advertisements that appear on the Facebook platform, including the news feed, right column, and Instagram feed. These ads allow businesses to target specific demographics, interests, behaviors, and locations of users based on their profile information and online activity.
In this section, we will provide a detailed introduction to Facebook Ads and how they work so that you can understand how to leverage them for your business’s success.
Why use Facebook Ads?
With traditional advertising methods becoming less effective in today’s digital age, social media platforms like Facebook have become crucial for businesses’ marketing strategies. Here are some reasons why you should consider using Facebook Ads:
1. Massive Reach: With billions of users worldwide and advanced targeting options available on the platform, Facebook Ads offer unparalleled reach potential for businesses looking to expand their customer base.
2. Cost-Effective: Compared to traditional forms of advertising such as TV or print ads, Facebook Ads are relatively affordable. You can set your budget and adjust it at any time based on your campaign’s performance.
Understanding The Target Audience
Understanding the target audience is a crucial aspect of running successful Facebook ad campaigns. In order to effectively reach and engage with potential customers, it is important to have a deep understanding of who they are, their interests, behaviors, and preferences.
1. Define Your Ideal Customer Avatar: The first step in understanding your target audience is to create an ideal customer avatar. This is a detailed profile of your ideal customer, including demographic information such as age, gender, location, income level, education level, and occupation. It also includes psychographic information like their interests, hobbies, values, and lifestyle choices. Having a clear picture of your ideal customer will help you tailor your ad campaigns to their specific needs and desires.
2. Conduct Market Research: Market research plays a crucial role in understanding your target audience. It involves gathering data about your potential customers through surveys, focus groups, interviews or by using tools like Facebook Audience Insights. This research will provide valuable insights into the demographics and interests of your audience which can then be used to create targeted ads that resonate with them.
3. Analyze Your Existing Customers: Your existing customers are a goldmine of information when it comes to understanding your target audience. Analyzing their behavior on social media platforms can provide valuable insights into what type of content they engage with the most and what motivates them to make a purchase. You can also use tools like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel to track website visitors and understand their actions on your site.

Setting Objectives And Goals For The Campaign
When it comes to running a successful Facebook ad campaign, setting objectives and goals is crucial. Without a clear direction or purpose, your campaign may not have the impact or reach that you desire. In this section, we will delve into the importance of setting objectives and goals for your Facebook ad campaign and provide tips on how to do so effectively.
1. Understand Your Overall Marketing Goals
Before diving into setting specific objectives and goals for your Facebook ad campaign, it is important to understand your overall marketing goals. These can include increasing brand awareness, driving sales, generating leads, or promoting a new product/service. Identifying these overarching goals will help guide your decision-making when it comes to creating and implementing your Facebook ad campaign.
2. Use SMART Goal Framework
One effective framework for setting objectives and goals is the SMART criteria – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. This means that each goal should be clearly defined (specific), have measurable metrics (measurable), be realistic yet challenging (achievable), align with your overall marketing goals (relevant), and have a set timeline for completion (time-bound).
3. Consider Your Target Audience
Your target audience plays a significant role in determining the objectives and goals for your Facebook ad campaign. Understanding their demographics, interests, behaviors, and pain points can help you tailor your messaging and choose appropriate objectives that resonate with them.
Choosing The Right Ad Format
When it comes to running a successful Facebook ad campaign, choosing the right ad format is crucial. The type of ad you choose will impact how your audience perceives your brand and how effective your campaign will be in achieving its goals. With multiple options available, it can be overwhelming to determine which ad format is best suited for your business. Here are some tips to help you choose the right ad format for your Facebook ads.
1. Understand Your Objectives: Before selecting an ad format, it’s essential to have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve with your Facebook ad campaign. Are you looking to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to your website, or generate leads? Each objective requires a different approach and therefore, a different type of ad format.
2. Consider Your Target Audience: Knowing who your target audience is can also influence the type of ad format you should use. For example, if you’re targeting younger audiences, then video ads or Instagram Stories may be more effective than static image ads.
3. Utilize Different Ad Formats: It’s always best practice to test different ad formats and see which ones perform better for your business goals. You can create multiple versions of the same ad in various formats and run them simultaneously to see which one resonates better with your audience.
Budgeting And Scheduling The Campaign
Budgeting and scheduling are crucial aspects of running a successful Facebook ad campaign. They determine the overall success of your campaign, as they impact the reach, engagement, and ROI (return on investment) of your ads. In this section, we will discuss some tips to ensure that you budget and schedule your Facebook ad campaigns effectively.
1. Set a Realistic Budget: The first step in budgeting for your Facebook ad campaign is to set a realistic budget based on your marketing goals and objectives. This will depend on factors such as your target audience, industry, product or service cost, and competition. It’s important to allocate enough funds to achieve your desired results without overspending.
2. Utilize Facebook Ad Manager: Facebook Ad Manager is an essential tool for managing and tracking your ad campaigns’ performance. It allows you to set daily or lifetime budgets for each campaign, making it easier to monitor spending and make adjustments accordingly. You can also use the Ad Manager to track key metrics such as impressions, clicks, conversions, and costs.
3. Consider Your Bidding Strategy: When setting up your ads in the Ad Manager, you have the option to choose between automatic or manual bidding strategies. Automatic bidding lets Facebook optimize bids based on your budget while manual bidding gives you more control over how much you want to spend per click or impression.
Analyzing And Optimizing The Campaign Performance
When it comes to running successful Facebook ad campaigns, analyzing and optimizing the campaign performance is a crucial step that should not be overlooked. By carefully monitoring and adjusting your ad campaign, you can maximize its effectiveness and achieve better results. In this section, we will discuss some key strategies for analyzing and optimizing your Facebook ad campaign performance.
1. Set Measurable Goals: Before launching your ad campaign, it is important to clearly define your goals and objectives. This will help you measure the success of your campaign and make informed decisions while optimizing it. Whether you want to increase brand awareness, generate leads or drive conversions, having measurable goals in place will act as a roadmap for your campaign.
2. Use Facebook Ads Manager: Facebook Ads Manager is a powerful tool that provides valuable insights into the performance of your ads. It allows you to track key metrics such as clicks, impressions, reach, engagement rates, conversions, etc. You can also use filters to view data by specific date ranges or demographics which can help you identify trends and patterns in your ad performance.
3. Monitor Your Ad Frequency: Ad frequency refers to the number of times an individual sees your ad on their newsfeed within a given time period. While reaching a large audience may seem like a good thing at first glance, bombarding them with too many ads can lead to ad fatigue and result in decreased engagement rates. Keep an eye on your ad frequency and adjust the budget or targeting if needed.
Utilizing Facebook Ad Tools And Features
One of the most powerful tools for running successful Facebook ad campaigns is utilizing the various ad tools and features offered by the platform. These tools can help you reach your target audience, create engaging ads, and measure the success of your campaigns. In this section, we will discuss some of the key Facebook ad tools and features that you should be using to maximize your campaign’s effectiveness.
1. Audience Insights: This tool allows you to gain a deeper understanding of your target audience by providing valuable demographic, location, and interest data. By using this information, you can create more targeted ads that are relevant to your audience.
2. Ad Manager: The Ad Manager is where you will set up and manage all of your Facebook ad campaigns. It provides a user-friendly interface for creating and editing ads, targeting specific audiences, setting budgets and schedules, and tracking performance metrics.
3. Custom Audiences: With custom audiences, you can upload your own customer list or website visitors’ list to target them with specific ads on Facebook. This feature is particularly useful for retargeting previous customers or reaching out to potential customers who have shown interest in your brand.
4. Lookalike Audiences: This feature uses Facebook’s algorithm to find new audiences similar to those in your existing custom audiences. It is an excellent way to expand your reach and connect with potential customers who share similar interests as your current ones.
Staying Up-To-Date With Facebook Advertising Trends
Staying up-to-date with Facebook advertising trends is crucial for running successful ad campaigns. Facebook is constantly evolving and introducing new features, targeting options, and algorithms that can significantly impact the effectiveness of your ads. To ensure that your campaigns are reaching their full potential, it is important to stay informed about these changes and adjust your strategies accordingly.
Here are some tips on how to stay updated with Facebook advertising trends:
1. Follow official Facebook resources: The first step in staying up-to-date with Facebook advertising trends is to follow official resources such as the Facebook Business Page, Ads Help Center, and their blog. This will give you direct access to any updates or announcements from the platform itself. You can also join Facebook’s Official Advertiser Community Group where experts share tips and insights on current trends.
2. Monitor industry publications: There are many industry publications and websites dedicated to covering social media marketing news and updates, including those specific to Facebook advertising. Some popular ones include Social Media Examiner, Adweek, Marketing Land, and Social Media Today. By regularly checking these sources, you can stay informed about any changes or new features on the platform.
3. Attend webinars or conferences: Facebook often hosts webinars or conferences focused on educating businesses about their advertising platform and upcoming changes. These events not only provide valuable information but also allow you to network with other advertisers and learn from their experiences.
Conclusion:
Running a successful Facebook ad campaign requires careful planning, consistent monitoring, and constant optimization. By following the tips outlined in this article, you can maximize the effectiveness of your campaigns and reach your target audience effectively.
Here are some key takeaways to keep in mind:
1. Define Your Objectives: Before launching any Facebook ad campaign, it’s crucial to have a clear understanding of your goals and objectives. This will help guide your strategy and ensure that all your efforts align with your overall business objectives.
2. Know Your Target Audience: Understanding who your target audience is crucial for running a successful ad campaign on Facebook. Use the platform’s extensive targeting options to reach the right people based on their demographics, interests, behaviors, and more.
3. Create High-Quality Visuals: With so much content competing for attention on Facebook, it’s essential to create eye-catching visuals that will grab users’ attention as they scroll through their newsfeed. Make sure that the images or videos you use are high-quality and relevant to your brand.
4. Test Different Ad Formats: Facebook offers various ad formats such as image ads, video ads, carousel ads, etc., each with its unique advantages. Experiment with different formats to see which ones resonate best with your audience.

How to Deal with Windows 10/11 Nonsense
This is more for my own reference to keep all of this on one post. But hopefully others will find this useful too! So yeah, as the title says, this is a to organize links and resources related to handling/removing nonsense from Windows 10 and Windows 11. Especially bloatware and stuff like that Copilot AI thing.
First and foremost, there's O&O Software's ShutUp10++ (an antispy tool that help give you more control over Windows settings) and App Buster (helps remove bloatware and manage applications). I've used these myself for Windows 10 and they work great, and the developers have stated that these should work with Windows 11 too!
10AppsManager is another bloatware/app management tool, though at the moment it seems to only work on Windows 10.
Winaero Tweaker, similar to ShupUp10++ in that it gives you more control over Windows to disable some of the more annoying settings, such as disabling web search from the taskbar/start menu and disabling ads/tips/suggestions in different parts of the OS. I think ShupUp10++ covers the same options as this one, but I'm not entirely sure.
OpenShell, helps simplify the Start Menu and make it look more like the classic start menu from older versions of Windows. Should work with both 10 and 11 according to the readme.
Notes on how to remove that one horrible AI spying snapshots feature that's being rolled out on Windows 11 right now.
Article on how to remove Copilot (an AI assistant) from Windows 11. (Edit 11/20/2024) Plus a post with notes on how to remove it from Windows 10 too, since apparently it's not just limited to 11 now.
Win11Debloat, a simple script that can be used to automatically remove pretty much all of the bullshit from both 10 and 11, though a lot of its features are focused on fixing Windows 11 in particular (hence the name). Also has options you can set to pick and choose what changes you want!
Article on how to set up Windows 11 with a local account on a new computer, instead of having to log in with a Microsoft account. To me, this is especially important because I much prefer having a local account than let Microsoft have access to my stuff via a cloud account. Also note this article and this article for more or less the same process.
I will add to this as I find more resources. I'm hoping to avoid Windows 11 for as long as possible, and I've already been used the O&O apps to keep Windows 10 trimmed down and controlled. But if all else fails and I have to use Windows 11 on a new computer, then I plan to be as prepared as possible.
Edit 11/1/2024: Two extra things I wanted to add onto here.
A recommended Linux distro for people who want to use Linux instead of Windows.
How to run a Windows app on Linux, using Wine. Note that this will not work for every app out there, though a lot of people out there are working on testing different apps and figuring out how to get them to work in Wine.
The main app I use to help with my art (specifically for 3D models to make references when I need it) is Windows only. If I could get it to work on Linux, it would give me no reason to use Windows outside of my work computer tbh (which is a company laptop anyways).

Weekly Reminder Post
Hi everyone!
First things first, for long-form blog posts full of all kinds of information, plus the FAQ and stuff, check out the Actually ADHD web site.
This is your weekly reminder that we have been around since 2012 and there are pretty good odds that we’ve answered your question (or a variation of it) at some point in that time.
Before you send in your question, please check the following places to see if we’ve covered your situation:
Tags - we tag every single post so look for your topic.
FAQ - we have covered the most common questions we get here — you won’t get a different answer, so please do check here before you ask!
Popular Questions & Posts - some things are so common we have a page we go to for linking in our answers, but you can access it yourself and save us some time!
Resources - we have links to places you might be able to find more information!
Reading List - we have a list of books that might be helpful for you to read; if you’ve read some of these books and would like to write a review for us to link, please do!
From our sidebar:
The more specific your question, the better the answer. Don’t just ask for tips on “how to manage ADHD”; that’s too broad a topic. Instead, choose something specific that you need help with and ask about that.
We will no longer be attempting to answer general questions like this. Please check out the links in the list above or try to narrow down your question.
In addition to this, please remember that we are an ADHD blog. If your question is not directly related to ADHD in some way, we are probably not the right place for it. We recommend @mentalillnessmouse for non-ADHD related mental health questions. Also, do check out their resources; they have emergency numbers and chats and stuff as well as informational web sites all listed in their pages.
There is one other thing you need to be aware of, and that is that there are a few topics we don’t respond to anymore. Typically this is because we have said everything we can about the topic (in which case you will find it in the tags and/or on the FAQ). In some instances this is due to mods’ limitations.
Currently we do not respond to questions about dermatillomania (skin picking), especially not if they are incredibly detailed, due to personal difficulties dealing with the topic. If you look in the tag (right here) you will find some information and links to other blogs that deal with the subject.
We will also not be answering questions about whether or not it is okay to use the term special interest as we have answered that many times in the past. Questions about hyperfixation may also go unanswered. Please check the applicable tag (right here) before asking your question.
This list will be added to as necessary.
Thanks for understanding, everyone!
We are on YouTube! Please subscribe and watch the videos and like and comment and recommend… all that good stuff.

Mini React.js Tips #1 | Resources ✨
I thought why not share my React.js (JavaScript library) notes I made when I was studying! I will start from the very beginning with the basics and random notes I made along the way~!
Up first is what you'll need to know to start any basic simple React (+ Vite) project~! 💻
What you'll need:
node.js installed >> click
coding editor - I love Visual Studio Code >> click
basic knowledge of how to use the Terminal
What does the default React project look like?
Step-by-Step Guide
[ 1 ] Create a New Folder: The new folder on your computer e.g. in Desktop, Documents, wherever that will serve as the home for your entire React project.
[ 2 ] Open in your coding editor (will be using VSCode here): Launch Visual Studio Code and navigate to the newly created folder. I normally 'right-click > show more options > Open with Code' on the folder in the File Explorer (Windows).
[ 3 ] Access the Terminal: Open the integrated terminal in your coding editor. On VSCode, it's at the very top, and click 'New Terminal' and it should pop up at the bottom of the editor.
[ 4 ] Create the actual React project: Type the following command to initialize a new React project using Vite, a powerful build tool:
npm create vite@latest
[ 5 ] Name Your Project: Provide a name for your project when prompted.
[ 6 ] Select 'React' as the Framework: Navigate through the options using the arrow keys on your keyboard and choose 'React'.
[ 7 ] Choose JavaScript Variant: Opt for the 'JavaScript' variant when prompted. This is the programming language you'll be using for your React application.
[ 8 ] Navigate to Project Folder: Move into the newly created project folder using the following command:
cd [your project name]
[ 9 ] Install Dependencies: Execute the command below to install the necessary dependencies for your React project (it might take a while):
npm install
[ 10 ] Run the Development Server: Start your development server with the command (the 'Local' link):
npm run dev
[ 11 ] Preview Your Project: Open the link provided in your terminal in your web browser. You're now ready to witness your React project in action!
Congratulations! You've successfully created your first React default project! You can look around the project structure like the folders and files already created for you!
BroCode's 'React Full Course for Free' 2024 >> click

Hello! In this post I will share some tips I have to help you on your custom content making journey. These are more general rather than creating a specific item, but I may make another part in the future!
Things covered: learning curve of blender, free resources, learning your computer, using references
1️⃣ There’s no need to pay for anything
The only money I have spent on anything related to TS4/custom content is for some of the expansion packs. Every resource I have used I have only had to pay with time. Blender, Sims 4 Studio, and Sims 4 Tray Importer are all free! And for Photoshop, a good free alternative I use is Photopea, which is just a web version. Another good alternative is GIMP, which is an application.
There are applications like Substance Painter and Marvelous Designer, but I would only recommend those if you have a genuine interest in 3D modeling outside of TS4.
And in terms of finding tutorials, scouring the internet will always lead to some result. A good tumblr page is @thefoxburyinstitute, which has many sections based on your level of experience. Adding “reddit” to the end of a search helps too!
2️⃣ You can export anything from Sims 4 Studio as a reference (mod or EA object)
For an EA item, In S4S, go to Tools -> Browse Game Content -> then select the category you need a ref. If it’s a mod, click on My Projects and find the package you want.
From here, you can export the mesh, images, or any textures you need without having to create a new package for it! Best used when you have already created your own package and just need one aspect of the object.
If you want to append in Blender, go to File -> Append (works with any .blend file exported from S4S), then find the location of whatever you exported. Go to the Object folder, find anything labeled s4studio_mesh_number, then append. I just append all of them, then delete ones I don’t need.
Also, in the Scene tab, make sure the cut box is blank for the reference you imported! S4S will confuse this with your mesh if not, as the cut number determines which mesh will replace the EA one.
3️⃣ File management is important!
The more you create, the more random things you’ll download on your computer. You need to be aware of where you’re downloading things from, duplicate files, how much storage it’s taking up, etc. I recommend the Sims 4 Mod Manager by GameTime. Back up your files often and learn how your computer works because every device is different! Below is how I organize my CC (could use some improvement), but use whatever keeps you organized.
4️⃣ Learn Blender outside of Sims 4 CC
There have been so many times when I’m so frustrated about Blender that I have to take a step back and focus on a different hobby. The first time that happened years ago, I decided to learn how to make simple models in Blender, and not only did I enjoy it, but I also learned so much that can be applied to CC! Below are some tutorials that I watched.
Blender 3D Beginner Tutorial by 3DGreenhorn
A simple room tutorial.
3D Isometric Bedroom by artbytran
Another simple room tutorial, but with more cute details.
Creating Stylized Low Poly Characters by lacruzo
How to make a low-poly character and texture paint on it (I used this tutorial to texture paint on a hair clip!)
Intro to Creative Web Development by Andrew Woan
Okay I know the 5 hours is daunting, but only (lol) the first 2 hours are Blender. This video goes more into the technological aspect and making models optimized for video games/web (ahem TS4). After the 2-hour mark, it's all coding, which is not needed for CC making.
5️⃣ It takes time/consistency
As a person who only makes CC once every other month or so, it’s mostly muscle memory and consistent practice that makes someone feel confident in their CC making abilities. Remember how as a kid typing was the slowest thing ever, and today you’re (hopefully) better? It’s cause you kept practicing over a long period of time.
The first time I opened Blender to make poses was in 2021, and 4 years later, there’s so much that I have learned from others, and 10x more that I don’t know due to the endless possibilities of what can be created. But hey, I’m confident enough that I made this post of tips, right? Take small steps, the end goal is to make something you or others enjoy.
Thanks for reading this if you’ve come this far, and here are two pages I recommend reading to help you on your CC journey! :D

Full Stack Development Made Simple: Expert Tips from Thelma Ivuka Onwukwe

Thelma Ivuka Onwukwe, a full stack development expert, explains that full stack development means working on both the front end (what users see) and the back end (how the website or app works behind the scenes). A full stack developer can build a complete website or application from start to finish, including designing web pages, writing code, connecting to databases, and making sure everything runs smoothly. This role requires knowledge of many tools and programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript for the front end, and Python, Node.js, or PHP for the back end. Thelma Ivuka Onwukwe says being a full stack developer is useful because it allows one person to understand the entire system, solve problems quickly, and build better, faster, and more efficient digital solutions.
