going to the TARDIS Wiki to figure out the Doctor's ancestry is not for the weak

the way there are several versions of the Doctor's parentage leaves my mind reeling. one account where the Doctor is half-human on his mum's side, the other where the Doctor is loom-born, and then yet another one where the Doctor is maybe from another universe entirely. heck even the Doctor's supposed father's backstory has several versions. one of the backstories made the Master and the Doctor as half-siblings lol

i wonder if they'll do something to somehow merge it all together and make it make sense? like is that what RTD is doing?

as much as I am hoping all this is pointing to a River comeback, I find myself in disbelief that such a thing would ever happen. so i'm reading all these theories, all the callbacks from previous episodes and spin-off shows. my favorite is the "they're in a TV show" theory where someone is directing them and perhaps that would be the reason why the Doctor has several conflicting backstories because they keep rewriting it.

remember that part where Ruby's memories changed and instead the woman who dropped her off at the church pointed at the Doctor? oh and how about the accounts of the Woman Who Killed the Doctor and the Woman Who Married the Doctor supposedly being different things but actually ending up being the same person? the Doctor destroying but apparently not actually destroying Gallifrey?

this for me is an interesting bit that this woman could be the Doctor's father because well Time Lords can change genders yeah

but reading the part about them doing the Weeping Angels pose??? maybe someone has done the 'what if the Weeping Angels are actually Time Lords who'd been punished?' theory already. is there a fic or a post that explores that? it's horrifying and sad at the same time T_T like they're no longer mere monsters to me. they could be like zombies? humans turned into zombies. my mum could turn into a zombie but that would, to me, still be my mum except zombie-fied. idk what point i'm trying to make but the Weeping Angels are so Time Lord punishment coded to me

Dear diary & manifestors,

Even though the 3 days of the ¨3DOLC x ROE Challenge¨ have passed, I didn't stop affirming because it has become a habit already. I admit it is really difficult to remember to affirm every hour even with several apps because of ADHD and the things I have to do like work and housework. Plus this last week has been special because I spent it with my SP so every day has been wonderful.

Still, I have started to see movement and that's something that really made me happy. As a reminder, I'm currently manifesting my dream life (which is money, success, living comfortably, desired appearance, being spoiled by life and living with my SP since we are currently in a LDR), so movement in something like this has felt like a blessing.

Suddenly, people I haven´t worked with in a while have began contacting me. Person #1 gave me an offer with good pay but very bad terms, so I refused it but still they sided with me when it came to the terms of the offer and told me that they'll find a better offer and contact me ASAP because of how professional I am. I don't want to sell myself short but also I didn't want to accept anything that didn't align with both my values and my manifestation. Person #2 was someone I haven't spoken in years but mostly because they were having severe medical issues due to COVID and were on health leave for the longest time even if they were really beloved and people relied on them. They suddenly announced their comeback and returned in a higher position at their job (which happens to be one of my dream worplaces) and went straight to me to ask me to work together. I told them my situation and they told me that they would study a way for us to work together and benefit in ways we are both comfortable with.

I'm shocked because I didn't talk to them in quite a while and they reappeared like this. Manifestation DOES work and will accept these opportunities yet NOT accept if they don't align with my values and desires. I learned to appreciate myself through the law and I know that the law can give me more.

I must not conform with whatever I'm given, the law MUST COMFORM to what I desire fully after all.

I'll keep everyone informed with my progress!

Meanwhile, I'll think how to improve my mental diet and return to listening to subliminals while SP is at work. I'll also think about doing a digital exorcism as part of my mental diet besides some wellness. I might make a post about either mental diet or digital exorcism as soon as I have some time.

First day of autumn short

a/n 1k words kinda proofread. first of three September drabbles. Please enjoy the attempt at a comeback :)

"Good morning." You hear the soft voice of your husband right next to your ear, his lips then kissing your eyelids lightly before they flutter open.

"Levi." You mumble, pulling him closer for a morning cuddle, smiling when he lays his top half across your body.

It's the weekend now. It's okay to sleep in, be a little lazy.

Then your eyes pop open wide. "It's festival day!"

It's finally fall, and it's opening day of the towns annual autumn festival and market.

"I was wondering when you'd remember." Levi chuckles and kisses your cheek and rolls off of you and out of bed.

"I'm so excited!" You get out of bed too and put your slippers on, going to the window. "I've been looking forward to this for weeks! The games, the rides, the food, the FOG!"

"The what?" He asks, looking over at you, coming to stand next to you.

You're frowning, the curtains open now.

"Oh." Levi sees now. It's an extremely foggy day. This could put a damper on things.

He puts his arm around your shoulder and feels them drop and know there's a frown on your usually bright, happy face.

"Well, it's still early, you never know." He says, knowing that you're thinking the day is ruined.

"You know they'll postpone." You say dejectedly.

You might not be wrong. When it's this foggy, the roads are hard to see, getting around is difficult, and the town you live isn't going to put people at risk.

"Come on, let's go see." He takes your hand and shuffles you along to the living room to check the local news station.

It's true, on the banner running across the screen, there's a notice the festival won't start as anticipated. Depending on the weather, it might start later, tomorrow, or just get moved to next week.

"We can still go later maybe." Levi says, kissing your temple and moving your hair back as you sigh and lean into him.

"I know, it's probably just for today. It's just, we had it all planned." You were going to meet friends in a bit, and the opening weekend of the festival always has special activities that will have to be moved around or cancelled all together maybe.

"It's alright. We'll still have fun when we get to go. Let's go get some breakfast for now." He tries to take your mind off the disappointment.

You agree and stay in your sleepwear while you make breakfast together and Levi has you smiling in no time.

You spend the next while making an extravagant breakfast, making a bit of a mess in the process, which he doesn't even worry about. You eat some in the kitchen, then move into the living room, putting on a movie you've seen a hundred times that's perfect for the first day of fall.

"Is it looking any better out there?" Levi asks, seeing you looking out the window.

You shake your head. "No, not yet. Guess it'll be like this late into the day." You finish your plate and get up to take it to the sink.

"I'm sorry pumpkin. We'll go another day." He promises, following you into the kitchen.

"It's okay, I'm having a nice day with you. We'll just replan for next week." You smile, taking his plate as well.

Levi smiles back and helps you with the clean up, happy you seem to be making the best of things.

You call the friends you were going to meet and agree to meetup next weekend instead, while Levi makes some hot tea for you both.

Still in your pajamas, a rarity in your house, you both put robes on and go out back to sit in the porch.

Even with the fog around the area the view you do have is lovely. You bought this house a few years ago for many reasons, including the view of the town passed the hill you are one. There are pine trees behind the house along with a small pond Levi built with some of your friends so passing wildlife would have a drink and you could watch them.

Levi hears you sigh and sees the dreamy look in your eyes. His heart skips, you're always beautiful. He could watch you do nothing all day and be content. The fact that you look like this the most when it's just you and him in your home makes him happier than he can express.

You feel him staring. "Drink your tea." You smirk, taking a sip of your own.

You reach your arm out and Levi takes your hand right away, giving it a squeeze. Staying out there a little longer he sees you shiver and insists it's time to go back inside.

"What next?" You ask, putting your arms around him.

He chuckles and holds you close, kissing you softly.

"Well, we made a mess of the kitchen, watched a seasonal movie, drank tea out on the porch." He lists the things off you've done before noon has even hit.

"There's still more baking, taking a mid morning nap, doing a puzzle." You add to the things to do.

"Clean." He throws in there, making you groan.

"I'm kidding, just kidding. Let's go for a walk."

You both dress comfortably and go wander close by among the trees, putting pinecones into a tote bag to make a wreath with later on.

"Thank you sweetheart. You've really helped make this the best fall day." You stop on the way back to the house, nuzzling into his shoulder, enjoying the serenity and Levis presence.

"You're welcome love. Thank you for being here with me."

You finish making your way back to the house and before you go in, see the view of the town in the distance is more clear, indicating the fog is finally dissipating.

"Want to try to see if we can still make it today?" Levi asks as you go back into the house.

"It'll be there next weekend. Can we just get back in pajamas?" You ask with a hopeful look. There's still so much more day left to spend together. And you only want to spend it with him.

"Sounds good to me."

synopsis: You and Park Jongseong have been enemies for years. Heck, the two of you grew up picking fights with each other. A hateful war of tricks and deceit turns from bad to worse, however, when you finally trump him. Nobody can come back from having a photo of themself in tighty whities sent to the entire school, right?

You and your entire gaggle of friends were sitting around your apartment, save for Soobin nervously tidying up your counter for alcohol and setting the chairs neatly in the living room.

You laughed at the way he brought out your mini-duster from the pantry. "Soob," you called out. He turned to you with his brows creased. "You're freaking yourself out again."

He sighed and put the duster back down, rubbing the side of his face with his open palm. "I know, I know," he mumbled, "I'm just so scared of his friends not liking me."

"Soob," Keeho smiled happily, "If his friends love him, they'll trust that you're a good person and like you. It's how we feel about Heeseung, at least."

Soobin smiled even bigger and came to sit back down on the couch next to you. "Thank you, guys!" He hugged the two of you.

Beomgyu cleared his throat. "I'm here too, y'know," he jokingly rolled his eyes.

"I wish you weren't," Soobin joked back, opening his arms for Beomgyu to join the hug (which he did).

You sadly turned the TV on to play an old ITZY song. "I wish Chae and Yuna could have been here, they were so excited when you told us. They just had to have practice tonight."

"I know, but I'll take Heeseung to their comeback stage!" Soobin stood up and danced to the song. "I don't wanna take them away from making these good songs!"

You all stood up and began to have a small dance party together, easing your friend's nerves further before the doorbell rang.

It was around seven o'clock in the afternoon at this time, and the boisterous laughter outside told you that it was Jay's ensemble. "Late as usual," you tsked to yourself, swinging the door open with a big smile and holding your arms open to Heeseung.

He bent down and gave you a hug, confusedly, before standing up and greeting you. "Hi, you must be Y/N!"

"Yes, I am! You never figured that out after all the years of being friends with Jay?"

"No, I did, I just wanted to seem like we never laughed at Jay getting his ass handed to him everyday," he laughed. "You're much more welcoming than I thought, I honestly expected a box of snakes or something."

"No, of course not! This is a celebration, this isn't about Jay. And, plus, I only do that kind of stuff to Jay," you beamed, stepping to the side to allow them in.

They all introduced themselves as they walked in, and it shocked you how tall just all of them were.

Jungwon, the boy who seemed to have his wits together the most, pointed his thumb out the door as he began to speak to you. "Also, Jay is here, but he stopped and got some extra stuff for the party so he's trying to get it out of the car, if you were wondering."

You looked up and saw his form hunched into the backseat of his car, pulling out item after item. "I'll go help," you sighed.

You excused yourself from the apartment, going down the stairs and bouncing a little with every hop down.

"I didn't tell you to buy that much booze, Jay Park," you sighed with a small smile as he pulled out bags and boxes of alcohol.

He turned around with a smile, his hands on his hips in a mock defense. "I actually recall you saying to get lots of alcohol, Hwa Y/N."

As he faced you, you couldn't help but examine him. He wasn't in his usual all-black clothing, which took you by surprise. He was in jeans with a simple white tee and a light sweater, making him look softer and sweeter than the usual Jay. You had to admit, your enemy was very handsome and fashionable.

Jay felt your eyes on him as he spoke. He felt the way they checked him out. He couldn't be mad, though, because he'd done the same thing. The second he first turned around, his eyes were immediately oggling your own jean shorts and white tee, a dainty necklace around your neck. However, he could only notice the familiar jacket over your shoulders.

"You wore that jacket for me?" Jay asks, making it sound like more of a statement. He doesn't miss the way you get flustered as he laughs. "I actually bought food for all of us, too. I was gonna cook something so nobody got too sick in your apartment."

You reached into the car next to him, brushing your side against his and sending him into a flurry of warm cheeks and pounding heartbeats. He stepped to the side, giving you space.

You pulled back out with the bags of chicken and tteokbokki, holding them in your hands as Jay held the alcohol. The two of you made your way up to your apartment, stopping just outside the door.

"Jay, can I talk to you right here really quickly?"

He turned his head to you, putting the alcohol down outside the door as you put down the food. "Yeah, what's up?"

"I'm really sorry," you looked into his eyes. "I've wanted to apologize for pushing your buttons on purpose that day since it happened, you never would've did what you did if I hadn't, and I realized that you were the only one trying to make an effort when you came by the other day," you spewed the words out, rambling in a sense. Your head fell to the ground.

Jay grabbed your hands quickly, his eyes wide and a small glimmer in his eyes. "Y/N, you don't have to apologize. I was really in the wrong, I don't blame you for anything. I'm happy you enjoy the gifts, but that wasn't me trying to make you feel like you had to make any type of effort to apologize. I don't want you to think I need to forgive you for anything, it was a two-way street with out fighting. If anything, I should be asking for your forgiveness, still-"

You squeezed his hands, shutting the man up. You looked back into his eyes with a smile. "Jongseongie, I forgave you a long time ago."

You pulled him into a hug, his arms around your waist and yours around his neck. The two of you stayed like that for a few seconds, before Jay pulled back as the two of you stared at each other.

"I like when you call me that," he breathed out in a slow sigh. You felt your face heat up in a foreign, fuzzy way.

There was a similar beating in both of your hearts. If it hadn't been for the tight hug, the two of you would never have felt it. There was an invisible line between the two of you, but it was being erased further by the second. Every second you stared into his eyes, you felt your resolve grow weaker.

Jay's hand went to your chin, his thumb lightly stroking your cheek and tilting your head upwards. His other went to your waist, holding you steady as the two of you began to close the distance.

His face inched nearer, your eyes never leaving his lips. As they got closer, your eyes closed with anticipation. "Y/N, can I k-"

"Put my sneakers on!" Chaeryeong cheered loudly as she walked up the stairs with Yuna.

Both you and Jay shoved off of each other, awkwardly grabbing the bags, bottles clinking against one another in Jay's hands and a bright red blush on both of your faces.

The two girls made it to your door at the same moment that you two had decided to look away from each other in embarrassment. "What's up with you two?" Chae questioned.

You both mumbled, "Nothing." They shrugged and held out a similar bag to you.

"Look, babe! We got some liquor for tonight, too!" Chae smiled wide.

You hugged the two of them once you pulled yourself together. "How did you guys even make it? I thought you had practice," you giggled.

Yuna held a hand around her mouth to whisper, "We snuck out!" She laughed. "Ta-da! We weren't going to just stay in the dorms when we needed to celebrate Scooby Soobie finding a boyfriend! Especially not when his boyfriend also seems really sweet," she crossed her arms.

Chae nodded in agreement, a triumphant hand flying into the air. "And two beers, a whole lot of convincing, and I guess a romantic moment ruined later, here we are!"

Jay finally spoke after standing, gobsmacked. "Aren't you two from that girl group?"

They glanced at him, their faces going pale. "This may be a problem," Yuna stated.

"No, it's not," you smiled. "He's not going to ruin his friend's party or your image, right?" You turned to Jay.

He nodded. "I'm just very confused on why there are two idols here," he added.

Chae scoffed. "And idols can't be friends with their old friends from before they debuted? We've all been best friends for years," she jokingly rolled her eyes.

Yuna clapped her hands. "I'm getting thirsty. Let's drink!" She walked into the apartment without any other instruction, everyone following her.

Jay had finished cooking the meals rather quickly, as everyone challenged Chaeryeong and Yuna to dance battles and bullied Niki and Beomgyu. The latter had formed a small bonding over being the self-proclaimed "punching bags" of their friend groups.

The entire household was now closer to shit-faced than sober, save for Beomgyu and Niki.

"Why don't you drink as much, hyung?" Niki asked Beomgyu.

He held his glass of water up. "Last time I was drunk, I tried to beat the shit out of a cardboard cutout for looking at me funny. Then, I found out it wasn't a cardboard cutout."

"Woah, hyung," Niki gasped. "You couldn't waterboard that information from me, that's so embarrassing."

"Why, you!" Beomgyu went to flick the boy, who dodged quickly.

Heeseung and Soobin had been long asleep, both falling asleep on top of your bed. Everyone was told to stay over since they were "capital-F Fucked up", but the men of the night were given bed privileges.

Keeho, who had sat out after leading his fifth round of karaoke and stand-up comedy specials, looked around and pointed at the small futon he'd pulled out of his room for the night. "Dude, look at that," he gawked.

The two boys followed his finger and locked their eyes on his target of interest. "Someone take a picture, she's going to be so pissed," Beomgyu struggled to not laugh.

Keeho and Niki took their phones out, both taking a photo.

There you and Jay were in the photo, you asleep across his lap as his hand sat where he had been playing with your hair, and him asleep with his head against the top of the seat.

Maybe there was something that invisible line had been holding back all these years, or maybe there was something the two of you had refused to admit was there the entire time. Something fuzzy and warm, something that tinted the world pink around each other, something that felt like home. It was a force much too strong to accept in the moment, but the slow steps were enough to you.

notes: hey guys, this isn't a note I want to leave. I'm sorry it took this long to get this post out, I was intending on proofing this tomorrow and posting it but I decided to do it tonight due to unfortunate circumstances. I drove two hours out from home for the week for a job that I cannot leave on a whim, and my family notified me today that both my grandmother was brought to the er yesterday and that she passed this morning. I understand why they held off on telling me, but I cannot fathom why they felt that telling me everything at once and robbing me of my last chance to tell her goodbye and that I love her would have been better for me. I lived with her for ten years and decided to become her neighbor, so although I've been letting my family think I'm taking it better than everyone else I actually can't even look at a single thing without feeling my body shut down a little and think about how I'm coming home to a house without her. I feel guilty, I feel like shit, I feel like an awful grandkid because I was one of her only two and I wasn't around to help or say goodbye. I feel guilty for enjoying my time out of town still, and I feel even guiltier for sometimes letting her passing slip my mind and forgetting she's gone. I haven't had motivation for anything since I found out, and I feel I won't have the motivation to continue this smau for a few days. I'll be taking some time away due to this unforeseen circumstance, maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks. Please forgive me for this, I know people enjoy the story and this isn't me discontinuing it!! It is still ongoing, however it may not be updated soon. Thank you for reading, I'll make the rest of the story very worth everyone's wait!!

it took me two weeks but i finished season 5!!!! because i was on holiday for some of it i assumed it would take much less, but the wifi was shit and then once i got home something in my apartment broke so i just couldnt deal

athena's storyline throughout the disaster episodes was fucking amazing though. i love her. and i love that harry had a bigger role too!! honestly, the way that dude was able to simply walk out of the courtroom was .... ridiculous but well i dont watch this show for its realism!!! but the way the storyline from the beginning of the season affected the entire grant-nash family was really great

michael and david???? hello that episode was amazing, the fire at the hospital, bobby going in and telling david that michael was going to PROPOSE!!!! i loved that episode, honestly big calls like that one are soooooo good!!! very sad that michael and david just straight up disappeared wtf

may!! i love you may. you are amazing may. you deserve the world. i loved seeing her grow and her conflict with her coworker. and I LOVED getting to know the other employees at dispatch even more, seeing their personalities shine through.

speaking of dispatch THE FUCKING BOSTON EPISODE??? i mean maddie straight up leaving and shit already affected the entire team ect and it was clear to see throughout the season but the boston episode was (to me) a kind of "maddie begins again" episode, where she slowly heals and gets back on her feet.

chimney is so fucking in love with maddie, i dont really understand why they broke up but i know they'll find their way back to each other. also. he's an AMAZING father. he loves his daughter so much and its wonderful to see. and the comeback of eli? i love that character, truly amazing to see him come back for a bit. and chim is just... SO GOOD!! he is so underrated imo but he's just an amazing friend and coworker and just kind. i know he fought with buck and whatever but thats kind of understandable imo

idk why the writers this season thought they should just make ALL of the grant-nash family go THROUGH it this season but bobby??? i felt like he was so close to relapsing so many times, i was truly afraid more than once. he cares about his team and his family so deeply. having him relive his trauma of losing his family in the fire not just with david but with MAY??? god that episode was amazing. truly. bobby nash i love you. and may calling him her dad? im sobbing. the almost relapse? wow.

this season has been really good and doing callbacks to earlier incidents and forcing characters into situations similar to previous traumas, especially with the mayday episode with both bobby and chim. when him and albert were together on that roof my heart dropped, even before albert almost fell in.

i hated lucy at the beginning but i liked her when she wasnt focused on buck. i know he's hot or whatever but you're literally hotter and can do better, please go find lena bosko and hook up. i feel like she finally became a more fleshed out character towards the end of the season and thats when i really liked her. i hope she shows up again in the next seasons, but this show seems to have the habit of forgetting some female characters exist after some time aka after they served the purpose of helping with character development for a male character (LIKE LENA FUCKING BOSKO???)

i love albert, i hope he finds something that fits him better and that he still shows up occasionally.

hen and karen truly are just *that* couple. i love them together, i love them seperately, i need karen to interact with the other members of the 118 more often. also where did hen's med school storyline go????????? im lost. anyways hen was so fucking cool this season, she was an amazing fucking friend and she was so supportive of chim and her instincts are once again right and no one should ever doubt her because she is amazing and smart and stunning and beautiful and kind and spectacular and i love her and her family. i missed her and chim together tho. i just want them back. but also i want her to mentor new paramedics, i feel like she would be amazing and at the same time would force her to learn to trust different paramedics again.

buck this season. you pissed me off when kissing lucy and then asking taylor to move in instead of confessing. but i like that he then DID tell her. but not cool. i really like that this season buck seemed to just show what good of a friend he can be. especially to eddie. also, buck didnt see his sister for like six months, i do wish we had kind of seen how that affected him a bit more. i liked his relationship with taylor, i like taylor. she is clearly more focused on her career than building a relationship and trust ect. but i dont think she's a terrible person. i think they will be better off as friends and i hope we see them interact again from time to time.

eddie. eddie. eddie. my love. i lvoe you. pls. i am VERY glad he finally had a mental breakdown and dealt with at least SOME of his trauma. he is such an asshole sometimes, i love his comebacks to his coworkers and friends. i love him and i love his love for christopher. those two love each other so much. but yes i loved seeing eddie cry this season, i loved seeing him talk about his feelings and learn and grow and i loved seeing him with his friends and new coworkers at dispatch. him and josh being frenemies is so funny to me, maddie should invite the two of them over for dinner or something and watch them interact while eating popcorn. i think she'd enjoy it. him and buck's friendship this season was everything to me, they were able to lean on each other. and when chris called buck while eddie literally trashed his room?? jesus fucking christ. i love the three of them. eddie's breakup with ana was COLD. that woman just looked after your son while you were on shift for longer than expected, you couldn't have let her go home and rest before breaking up??? please free the women of la from him. perfect breakup for gay storyline btw, but anyways. and him knowing right away that bobby was drowning in his guilt and going to drown himself in a bottle and going there to stop him? without even mentioning his suspicions. i love him learning to talk to his friends and family more about his and their feelings.

sad to know that that dude from the mayday episode has not yet shown up again in josh's life, because they would be cute together and josh deserves to have a personality outside of work.

the episode about the prison break ect was super cool and interesting. and also the episode about that bitch ass jonah. i hope he rots for hurting chim and for traumatising hen. asshole. i wish bobby had punched him some more.

anyways this season was super good and fun and i loved it especially because eddie had a breakdown this season and because so many of the 118 and friends had to learn how to cope with their ptsd or relive their trauma in different ways, it felt like it gave closure to a bunch of storylines (except for helping eddie move on from the death of his wife).

Seeing the photos from their schedules really made it hit home that he isn't there. Stoppp it hadn't even occurred to me that we won't be getting ot4 comeback for a while. I do hope that Wonsang goes soon, but you're right he's probably busy working on stuff that they can put out while he's gone. That would make most sense anyway. I think he'd maybe go around Dec/early next year? I'd imagine they'd want him to be there for award show season if they perform and then he'd go after that? I really hope Yechan and Sangyeop put out music or at least just do schedules while the others are away. Alot of the videos that I had seen when villain came out were just Yechan and Sangyeop, so I wasn't sure if that was them preparing us for how it will be over the next couple of years lol. I think they'll continue to thrive even as a duo, isn't N.Flying still doing well despite being down 3 members? (I haven't kept up to date with them, so I genuinely don't know. Wonsang's song for Holly was so cute oh my goodness. Another song like domino would be so funny. It's such a funny song, especially with the intro ahaha. Maybe he would put funny sound bites from videos of you both in the intro, from clips of you doing the most stupid things (but he finds it endearing because he is so in love with you). Oh and the bit between the verse and chorus could be him listening off things that he loves about you (in his really cute voice 🥺)

I feel like Gwangil would write such a goofy song. I definitely think he would be able to write a really emotional song like Sangyeop, but he's not gonna show you that yet (he's waiting for the right moment because he's going to ask for your hand after, I need to stop lol). I could see it being a really cheesy song or one that's filled with stupid puns because he knows that you hate them but you love him and he's going to be annoying about it. I love how you said that he's "into the bright and fun side of love", I definitely agree with that. "help me stretch," yujin reaches forward, hands open and extended out toward his groupmate and friend as he tries to lean a little deeper into a seated hamstring stretch. he feels the tug in his muscles already but he knows he can go just a little bit deeper if he just exhales and lets himself be pulled further in. every day he can go a little further... or at least continue to maintain the flexibility he already has. few things are more important for a dancer, after all.

yujin still often thinks back to his trainee days. what had he imagined being an idol would be like back then? he knew there would still be long days that started in the wee hours in the morning and kept him from his bed until late at night. he just didn't know so many of them would still be spent in a practice room, for some reason. their promotions are always over in the blink of an eye; a sprint through a few odd weeks of singing the same song and dance on the same handful of music show stages and watching the same popular idols win first place over newave's comparatively pathetic place on the charts. all yujin can do is practice. he can hope that their next song is better, that the public will finally notice them, that all their hard work will finally pay off. he hasn't yet been able to breathe that sigh of relief, to be able to say we did it; we made it.

he could worry himself into an early grave (and maybe someday he will) if he lets himself dwell on those thoughts for too long. all he can do now is throw himself into the preparations for their next comeback and hope that this time is different, that they'll finally reap the rewards of all their hard work. yujin knows no one else worries as much as he does but he does sometimes wonder if robby ever thinks of such things. his friend is so unbothered by the public and their perception. yujin envies that confidence sometimes.

"do you ever get nervous?" he wonders aloud, asking robby a question that's long been on his mind. robby knows what yujin is like; they've trained together for ages and share a room now. it goes without saying that he still gets butterflies in his stomach every time they go on stage, that he's swallowing anti-anxiety herbal supplements backstage before every fanmeeting or whenever they have to be themselves in front of a camera. jiahn is supposed to be the visual, the face of the group; yujin is still camera-shy and often falls quiet as soon as the beady eye-like lens turns to him. "i don't think i've ever seen you scared of anything."

As someone who doesn't listen to kpop apart from BTS, I am one of those people who casually listens to New Jeans. They just have a very accessible sound. But I have no idea who any of the members are and I'm not attached to them in any way like I got with BTS. I'm unsure about their future as well but I reckon if they keep churning out good music with interesting concepts they'll last but since they don't have a solid fanbase, they're one bad comeback away from losing their spot on the top

Hybe debuted another girlgroup today (illit) and they have a similar sound and style to new jeans and as expected kpop Stans are hyping them up and of course new jeans stans do not like that and are angry because they think hybe is trying to replicate new jeans. I'm curious to see what's gonna happen now that kpop stans have another group that gives them aesthetic music for their TikTok videos.

Objectively it's not like new jeans makes the best music in 4th gen, but mhj had a plan and it worked. What worked for them was how they came into the scene with something fresh and new, a new kpop sound, new roll out system, and they always seem to try a different roll out for each comeback, something to draw our attention. Mhj also depends on shock value and drama I remember linking a video about it, I think that creator was the only person that I saw explain the whole thing rationally without outrightly hating on them.

The whole lolita/p*doph*lia drama during their debut and then the whole eta thing that got people talking only for it to not even be relevant to the music video when it was finally released.

I feel like when success is hinged on always having to be one step ahead of every other group, I wonder how long you can keep that up. Especially now that there's another group that has the same sound. I know min heejin has been working hard searching for the most obscure sub genre of music for them to comeback with so the whole "they introduce new things and sound to kpop" schtick can continue 😭

I'm genuinely looking forward to their comeback just because of that. I know that woman has been working hard for them to do something "new" and "unique" just to keep that edge and I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Honestly people like min heejin and soyeon from g-idle (no shade to her, she's actually my bias) makes me feel like I could manage and direct a group's comeback and make it successful if I was given the chance and budget. It's me, google and Pinterest against the world, while I search and scour on Google and YouTube for a unique sound for my group and then I stumble across a sub genre of music that no one's ever heard of and I go to the depths of Pinterest for the most unique but aesthetic concepts, I mix and match them together with my own unique twist and voila!

MayBlade 2023 : Day 12 : Fall

Max/Mariam | FFN Rating: K | FFN Link ❖ Max would never admit that seeing a familiar flash of blue out of the corner of his eye made him do a double-take and stumble up the stairs. He would have fallen right into the seats trying to catch himself, if someone hadn't steadied him at the last second.

"Thank you! That was close!" he laughed, righting himself. When he turned to address the person who'd saved him, his mouth went dry at the sight of her.

He'd been hoping to run into Mariam from the time the tournament was announced, listening carefully for any news of the Saint Shields making a comeback. And now, here she was.

"Don't mention it," Mariam said, sliding back down into her seat. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail like he remembered – his flash of blue – and she still had the most striking eyes he'd ever seen. He'd bet money that they were greener than the rest of her teammates'. And they were so singularly focused on him that it made him blush. "I kinda owed you one."

Max furrowed his brows in confusion. "For what?"

"You save so many girls from collapsing stairs in abandoned buildings that you forget?" Mariam asked skeptically.

"Oh!" Max exclaimed as it all, instantly, came flooding back. The not-so-abandoned forest warehouse, Team Psykick's power injections, Mariam busting their machinery, and the two of them finding a way to make it out in one piece together when the building caved in on itself. "You don't owe me for that, Mariam. I'm just glad you weren't hurt."

"I guess I'll remember that next time you're about to fall flat on your face."

Max felt his cheeks getting hot again.

"I, uh, got distracted," he said, suddenly remembering that they were in a stadium full of people and he was standing in the middle of the stairs, forcing the crowd to walk around him. He slipped into Mariam's row to get out of the way. "I was looking for the guys – they're saving me a seat."

"The battle's about to start," Mariam pointed out as the lights began to dim.

Max nodded. They'd be wondering where he was at. The tournament hadn't properly started yet and today's was an exhibition match, but they'd promised to watch it together to see how their competition had improved in the past couple years. Mariam's presence proved they weren't the only ones with that idea but, as he scanned the audience, he realized something else.

"Where's the rest of your team?"

Mariam sat back in her chair and crossed her arms, her bracelets shining gold in the lights that were left. "Dunga was getting on my nerves earlier, so I came by myself. I'm sure they're here somewhere."

Max shuffled his feet, very aware that he was standing in front of the empty aisle seat to Mariam's right. And that people in the row behind her were craning their necks to see around him. And that he wasn't going to find the rest of his team before the lights went out and it would be a shame for either of them to watch the match alone. So, he sat down.

"Ditching your friends for me?" Mariam asked, a teasing lilt to her voice. "You'd better be careful or they'll think you have a crush."

The next moment the lights went out, saving Max from answering and hiding the fact that his face was probably redder than a tomato. The spotlights flicked on, swirling around the stadium before fixing in the center where DJ Jazzman stood next to a standard dish.

"Hello beyblading fans and welcome to the very first exhibition match of the BBA's Beyblading World Championships!"

The stadium erupted into thunderous applause and Max felt a nostalgic excitement swelling in his chest. It had been a long time since he'd sat in a stadium, waiting for the World Championships to begin. Not only was he eager to compete with the Bladebreakers again and test his mettle against the fiercest competition around, but he got to watch them all compete against one another, too. New friends and old friends.

In some ways, it felt like the first time he'd ever watched a match live. He felt the same fire he'd felt then. The same desire to pick up his blade and find a tough opponent. He glanced over at Mariam; she was leaning forward in her seat, looking just as eager as he felt. He hoped their chance to battle came sooner, rather than later.

"Tonight's match will have you seeing double! We're starting off strong with a pairs battle!" Jazzman cried, sending a buzz of anticipation rippling through the crowd.

The bladers competing in the exhibitions were supposedly a varied group, with some selected from BBA teams and others making special appearances even though they weren't competing this time around. Kenny had spent hours the night before trying to dig up information on who was going to be participating, but it was such a well-kept secret that he hadn't been able to figure it out. A pairs battle would've made him even more curious.

"Our first duo turned the competition on its head with their tag-team finesse in their tournament debut. And after spending the BBA's hiatus with their circus family, they've decided to run away with the World Championships once again! Give it up for Julia and Raul!"

Max applauded along with the crowd as the stadium floor opened up and Raul and Julia appeared. They were beaming and waving to the audience and it was several minutes before the cheers died down enough for Jazzman to introduce the next team.

"Our next pair may be less colorful, but they're no less skilled!"

A flash of light to his left caught Max's eye and he turned to see Sharkrash's bit gleaming in Mariam's hand. She had a white-knuckled grip on her blade and was staring out at the dish with her jaw set. And just like that, something clicked in Max's memory and he knew exactly who was going to be announced.

"Put your hands together for King and Queen!"

The audience was quieter for King and Queen's entrance, but there was still plenty of applause from those who weren't familiar with their dubious history. It was proof of how much the sport had grown in recent years.

Beside Max, Mariam was sitting stiffly. Her fingertips were white where her attack ring was biting into them. Max reached over and laid a gentle hand on her arm. Her head whipped around and he was once again on the receiving end of her piercing gaze.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Now remember: this match is a friendly exhibition! The outcome won't affect the tournament standings, but might leave our competitors with some grudges to battle it out over later." Jazzman raised his hand over his head and King, Queen, Julia, and Raul readied their launchers.

The stadium counted down as one: "3… 2… 1… Let it rip!"

All four beyblades landed in the dish and the battle began.

Right away Max noticed that both teams were using attack patterns he recognized from previous battles. Kenny and Dizzi would note if there was a difference in power output, but it looked like they were taking special care not to reveal any new tricks too early in the competition. It made sense.

Max had every intention of keeping his eyes on the battle regardless. It turned out to be harder than he anticipated with Mariam beside him and he spent as much time watching her reaction to the battle as he did watching the battle itself. And just looking at her in general (she had four new piercings in the ear he could see and a crease appeared between her eyebrows every time Queen went on the offensive).

"Who do you think will win?" he asked after the battle had gone on for a few minutes.

King and Queen landed a powerful barrage attack that made half the audience cheer and the other half boo. Mariam frowned.

"I know who I want to win."

"Julia and Raul are some of the best tag-team bladers out there," Max said, quickly losing his train of thought when Mariam turned away from the battle, for the first time, to look at him while he spoke. She was even prettier than he remembered.

She raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue.

He blushed and looked stubbornly in the direction of the battle, willing any more unbidden thoughts away. "They've taken on tougher opponents than King and Queen and won. I'm sure they can do it again."

Mariam didn't answer. When F-Dynasty called out their bitbeasts, King and Queen followed suit, and Max watched the reflections of them in her eyes.

He couldn't blame Mariam for harboring a grudge against Queen after the way their last battle had panned out. Max wasn't a vengeful person, but he didn't regret shredding Queen's blade once she'd torn Mariam's to smithereens, either. That might have had something to do with the illegal part she was using that backfired. It might have also had something to do with Mariam.

Now that he was going to see her almost daily for the duration of the tournament, he might be forced to unpack that possibility soon.

Max tuned back into the battle just in time to watch King and Queen set up a move to target F-Dynasty while they were separated in the dish. If he'd been watching, he would have recognized when Queen transferred energy into King's beyblade with her own. Before anyone knew what was happening, Uriel was knocking Torch Pegasus out of the dish.

But Queen had made a mistake in hanging back, watching King make his move and leaving herself wide open – Julia sent Thunder Pegasus straight for Gabriel and soon it was just King and Julia left in the game.

"Looks like it's anyone's battle," Mariam observed as the two blades circled each other.

"It can't go on much longer," Max said, leaning over so Mariam could hear him over the increasing volume of the crowd. "Neither of them have a lot of energy left."

Right after he said it, the beyblades collided for one final, winner-take-all attack. There was an explosion of light and a loud crack that must have been the dish itself splitting. When the dust settled, Torch Pegasus was spinning proudly in the middle of it.

"And F-Dynasty takes it!"

The applause and cheers were deafening this time as the entire stadium leapt to their feet to celebrate, not only Julia's victory, but the official start to their first World Championship Tournament since the BEGA fiasco. Max cheered along, eyes glued to the satisfied smirk on Mariam's face.

His fingers were itching for his ripcord by the time everything died down and the spectators began filing out. He wanted to ask Mariam for a battle, but bit his tongue. The guys were probably already looking for him. It would have to wait.

"C'mon, Max," Mariam said, as the people in their row began trying to squeeze past.

They stood up to make their way out of the stadium. It wasn't long before Max turned to say something to Mariam and found that they'd lost each other in the flow of the crowd climbing the stairs to the exit. Or maybe she'd just disappeared on him. It wouldn't be the first time.

Max sighed and continued up, a weird sense of melancholy settling over him. It was great to see Mariam again, but he wished they'd had more time to talk about things other than the battle. Lost in his thoughts, he was almost the whole way to the top of the stairs when he heard someone calling his name.

"Hey, Max!" A hand holding a familiar baseball cap waved above the crowd and, soon enough, Tyson appeared on the stair above him. People nearby were pointing and talking excitedly, but he didn't seem to notice. "Where were you, buddy? We saved you a seat."

"I'm sorry," Max said sheepishly. He hoped the flush he could feel on his cheeks could be attributed to the tight press of the crowd. "I couldn't find you guys."

"We were right where we said we'd be," Hilary said, appearing at Tyson's side. She had a hold of Kenny's suspenders so he didn't get lost to the masses and he was clutching Dizzi in both arms in case someone bumped into him.

"Maybe he's turning antisocial like Kai," Daichi said, elbowing his way through what looked to be a couple holding hands. "He didn't sit with us either."

"Do you guys think we should get out of the way?" Ray asked, bringing up the rear.

Right at that moment, a large group pushed their way past, forcing them all up against the railing dividing the stairs down the center. Max grabbed a hold of it to steady himself, then immediately spun around to apologize when he realized someone's hand was already there. He nearly lost his footing again when he saw whose it was.

"Mariam!"

"Better watch where you're going this time, Max," she said, grabbing his hand and returning it to the railing as his friends watched in stunned silence. "Wouldn't want you to fall before we get the chance to have our rematch."

Then she walked away before any of them could ask about the rest of the Saint Shields. Tyson was complaining about it and Kenny was explaining to Daichi who she was. Max was watching her go until he could no longer see her electric blue ponytail cutting a path through the crowd.

It was possible, he thought as his team finished their ascent, that he'd already fallen.

interestingly in namjoon’s suchwita episode he mentioned that he’d start preparing for ot7 comeback while the rest are completing their enlistment but i wonder how true that is if he’s still here. i don’t think they’re all leaving by the end of this year that’s too close together for four more members. yoongi also mentioned his desire to tour in 2025 so perhaps they’ll announce one and then release an album after. their last real tour after all was the one that got cancelled. what matters the most is that they’re not pacing themselves like they’ve been doing before. they really need to find a sustainable balance so their burnout periods aren’t as harsh as the ones they’ve experienced. i’m a tae bias and i’ve noticed many times how he’s mentioned having to sacrifice for the team i just hope their conditions are so that there’s less of a need for that to happen again because if not i’d hardly call that healthy growth then

Hi anon! I think Namjoon's plans changed at one point and he first planned to enlist at the same time Hobi did... so that would have been a possibility back then.

I think Namjoon might be next, and there is ofcourse a possibility of Tae, Jk and Jimin going (close)together at the end of the year. Once December comes, they'll all be done with promo, so they might? But the winter is a bad time to start because of the weather so I'm kinda hoping they'll make it spring.. I hate to think of them enlisting in the cold.

I think everyone has had to sacrifice for the team, but some probably more than others. Yoongi talked about Tae being able to sing comfortably now, but I also think Tae sees the things he's gained from having to comply at times. I feel Tae's album has shown us that he has creative freedom (to a certain extent ofcourse), and that'sa good thing. I absolutely hope they negotiated good terms, but I feel they had good bargaining grounds... so I am hopefull.

I like that they give 2025 as a date so it feels concrete. However, that also feels like alot of pressure to have a set date for a group comeback....... It seemed possible when YG asked fans to submit names for an official unit name for HyunHaYo a few months ago but since then we haven't heard anything yet. Haruto told us today that the demo is on Hyunsuk's computer so Hyunsuk probably made the song again like the last two times so you know it'll be amazing 🔥 (I've been listening to Escapism by RAYE and 070 Shake and I would love for HyunHaYo to try something like that)

Also, on the subject of units, I need an official Jeongwoo x Haruto debut 🙏 Again, I've been listening to Creepin' by Metro Boomin, The Weeknd and 21 Savage and I just know they would ace this concept 💯 Jeongwoo's soulful voice and Haruto's deep rap voice 👌 + Can you imagine the MV? I (as was everyone else) was expecting them to go on a world tour with REBOOT but now it seems that that was never the plan. A concert hall in the Philippines i think it was announced Treasure will have a concert there in August or September so it seems like after REBOOT tour in Japan ends in March, they'll first release an album in the summer and do an Asia tour after that.

When YG annouced that Treasure signed with an American label last year for promotions in America, I was so sure the world tour would be in 2024 but now it seems America and Europe will have to wait another year 😭 I don't even care anymore YG please just let me see them at least once 🙏 I will pay you so much money please just let me see them live at least once 🙏🙏🙏

South Dakota State: 2022 NCAA Division I FCS National Champions

FRISCO, Texas -- A different Dakota is celebrating a national championship nearly two decades after the border-state rivals moved up together to the Division I level.

"I continue to think back in 2004 and wondering how it was going to work out. Well, this is pretty sweet how it's worked out," coach John Stiegelmeier said after South Dakota State won its first Football Championship Subdivision title Sunday.

Mark Gronowski threw three touchdowns and ran 51 yards for another score as the Jackrabbits won 45-21 win over North Dakota State, which lost for the first time in its 10 FCS title game appearances since the move from NCAA Division II.

As a true freshman two seasons ago, Gronowski tore the ACL in his left knee on the opening series of the Football Championship Subdivision title game. Now nearly 20 months after a loss in that unprecedented spring finale, and after the quarterback missed the entire 2021 season, the Jackrabbits (14-1) beat their border-state rival for the biggest prize in coach John Stiegelmeier's 26th season at his alma mater.

"It's really a storybook ending for us,'' Gronowski said.

"We made a memory,'' Stiegelmeier said. "I live through our players and I always will, always have. And so my joy is great today because their joy is great.''

Amar Johnson rushed for 126 yards and Isaiah Davis had 119 for his ninth 100-yard game this season, and both scored touchdowns for South Dakota State. Gronowski, who completed 14 of 21 passes for 223 yards, had his scoring run on the third play of the second half to stretch the lead to 38-14.

"We knew NDSU was going to fight until the end of the game, and we knew that we had to come out in the second half and just start fast, score early,'' Gronowski said. "That's what we did there on that play.''

Cam Miller was 17-of-26 passing for 256 yards with two TDs and two interceptions for the Bison (12-3), who went from Fargo to Frisco for the 10th time in 12 seasons.

"So tough to lose,'' Bison coach Matt Entz said. "Not something we like to do, not something we're going to make a habit of at NDSU. But I'm more concerned about our players right now. … They'll bounce back, I know that.''

The Jackrabbits have won the past four meetings between the Missouri Valley Football Conference rivals, all in less than two years. The previous three had been in regular-season games for the Dakota Marker trophy that wasn't up for grabs in the MLS soccer stadium nearly 1,000 miles from the border of their states. It was their 114th meeting since 1903, but only the fifth in the FCS playoffs and first in the championship game.

South Dakota State's only previous FCS title game appearance was a last-minute loss to Sam Houston State in May 2021 after the lower-division season was pushed back to the spring because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Jackrabbits beat NDSU in that abbreviated regular season, then again later that fall before a 23-21 win last October after overcoming a 21-7 halftime deficit in the Fargodome.

Johnson's 32-yard TD run broke a 7-all tie early in the second quarter. The Jackrabbits got the ball right back when Steven Arrell stripped the ball from running back Kobe Johnson, and Dalys Beanum recovered it at the Bison 34. Gronowski hit wide-open Jaxon Janke for an 18-yard TD four plays later -- Janke also had a 30-yard TD catch in the fourth quarter.

There was an exchange of 44-yard touchdown passes right before halftime. On third-and-1, Gronowski went forward as if he was going to try to run for the first down when he instead stopped for the line and threw to Mike Morgan all alone behind the entire defense.

"It means the world to me. And I've got to thank every single person that has helped me along this journey and the guys who played an awesome game,'' Gronowski said of his comeback from injury to being the game's most outstanding player and winning a championship. "There's no better feeling in the world.''

North Dakota State: The Bison have a 44-4 record in the FCS playoffs, and missed a chance to match the record of 45 wins by Georgia Southern, which is now playing at the FBS level. They have only 14 losses overall since 2011, when they won the first of their record nine FCS titles, and six of those losses are to South Dakota State -- no other team has multiple wins over NDSU in that span.
