Hello! Hope I'm not bothering you, but I've been meaning to get into digital art, I'm just not sure where to begin. Do you have a few tips for novices? I really like the complexity of your art style and you're also very interactive with your followers, so I thought I would ask you! Hope you don't mind :]
Don't worry, you're not being a bother at all! And I apologize in advance since I think I'm not that good in giving tips, I just do whatever when it comes to digital art 😭
If you don't have a specific program that you'll use for digital art yet, please pick programs that are beginner friendly (Eg. Medibang, Ibispaint) since using complicated art programs can be intimidating. (^^;)
There are times that different brushes can change or affect what your art style/lineart look like, so make sure to use the brush you're comfortable using. (If you check out my old works, you can see how different I draw characters back then compared now. I use pen for lineart in the old works (medibang), now I use the details brush in krita)
Use references!
Avoid toxic perfectionism, it takes out the fun in doing/creating art :((
Don't drag yourself down whenever you feel like your art isn't good enough, improving takes time. You have your own style and that's what matters!
Take a break if you're drawing a lil too much to the point it feels overbearing, it can result to burnout.
That's all that I can think of atm hsjshs sorry I haven't slept yet (>. < ;)\
I hope that my tips can be somewhat be a help for you, I wish you a good luck! I'm gonna sleep now ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

happy Be Nice to Me Wednesday! bc youre having a bad day, i wanted to tell yall about how you helped me gain confidence in my art style.
when i do digital art, i draw with the polyline tool. this used to be bc i couldn't afford a new tablet after my old one broke, but ive actually grown quite attached to it, and now i wouldn't go back if given the choice. anyway, when i first started doing this, i felt really insecure about it--like i had to draw extra well to make up for the deficit of not using a brush tool.
however, last year, i found your account. i know you don't use the polyline tool (some of the lineless art you do you might use it though--good bi gender for example), but your art style is very angular, and uses a lot of bright colors--just like mine! and yalls art is so fricking cool--its the kind of art people wanna chew on, bounce like a ball, dive into--its art that inspires real, powerful, emotion! so realizing that my art had traits in common, traits that i appreciated in your work--well, it made me feel a lot less inferior to artists who use more traditional tools. and now i'm actually super proad of my art style :D
It might make you excited to know I use the polyline tool very frequently in my own work!
And thank you for sharing this with me. I don’t have a lot of energy atm, but this makes me really happy to hear. And I’m glad you’re proud of your own work. You should be.

I'm a different anon, but I'm sorry to hear your audience fiddled out with the nsfw ban from years ago! Your art is absolutely gorgeous, and the way you present your ideas in them is so unique! Especially with the Chinese zodiac animals and the quotes you have for each of them!
Also, I'd like to ask how you started making art. I'm very interested to hear the personal journey of artists. Did you always like drawing animals, for instance? Did you go to art school or to a training of some kind, like ateliers? And do you make traditional art too, or is it all digital?
Oh thank you so much!! I do my best as I really want to just keep making art for as long as I'm alive. I'm really happy to hear you say it's gorgeous and unique ( ᵒ̴̶̷̥́ _ᵒ̴̶̷̣̥̀ ) Yeah it is unfortunate, but I still like being here and sharing art on here, so who ever is here to enjoy it, I'm glad! I only hope new people stick around and old ones come back, I've certainly missed getting to interact and chat like this! Oh how cool! I'm honoured ahahaha I'd love to answer these q's into my process and profession so far: I absolutely have always liked drawing animals. It started with dinosaurs, cats and dragons, I loved them all as a child, just their whole concept and how cool I thought they were! I wanted to get good at drawing so I could depict them and make my own designs, and in learning how to draw their anatomy (mostly big cats) my mom got me a book that had all sorts of animals in it and how they worked and how to render these forms. I devoured the book and I gained an interest in all animals through drawing and learning from it. From there I kinda just delved into researching whatever animal piqued my interest! Not to mention dragons (one of my prime interests) are amalgam creatures and so in my pursuit in being able to draw any kind of dragon, knowing a whole lot about different animals is a huge boon in designing them! I did, I actually went to a Fine Arts university as I originally was going to be a bonafide gallery artist and wanted to gain as much knowledge into different techniques and mediums and conceptualization as I could. I'm pretty poor but had stellar grades so Uni was a great option for me to get access to studio equipment and knowledge thanks to qualifying for scholarships and loans. It was like a pressure cooker for 4 years and I can only describe it as the best of times and the worst of times;; I have a Bachelor's Alma Cum Laude in Fine Arts. I do! Since I originally was going to be a physical installation artist, I know how to build and construct kinda whatever? I have a minor in sculpture and I've made something in almost every medium from paper to concrete to silicone to plasma cutting metal and more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I got out of Uni I unfortunately lost my access to a ton of this equipment and wasn't successful in finding a replacement studio due to the financial/location/funding cuts barriers. I kinda became disillusioned with the prospects in the art world at this time and realised this wasn't the only space where I could have a career as an artist. So I changed my focus to becoming an illustrator and character designer. I taught myself digital at the same time I was getting my degree, so I honed my skills from then to be up to snap for production level art. I'm currently art director for an indie game project rn doing exactly that! (Although this is one of three jobs I'm juggling atm, it's why I've been posting less these days, I'm quite busy ( ´ ◇`)ゞ)
That being said I still make things occasionally at my house as I still like making physical things from scratch when I have the time/money to do so! I like making masks and small sculptures, examples of these being this mask and this keychain :3c I always thought that the medium should be chosen based on what best serves the idea in mind, but most of my art is digital due to the production costs for making this art being nearly zero (as long as I have my tablet and electricity!) and having greater access to offer my artistic services with digital media ;o

Okay but in all seriousness the way you use color just shifts something in my brain whenever I see it, ESPECIALLY when you choose vibrant colors for the entire piece or only add one vibrant color because just AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH the way I'm SOBBING every time because it's so damn good
Also when you opt for more pastel colors????? It's been a while but back during ✨️our Kirby days✨️ you posted an art piece of Meta Knight sitting in the moonlight and just. The lines, the moon popping out thanks to the limited color pallet, the pastels, the way you made him So Fucking Shaped. It's literally the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I think of Meta. It's just such a stunning artwork like hhhhnnnnggggggGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH IT'S SO GOOD YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE IT
AAGHHHHH THANK YOU SO SO MUCH
this made me smile sm
im rlly proud of that meta knight ur talking about.. it was originally a physical sketch but i liked it sm i turned it digital and then i got silly with the colors
ive always been proud of my colors, but in the past (like idk 7 years ago) i had a weird limited approach to things. i figured out the trick of like,, taking something whose base color is pink and shading with purple. and then that was all i would do, because it pretty consistently made stuff that was pleasing to look at
and i developed a bit on that sorta style for years until my spamton era happened. i started using mspaint a TON and it radically changed my approach to coloring. having to both go into a seperate menu to select colors AND having the black/white slider be required to color pick Made it so that i had to experiment a lot more. mess around, maybe try a lower saturation. and after a while i started getting obsessed with grey tones.
my old old art was all super colorful, but in a sorta predictable way. its nice but didnt leave much of an impression
but in like my current era i use a lot of toned down colors. desaturated, greyish in betweens, playing with warm greys v cool greys, actually appreciating complementary colors
butyeah thats all to say. uh. i like colors a lot and i think about them alot
there r always new ways to approach coloring something and u can make some crazy stuff
ill admit that i feel like alot of my doodles n stuff look a little samey atm. u can tell what colors i default to when im feelin lazy lmao (cream, teal, green, warm pink, etc. all desaturated of course) but then again i havent been drawing much lately, the sample size isnt super big
i wanna make more shit i just never have the ideas or motivation.. i jsut end up doodling fish furries lol
uh i got distracted. anyways. thank u sm.....

I love you art and it's just sooo good! I was actually wondering what art program you use and device for your digital art be a use I've been wanting to buy a screentablet for a while. I have a non screen tablet atm (it's 4 years old) and I just think that I need a new one. I also currently draw on Krita but I've been wanting to try out some new programs. Anyway, hope you have an AWESOME day and thankyou for being so nice and doing what you do! 😁 also, happy pride!
Thank you so much!!
I don’t have a specialized drawing tablet, I just use an Apple Pencil and procreate on an iPad :,)
I used to draw on my computer and used a Wacom tablet and Painter Essentials 6 but that was quite a while ago so I’m not too sure if it’s as good as I remember…
Happy pride!!

i have some old timelapse videos to upload but idk if i'll do it again because the drawing files become just too big for my drawing devices

Back during HF (prerequisite school thing for Uni), during particularly difficult to focus on classes, I started making these red landscapes. It was about 2011-13. Recently, while having some downtime at work, I've come back to them.
This is from a few days ago (7/7-23) and made with fineliners and a cheap red marker on "layout paper".
More examples and experiments, the old drawings and musings about the process below the fold.
It started out as a productive way of slowly letting time pass. Doing something monotonous but creative, which would take a long time to finish. All I had was the note-paper and whatever was in my pencil case (Which to be fair, was well stocked).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two are from back then, probably a couple of days apart, probably took a few days each. I don't remember. The left one, the one with the "waterfall" was my first attempt. The one on the right was the third, after a bit of experimenting on what worked and didn't. The second attempt of experiments are further down.
I've removed the holes from the paper digitally, just for transparency (lol)
Recently, I've had a lot of wait time at work. InDesign is bloated and slow, my computer is quite a bit lacking in RAM and the books we are working with atm is quite heavy. So, I've had some time while waiting for files to export, books to package and documents to open. This has resulted in some experimenting.
Tumblr media
The top-left one was the second made after getting back into the flow of the process. The first one is not much different, so not included. I hadn't seen the originals for years, so there are some very obvious differences, but the elements are there. The top-right one was made more as an experiment: what if I make ruler-lines to space out the clouds. I like the effect. More geometric, but it does take away from the original, ominous feeling.
After the experiment (see also the bottom right drawing in the following picture.) I dug out the old drawings and referenced them, as you can see on the bottom right post-it (which is still WIP). The bottom left one is abandoned.
Tumblr media
It's both a meditative and obsessive process. Most of the drawings (All those shown here) are made without a sketch. I prefer to just jump into it, slowly building up the layers of mist and rock formations.
The biggest problem is that I get absolutely swallowed up by the process. When I've started, I have a very hard time stopping again. It gets into my brain and continuing working on it becomes all I can think about.
I have to take breaks and I have to aggressively force myself to do so, as the tiny little lines in these does a number on my wrist and forearm. And I'd like to keep those for as long as possible. I have to physically remove myself from my desk, as I have proven myself able and willing to work through the pain.
So I'm taking a break between drawings so I can maybe focus on something else. Like making this post lol
Thank you for reading <3 I very much appreciate it.

HELLO!! how are you? I’m here to request for (PLATONICALLY) sk8 the infinity, mystic messenger and obey me please! now let me introduce my fabulous self
My name is Joey, im 14 years old, i use He/Him pronouns, im transgender, aromatic and unlabeled, im a Extrovert, my MBTI is ENTP
Appearance: I have shoulder-length brown hair (will be cut into more boyish hair soon), brown eyes, im 5’6, I wear glasses! but I also use contacts, i dress in a lot of different styles such as goth (trad goth, romantic goth, mall goth and nu goth) gyaru (hime gal, himekaji, agejo, rokku, manba, kogal and tsuyome), scenemo/emo and vkei, ouji and lolita but I also drsss pretty normal when I’m not in those styles such as hoodies, T-Shirts, anime stuff, jeans, sweats and other comfy stuff also this is what I look like atm
Tumblr media
Personality: We’ll I am Extroverted and my MBTI is ENTP but firstly I am pretty awkward at first so it may take me time to adjust to a new person or more, i love to ramble about my interests(forgot to add I have adhdism), i love to talk online the most through iPhone, computer, anything electronic, i like to use “hai” as a joke and I say “I’m homophobic” as a joke as well (DONT TAKW TAHT SERIOUSLY), i also make sexual jokes as well.
Hobbies: Anime/manga, art (drawing, painting, pottery, digital art, etc), music, fashion, gaming, writing, editing, learning new languages (Japanese and Spanish), cooking, cosplaying, social media, volleyball and more ^^
Likes: cats, hajime hinata (danganronpa), a silent voice, albedo (genshin impact), lemon demon, felix kranken (twf), bread, sharks, christmas music/christmas in general, scp 3008 (roblox game), get a snack at 4am (roblox game), hotels, and my friends!
Dislikes: negative mentions of my voice, people comparing me to people like “you remind me of ____”, spiders I hate them with all my life, hate talk about my interests and that’s rlly it
thanks!
Hi Joey! Ooh, a platonic matchup! That's a nice change of pace!
In Sk8 the Infinity, I match you with...
Tumblr media
Miya is your platonic soulmate. You share so many interests!
You both loves cats, video games, social media, and (at least I think) cosplay.
And, let's be real, if Miya was allowed to in the show, he would be making the most inappropriate jokes imaginable. He's a 13 year old. What did you expect?
He enjoys listening to your rambling but he will act like it annoys him. Just say you can stop though and he'll make up some excuse like "it's better to blabber to me, rather than annoy someone else". Don't listen to him. He loves listening to you.
I also see Miya as an arachnophobe (me too Joey and Miya, me too). He's calling up Joe anytime there's a spider near either of you. He's not dealing with it and he's not making you deal with it either.
In Mystic Messenger, I match you with...
Tumblr media
LOLOL buddies! Yoosung gets pretty competitive though so keep that in mind when you're playing with him. Nothing that will break your friendship though.
LOLOL lobbies can be pretty rough places. If someone starts trash talking you about your voice or your rambling, Yoosung's jumping to your defense. No one talks to his best friend like that!
Another one who hates spiders! He probably just panics and forgets he can use his phone to call someone for help though, so that duty will have to fall to you. In the meantime, he's closing the door to the room where the spider is and locking the door. You don't need to go in there right?
Yoosung definitely watches anime. His favourites are comedy action shows like One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100. He's willing to watch pretty much anything, though he's not a huge fan of anything too scary or sad.
In Obey Me, I match you with...
Tumblr media
I'm not sure why Beel stood out to me as the right choice but he did, so this will be a journey of discovery for both of us.
Beel is so used to Levi rambling about his hobbies that listening to you is basically second nature to him.
He also enjoys playing video games (though not to the same extent as Levi) so I can see the three of you setting weekly gaming nights.
He loves trying your cooking! Beel will eat pretty much anything but he assures you that your cooking is up there with some of the better tasting things he's put in his mouth.
Takes care of spiders with no issues! He won't kill them though. He's associated with bugs after all. He's finding a bowl and a piece of firm paper and taking the spider outside.

good day/evening OP! got a question if you don’t mind! how long have you been drawing art? and what keeps you motivated to draw? do you also do commissions? and do you ever feel tired or exhausted staying in one fandom?
thanks for answering! take your time and you don’t have to answer these if you’re not comfortable ☺️
((btw anon here is in early 20’s just to be clear ^^))
Good evening/day, Anon! And thanks for clarifying your age, as it really does mean a lot 🙏💖
No problem at all to answer these! For drawing, traditionally, it’s ever since I got my hands on my first set of crayons as a babby.
1) If it’s digitally, I started doing more of that when I bought my first surface pro tablet with the remaining art scholarship money at 18-19 years old back in 2015, I believe! Medibang was a game changer because I felt it was a good starter drawing software when I couldn’t afford Paint Tool Sai at the time (I eventually bought a license for Clip Studio instead because of a friend’s recommendation lol).
2) What motivates me to draw? I have many reasons. First one to spite a kindergarten classmate who said my drawing of a Pokémon wasn’t good xD (don’t remember which). Second, to tell stories because I couldn’t write a cohesive plotline. Third, it’s the cheapest entertainment I got lol.
I remember I tried to adapt excepts from the novels I read into comic form and they were pretty fun. Especially when I was inspired by the 39 Clues fanart in the wiki page at the time.
I think if people online made them look fun, it makes me wanna join in too, and that makes me forget that my skills suck~ Which is very important in having the motivation to draw. When focusing on quality, or perfectionism , I tend to be very harsh towards myself, which what leads to my occasional art blocks.
3) Ay I do commissions, but currently closed atm! I still have two more to go and thus, I promise myself not to reopen until I get them done!
You can find the list in my Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/rttnpnkpmpkn/commissions
I may have to increase the prices a bit to account for inflation, which is disappointing but every penny counts in this trying times sorry! qwq
4) It depends! While I can enjoy a content for as long as I can before I move on to the next, the main deciding factor is whether to be involved in a community.
Every fandom I came across as a lurker always seem to follow a pattern, so I’m very reserved in joining new communities socially.
I came for the experience, so I gotta make the most out of it before I do leave to find my next hyper fixation. I’m drawing until I can find my “finale” if that makes sense ^^;
Peeps can come and go in a fandom, but inspo strikes when no one asks!
For the particular fandom I’m in, It’s definitely a mixed bag, but I’ll focus on the positives!
I have many things to be grateful for as they’re the ones who got me out of an art rut for the past year and so. I learn so many new skills and life lessons from them, where I couldn’t imagine it being any different if I didn’t meet them otherwise. I met the nicest peeps who made me forget I’m not too fond of group chats, and were very nice and supportive in their own way!
I’m returning the favor for the inspo they brought me as it’s the least I can do ^^
Also, I never truly leave a fandom, I just wander around as a lurker until I find a reason to come back again. I don’t really make an account dedicated to a specific fandom, because they don’t usually last long, so I tend to sample from other places to make the candle last longer. It wasn’t obvious mostly because I was more of a lurker then and an OC artist xD
I began drawing lots of fanarts mainly because peeps made drawing pr0n for a stickman fun 🤣
Hope that answers your question, and thank you for your time! 🙇💖

here, i answered the art questions
1. Art programs you have but don't use
aseprite, krita (nightmare to draw in), i used to have a totally 100% absolutely-not-pirated copy of photoshop but not anymore
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
depends on the day, but usually the left. i hate doing side profiles tho
3. What ideas come from when you were little
A LOT. but my story Nightfall has been a work in progress since I was 11
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
GORO AKECHI PERSONA 5
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
i hardly post most of my art on Tumblr atm, but that’s because almost all of it regards the Kirby Gemini AU and my partner and i are making a blog for that. so, as a percentage for the last few years, i’ve probably only posted maybe. less than 1% of my work?
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
honestly a lot of old emo art fksbfjfbd jhonen vasquez was a huge inspo to me for a while
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
PLUSH MAKING AND FURSUIT MAKING god i wanna learn but i don’t think sewing is my thing
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
i’ve had a lot, but i wanna keep them to myself in case I wanna salvage bits and pieces
9. What are your file name conventions
Depends on the day and the art piece but usually shit like “sorry if this looks gay”, variations of AWOO, “normal”, “k i l l”, “straight people”, etc
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw
Uhhhh armor (i say like a fucking freak)
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
this nightmare of a playlist
12. Easiest part of body to draw
Uhhhhhhh depends on the day, usually the face
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
iunno, i don’t think abt that
14. Any favorite motifs
A LOT. i cant think of any specific ones rn but i guess. religious imagery is pretty baller. that and super dark palettes with bright neon highlights and accents
15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)
my room for digital stuff, but i usually bring a sketchbook with me if i’m going out
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
oughhh coloring and shading
17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what
usually water. hydration is important 👍
18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken
traditional, i have no clue. too many. digital supplies uhhh i didn’t break per se, but two art tablets have given out (my first one lasted years, but the second only lasted a few months coz it sucked booty hole)
19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)
TREES.
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
expression work!
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways
my partner’s style!! i love it so fucking much
22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any
i do a lot of hand stretches. carpal tunnel was too much of a bitch not to
23. Do you use different layer modes
all the time! always for shading and for glowing bits. multiply and add glow layers my beloved
24. Do your references include stock images
sometimes yea lol. i don’t use refs as much as i should tho
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
Too much for me to be happy about it.
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
i drew a vent piece and people took it as me just being edgy. wild times
27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with
somedays i do. usually just shitposts or my sona
28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)
i have participated in 1 (one) collab
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
uhh ace attorney and persona
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
is it weird to say a lot of my works? like the finished ones. iunno, i feel like i get overlooked a lot and it’s a cowabummer

Hello everyone!
My name is Leslie, but everyone calls me lez. It just kinda happened that way.
I’m a 23 Yr old artist who just started doing digital art for around 2 years now! I’ve been drawing a long time before that, but drawing digitally has really helped me to start liking my art. I remember when I SWORE I was never going to do art digitally. But when I started, it got a whole lot easier, lmao.
I’ve never had a Tumblr before, so please bare with me. I do have instagram and twitter, but I’ve never been the best poster, and they are both kind of aggravating to me atm. I draw everyday, I just forget to capture it. So I’m hoping, I can start to get on it.
I do have a full time job at a local paper craft store in my small town, but I am hoping to be financially stable doing my art for a living. Also, hoping to make a comic one day about a story that I’ve been working on for awhile. I hope to share it here soon.
Anyway, I should start posting some of my recent/ favorite work.
If you wanna follow me on Instagram: lez.drawz

You should do one of those art reflection things with your ocs. You know like taking the first drawing you ever did of them and comparing it to their most recent art piece to see how much you’ve improved. I’d love to see your art journey. ❤️
Oh boy, time to bring out the cringy art. LOL But I do like doing that every so often; usually don't end up posting the progress, but I do occasionally look at old art compared to new just to see how much better I've gotten over the years.
So time to pick a few OCs for this!
I suppose I shall begin with Cynthia, since she's my main OC.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Image on the left is not actually the first drawing I made of her, but it is the oldest one I still have saved. It was done in 2013, according to image file properties. The one on the right, while not the most recent drawing she's been in, is a singular frame from an animation I did of her just a few months ago. Design-wise, she's had a few changes. Her color palette has always been the same, I just did not have the correct shades of pencils at the time when I made the first one. The most jarring change is probably the head/wing shape. I had her originally and purposefully resemble a more anthro MLP-style because of her origins, but I later decided I didn't like that and changed it to be more Sonic-like (since she's, y'know, a Sonic OC). Slightly changed her hair/tail style, swapped the watch from her right arm to her left, and changed the belt buckle from black to yellow. Rest of her is still the same. lol She's had quite the glow-up. lol
Next is everyone's favorite wolf lady, Sabrina!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She hasn't had as much of a change as her bestie did, but still some notable ones. Left was done in 2015, and right was done early this year. I made her really fluffy, but then thought her face resembled Tails a little too much, so I removed the fluff from her face, but left the ear floof. The next change was simplifying her hair style a bit. And the colors on her shirt/skirt are now inverted, but that's mostly because I forgot which went where, but I like the way it is now more. The only other thing that changed with her was her gloves, in which the new ones were based on a pair you can unlock in Sonic Forces that I thought were cute. :)
Pinchy's another OC that I love a lot, so how about him, too?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He didn't get any changes outside of an updated art style, but I still think it's neat to see how much my style improved. Left was done in 2020 and right was done only a year later! He doesn't look nearly as squished or big-headed anymore. :)
And one more for good measure, I suppose? My girl, Cashmere.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Much like the funny scorpion man, she didn't get any design changes, just an updated art style, but she's another one in particular that I feel had quite the glow-up. Left was done in 2015, and right earlier this year.
I think the biggest glow-up with all of them is the anatomy. Holy crap was it bad before... Hands, too. I think a big part of the improvement was getting new, better digital art software. Before, all I had for digital art was Pokemon Art Academy, and while it's good, it's limited on what it can do. You can't resize the canvas and if you accidentally draw something too big, you can't just resize that; you have to start all over or deal with it. I think that's a huge part of why my PAA stuff looked so squished and why the heads looked so big. I use Krita for my digital art now and it's REALLY good; I saw immediate improvement upon my switch. And layers? REALLY great, especially for shading! PAA didn't have a layer system, so I think that really stunted any sort of art growth in that regard. Using more references for things like hands and posing seriously helped me out a lot in improving my anatomy and hands as well. I would usually just wing it and guess from memory, which is why it would usually look really bad. Seriously y'all, use references, it's not cheating.
I don't really have much else to say on the matter atm, but yeah, this was a neat deep dive into my old, cringy art. lmao It's really cool seeing just how much I've improved over the years.

Hello! I'm Skull3t! (Or just Skullet)
I moved here June 17th of 2023 due to Instagrams horrible moderation and haven't been active for quite some time, so I decided I'd redo my introduction
(Long intro)
I am 15 years old, I will become 16 in May!
I like to draw (though I don't do it too often due to energy), sing songs terribly, and make jokes, I have AUDHD (Autism & ADHD), I have a special interest on animals, FNAF, and World Building/the world's i make!
Nicknames:
Skullet, Skull, Error (discord name), critter, if we are moots/friends you can also give me your very own nickname :] (as long as it isnt derogatory or a direct insult), if you know me personally by my actual name, no you dont! :) please dont refer to me by my name! 👍
Pronouns:
I prefer He/They pronouns, though they may fluctuate! Its better to ask for my current pronouns, but those are the default "okay"s! I am Transmasc and I identify with Genderfaun! If you are unaware of certain things mentioned like Transmasc, or Genderfaun, I Highly encourage doing research! You may learn a lot, possibly even gathering information on yourself too!
TSLGBTQIA+ idenities:
Transgender/Trans-masculine, possibly Aromantic & Asexual, Genderfaun, Attack helicopter🫶 /ref

My music is all over the place, but there are a few things I can name: Miracle Musical, Hamilton Musical, TV Girl, Lemon Demon, The Rare Americans, Mother Mother, Alex G, Tons of FNAF songs (i have an hour and a half long playlist of FNAF songs), Marina (and the diamonds), and I think that's all I can name atm for songs!
