people fr are like "do you expect Loki to always be in armour? 🤨" and I'm here to answer that Yes! Yes I do! In fight situations, at the very least! Take a look at Thor! Take a look at Loki in Thor 1! Or either of them in Avengers 1! Or even - dare I say - Thor 2! Loki's got LOTS of outfits, switching pieces between them and across scenes, even. He goes through the most outfit changes, and they were all cool and detailed and suited to the situations! Even when not armour! So Yes! I either expect him to reflect such bombardment of clothing in the series as well (within bounds of what is reasonable) or armour when he's fighting. Or at the very least for him to be wearing some green.

recently been noticing that i've been getting more insistent on using "upon" over "on" in my writing, n i've gotten tired of wondering if i'm misusing it bc of some nuance i'm not fully understanding (like affect vs. effect sort of thing, or who vs. that vs. which), so i finally looked it up, and it appears that literally the only difference is that "upon" is more formal.

it kind of makes me wonder if this is a sign of my writing trending towards sounding more ~posh~ or whatever. like, i am absolutely charmed by the idea of having my writing read as ~classy~ in style, or reflective of high education, but it also brings up worries of being dismissed by the average reader for being too pretentious, or scaring off reader interaction/connection bc the author vibes are just too haughty.

on one hand, i don't think it's worth sacrificing potential human connection for an aesthetic, but on the other hand, art is very much about the aesthetic, and i'm not about to compromise an aesthetic built with my own two hands to reflect my own likes and desires for the sake of consumability.

Also, they’re out there being straight up homophobic at times, and showing how uneducated they are when it comes to Asexuality and Aromanticism…

It’s embarrassing how they’re riding moral purity so fucking hard under the guise of “social justice.”

And by the gods, it’s so god damn enraging that artists engaging in their hobbies, trying to have a good time while building their own space with people that share the same interests, are getting harassed by people that can’t do the bare minimum of separating fanfiction from the source material and separating fiction from reality.
