👔 for Sharperton! (all those layers hnggggg)
Who's ready for some more Sharperton??? 😆 That's these two, in case anyone needs a reminder:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(This one's a little NSFW.)
3. 👔 Adjusting clothing
Benedict was no young lady with marriage prospects to be ruined, but that didn't make what he was currently doing any less illicit.
That knowledge should have made it easy to stop, but Benedict found it impossible. Not when he had Thomas by the hips, pulled close enough to feel a hardness pressed against his own. Thomas had lured him out here with a coy, half-lidded gaze and yet Benedict was the one crowding Thomas into the hedge wall.
“Thomas,” Benedict groaned, as Thomas trailed kisses down his jaw to his throat, his deft fingers working on Benedict's cravat. “We should really be getting back.”
“Hm?” Thomas continued with his work and when Benedict’s throat was bared, he set his lips to it, sucking hard enough to leave a mark. Benedict should have been concerned by that; instead, the knowledge that he would be walking around with Thomas's mark hidden beneath white cloth went straight to his groin.
Benedict tightened his hold on Thomas' hips, dragging him closer so that Thomas was the one to groan. The sound vibrated down Benedict's throat, making him even harder.
“You are the new mysterious eligible bachelor.” Benedict attempted to find reason, as Thomas turned his attention to the other side of Benedict's throat. “Your presence, at least, shall be missed.”
“Then let them miss me,” Thomas said against Benedict’s skin. His fingers were at the buttons of Benedict’s waistcoat now.
“What sort of deviant have I introduced to the ton?” Benedict asked with a breathless laugh. “Perhaps I should warn all the eligible lords and ladies?”
“They are not in danger,” Thomas said, lifting his head. “Only you.”
It was dark in their hiding place but the moonlight caught in Thomas’ startlingly blue eyes. There was such an intensity to him at times, a desperation that made Benedict’s heart ache. He wondered if this was yet another effect of Thomas’ chilling childhood.
Benedict moved his hands from Thomas’ hips to cup his face, pulling him close for another sweet kiss. Thomas responded eagerly, resuming his attempt to divest Benedict of his clothes despite their quite public location.
Sudden giggling caused them both to freeze. It was a woman’s voice, followed by a baritone chuckle. Two more hopeful lovers, sneaking off as Thomas and Benedict had? It was further proof that their spot within the hedges was not as secret as they had hoped.
Benedict caught Thomas’ hands before they could continue their work on his buttons.
“Let us return to the party,” he said quietly, mindful now of others nearby. He could see Thomas preparing himself for disappointment; his heart was worn so plainly on his sleeve. “I shall tell my mother my good friend, Sir Sharpe, has indulged a bit too much and requires help getting home.” He raised Thomas’ hands and pressed a kiss to the knuckles of both. When he lowered them, Thomas was smiling with something like relief in his eyes.
“And then, perhaps, I could tempt you to indulge yourself?” Thomas asked, his voice low and hopeful. Benedict chuckled.
“Of that you can be sure.” He released Thomas’ hands and felt for the ends of his undone cravat.
“Please,” Thomas said, catching his gaze. “Let me?”
Benedict swallowed and nodded. Thomas started by fixing the buttons he’d undone on Benedict’s waistcoat. He did so much more slowly than he’d attempted to undo them. All Benedict could think of was having those hands lower, but he attempted to restrain his imagination.
Thomas’ hands rose to Benedict’s throat and he gently stroked one side of it. It had to have been one of the marks he left. Benedict’s face flamed at the thought and he caught Thomas looking up. A smile teased those devilish lips before Thomas returned his attention to fixing Benedict’s cravat. He took more care than Benedict did for himself, each brush of his fingers against Benedict’s skin a small torture. When he’d finished, Benedict felt somehow less put together than he should have been.
Thomas rested a hand on Benedict’s chest, at the V in his waistcoat, and said, “Shall we go inside?”
Prompts are here. Other ficlets here.

I also think something that's lost in these Wakanda vs Talokan comparisons/criticisms is the fact that Talokan has a more radical approach to protecting their nation PRECISELY because they've faced a more direct threat for a longer amount of time than Wakanda. People try to call Namor's actions 'antiblack' but the ironic thing is that many black people would have more in common with the fictional Talokanil when it comes to having ancestors/family who directly went through colonization rather than viewing it from an insulated area such as Wakanda. Yes it's true that both Wakanda and Talokan have encountered Western imperialist and colonialist powers, but the differences in how they've interacted with these powers/on what terms they've met them are KEY to understanding their dispositions, which would then lead someone to see how weird/off it is to apply real-life, black vs poc dynamics to these nations.
At the end of the day, Talokan (and more specifically Namor) would've approached any other nation (like Wakanda's) regardless of race/ethnicity with their radical approach for taking down a world that has caused so much unjust death and destruction to countless marginalized folks and to the environment in general in its quest for powerful resources. The fact that Wakanda is a black, African nation is relevant to Talokan insofar as it means that they have SOME awareness/sensitivity to the negative effects of colonialism and that, at this particular point in time, there is hope that they may develop a more radical outlook (especially given Shuri's mental state) given the threats they are facing from global powers.
What Talokan (and Namor specifically) fail to account for is the complexity of the kind of experience that a Black American like Riri Williams has and the insidiousness of the reality that her inventions could be misappropriated by her exploitative nation to wreak havoc by stealing resources. Their decision to kill this particular scientist is rather fueled by their recognition of her as a creator of a tool to be used by those Western colonialist nations to further subjugate the world, and consequently as a threat to their safety/security/stability. If Riri Williams were Asian, White, or, yes, even Native American, the same decision would've been made because it is her proximity to these exploitative nations that is the issue.

(spoilers of black panther 2) breaks my heart to think that Queen Ramonda and Nakia lost T'challa three times: in Black Panther 1 when he "died", after Thanos' Snap and now😭😭And Shuri didn't survived in Thanos snap so Queen Ramonda lost her 2 CHILDREN at same time for 5 years ultil they came back😭😭😭
I'm glad you brought this up!!! Queen Ramonda and Shuri deserved some time for healing together!!! I would really love it if they brought back Angela Bassett in like the multiverse type of way (like maybe from another dimension where thanos' snap had never been undone? and like Queen Ramonda from that dimension maybe gave the country over to like M'Baku and came to our dimension??)

spoiler warning for Wakanda Forever:
i wish shuri killed namor. i know they are gonna build up his character and all that but.. heroes can kill people. namor murdered her mom! she had to watch her entire nation be swarmed and then deal with all this loss.
“oh that’s not who you are” why can’t we let her get revenge for that. could’ve killed namor and told his country that they would leave them alone..

Once again thinking about Namor in BP WF and I honestly wish there were more scenes with him and Queen Ramonda. Like their interactions were so vastly different to that of Namor and Shuri and I just wish we really could've seen two established and powerful leaders going up against each other

When HotD got out everyone was like Oh, Daemyra is the new, improved Jonerys with good storyline
And I didn’t give it too much attention, you know I stay mostly in my line and don’t mess around with shit that doesn’t interest me (like Jonerys) but now that I think of it…
I’ll do you all one better (and maybe I am late at the party as always, because I can’t be the only one noticing this)
Jonsa is the reversed, evolved, less entitled (both Jon and Sansa start as spoiled characters but have their entitlement beaten out of them pretty soon, and we love them for it), more duty-oriented (thank you Ned) Daemyra.
I mean all signs point in that direction and I see you 👀 GRRM pushing the Jonsa agenda further on!
And now I’ll tell you what sources I have to base my logic on (and maybe I am wrong ey, but I think it fits Jonsa more, as of now, though Martin could totally disprove me going the other way confronted to the way the show concluded knowing his ending).
So, at the beginning of the story, Robb becomes king in the North by popular demand.
In the first episode Viserys becomes heir (and later king) by popular demand.
Both Robb and Viserys inherit their position by their much beloved predecessor (Jaehaerys and Ned) and both are ‘named/appointed’ by a conclave of lords/ladies in the Riverlands ffs.
Both Viserys and Robb end up planting, with their own politics, the seeds of the shit storm that almost threatens to destroy their family after their death.
Robb marries Jeyne (Talisa in the show) instead of the Frey betrothed thus snubbing the Freys and going back on his word. He dies without an heir leaving the North in shambles when he had been a step from winning the war.
Viserys names Rhaenyra heir and then — instead of marrying the Velaryon girl — marries Alicent and has more children knowing that if they were male it could cause disrupt with the line of succession.
Both are idolised after their death — Viserys taking the name of The Peaceful thanks to the ruling and politics of his Queen and council and Robb by being sanctified by his siblings and lords even tho he was the one causing most of the problems who caused his death and almost destroyed the North — both Viserys and Robb loose their heirs.
Viserys loses his sons by Aemma
Robb dies childless and his heirs (Bran, Rickon, Sansa and Arya) are to his knowledge lost (Bran and Rickon presumed killed, Arya presumed dead and Sansa married to a Lannister).
The heir that remains them, their younger brother/sister (Daemon and Sansa) is not considered worthy of inheriting after them — Daemon for his character and Sansa because she has been married to a Lannister — so both do the same thing, they disinherit their lawful and rightful heir (yes Bran and Rickon and Arya are alive but Robb doesn’t know it; Viserys will have Aegon, Aemond, Daeron and Helaena but he doesn’t know nor care) to name another as heir someone who, by law, should pass after the rightful heir.
It seems to me like some pretty big parallels here.
Daemon = Sansa
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon and Sansa are the second born children of a couple who love each other and apparently their mother’ fav.
And you know what’s sick? Daemon and Sansa both supported their brother’ right to any extent.
Daemon readied men-at-arms and sworn swords to defend Viserys’ claim when people rumoured Corlys wanted to assemble a fleet to defend Laenor’ right after Rhaenys.
Sansa bled for the northern independence when in KL and then later — and this is only show for now — Sansa gathered the northern army and put KL under siege to defend her brother. Sansa is the one who decided to rally the lords of the North behind House Stark once again (Jon was done fighting) and she was the one to offer Bran the role of Lord of WF when he returned from Beyond the Wall.
Despite being loyal to their family in their own way, both Daemon and Sansa are disinherited by their king in favor of someone they love but that by law should have come after them.
By succession tradition and law the brother of a king becomes before the daughter of a king — unless women can inherit the throne which was not the case in Westeros at the time — so Daemon came before Rhaenyra in the line of succession, yet Viserys disinherited him to name Rhaenyra heir.
By law and tradition of succession Sansa as the trueborn eldest surviving daughter of Ned and Cat in the evenience of Robb dying without heirs (Bran and Rickon are both presumed dead) comes before Jon, the base born son of Ned Stark. (Jon himself says so “by law Winterfell belongs to my sister, Sansa”/“Winterfell belongs to my sister, Sansa”, even though Sansa is a Lannister, a murderess and apparently dissolved in thin air) yet Robb with his will disinherit Sansa to name Jon heir.
Everyone expected Daemon/Sansa to be angry at Jon/Rhaenyra because of it — Rhaenyra herself and the viewer when Jon was named KitN — instead what happened?
Daemon became Rhaenyra’ stauncher supporter and Sansa became Jon’s. Daemon supported Rhaenyra and Sansa supported Jon. When people expected Daemon to lash out when the terms of surrender were issued, he obeyed Rhaenyra order without issue; when the northern lords unsatisfied with Jon’ stay in Dragonstone offered the crown to Sansa, Sansa refused and defended Jon’s claim. All she did in s8 was to defend Jon’s claim to the North and the Realm.
And you know what else is incredible?
Daemon is suspected to have “caused” his first wife’ death and his second wife died in childbirth. Rhea Royce died after a fall from horseback — in the show Daemon kills her, but in the book she dies of the wounds later on, as the hit to the head might have caused her delayed death. Still Daemon is suspected to have caused it — the horse to unseat Rhea — and tried to inherit his wife’ keep.
Sansa “caused” her first betrothed, Joffrey’ death, by telling the truth to Olenna and Margaery which spurned them to have him killed at his own wedding feast. Sansa escapes and her first husband is almost killed for the crime — almost making her a widow.
Both Daemon and Sansa are more skilled than their counterpart in their competence. Daemon is the most skilled warrior of his time, Sansa has learned politics from the best and worst in it.
Daemon finds himself at odds with his brother with the war of the stepstones and Sansa finds herself at odds with her brother whilst in KL as she has to navigate and survive the southern court and Joffrey.
Yet both return to their brother in the end, Sansa by remaining true to her Stark identity (“I am not your daughter, I am the Lord Eddard and lady Catelyn’s daughter. The blood of Winterfell”/ “what if it is truth he wants and justice for his lady?”) and Daemon by winning and giving the crown to his brother.
Sansa wins the battle of bastards through her alliance with the Knights of the Vale and lets her brother take the crown.
Sansa and Daemon are both described as beautiful, charming and dashing. But Daemon is mercurial and Sansa is called a witch for her apparent part in Joffrey’ death.
Both Daemon and Sansa are advisors in their capacity to their brother/king though they have to clamor to be recognised any degree of validity. Sansa has to fight to gain the right to be Jon’s advisor even if he chooses Davos as chief advisor as Viserys chose Otto.
Daemon’s children are the one who inherit the Iron throne after the DotD. Sansa’s children will inherit WF and the North after asoiaf is done.
Jon = Rhaenyra
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jon and Rhaenyra are the odd ones out of this.
Rhaenyra knew her place, she prayed for a brother to inherit the Iron throne just like Jon would have died to defend Robb or any of his siblings (and in the book he does die for fakeArya). But both are ambitious.
Rhaenyra accepts she will be queen and makes of it her identity; Jon dreamed of become Lord of Winterfell before he knew what that entailed.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon expect that their orders — despite their intentions — will be followed, even when they go against hundreds of years of tradition. Rhaenyra as Queen and Jon believes the NW will follow to war against the Boltons when the NW has been neutral for thousand of years. And both pay the ultimate price for it. Death.
Jon is killed by his sworn brothers, Rhaenyra is killed by her brother’s dragon.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon have the temper of their family but they control it for the most part. It takes really big things for it to be spiked. Luke’s death for example.
Both Rhaenyra and Jon are intertwined with fake relationships. Both cause the death of their first lover/spouse.
Rhaenyra marries Laenor to keep the Velaryon in her corner, Laenor who is a gay man — in the book she is much less understanding of it btw — and their relationship is fake and her children aren’t his. In the show she loves him platonically, though I don’t remember that being the case in the book. In the end, whether his death is faked or not, Rhaenyra causes that. Either by having him killed — as they say in the book — or by having him fake his death to marry Daemon to strengthen her claim.
Jon has a “fake” relationship with Ygritte (you know what I think of her in the book) to make sure his undercover mission is accomplished. In the end Jon’ mission is accomplished and even though he “fell in love with her” he still left her and the war between them ended up claiming her life.
After the death of the heir — Balon and Bran and Rickon — Rhaenyra and Jon are both raised to the role of heir by their king with a decree that disinherited/snubbed the previous law-ful heir (Sansa/Daemon).
At the same time, Viserys/Robb have other heirs. Viserys marries and has sons (who have sons), Rickon and Bran are both alive though presumed dead who could end up threatening Jon’s claim once the will becomes active after Jon’ return from the dead.
They have sexual tension with the snubbed heir and value them as advisors though they don’t always agree with their politics.
Jon feels that Sansa’ opinion demeans him before the Lords — tho he names her regent — and Rhaenyra distrust Daemon not to declare war without her say-so.
And yet both Jon and Rhaenyra gain the ripe of Sansa and Daemon’ loyalty.
Even if Jon and Sansa don’t always see eye to eye, Sansa loyalty to Jon is what gets him out of KL alive, without Daemon’ skills as warrior Rhaenyra’ war would have ended long before it started.
Sansa and Daemon both are against Jon and Rhaenyra to surrender their crown, and work to keep the other half in their role.
And you know what? There’s more.
Gifts giving — belonging to a House
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon and Sansa both have something that defines their belonging to House Stark.
Sansa’s wolf-bit and Daemon’ sword — which, do I have to go down the sexual metaphor about Sansa’ bosom and Daemon’ sword? — and both whilst speaking of heirs/reading to war to defend the claim to the crown gift the other half something that signifies their belonging to the House as well.
Rhaenyra’ necklace and Jon’s cloak. Both items which Rhaenyra and Jon puts on and basically keeps on for ever — like it was a fucking joke how long Jon kept the cloak on even on Dragonstone —also Rhaenyra necklace resembles a chain (chain of command) and same with Jon’s cloak stripes (which resemble a chain of command).
Rhaenyra confronts Daemon about her being named heir — and perhaps we’ll have something similar in the books for Jon and Sansa. Tho we have something akin to that when Arya confronts Sansa about Jon having the crown and Sansa liking the attention.
Yet both Sansa and Daemon stand strong in their loyalty to Jon above anyone else.
Protecting — destroying some of the earliest and greatest threats the other claim
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vaemond is one of the earliest threats to Rhaenyra rule, just as we know LF has been playing against Jon all along, yet both Sansa and Daemon defend the other half by killing the offender.
Arya and Bran serve as the Viserys in the comparison, because it’s Sansa who passes the sentence (as Arya herself points out) the same way as Daemon is the one who decided to kill Vaemond instead of letting Viserys order of having his tongue removed to be carried out.
Thus removing the earliest threat to the other one’.
Also, both Daemon and Sansa destroyed indirectly or directly another threat to Jon and Rhaenyra by killing Aemond and Daenerys who had the attitude (both of them) of destroying the Realm to take the Iron throne if needed. Aemond would not have taken Aegon’ claim from him but if Aegon had died of his wounds before Rhaenyra was executed, with Maelor and Jaehaerys dead Aemond stood the greatest threat to Rhaenyra. Daemon killed Aemond and Sansa plotted to have the truth about Daenerys uncovered and indirectly causing her death through Jon.
Supporting the other as ruler
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon becomes Rhaenyra supporter just as Sansa becomes Jon’s. Even as snubbed heirs they love the new heir and when the time comes they are there, by their side, defending them.
Also, never forget that Sansa/Daemon are always on the side of the consort when it comes to Jon/Rhaenyra whilst that is not true for other characters, who are always afforded place of importance, but not that of the consort.
When Corlys comments on Viserys lack of action in the Stepstones Daemon replies that he can speak of his brother how he well wishes but that is not the truth for others. Similarly Sansa defends Jon (“he’s our king, he’s doing what he thinks best”) even tho she shares the lords preoccupations.
Despite not always seeing eye to eye with Daemon, he is a trusted advisor to Rhaenyra who listens to him. In the same way, despite feeling the need of Sansa’ validation, Sansa is his trusted advisor to the point Jon entrusts the whole of the North to her.
So, yeah, I raise you the Daemyra is the Targaryen version of Jonsa, with Daemon and Rhaenyra being worse people than Jon and Sansa are combined. By ey, there’s a dark streak to the Starks not to be underestimated.

Do u think there is qitn foreshadowing for arya? I do think there is some forshadowing but theres queen forshadowing sansa too so i never know what to make of it. I never know what the plan for sansa would be if arya became queen anyway, people act like she would just be cool with that lol or be fine ruling the vale? That doesn’t make sense. Plus why would the show make sansa queen when they easily could have made arya queen if thats whats planned for the books.

Can't stop thinking about the possibility that Shuri's grief over her mother's death is greatly tied to how she took her for granted in the last year she was alive. I just imagine her wishing she'd done that ritual with her mother, wishing she spoke more often about and bonded over their shared grief, wishing she spent less time in the lab and more time with her mother. And the fact that their last moment together was her ignoring her mom's wishes and hanging up on her...man. The guilt she must've felt knowing that "the last person who truly knew me" was someone she had isolated herself from despite their attempts to reach her. It's heartbreaking.

Hello! Just to start I love the world falling series and your writing :)
I was wondering if you have any historical inspiration for the world falling series? Like, time periods, places etc?
Keep being amazing and have a great day :)
hi! I'm so glad you like the series!
As for historical inspiration, oh boy do i. I'm a history major, so there is a Lot of things. I'm gonna do this by kingdom to make it easier if i can lol.
Ok, first, the End: The End is kind of a weird one because it's a blend of its older culture plus what Enderian, who is originally from the Overworld, brought with her and implemented when she took over. One of the main things is the use of rivers to separate the three old kingdoms, and the fact that the Shulk castle/the one the first fic takes place in is on water. A lot of borders historically were designated by water because it was the most consistent way to remember them since they didn't have modern tech, same with having cities on water because of transport, ease of farming, etc. Even though the End is an ice land, the rivers would still provide faster travel then through large drifts of snow. In the last chapter of WF the duke gives rae an elytra, though he doesn't tell him much about it other than the fact that it took craftsmen from all three kingdoms to make them, which was meant to be symbolic of a steady trade relationship between the three. that was slightly inspired by indigenous communities who would make art of some sort of pattern to represent allyships between various communities, and was also a fun way to tie in the elytra to the story (it will become relevant again in this fic, eventually)
The Nether: The Nether is fairly simple, in that it's meant to be a really warm climate, with lots of autumn ish coloured trees, so not totally realistic, but I tried to describe a lot of their fashion to be both unique and have some influence from their neighbours. Largely, i looked at warm climated areas irl, like india, or south america, and took influence from that, with the silks and light fabrics in a wide variety of fabrics. this was definitely also inspired by how Athena portrayed the Nether in their lore, but i tried to expand it a bit. as for political, it's sort of inspired by like 1500's ish germany, where there were many princes but one high prince (holy roman empire actually, i think?) so before netherum and soul, the princes would have been in charge of smaller areas, but then netherum and soul united all the lands into the Nether, and as an act of good faith they were elected as the King and Queen (this is more fantasy than fact based), but, all the previous princes, are still princes, so they are largely in charge of their own lands still, but they refer to Soul now, netherum in the past, about certain things. it's sort of a state situation? i was mainly thinking HRE when i planned it.
The Overworld: Admittedly, the Overworld is pretty plain. It's basically Canada inspired, since that's where I'm from, so that's where my brain goes. It's the most north american of all the kingdoms, with 4 seasons, but the northern parts of the kingdom are snowy most parts of the year, though not quite to the extent of the End. It also used to be about 4 different kingdoms, with Morningstar kingdom being the largest, so when magic hit and everything started going weird, the four kingdoms kinda came together under Morningstar, which then got renamed when Enderian took Rae and erased the name Morningstar from most memories. also, the capital of morningstar is crete. greek myth is not canon to the wf series, but ill be damned if i can't make references to it lol
The Aether: I have not talked about the Aether a lot! BUT cliamte wise I imagine it like England, where it's kind of mild most of the time, if it snows its fairly minimal, and it rains a fair amount. we're ignoring the scorching summers tho. I did also take inspiration from like Ancient Greece and Rome, just due to the Aether sort of having the rep in canon/in the fic of having the library or being scholarly. I also imagine a lot of their aspects of culture, like the wine, the art, etc. maybe not the nudity
The East Isles!: This was purely me wanting Ocie to be a queen. Again I kind of took inspo from like irish/scottish history, with britain especially. except in this case britain is the overworld, and not the aether, even though i just compared the aether to britain lol. other than that it doesn't really have any historical inspo
And thats it! the End and Nether are definitely the most historically inspired, but every once in a while i learn something new in one of my classes and i just kinda shove it in because its neat. there may very well be more, but this is what i can remember right now
thanks for the ask!

There is no point in discussing Ironwood/Atlas in the fandom. (2)
Some people might recognize this title from a thread a did over 2 months ago where i argued the reasons as to why there is no point in discussing Ironwood or Atlas in the RWBY FNDM, mostly because the people in the RWBY fandom are either lying about these two topics or have watched a different show. (LINK HERE)
What i decided is to make this into a "series" of threads over time, taking some stupid takes about Ironwood and just continuously debunking whatever bullshit i manage to oversee. This might get a bit repetitive for some, and i apologize for that, but as long as shit takes continue to be spewed i would like to at least push-back against some of them, at least for myself.
For those who want to see a different or a more in-depth topic, i will be making a thread next week about Prosthetics and Disabilities in RWBY, especially as to how they pertain to characters like Ironwood.
Anyways, onto the debunking part.
The good old "He brought robot soldiers to Vale" but this time with an extra punch of bringing Penny into the discussion.
So, as far as Ironwood bringing his soldiers into Vale, he brings them not as a show of power over Vale but rather to discourage the WF and Salems goons from interfering with the Vytal festival, he does partially use it as a PR stunt, introducing both the Paladins and the new generation of mechanized soldiers, but that is done to show off power against Grimm.
As far as the Penny part. The person whose opinion we are right now reading completely forgot that NOONE knew that Penny was a robot and NOONE was supposed to know she was. How the hell did that person forget such a detail is beyond me.
Penny was never used in the show to portray the replacability of people by anyone.Ironwood does not want to make Hunters "obsolete", what he wants is to make them not die against Grimm. Because Grimm are a never-ending threat on Remnant.
What Ironwood wants, and is set-up to want since the start is to protect human lives by instead using disposable robots.
Tumblr media
The reason why his army had flaws is because of someone noone knew was alive at the time hacking the systems. And on the topic of Penny.
I never knew that a fan of RWBY would ever have a take where they imply that Penny having a mind of her own is a problem because that means that she isnt completely loyal to Ironwood but... Uh.... Yeah
Its quite funny how the part of the FNDM that loves to say that Ironwood loves absolute loyalty and thats why he wants a fully robotic force, for then a person from that part of the FNDM to then say that Penny having independant thought is bad.

Man, dont you just love when people just make shit up as they go? Ironwood has never used child soldiers.
Even the people we see in V8 are not "children". The students in the combat academies are of age of majority with Ruby being the exception due to being moved up to Beacon despite her age by Ozpin.
The students were also only mobilized when the literal queen of Darkness SALEM was RIGHT THERE at the doorstep of the city, you know, all hands on deck situation?
This entire diatribe is a full on headcanon nonsense paired with complete decontextualization of a scene from the show.

Once again, making shit up as they go. What compliance? With what? Where? This point does not even make logical sense. How is Ironwood to blame for the WF?

Let this part of the thread to be an additional proof as to why it is useless to discuss Ironwood/Atlas with fans. In this very thread i showed someone taking canon out of their arse, decontextualizing scenes so that they would completely lose their meaning, and outright lying about the show.
What exactly is the point in engaging with these people? There is none. The best we can do is debunk their bullshit to anyone sane enough to listen.
Regardless, apologies if this is considered lower quality than most of my other work, i just want to have some smaller threads like this to debunk some complete and utter idiots.
Next week, more high quality work about disabilities and prosthetics in RWBY and their portrayal.
