In german, slugs were definitely named after snails, otherwise the name couldn't be "naked snail" (Nacktschnecke). Besides that they're also just a type of snail and I definitely couldn't find the word a word for it on the old and middle high german dictionaries i looked at, which both had old words for snails.
Anyways, they're naked snails and someone named them that at some point, which was probably after the 15th century. Compared to "Schnecke" as in snail which has germanic roots, which you can kind of tell because the english and german words share similarities. Especially when the "sch" part wasn't written in german and it was "snecke" in mhg and "sneggo", "snekko" or "snecko" in ohg. Also "Schnecke" was masculine in both ohg and mhg but feminine in nhg so... transed your snails.

something interesting i realized while on the vessel-making screen in the deltarune introduction is that it's physically impossible to make kris: there is no hair that perfectly matches theirs (none have the cowlick or the right jagged shape on the bottom), and there is no sweater that perfectly matches theirs (none have a single stripe). this is fascinating, as it perhaps suggest that, if we (the player) had a choice, we *wouldn't* make kris. they aren't something we want, or are even capable of wanting, rather something we're stuck with.
and i suppose the fact that they can't be *created* as a vessel is telling, because we didn't create kris -- they weren't made for us, they're not a player avatar. they're a pre-existing person we just happen to gain possession of.
we weren't made for each other; they don't want us, and we don't seem to want them either (if the inability to choose to create someone like them says anything); funny, then, that in a way we're "soulmates"...
(both pictures are from the deltarune wiki!)

If Leander and Sen are both a category of undead (Leander-a necromancer or Lich//Sen - a reanimated corpse) then I think it would be like a root, sprouting in two different ways. Sen’s would explore the storyline of dealing with grief, terminal illness themes, the price of immortality (negatively) and the value of medical consent. Whereas Leander will explore the loneliness of immortality, power hunger/greed, and the ideas of heroism and how they can be perverted/skewed to your own ideals and you essentially "lose the plot" of your code

It's weird to think that with Jordana being a teenager in the middle of a revenge journey and Cinder being an adult who is at most 20 years old who likes to beat up kids, that leaves Jay as the second oldest (probably the less... immature if you compare him to the other two) in the Wolf Clan after the 60-year-old tiger.

dude if kh ends ill. probably cry lmaoo. but also. fandoms continue after their thing is finished dont they?? like. 10 years after its done ppl will still talk abt it?? i hope so at least
given that the kh fandom has survived several massive droughts over the years at this point i think it's unkillable. some of my mutuals on here are from like the ice age of kingdom hearts and still alive and blogging the exact way they always did. it won't be a huge fandom but even now with the series still being alive the fandom isn't as big as it once was in its heyday. but those of us here are incredibly loyal. and the nature of any long-running thing is that people carry it with them over the course of many years and it'll become impossible to drop it once it does end. but! it truthfully all depends on How it ends if you ask me. if it's a trainwreck a lot of people might abandon it out of resentment. if it's good or even mediocre as an ending it'll have its fans throughout eternity

Maybe it’s bad to hyper-fixate on one actor but I am so excited for Joe Keery to have bigger roles. I think he’s so great in Fargo this season and I look forward to his upcoming 2024 and post ST slate. It’s high time he’s been cast in some big tentpole films. He leans indie in his choices, which I respect, but dude. Put him in Greta Gerwig’s Narnia. Make him a knight. Put him in a sequel to the DnD movie that came out this year. Make him a cute bartender that’s thrown into a secret plot to steal government info because he’s in the wrong place wrong time. Father son drama. Road trip movie where he falls in love. I could go on….
