do you guys fucking remember when music artists actually made or commissioned people to make song/album art for them instead of resorting to ugly ass AI slop?

i swear, it's always the artists with more money too. bring me the horizon keeps using AI art even though they basically shit money. incredibly popular artists that can very well pay artists using AI images to reduce costs. actually fucking sucks so bad. it just makes your song stand out way less

So, I actually am curious about this.

I use quite a few different programs for editing my work, specifically I prefer using ProWritingAid but have also used Grammerly in the past too before I wanted something with more features and specialized.

Both ProWritingAid, Grammerly, and other editing software often have features that can reword sentences for you for numerous reasons, such as getting rid of a "passive voice," for clarity, or just to make it sound better.

I'm not entirely sure what sort of program is running to do this. Is it AI based? Perhaps. Or maybe an algorithm of some kind? I am not sure. I know very little about software.

Personally, I find it really helpful and it speeds up the line editing, which I hate doing. Content editing and rewriting? Fine. LINE EDITING? Ugh.

But what is everyone else's opinion on this?

i have to say its a strange experience taking classes on branding and marketing while being vehemently anticapitalist and scorning the economic system

I don't care to discourse, I don't have all the facts yet, but I know just enough to see people continually describing AI images as 'soulless' as kinda useless. I see it raising two questions

What does art with 'soul' look like? Is it art made by humans? That excludes some modern art pieces such as this, where meaning is prescribed to a factory assembled object by it's history and it's representation. Is it art with specific emotional intent? That excludes some fan art, where the purpose is often to just draw a person you like. It also excludes mark making most of the time.

How on earth is describing something as 'soulless' supposed to help me determine if an image is AI generated? It describes nothing about the image beyond 'the vibe', which is highly subjective.

#I'm not an art historian or major or a guy who knows about labour rights. But I am an annoyed artist #I want to try to identify when something is AI. I need useful tools to do so.#I do not want to fall into the trap of claiming everything and anything is AI because it looks 'off'#That's the perfect moment for unconscious biases to come into play

Every antagonist in P5 was focused on order and control, so post-game idea: Goro has to fight against chaos.

Imagine the character with an ability called Call of Chaos struggling with a metaverse threat trying to drag him down further into chaos. Post-rehab, still going to therapy, and now there's some other entity in the cognitive world trying to force him to give into the Call. Said entity is even using Call of Chaos itself on peoples shadows and Goro has to prove it isn't him doing it. All the while Akira is seeing the news and starts suspecting Goro's alive because of it and becomes determined to hunt him down.

With Goro in the end gaining total control over the Call, as well as finally having control of his own life.

#also love the idea that he can to feel Call of Chaos effecting him even when he isnt in the metaverse whenever the entity uses it on someone #and at first its subtle but the longer things go on the more intensely it effects him #oh and really like the idea of Zenkichi and Maruki being Goro's teammates #Zenkichi because PubSec sent him to deal with Goro after his success with the thieves #Maruki as a (reluctant) compromise to stop Zenkichi from calling Akira (because of his counseling experience mixed with metaverse knowledge #ngl I'm kind on the “Zenkichi is Goro's Sojiro” train and a lot of my post-game stuff has included it lately lol #also Maruki helping Goro the most when it comes to his mental health (especially his ptsd and the Call)#p5 #things ai made #Akechi Goro #shuake

i am a synthv user primarily because 1) i was always kind of a moresampler main on utau already :3c and 2) i am easily swayed by affordable pricing and extremely user friendly interfaces BUT the one problem with synthv studios focus on realism is how instead of just distorting vocals that are too high or low out of range, instead they just get breathier and REALLY quiet, you can get around it okay with parameter shenanigans but thats one think i really prefer about voisona and utau or sv editor - this is purely a preference thing, but I do love putting a synth far below its range and have it still functional (albeit robotic) LIKE go into c2. i know you sound like a broken jackhammer. go into c2.

#im an expression over realism guy. also an expression over robotic-ness guy. robotic realistic it doesnt matter to me #what i care about is how much hashtag personality i can hear HGKJDSHJDS #its so nebulous what i like about a synth LOL its star power!!!! do i hear star power or not!!!!!!#that is another reason i like sv a lot tho theres some expressive banks who's vocals were flattened in other iterations #primarily sora. altho the coco girlies are pretty expressive for what they are. utaus pretty good for personality honestly #but like man. the reason i got interested in learning how to use vocal synths myself was because rikka's ai blew my MIND #years ago... years ago when they had some marketing copy that referred to ai as automatic intonation.....#she still is just one of my favourite vocals in general she just got so much personality in there #but yeah expression is king to me. its king to me. thats also why i like utau banks that have like a thousand appends #i dont care that its like an entire gigabyte or two GIVE IT TO MEEEEE #the whispers... the vocal fries... the soft banks... the power banks....#thats also what i really have been loving about genbu despite him being a standard bank #he has those extra phoneme groups which are so cool the soft and the falsetto. and of course his bank is like a kire style bank in general #so a lot of interesting utau-esque expression can come from it. suffix broker like or voice colour esque. love it
