Castor isn't an Astral

So we know that Gemini controls duality, and is an entity of duality. The are made of two, one male, one female, one calm, one excited, two opposites but one together. But they are both made of star power.

Castor has mentioned that he gets headaches when people use star power, similar to Lunar getting nauseous in reaction to negative star power. It also seems odd because, from what we can see, Castor, and by extension Gemini, is one of the most disliked among the Zodiac council. Castor is the one assigned to warn people of the consequences of using star power, despite the fact that most of the people who use it have a moral compass that is not unwilling to kill anything in their way. Additionally, Castor has been weirdly insistent that he can die. It is not as though the other Astrals are all immortal, Gemini has mentioned that the Astrals reincarnate when they die, but not only is Castor insistent that he can die, Pollux has also expressed concern for his life. Now this is normal, what with them being siblings and their apparent life-link, but we do find it odd that it has been pointed out multiple times. From what is seen it can be assumed that Castor is at least the weakest of the Astrals. But we think there's something more-

Lunar has mentioned that negative star power makes him feel nauseous but Castor has never mentioned feeling anything about negative energy, but has mentioned that the use of star power gives him a headache. So what would that lead us to?

Castor is a being of negative star power.

It explains why he is generally disliked by the Astrals, being what they are trying to stop. It explains why it is so implied he can die to a mortal being using star power, the method for getting rid of negative energy being to overpower it with positive energy. It explains the poor reaction to star power. AND it makes sense for the concept of duality Gemini represents!

Maybe Sun won’t die, but “Sun will die.”

So… something sparked in me when watching the recent video. If sources are correct, the creators aren’t going to kill Sun. Sun won’t die. But I see an old quote slowly coming true.

‘What I mean will be at the end of this theory.

Let’s go through some stuff to make this more understandable.

We all know that the only “original” person here is Sun. He hasn’t died, remade (aside from fixing/transferring after blasting Eclipse), or was reprogrammed. He’s our Sun. Our traumatized sunny boi.

But that’s just it. He’s has so much memories. He is the only original and now? He’s gaining some super powerful magic. He was once able to control Star power. Now… he can sense the wither crystals.

These wither crystals are going to be very important in my theory as we know that it can slowly corrupt anyone who holds them long enough… yet Sun was somewhat unaffected by the corruption. But you know what actually affected him?

The wither dragon.

It caused him to go in a trance. Something that the other wither shards haven’t done to him. What makes matters worse is that Dark Sun had mentioned before that a lot of the things he’s done was for our Sun. But why? Why our Sun? What makes our Sun so special for him to do what he’s doing? Why is it so important that even the creator wants Sun?

Why?

Well before stating the theory, let’s talk a little bit of science.

We all know that the Sun is basically a large STAR. It’s what the Moon (Lunar) needs to shine, it’s what Earth needs to survive, it’s half of what Eclipse (Solar) is. It, itself, is powerful to supply life. In a way, the Sun is powerful enough to produce life.

But what happens if a star dies?

Well there are two possibilities that come to mind.

One you have the dead star or zombie star, which are remnants of what was the star before it died. Which is foreboding in itself. But we can deduce this as not a possible senerio as we know the creators confirmed that Sun won’t die (unless info changed).

So what is the other possibility?

Well, if a Sun/star were to collapse in on itself…

It is said that is how a

BLACK HOLE is made.

Ironically enough, should you know what a black hole does… then perhaps you should know what it could resemble in Sun and Moon show terms…

BLACK HOLE = WITHER STORM

So here’s the theory part.

Sun will become a black hole.

An embodiment of a wither storm. We all said that Sun has the most trauma. We all said he’s been alive since the beginning. And we know that the creators said Sun won’t die.

But he won’t die. Rather he has a fate worse than death. To quote a infamous quote:

“You either die a hero or live long enough to be a villain.”

Back to the saying: Sun won’t die, but “Sun will die.”

Our Sun will eventually become the villain. His current self will “die”.

But he won’t die exactly. Ever wonder why there are wither crystals?

Well, when a black hole is formed, the star itself will burst into what is called a supernova. Shooting remnants of the once living star out to space. So in a sense, Sun’s self will be blasted into various parts of space. So while he is “dead”, he isn’t dead. Rather I see this as both a chance for his family to bring their loved one back together and for Sun to do some reflecting. I also see this as a possibility where Dazzle may also play a key part in helping bring Sun back, but how? I ain’t exactly sure but call it a feeling.

As for last pointers, I would think they will call corrupted Black Hole Sun one of these names and why:

Dark Star = first name before Black Hole

Supernova Void = fancy word

Stellar void = fancy

Void Sun = just because.

Aw, Lunar and Earth show, when the other shows give us chaos, you give us wholesomeness. Earth and Eclipse's friendship is just amazing! She's the only person who ever gave Eclipse a chance and proved to himself that he can be good and that he does care, even if he wants to believe he doesn't. Earth, you did the impossible! 👏 👏 👏 I also loved the little talk with Earth,Lunar, and Monty at the end. I just like it when the characters interact and have normal experiences and not have to worry about monsters, or villains, or other dimensions. They deserve a little break by the end of all this.

So, F.C. is in more danger than we thought! If Taurus or Creator find out about this, let's just say it won't be pretty! And to make matters even more interesting, Molten was MADE by the Crystal or from it. This star power is some crazy stuff if it can create a being that is effectively a living portal!

Molten has proven to be a great ally so far, we're gonna need all the help we can get if we want to stop Dark Sun and the other villains. Also, Molten is beginning to piece together why he was made and what he was built to do. He may have been built to hunt down and capture/kill anyone who posed a threat to the Creators, making ya wonder who these threats were? Are any of the still around? Are they betteror worse than Creator? Let's hope we don't find out.

Puppet is done playing nice, and I'm genuinely scared of what she'll do and what she'd be willing to sacrifice to win. Eclipse, you have really proven your metal out there helping Puppet and the others even though you don't have to. 👏👏👏👏 Eclipse whether you like it or not. You're one of the good guys now! Davis, thank you for the Eclipse redemption arc.

I am LAUGHING at the people upset about Bungie's pride flare and saying they'll quit D2 over it. D2, the game with so many completely normalized queer characters of many flavors you're practically tripping over them, that had an on-screen gay kiss and has a they/them nonbinary as a major expansion characters and destination vendor? What game have they been playing all this time??

It's so cringe. You can see in the comments that everyone who's shitting on Bungie has been poisoned by the recent conservative anti-trans and anti-LGBT+ propaganda that strives to take away primarily trans rights but also LGBT+ rights in general. Don't look at the comments though, for your own sake. They're particularly nasty this time around, because of the propaganda they're all slurping from their fave right-wing youtubers. I'm glad Bungie isn't backing away from this and that they continue to support us, especially at this time.

And yeah, it's really ridiculous how little attention they pay. Destiny is basically led by LGBT+ characters. From the very start. Even when they were not really allowed to have open rep, they still did it. Maya and Chioma have been canonically wives since vanilla D1. We've come from some minor lines in lore tabs that weren't even in the game to having an on screen kiss between two gay men and a major non-binary character! And not just that, but so much more. And none of it hidden away on a website.

Also people tend to either not know or purposefully ignore it, especially when they try the usual "corporations just want your money and don't care about gay people" cinicism but: Bungie has been supportive of the LGBT+ community for way longer than people think. They've been participating in and sponsoring Seattle Pride Parade from at least 2018. Their first LGBT+ pin was released in 2019. As I've noted, there have been LGBT+ characters since vanilla which released in 2014 which means that Bungie has been writing LGBT+ Destiny stuff since the early '10s.

Absolutely incredible that these gamers haven't noticed any of that. They're so good at poking around every single detail about Bungie, but somehow they didn't notice just how much Bungie has always been supportive of the LGBT+ community. My dudes, if you're bothered by this, I'm sorry to say but you've been playing a gay ass game and giving money to gay ass developers for nearly 10 years now.

Part of me doesn't want Sun to corrupt into some kind of creature, because not only would that be beyond traumatic, but mentally it would probably destroy him since he already thinks of himself as a monster, he only just started accepting that it wasn't his fault for July 16th and that was just one incident, and he said his most traumatic memory was "getting Moon killed", even though that also wasn't entirely his fault, and other characters(and fans) erroneously treat Sun like he's dangerous whenever he expresses anger even though Sun's never lashed out at anyone like that(killing Bloodmoon was self-defense and Eclipse was going to stab him in the chest hence why he lost control) and most other things were the fault of other characters taking over his body(like Moon, Eclipse and Bloodmoon), him being forcefully violated and warped into a monster would just make that worse, and on top of that Sun hates his wither powers and is terrified of the storms, so he would be turning into his worst nightmare, what he believed himself to be even though he never was a monster to begin with, how would you even come back from that even if Sun recovers from it physically/gets revived? There's only so much one can take

But there are hints and foreshadowy stuff in lines that characters say or in thumbnails - especially those which seem completely unrelated to what's happening in the episodes..

Part of me doesn't want something like that for Sun because I know that it'll mess him up even more..

But there's a part of me that wants for other characters to realize that despite Sun acting mostly okay.. he isn't okay.. because of his warped perception of himself and in result warped perception of things around him and events that happens in his life and lives of those around him..

Sun is delusional but sadly no one including Sun himself knows that..

And even when Sun told that he blamed himself for July 16th and now he blames himself for not being able to protect these children and stop Bloodmoon.. everyone thinks that it's just a normal guilt that most people would have from such traumatising event..

But thanks to Sun having depression and psychotic episode with full blown hallucinations we could clued that Sun has depressive psychosis..

And thanks to hallucinations being centered around depressive theme like guilt and unworthiness.. we could clued that Sun has guilt delusions..

And trust me when I tell you that guilt and guilt delusions are two completely different things..

And let me tell you that most people don't understand guilt delusions like at all.. and they treat it like normal guilt..

But the thing is that you can work through normal guilt.. you can't do the same with guilt delusions..

You can't talk through delusions.. yes talking about it helps but you won't heal from just talking.. delusions won't disappear just because you'll talk with someone..

Especially when these talks look like those that others had with Sun:

saying that Sun is a good person and it wasn't his fault that July 16th happened even if it helps him feel better it's not helpful for guilt delusions in the long run simply because denying delusions doesn't help;

and even if Sun understands that things weren't his fault and that he shouldn't feel guilty nor like he's bad - not aknowledging this feelings and accepting the fact that they exist that Sun has them may cause more harm in the long run.

Even if it's good that both Earth and Moon remind Sun that he isn't a bad person and things weren't his fault so he doesn't have to feel guilty.. it won't make Sun stop being delusional.. in fact it may cause greater distress when something will trigger Sun's delusions and he'll experience another psychotic episode..

Because feelings of guilt and believing yourself to be evil won't disappear and Sun may feel even more ashamed of having such thoughts and feelings causing him to not open up about his true feelings or that he still feels guilty and like he's bad..

Because why he still feels like that when he already talked about these things with others and he knows that he's not at fault..

Sun may end up denying his own symptoms even more and/or hiding having such thoughts and feelings from others due to shame and fear of others' reaction..

And there are hints that Sun despite talking with Earth a lot and coming to her for support isn't helping the way Sun needs..

It helps Sun feeling better in the current moment but not aknowledging the extreme guilt he feels and not trying to understand why he feels this way because "it's obvious he feels guilty from such traumatising experience" and thinking that facing his trauma and knowing that someone else is at fault for something will make the guilt go away sooner or later will lead to a disaster, to tragedy..

And we could see many instances when Sun was hesitant and conflicted about many things still even after talking things out with Earth..

Because why Sun insisted that his issues aren't that important like others' problems or why Sun said that Jack didn't understand him or why Sun didn't want to elaborate more about the issues he has but others may confuse them with Sun being suicidal?

And why with other characters we had clear statements that they're depressed - Lunar or delusional and psychotic - New Moon..

With Sun it was only hallucinations and intrusive thoughts.. but it always seemed to me that no one took those too seriously - New Moon was joking that Sun is schizo or that having intrusive thoughts doesn't make you bad which even if true it's more complicated when someone has guilt delusions like Sun; Old Moon on the other hand treats Sun's hallucinations like something normal and nothing to be worried about that much which even if he's somewhat right because it's better to not be scared of hallucinations but again he didn't think that Sun having hallucinations may be a sign of a serious mental disorder..

And no one really seems to see that Sun is depressed.. like maybe Moon notices something.. but it doesn't seem like he talked with him about it - same was with New Moon who noticed that something is wrong with Sun after he told computer to shoot him with laser which was obvious hint that Sun is suicidal (even if passively it doesn't make much difference really).. and yet he didn't talk with Sun about it..

Same is with Earth she never picked on Sun's weird comments or signs that he might be depressed.. and she also refuse to believe that Sun might be hiding some things from her simply because he doesn't think it's that important or because he's ashamed of himself..

People who say that Sun is the most fine and okay character are completely wrong.. just because he's mentally stable at the moment doesn't mean that he doesn't have mental disorder or that he's mental disorder disappeared or ended..

To me characters saying that Sun seems fine and most stable shows that they just don't realize the true extent of Sun's mental issues more than that Sun is actually fine..

It's actually more dangerous that no one realizes that Sun has very dangerous mental disorder..

And I think, going back to your ask dear anon, that Sun turning into a Wither Storm Dragon may be a point when everyone will realize that Sun isn't as okay as they thought.. it's sad that this might be the only way for others to see that Sun's issues run deeper than him being simply traumatised..

And maybe fans will also finally realize that Sun isn't actually okay.. and not only Eclipse, New Moon or Solar have serious mental issues but Sun has them as well..

Also I heavily opposed Sun turning into a monster for the exact same reason you stated dear anon when I was on Discord..

But I can't deny that there are hints and a lot of them at that pointing to Sun possibly being not only connected to Wither Storms but just being one of them..

But maybe hopefully I'm wrong and it'll only lead to some traumatising angst and not big very traumatising awful angst..
