Congrats on moving into your new place!! Best advice from someone who moved into their place about a year ago: don't stress about getting everything unpacked and organized all at once! I did about one box a day and while it took me over a month to be 100% unpacked, it was so much less stressful 😊

neurotypical people will be like "yeah loud noises bother me too" and meanwhile i once had to sit in a closet clutching a pillow sob-rocking for 2.5 hours because a fire alarm went off for a few seconds

#this is an extreme example but it says something i think #actuallyautistic #yes many of the sensory issues that bother me are also mildly annoying to other people #the issue is that's what a mild annoyance to you is a cause of pain and extreme distress to me #it's a medical issue that can disrupt my entire day and ability to function--at which point i get told i'm 'overreacting'#and listen that is not how sensory processing disorder works #it's not ME overreacting it's my sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems malfunctioning on a biological level #and buddy you are WELCOME to try arguing with them but i personally have spent years not getting results from that #they are Stubborn and they do not give a Damn what you have to say

Help Me Get a Service Dog to Live a Better Life!!!

I have been waiting for years for and an opportunity like what I have just been given. I have been researching service dogs extensively for years, and now I have an opportunity to get a prospect for one…… but in 2 WEEKS! I need help funding the cost of the puppy as well as the flight ($2500 approx) to get across the country. While this has been on short notice please know that this has not been a rash impulse choice, this all has been in the making for sometime now, and there is already a dog picked out that is perfect for my needs. My community is ready and willing to support me through this process of training a service dog and think it could be one of the best things for my health.

Having a service dog would allow me to work a traditional job again, would allow me to have more freedom and autonomy, this is going to change my life in a very impactful way. I want to be able to leave my home without fear of passing out and falling, I want to be able to work again, I want to be able to get out and be a human being again, to finally have the ability to do things by and for myself!\ For the first time in a while I have hope for my future, hope that my quality of life can improve, hope to feel like me again.

since i've seen others talking about this, as someone who writes predominately lengthy fics (5k+ words), what annoys me the most is that i've seen so many people on tumblr & tiktok specifically say "i hate when writers have too much build-up and don't get straight to the smut, i just skip to it." ???? writers spend HOURS on pieces like that, and to find out you don't really care is very disheartening & is quite literally going to kill not only writing on these platforms but literature as a whole

#ppl on booktok getting upset when there's no smut in a book or it doesn't compare to the fics they've read ://#personally i don't like smut unless i care DEEPLY about the characters and to see that those are the most widely recommended books rn #pains me a little bit #and i write long pieces bc i enjoy them but #to know that people might just skip straight to the smut is upsetting #fics longer than 2k words rarely get many notes on this platform which is so sad bc that is where people get the most opportunity #to showcase their skills
