New Scotland Yard: Perfect in Every Way (1.9, LWT, 1972)
"You come here and you tell me my... dear man is dead. Your friend is dead, a good man - a good man, that's what they always tell me - you come here and you say he's dead, and, and 'Who did it? Oh, we must find out who did it, we're all good policemen!'... You're ruthless. Like he was."
"You don't mean that."
"Oh, he was a good man, wasn't he? Well, that's just what he wasn't. He was never allowed to be, he was a policeman! A perfect officer of the law, morning, afternoon, evening and night. Sometimes he wouldn't speak to me for weeks, we - we lived a terrible, terrible life."

Faith Applied-Part 2 for Finance:
Jesus and Peter’s tax bill/ widow’s mite
Matthew 17:24 After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”
25 “Yes, he does,” he replied.
When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes—
from their own children or from others?”
26 “From others,” Peter answered.
“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him.
27 “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”
Questions
Does Jesus care about your temple (local) or other taxes?
How did he know where the coin was?
What can we learn from this story?
The widow's mite
Luke 21:1-4 (Mark 12:41-44)
1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4 for all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
Questions
What can we infer from the fact that the poor widow cast in all she had?
What was her view of God’s importance?
What do you think Jesus might have done in response?
Would you be willing to part with your last penny/cent for the Lord?
Amen
Personal Prayer
The Lord is willing and able to meet all your financial needs . Amen

A pictures worth a thousand words.
I will admit I'm a peaceful guy. Yep, I'm a lover, not a fighter. Do I enjoy causing trouble? Nope, it's not in this fella's DNA. But I'm more than a little ticked at women these days. Yep, not just one or two women. I'm going to point a finger at all women. I read something recently that pointed out that women more times than not have pictures at work of their pet dog, cat, bird, or whatever animal they have at home for a pet than they do of their husband or man in their life. I had trouble really believing that so over the past couple of weeks, I paid extra attention to peoples work stations. My goodness, what is with you ladies? I asked one lady at the bank, "Wow that's a beautiful horse you got there. What's its name"? She just brightened up and said: "Sugerbell" I then said: "I don't see any other pictures up. You need to find a riding partner." She said she was married but didn't bother with putting his picture up, only " Sugerbell. I was in another business and the secretary had two dog pictures, two cat photos, and 3 small children pictures. I mentioned she had room for more pictures in this one area on her wall. Perhaps for more animals or her husband. She said not my husband's photo, I have to see him at home that is enough. Okay, I won't pursue that subject any further. Why is it women are not giving men their due? The men are out in the trenches everday puting it on he line and you can't put a picture of them up at your work place? I'm so disappointed. I went to my wifes office. Pictures of every grandchild and each of our children around her desk. If you didn't know her you'd of thought she was a widow. Not one picture of me. (I have some photo's that are justs adoreable she could have put up.) I don't know what this game is women are playing with us men but it's not funny and it's not going to have a good ending. Some men might have a picture of a car their fixing up or a fishing boat their proud of, but usually they keep a photo of the lady in their life on display. But no not woman these days. I got an idea ladies. How about you take a picture of your man holding your pet. Then you can kill two birds with one stone. Why ladies post your pets but not your hubbies pics at work? Please ladies enlighten me. I also have to deal with one of my children. I was at their house and couldn't find a photo of me anywhere in the place. Come to find out they have my picture back by the fuse box. Who would put a respected member of the familys picture next to the fuse box? This is a story that will be continued.
