The new DnD movie was good! Went into it with my tabletop group expecting a marvel-sequel quippy mess and was surprised by very cool practical effects and wet puppets. Also it felt like a really good translation of a campaign and watching them translate dnd mechanics into actual moments scratched my brain.

I just finished Tulin's storyline and excuse me while I bawl about this game further cementing the fact that Revali made himself a Champion. He was no descendant of an ancient Sage nor did he have a loving family to train him (that we know of). There was no power destined to be his: he crafted his own version of wind control without any support or spiritual guidance and excelled at it and then he and the other Champions went into battle without the special helms, without a sacred tear/charm to further enhance his abilities, without the certainty of two rulers (and a sage from the future) with god-like powers that could back them up if things went awry. Because of this, the original Sages survived where the Champions did not.

Revali was doomed from the start and if he'd known he would've still honed his craft and piloted Medoh with his beak held high and I am in shambles about it

I couldn't stop thinking about an AU where Daniel resorts to gathering vitae again, this time to 'cure' Hazel, after his Brennenburg adventure💫, thoughts all mainly derived from this loadscreen text that tells us that Hazel is still in hospice care by the time the game's story began.

As much as I love Daniel, I don't think he really learned all that much from his experience even in the most charitable ending towards him in which he saves Agrippa. I can very, VERY easily see him slipping back into old ways if it meant saving Hazel. The most he seems to approach viewing torture as bad is when he realizes he himself no longer counts as an innocent so he can't justify killing others to save himself anymore. But killing no good, horrible, bad people to save HAZEL? Now, we're cooking with gas 😀 💀

Our second run Pip got first place in our class and a 198/200! We tied with someone else but our run was faster. The judge loved her, called her a "miracle", said she was jealous of Pip's fabulous left tucks, complimented my smooth handling (!), and said she thought Pip could be the number 1 rally silken in the country. For our lil win photo, she wanted to hold the leash and even had her husband take a picture of us to keep "so she can remember this dog when she's number 1." Lots to be proud of!

Actually. The most fucked up line from the trailer is how the collectors collect things so they can "never pass". Because I mean like. The Implications of it.

In a show that's all about change and grief. Where the collectors' main enemies were the Titans, beings that notably made new life, instead of just preserving what was already there. Where the main villains motive is his selfish inability to let go of his big brother and their childhood dream, resulting in a brutal cycle of destruction for the grimwalkers and the near genocide of the boilings isles. Where the main character's conflict stems from being pulled between an old, familiar but unkind world where she has only one person whos fighting for her, and a new, strange, horrifying but ultimately accepting world where she's grown a family that's now in danger of being turned into mindless puppets.

This is the thematic backdrop against which the collector and his kind have been set.

In other words: my friend who's seen spoilers was right. This episode IS going to make me cry

I just wanna take a moment to really appreciate the way bbh titles his qsmp lore streams XD like the last few streams have all had song lyrics that are indicative of q!bbh’s mental state and the internal struggle he’s going through in limbo and there are so many times in the past where his stream’s had a cryptic title then at some point during the stream it’s like OH THATS WHY ITS TITLED THIS WAY it always so fun! It’s like an Easter egg hunt during the stream to figure it out XD it’s such a small thing but I’ve always really appreciated it lol
