Destiny 2 is a silly little looter shooter but also its a story about love and it did matter and continues to matter at every turn. Destiny 2 is the opposite of that post about the love being there but not changing anything. the love is there and it changes everything. we succeed because Elsie tells her sister that she's there and she loves her and she trusts her and she won't leave again. we get Mara back because Shuro Chi loved her. we defeat Savathun because she cares, because she feels betrayed, because she feels her sisters were betrayed with her and that care and love blinds her. we live because Mara learns to open herself up to love and refuses to walk away from her brother again and turns back for him this time. we win because Eramis loves her people too much to fully buy into the Witness and we win because Eido believes there's good in everyone and refuses to live in a world where people can't change. we win because Taranis loved Riven and their children and defied his own nature and starved himself to give them that love. we win because Rasputin loves humanity so much even though he was never meant to because Ana loved him so much she taught him every beautiful thing she knew. we win because despite their differences Ikora loves Zavala and Zavala loves Ikora and they couldn't live without each other. we win because Eris loved her fireteam too much to let phantoms of them ruin that love and she lived because Brya loved her enough to give her one last chance. we win because our ghost loves us. just because he loves us so much. and because we love him. and because Cayde loves Sundance and wants to spend eternity with her. we win because at every turn the characters choose to love and trust and forgive.

Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.
Like. Raph being paired up with Ghostbear? Makes sense. Works great. Works amazing, even.
Mikey being paired up with Meatsweats? Yeah that checks out!!
Donnie getting…Hypno…? I mean. I guess Donnie doesn’t like magic so it kindaaa works but Kendra would have been a much better choice to me personally. Maybe Big Mama didn’t wanna include a human or something…
And Leo getting…uh…one of the Sando Brothers???? Of all villains? Nah let’s be real, his main villain is more Big Mama herself (or Leo could be considered his own worst enemy lmao-). Hell Hypno would have probably worked better here considering their shared love for magic tricks and stuff, but Carl Sando????

Oh my gosh, hi! I love your art so much!! I noticed you're letting people drop their farmer's in for a doodle, and I couldn't resist.
This is Oakland, my Farmer! She goes by Oak with her friends, and Acorn to her parents. She was previously military, which is where she got most of her scars from; the other scars are from the monsters that try to attack her animals at night. She can't use a sword for shit, but she's a great marksman and uses a shotgun. She's going gray at 26, has pretty harsh wrinkles around her eyes and mouth from scowling so much. She found a second family in Shane(<3), Marnie, and Jas, and is best buds with Gus and Kent. (Don't tell Marnie, but she hates Lewis with every ounce of her soul and would absoLUTELY shoot him if Marnie gave her permission) She's a little batshit, but I think she's neat.
Lmk what you think! :) I truly adore your work, and I can't wait to see the other doodles you'll post. I hope you have a lovely rest of your week! Take care! <3
god damn what’s it like having the best farmer. r u kidding me rn. id let her fire a big fat shell at me any day. PHEWWWWW 😋😋😋😋

“Homura callously destroys everything and everyone else because she's selfish and she only loves madoka” right that's why, when she rewrote the entire universe, she not only made it to where Madoka would be surrounded by her friends and her family, but she also gave Sayaka a second chance with not only Kyoko, but with Hitomi and Kyoske as well. That's why she gave Nagisa and Mami a life together. Because she's callous and selfish and she doesn't care about anyone but Madoka. That's why she took on the brunt of immortality for Madoka to be human again, even if it's temporary, choosing to suffer alone whilst everyone else has a second chance at a life. Go fuck yourself. I'm so tired of seeing ppl minimize Homura's love for Madoka and her friends by writing off her actions as “oh she's just a selfish evil edgelord who destroys everything and everyone who isn't madoka bc she doesn't care about anything else bc selfishness vs selflessness themes!!” like you do know that you can point out Homura's selfishness and Madoka's selflessness without blatantly lying and trying to rewrite canon to fit your narrative, right?

You know, I really really hope that the Bad Kids don't kill the Rat Grinders because it's So incredibly clear that they were victims groomed to be angry killing machines. When they saw those text messages of Jace being like "I know you kids are so up your own asses about revenge against the bad kids, don't fucking do it you little idiots", I was like holy SHIT dude, you're a fucking adult talking to a bunch of hormonal teens in which you've helped cause even more of an imbalance to their emotions and you're telling them to calm down??? What the fuck did you expect to happen when you made teenagers the crux of this mission??
I remember in an ap where the group was talking about how inappropriate Porter was acting towards Gorgug w how personally invested he was to his performance, and it makes me uncomfortable to think of his possible past interactions w the Rat Grinders.
Sure they have their own issues like Kipperlily being mad at Riz cause she doesn't have a traumatic backstory or Oisin's relative being close w Kalvaxus and possibly brewed some resentment on his end, but also...they're kids. They were angry, but it was more teens being petty than bloodthirsty. Then, they were heavily influenced by these adults/forces who have So much more power over them telling them that, yes, you are right to be angry and rageful, it's not unhealthy nor smth to be managed, you need to nurture it and embrace it.
So, while it was a choice they made to be resurrected by the rage crystals, the circumstances of their deaths heavily coerced them to say yes. Yes, they're adventurers, but that doesn't mean they're any less afraid of death. And they're still so young man, are you really gonna look at a kid who died when they were still trying to grow up and say, with certainty, you would've chosen "better" if you were in their position??
If the Bad Kids were willing to help Ragh see through his issues, surely they can extend a similar mercy to the Rat Grinders.
**I will say, to an extent, Jace is also a victim, although idk how involved he was in the plot with Porter before getting rage crystaled himself. Very intrigued to see the starbreaker duo in action!

if i had a nickel for every time a guy watched his alien robot boyfriend die in front of him saving his life, and was then able to pilot said boyfriend's body to defeat the big bad and save the world from certain decimation because the bond they share is so strong, i would have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weIRD THAT IT'S HAPPENED TWICE

I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it
So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.
Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role
Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong
Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself
Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong
Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder
...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).
I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.

seven deadly sins tag!
Ohhh shiiiit thanks @the-golden-comet! And bbgirl @sableglass!!
Rules: which of your OCs would you assign to which of the seven deadly sins and why?
With the caveat that everything about the seven deadly sins I know from watching the movie Se7en and I am using the Wikipedia page as an instruction manual, let's gooooo!
Greed: Technically it's Royston. Of my five main OCs, he's the only one who acquires more wealth than anyone could ever possibly do anything with (look up how far a dollar went in the 1870s if you want to have a minor heart attack.) He doesn't give back to the community, only shares his Knowledge with one person, and thinks it's cute that he has multiple bounties on his head. But he's not avaricious, bc one would need to not be a...
Sloth: ... which Royston also is. And there's a lot of overlap between his psychopathic/attention-deficit traits and what the Church considered slothful behavior so hmmmm. Second answer is Khalid based solely on the fact he's physically inactive and can't run in ALM2.0 because Reasons.
Wrath: After seeing Hofer's performance in the Bad Ending, I'm never calling Royston the trigger-happy one again. This man's emotional repression is lethal.
Gluttony: Royston is a "dainty" and "expensive" eater (Thomas Aquinas's words, not mine.) He has a legit survived-a-stabbing-to-the-guts reason for this. Thomas Aquinas doesn't give a fuck.
Envy: [huge sigh] He's also vain, has a high opinion of himself, and gets jealous of Molly, Sullivan's horse, no fewer than three times in one novel.
Lust: I'm giving this one to Sullivan. I know I rip on Royston for being a horny little bastard, but Sullivan wilds out a bit in Book 2 and I say GOOD FOR HIM HE EARNED IT.
Pride: I have to call him out for something besides being a skinny nerd: Khalid. And I can tell you why in one word. I'm not going to, bc I don't want to end up in the search engine. But you all know what word it is.
Tag, suckers! <3
