How crazy would it be to say that Vivi used to be a big fanboy of Beau before the two met. Because of the perfumes and stuff. And that technically he knew almost absolutely everything about him (he was obsessed with him, to describe it in a way)

But when they met in person he just acted like he wasn't so as not to boost his ego.

And over time the fanaticism fell away after discovering his "true" personality.

But he still gradually grew to like him.

You can still find several posters, and a gigantic collection of perfumes of his brand in his room. That's why only two people are allowed to get in (Bun and T)

beau would never find out about the obsession unless he could gauge it from vivis behavior when they first meet. Bro is good at reading people but like we've seen before (read back to the beau/Vivi comic) VIVI is especially hard for him to read. Something something you'd think you'd know yourself but not really sort of deal.

But honestly, I can see beau giving Vivi perfume and his merchandise at first as like, soulless gifts for an acquaintance but Vivi just fangirling on the inside and going "this is going in the drawer under the bed"

I love that Vivi fell for it, tho. Like....he fell for the public version of beau at first, the beautiful version, the calm and graceful and marble statue version. But when he meets him I bet he was so DISAPPOINTED. And yet, he would probably understand it. Show business and all- marketing is the same thing, he was just a dummy to fall for it like everyone else.

Yet yet yet, he managed to see past the prickles and find the sweetness inside beau. He managed to break down his view of him TWICE, to see him as he really was. Aaanndd he fell in love with that (if you could call their situationship "love", its more like "something worse" but i digress).

That. publicly speaking he'd just randomly decided to "take a gap year" when in actuality said vampirism basically forced him to drop out of the school, n he sulked and ran away about it. he either met capple along the way or already knew her n she just followed him (unsure what her exact deal is yet come back to me later), & i'm still calculating what the equivalent of the common kid ensemble looks like but those two are In It & are the ones who eventually lead that little club on the trail of learning about the ancient Scholar of Discovery (kefir) in the equivalent of the like, super SUPER early world exploration crispia plotline it takes a while for everybody else to discover this interest in learning more ab "earthbread's greatest magic teacher" is because he wants to figure out a counterspell/cure to Being A Fucking Vampire thru his work, but sapphire is also something of a history buff (a bit wizard cookie-y in that respect) so he is a Total fucking fanboy when they finally meet sharp kefir and moreover is insistent on calling the guy professor at every opportunity even though that title is long since deprecated

I think if Tails ever drinks alcohol when he's older, he'd drink the ones that taste like juice and that ONLY !!!

Also as much as I love Shadow holding traits that contrast to his appearence, he would drink alcohol normally. My guy eats straight up COFFEE BEANS he'd like the strong/bitter taste of alcohol I'd think.

Life has been exhausting lately, but I have been able to play light video games. All of my brain power has been going to reading my fermentation book and I'm now 310 pages into it!!! That's a lot of heavy reading for me considering this is pretty close to a textbook. I just got through the chapter on molds you actually WANT for ferments and it's going to help me when I make rice wine for cooking later. Sorry if I haven't been the most social lately.

Thinking of it, I've seen it commonly said that the second-born nature of Dionysus is reflected in the "grape is now wine" part, however, there's a small detail that personally feels missed as a winemaker. Fermentation is merely a form of decay, one that we enjoy--and it done by yeast upon grapes, not by its own whim. It seems silly but as a winemaker I've come to understand the second-born nature of Dionysus as rather the grape being acted upon, that the transformation of sugar into ethanol is the rebirth and not merely the wine itself. The wine itself is not the second birth, it is the outside force unlocking the unique chemistry of wine to create such a lovely thing.

Not sure if that makes sense, but this would make Zeus the equivalent to yeast in this equation.
