sweetest con

lN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, WITH A cigarette in hand while a glass of whiskey on the other, the burning flame under the chimney entertained the freshly arrived soldier waiting for his wife.
The entrance croaked open summoning a beautiful lady who seemed to be hazy from her previous in took of alcohol. There was a frustrated frown on her face as she tries her best to take off her heels while closing the door.
"Where have you been, wife?" The husband's familiar voice stole her attention. Once she looked up and realized it was her husband who she has been dying to see for weeks, a smile instantly crept up on her cherry tinted lips.
"Oh my, you're home!" She couldn't help but drop everything and run into his arms. Squealing in excitement of feeling him in her arms again.
This happens every single time he comes home. He should be used to it by now. But he isn't. That wave of warmth inside him still activates whenever she does this. So eager to hold him, see him, smiling so brightly as if he was her world, her home, her salvatore.
He couldn't help but close his eyes as their body met. Their body exchanging heat was a comfort they've always missed. As she lock his neck around her arms, her hands crawling their way onto his hair on its own, his arms finding her back to pull her close.
"I missed you."
She smiled and marked a warm kiss on his cheek. "I missed you more, Si."
Simon always bring his cold and stoic stance from work, but he built a specific one for the cause of her gone missing when he arrived. But she was a devil woman that with just one kiss, one pet name, one word, his walls were gone melting.
Her magic curled a tiny smile on his rosy lips. Her shiny eyes staring back at him burning his guard down little by little. He tucked a string of hazel hair behind her ear. Before turning his gaze on the shoes she left on the ground.
"Someone's been out, hm?"
She exhaled as she settled in his lap and lean on his chest. "Yeah, Nat and I were out for a bit." She looked up to meet his eyes through her lashes.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here when you got home." He could truly see that she was sorry through her voice and expression. Her lips were slightly turning into a pout and her eyes were gleaming from the fire. She was precious to look at.
Before he could answer, she cut him off by placing a kiss on his lips, his eyes closing and deeply exhaling just as her fingers run through his hair. He was supposed to be cold but he was a sucker for her touch and affection.
As they pulled in synch, he tried to focus. But her intoxicating scent wasn't helping. He tried to circle back on his concern. He was a soldier damn it. Luckily, when her scent came laced with alcohol, he succeeded.
"Where have you been, luv?"
"Nat brought us in a club." She studied his face, from his short hair, dark brows, little scars that she covers with kisses, to his nose and sexy lips. She avoided his eyes. He was staring at her as if they were in an interrogation.
"Got drunk clubbing, hm?" She helped him put his bourbon aside before leaning back on his warm hard chest. Wrapping his free arm around her waist on her own to play with his fingers, another way of avoiding his intimidating gaze.
"Just a little." She murmured. His brows were slightly meeting as he watch her curl in his lap, her adorableness tugging a tiny smile on his lips.
"Did someone try to flirt with my beautiful princess?" He drew a blush on her cheeks and an adorable scowl.
"No. Even if there was, I wouldn't let them." There was a hint of smug in her delivery that made him chuckle.
"Wouldn't let them, huh?" He leaned down on her and caressed the side of her face to make her meet his eyes.
"And if I try to flirt with you?" Their close proximity was making her heart beat fast. She became nervous. As if they weren't married for years.
"My clothes will disappear." She said with pure honesty that it made him grin and scoff a laugh.
He smirked and pulled her closer, his big hands brushing up and down her back, pulling her to leave a kiss on her forehead. "I love you." She mumbled, eyes shut from his rare display of affection.
"Love' you so fuckin' much." He mumbled, lids down while inhaling her scent that only sensed like home. She was the only thing that could calm his whole system down. What ever it is that he did to deserve her must've been something divine.
She has never felt safer anywhere else than in his arms. His was the only cage she was more than willing to be chained forever.
They stayed glued together on the couch for a while. Listening to the rustling flame, finishing his cigarette while she fought her heavy lids putting her down to sleep. It was a peace Simon deserved after a draining mission. The dancing flame under the bricks was the only entertainment around, her head tucked under his chin made her hair close to his face filling his nose with the scent of her shampoo, while she inhaled his smell, the manly scent she misses so much.
They later on decided to prepare for bed, both too tired to eat. Their tangled picture on the couch previously was recreated on their bed. "How was the mission?" She mumbled while watching his chest rise and fall.
"Draining." He replied, the vibration of his chest and his steady heart beat making her feel secured.
"You must be tired." She brushed her palm on his chest. His muscles slowly relaxing as he lets her. Letting her brush the tension and stress from work away.
He sighed. "Just glad to be home with you."
"Me too. It's always lonely without you here."
"I know." He tucks away her hair softly, touching her carefully as if she was delicately fragile.
"I hate leaving you. Always." A sketch of furrowed brows was on his face as he recall every moment of receiving a call for deployment, when he leaves while she's peacefully asleep, or when she tries her best to hold back tears when she deliver him away to the door.
"I hate that you leave me either." She chuckles her pain away.
He carries her up to sit her on his lap. "I don't like you being alone here either." He explains as he tucks more hair away, watching her bare face stare back at him. "Hate it knowing you're all by yourself in this empty house. Makes me fuckin' worried."
"Hmm.. I know. It always worry me, thinking if you'll ever even come back." She confessed, looking down on her fingers. Then looking back up to meet his brown eyes when courage arrived.
"Thank you for always coming back home to me, Simon." Her eyes fluttered, looking right into his eyes as she appreciates him. He was so fucking confuse how he managed to have a woman like her marry him. Meaning those words to her heart as if he deserved someone to worry and wait for him to come back, not to die in the battlefield of war.
"I'll never stop coming back to you, for as long as I can. You're my whole world, love. You don't know how much I'm willing to do anything for you."
"I love you so much." He whispered to her as he closed the gap between their faces. Capturing her lips and letting them linger against each other before slowly pulling away. "I love you more."
"Impossible." He says as he lay them down, letting her nuzzle into his embrace like a kitten under the sheets.
He pulls her even closer, not wanting to leave any spaces between their bodies before settling down and lean on her shoulders to rain them with soft kisses. She felt so safe yet so fragile against him. His warmth replacing the cold bed she forces herself to sleep on before, now drives her to slumber easier than blinking.

16!
16. Favourite football chant?
I also got this one for an anon, so here’s an answer for both of you!
It’s also going to be sort of weird because it’s specific to my local club. I mean, okay, like, 50.000 people singing Hand in Hand in De Kuip is always going to be sort of amazing, right. Like...here is a video of the stadium FULL OF PEOPLE watching an away match on the giant screen in the middle of the field and singing. Like there aren’t even actual players on the pitch, but yet....
There’s also the whole “You’ll Never Walk Alone” thing, but I honestly think Liverpool has far more rights to it than Feyenoord does. But also sometimes your team beats Ajax 1 - 0 in the 90+4 minute and then the whole stadium around you does this and it’s a lovely, lovely song.
But! My team. This team...”This f*cking team” as we like to refer to them. I mean, okay, Wonderwall is definitely not our song. Okay, but it became the anthem of the the people. The anthem of a club that shouldn’t even have existed and came back to win the league. To grab hold of a place and not let go. Supporters and players and everyone coming together to believe, and we meant it when we all cheered at each other “you’re gonna be the one that saves me” because we all did save one another.
Still. I don’t think of Wonderwall as a chant. We only sang it after matches. We sang it to the players as they came over to us. The players sang it to us as we all rushed the ad hoardings after a win deep in the playoffs. The players sang it to one another in the dressing room after their wins.
That said, it’s the song they all transition to in the end of these videos that is my favourite chant. “I Wanna Be NSC”. And okay, yeah, I’m a punk rock girl at heart, and I love the Sex Pistols. But this song means a lot to me. For context, the NSC referenced in the song is the National Sports Center where the team played their matches until they moved to the MLS this year. It’s tiny and weird and uncomfortable and I love it so much. On top of that, the 2011 team was league owned/owned by the National Sports Center so the team name was officially “NSC Minnesota Stars”. So what we were chanting when we chanted “I wanna be NSC” is that we wanted to be a part of this team. That we wanted it and we were here and we were all in it together.
They still chant it today even though the team has a new name and new fans and a new home and a new league and probably not that many people get the reference. For the whole experience (albeit the sterile, non-interesting MLS experience because it’s the only thing I can find a video of) you can watch this and start at 1:08.
youtube
I will love that team always and forever, and while the supporters group you see pictured here and I have long since had a falling out, I will still always sing this song along with them from my seat comfortably on the other side of the pitch from wherever they are.

& # 39; The second half was great , thank you football. This type of emotion is impossible without football. Thank you to the fans, those who believed in us and achieve this is fantastic. It is hard to describe in words.
& # 39; about the game that when you work and when you feel love, it's not stress, it's a passion. We showed that tonight.
& # 39; It was a pleasure to watch this type of game, difficult for Ajax, to compete at this level in this competition this can happen and I am so
19 year girl from Ajax, born in the United States of America. -old captain Matthijs from Ligt sent a powerful header past Tottenham keeper Hugo Lloris after just five minutes to increase the Ajax advantage from the first leg to 2-0.
And shortly after Son Heung-min hit the post, Ajax doubled their lead with a beautiful strike by Hakim Ziyech after a pass from Southampton playmaker Dusan Tadic.
Pochettino reacted by swapping midfielder Victor Wanyama for striker Fernando Llorente on the interval to pursue three out of goals spearhead.

okay, so since i drew up an icon yesterday, i will probably start working on the bio pages and stuff.. sometime soon idk
anyway, the order will probably be something like this:
ajax
jax
amax (possibly? they’re not exactly a major character)
alej
spook
bex
grim
ruby
autumn
meril
their bios are all outlined in a document i have, but i need to type them out in posts on here and correct some things since the document is from shortly after i came up with alej and the info is (more than) a little outdated
at some point, i may start posting little writing segments about them (it’ll likely be alej and jax, since they’re the easiest for me to write for some reason? anyway heres wonderwall)
~admun
#admun post#upd8s i guess#additionally i should probably start getting my shit together and actually do stuff instead of lazing about like a LUMP OF BREAD#but thats highly unlikely#i dont actually know if 'admun post' is my admin post tag shit#i may seem terribly unexcited but BELIEVE YOU ME I AM NOT#i will have tea and then watch voltron and try to fix my shit

alone together
SHE WAS JUMPING OFF HER FEET in the beat of the deafening music, reaching waves of people in the festival.
She was singing her lungs out at the same time with the hundreds of people singing along with the singer above the stage.
They were behind the crowd piling up in the front. They had their own space, almost near the parking lot. Making their spot a quiet place for the both of them yet hearing the music loud enough for her to join, sing, and dance.
Natasha took a sip of beer as she watched her girlfriend have the time of her life. She was in awe of her cheeks flushing from excitement and big, wide smiles as she swayed.
Both hands were up in the air as she gave her applause. Before catching her breath with a sigh and turning to look at her ginger woman.
"Thank you for coming with me, love."
"Anything for you, doll."
She wore a cheeky smile and ran to trap Natasha's waist and bury her face on her chest. She inhaled her scent, and it relaxed her hyped system down.
It caused a smirk from Natasha as she rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. “Tired yet? ”
“A bit.” She lifted her face and met her eyes, scrunching her nose at her.
“Drink water.” Nat was about to reach for the bottle of water, but she snatched the beer out of Natasha's hands and chugged it down.
“I said water,” Nat scolded as she watched her face scrunch from the beer's taste. Natasha only received an adorable giggle and a warm hug as her girl buried her face on her chest again.
“I love you.” She heard her whisper along with a sniff. Natasha frowned at the sound she made. She cupped her face to gently make her girlfriend look up to her.
“I love you more,” Natasha whispered as she tucked away a few strands of her hair on her face and continued to stare at each feature of her beautiful girl. “What’s the matter, baby? ”
She had flushed cheeks and a red runny nose from sobbing softly. Her long, thick lashes were moistened from her crystal tears. “I just...” She whimpered softly while Natasha watched her face in awe and concern as to why she was crying. Nat had always found it heartbreaking to see her cry, no matter the reason.
“I feel so lucky you chose me.”
It was the first time Natasha was caught off guard. She was a bit bewildered at the random thought she had and, at the same time, overwhelmed that the woman she cherishes the most looks at her that way.
“Oh, honey, I should be saying that.”
“No, no, Nat, I know you think that you’re incapable of being worthy of someone’s love, but I think the extreme opposite. Out of all people who deserve to be taken care of, loved, and cherished, it’s you. Please. Please, never let go.”
They say people are most honest when they’re drunk, and Natasha’s woman has always been one of those people. Aside from the prophecy, her tears running in rivulets, her hoarse voice singing words sweeter than honey that were able to stick something on Nat’s throat that was only an indication of her on the edge of tears.
“You are such a good, incredible woman who is so gorgeous, and you chose me.”
“And you’re an Avenger! ”Her girlfriend dipped her face onto her chest and sobbed harder. It made Natasha chuckle and look up to disguise and fight the tears that were threatening to fall.
“And that’s with three bottles of beer, huh? ”Natasha tried to kid as she composed herself before trying to lift her girlfriend’s chin to make her look her in the eye.
“I’m being serious.” She frowned at her joke while Nat chuckled a little bit more gentler now as she softly wiped her tears with her thumbs.
“I know, I know. Iyubov moya, hush now; you know I hate seeing you cry.” It was easy to surrender to Natasha. It was and always has been easy to stay calm, comfortable, and cozy when you’re in the arms of your loving woman, and so they stayed in their position of hugging one another.
So you're on the prowl wondering whether
She left already or not.
Leather jacket, collar popped like Cantonna
Never knowing when to stop
Sunglasses indoors, par for the course
Lights on the floors and sweat on the walls
Cages and poles...
The low base strum of the guitar and chill beat of the drums felt like the number one anthem for a slow dance as the two spent the silence on the air appreciating one’s existence.
It was her favorite band, and Natasha knew. She always does. She’s always aware of everything about the woman. She rocked their bodies from left to right romantically slowly. They kept a calm pace of swaying surely until the melody ended, which gave her the courage to tiptoe and steal a warm kiss from the lips of the widow.
Natasha’s initial response was to deepen the kiss. Their cherry lips colliding was the cue for the fireworks to shine and explode in the night sky. They were unbothered by the noise; they kept kissing and pulling one another as if they were just never too close enough.
Her hands found Natasha’s hair and jaw, where her hands kept roaming. Meanwhile, Natasha had a grip on the back of her neck to angle her woman’s pretty face just right as her other hand was capturing her tight ass.
Nothing could stop them, not even the festival’s noise of celebration or the fireworks’ explosion up in the air. Only when they had to catch air, only then they stopped and let their foreheads touch as they panted in sync.
“Wanna continue this back home? ”Natasha asked boldly, for her hunger was brought to life by their passionate kiss. She chuckled at Nat before nodding.
“Won’t the team be there? ”
“Nope, we’re alone together tonight. I get to solo you for the rest of the night.”
One last quick peck on the lips was stolen from Natasha before she guided her to ride on the bike and drove back to the compound.

lowkey
“I WISH TO SEE YOUR LOVELY SMILE.” Wanda had heard from the wonderful mind of her clandestine significant other who sat across her. She knew Wanda could read her mind or hear her thoughts, which is why she whispered little cheers for her. While the Secretary of State discussed the accords that half of the Avengers seemed to disagree with.
She knows what Wanda's going through right now, and she wants nothing but to be there for her. Wanda forced a little smile for her to assure her she was fine. Before she looked away to read a book Ross had handed them.
She was solely focused on Wanda. She was watching how her expressions changed as she read the book before handing it to Natasha. She didn’t care about the material everyone was frowning on and passed it to Steve when he asked for it.
“Everything okay? ” She asked Wanda in her mind. When Wanda looked at her, she met Wanda's gaze with worry. She subtly shook her head, indicating that she didn’t know.
In a world where saving people could paint you as the hero and the enemy at the same time, where chaos and battles are the muse of the system, they could only find peace and order in each other’s company.
Perhaps no one in the room truly knows what’s between the two of them. Perhaps it’s forbidden, or it may not be. But the holy truth is that they do not care for it.
To feel, to hold, to cry, and to laugh beside one another is all they care about. For as long as the world can only bring anything but unkind nature to them, they will always lean on and seek each other.
The meeting was left with an indefinite answer, which Secretary Ross and the United Nations wished for them to create a smart and cooperative decision.
Everyone was gathered in the living room. They were scattered around to discuss the proposal of leaders from different nations. Yet she was only worried that Wanda was blaming herself for an inevitable incident.
She sat in between Vision and Wanda. The atmosphere was getting heated the more the group dove into the conflict they were challenged to solve. Meanwhile, Wanda listened to what the veterans had to say, while her girlfriend was busy watching and playing with her slender hands. Entwining their fingers and placing them in between their thighs to hide them from everyone's view.
Wanda was used to her gestures like this one, and so she wasn't fazed as she absorbed the points everyone had to point out. Finally, she was all caught up.
“You're saying they'll come for me.”
“I wouldn't let them. I will protect you.” Wanda gazed at her as she squeezed her hand three times and gave her a reassuring smile.
“We all will protect you.” Vision had commented on the side as they continued to exchange thoughts.
She rubbed Wanda's hands with her thumb as they continued the discussion until Steve left. “I have to go.”
Everyone followed after Steve to attend their respective errands.
The look Tony gave Wanda before asking Vision to talk in private did not escape her sight. They spent the whole afternoon in Wanda's room as she remained suspicious of it. Eventually, she had to chase Natasha to borrow a car for the late-night drive she planned.
“Nat?”
“Yeah?”
“Where are you going? ”
“Attend a conference. Why? ”
“Can I borrow a car? ”
“Sure.” Natasha tossed her keys before leaving.
“Thanks.” She ran back upstairs to see Vision cooking and Wanda tasting it.
“Spirit lifted.”
She stood by the hall as she watched the two exchange laughter. Something inside her spiked and poked her, and it felt close to pain. And anger. She shook her head to get those thoughts out of her head before having the courage to steal their attention.
“Hey, Wands, ready? ”
“Oh, yes. I'm sorry.” Wanda immediately went to her. Something about watching Vision frown upon Wanda coming to her instead of him was satisfying.
“Apologies, but may I know where you're going? ”
None of your business. “Don't worry, Vis; I just want to show her something. We'll be quick.” She didn't even bother to hear what he had to say and carried Wanda away with her, hand in hand.
Wanda didn't protest, and she let her drag her away. “I heard that,” she remarked.
“Surprising.” She scoffed as she played with the keys.
Wanda frowned at her attitude. “What's wrong, darling? ”She was supposed to ignore it, but Wanda made them stop walking and made her face her.
“Talk to me properly. You're not letting me into your head. I can't understand.”
“Nothing's wrong.” She avoided her gaze as she denied the truth.
“I'm not asking again.” Wanda took her hand back harshly and crossed her arms.
“Fine. It's.. it's Vision.. and you.”
“What's wrong with Vision and me? ”
“Nothing! See? Nothing wrong. Let's go.”
“Are you jealous? ”Wanda squinted at her when she finally put the puzzle pieces together.
She puffed air as an act of dismissing her accusation. “No. I'm not.” Me? Jealous of a synthezoid? No way.
“Darling, you are jealous . ” Wanda smiled to hide her laughter at her charming girl.
She rolled her eyes. “Yeah? What if I am? ”
“I like it. Even though you have nothing to be jealous of.”
“I was trying all day to lift your mood, but with him, one paprika, and you're all giggling like a little girl,” she frowned. Now that she thought about it, it actually hurt.
“Oh, baby, you have no idea how calm you've made me the entire day.” Wanda had cupped her face for her to directly look into her emerald eyes. “I have been on edge all day, and you've kept me sane.” And there it was; her lovely smile had finally shown up, and it was beautifully contagious.
Wanda looking so pretty and smiling while staring into her eyes made her knees weak and her cheeks pink. “You have to stare at me like that? ”
“Like what? ”
“Like you want to kiss me.” Wanda let out a wholehearted laugh. It was a scene to behold. She watched the redhead with shiny eyes, appreciating her beauty when she smiled.
“Oh, you know very well how to read my mind,” Wanda uttered before pulling her into a kiss that sent butterflies into her stomach.
She received the kiss well and responded with the strong passion they both possess. Their lips were crashing in sync as their heads angled in a pattern while their hands roamed.
“Oh, there you are—” They both stopped and looked at the owner of the voice, which interrupted them. It was Vision. “Oh...” He tilted his head as he studied what was happening. He blinked it away and proceeded to state his business. “I'm glad to catch both of you. I'm afraid you're not allowed to leave the building.”
“Let me guess, Tony's orders? ”She said, making Wanda frown in confusion as she looked at her.
“Correct,” Vision responded.
“That's not happening.” Another familiar voice came from the other side, and when they looked, they saw Clint. “Come on, kids, pack your bags. I'm here to pick you up.”
“I'm afraid I can't let them go.” Vision begged to differ.
“Oh my god! What are you doing here? ”Wanda said in surprise.
“Disappointing my kids.”
“In whose orders, Clint? ”
She questioned.
“Captain. Cap needs our help. Come on.” She looked into Wanda's eyes to consult their plan. Wanda looked hesitant.
“What's wrong? ”
“I’ve caused enough problems.” She and Clint frowned at Wanda.
“You gotta help me, Wanda. Look, you want to mope, can go to high school. You wanna make amends, you get off your ass. We gotta go.”
“Come on, Wanda. It'll be okay.” The girl holding Wanda's hand and giving her assuring eyes and comfort was what helped to convince her.
Wanda nods and lets her drag her along as they follow Clint. “Stop! Clint.. You should not be here.” Vision interrupts and Clint rolls his eyes.
“Really? I retire for, what, like five minutes, and it all goes to shit.“
“Please consider the consequences of your actions.” He started to elevate as he turned his guard on.
“Okay.. they're considered. Okay, we gotta go.” They immediately turned their backs on Vision while he was held back by a force field. It was sparkling and crackling between the two arrows. None of them had the time to notice when Clint had shot them.
Just as they reach the exit, Vision catches up to them. As they were caught off guard, he punched Clint, but he quickly recovered. “I knew I should've stretched.” Clint groaned.
He extended a baton in an attempt to hit Vision, but it was useless as the blows went through him. He resorts to punches and comes back to the baton until it breaks. Clint doesn't give up and tries to kick Vision, but as expected, his kicks pass through him. They ended up with Vision having Clint in a headlock. Completely naive about the existence of the two ladies.
“Clint, you cannot overpower me.”
He was still able to speak, but it was crooked. “I know I can't, but they can.”
Vision's eyes found Wanda's glowing ruby orbs. “Vision.. That's enough; let him go.” As the energy from Wanda's hands falters Vision, Clint manages to slip from his grip.
A yellow, sparkling circle opened beneath Vision caused by her. The body of water in the area of HQ was seen on the other side of the portal.
“If you do this… they will never stop being afraid of you.”
“The thing is... She cannot control their fear,” the sorcerer answers Vision.
“Only my own.” Wanda buries Vision through the water and passes the ground, and her sorcerer closes the portal just in time for the water to not splash at them.
She finds Wanda's eyes; their glow is starting to fade as she calms down. She walks over to her and holds her hand. “I'm proud of you,” she whispers as she touches her chin to make Wanda look at her.
She managed to make Wanda smile lightly and entwine their fingers together. “Thank you.”
“...Alright, what the hell is this? ”She and Wanda forgot about Clint and looked at him before chuckling lightly. “What has Nat been teaching you two? ”
“Looking over my shoulder should be a second nature. And I’m starting to think she's right.” Wanda chuckled at her own remark of being caught in the moment and kept forgetting there were people with them.
“So, you two? together? ”Clint asked to confirm.
Both of the ladies chuckled as they held hands and followed Clint to the van.
“Lowkey.”

ash cloud

"I REMEMBER WHEN I FIRST NOTICED THAT you loved me back." She barely whispered against his chest yet it reached his ears, hitting him with vivid memories they spent in their golden haze.
"Yeah? When was that?" Simon and his angelic god-given wife were lying on their bed, naked. Skin to skin as they recover from the intense session of euphoria.
"We.." A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she recalled the memory that seemed to be a deja vu. "We were lying exactly like this, just finished.. naked and sweaty... Remember when I first made you listen to my favorite song?"
"Remember' everything bout' you, Luv."
He extended her laugh, practically making himself smile.
"When I first met you, you were as cold as ice. So, when I got to have you slow dancing with me.. combined with the way you looked at me, in those hazel eyes.. so warm, gleaming at me like honey.. it felt like finding my sanctuary and you were looking at me as if you felt like it too. That's when I first noticed.”
No one has ever described him like that. No one has ever thought or seen him the way she did. A blissful heat that thumps his heart crazy only happens when he’s with her. When she says things like that.
"You saw right through me.”
He looked down at her, staring at her intently, studying how her eyes fluttered and her cheeks lifted tenderly as she smiled.
"No, I doubted it at first. But, then you proved yourself to me.. and I've never been the happiest." A soft blush covered her already flustered cheeks from reminiscing. He sighed from the wave of fulfillment he felt as if he just succeeded in a hard mission.
Simon did not have the best suit of armor in terms of expressing himself. Which led to the task of making the most wonderful woman in the world know— feel—every ounce of love he felt quite tough.
But she had a mirage, with just a simple smile, a gaze through her lashes, a note of her delicate laugh, he was on his knees. Ready to recite and prove his oaths he vowed in front of the altar for as long as he shall live.
Her cosmic made it smooth for him to show his affection and love without even noticing. Constantly finding himself whispering sweet nothing to her, babbling about things he wants to do to her, buying and doing things he had never before just to see her face beaming with joy. While it made her feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
"Glad to know I finally made it.”
She looked up to him curiously, lifting her chin without leaving his bare chest.
"Made what?”
"Make you feel that I love you. Make you happy. The happiest. Have no idea how hard I try." The small frown on his brows infected her, mirroring his as she listened to his thoughts.
"Oh, honey, you have no idea just how much you make me happy every single day." She lifted herself to place a tender kiss on the edge of his lips. Before pulling back to gaze intently in his eyes, capturing his full attention before his lips. When she does, he immediately kisses back, making it quickly turn into a full make-out session taking their breaths away.
The night when she first noticed,
They were both naked in his apartment, the lamp on the streets giving access to see inside his dark room, and by the open balcony was Simon smoking with only a towel on his waist.
The naked woman in his place was the only one who agreed to his deal of fucking without strings attached. The only woman who's making him break his own words.
The brown carpet received each step she took to reach his side. "What are you doing?" an ash-shaded cloud flew with the wind as he exhaled before he took a glance at her blanket-covered body.
"Cigarettes after sex."
Her eyes lit up at his words. He put an idea into her head and he was about to pay for it. He stole a glance at her place, already missing her presence, wondering why she left before deciding to go take another drag when she came back with a cheeky smile.
"Come inside." She whispered.
"I did." He replied mischievously.
She laughed and hit his arm playfully before dragging him to the space between the bed and the balcony.
He was watching her confused while she enchanted her phone to echo an unfamiliar melody to his ears for them to dance.
"Dance with me."
"No."
"Why not?"
"I don't dance."
"Just hold me then."
"Gladly."
She reached for his arms, stealing the stick to put between her lips before wrapping his arms around her waist.
He took the stick away from her lips with a frown, putting out the flame before throwing it away, he drew a chuckle from her.
As she swayed their bodies to the slow serene melody, she was admiring his adonis face as she looked up to him.
The city lights were gleaming in his eyes. His hazel orbs were shining so beautifully as if they were looking at a star. He was staring back at her as if he was starting to wear his guard down, to abandon the deal and love her back. His eyes were painting the art of him staring back at the muse he was falling for. And she could do nothing but hope it was true.

trouble man
EVERY THOUGHT HAS BEEN UNDER SCRUTINY. She thought about it hard enough for her to come back home to her parents. It had been three months since the incident, and he gave her nothing but radio silence. While she suffered alone through confusion and betrayal.
It was a rainy night in NYC. But she did not let the weather wipe away her excitement about seeing friends on a Friday night. Chatter and music, specifically Trouble Man by Marvin Gaye, were what welcomed her into the bar while she wandered her gaze to search for her company tonight.
She walked further over the bar and found someone she didn’t expect to see. It was Steve. She figured it out from the back because of his vintage leather jacket. She was confused at first. He told her that he would be at work the whole weekend. So this must not be him. But eventually, a smile crept onto her lips, realizing it might be him. It’s been a week since she last saw him. How she missed him.
Only to be abrupt with a frown when a slender figure crossed her sight. A random lady in a bodycon was batting her lashes at the man in front of her.
Confusion was written all over her face as she watched the two exchange timid laughter. She froze on her spot and couldn’t approach them. She watched as she slapped his biceps playfully. She was confused, but she wasn’t dumb. She saw how the lady started to lean in on him. As if she was about to kiss him.
“Steve..?” She was weak in the knees at the scene in front of her. But her fragile voice calling out to him was her only way of defense. To try to stop whatever was about to unfold.
She prayed so hard. She prayed so hard in those milliseconds before the man looked behind him. She prayed for him to not be her man.
But those same innocent blue eyes found her frayed ones. His expression was quick to change from confusion to shock. He stood up from his seat when he realized that it was her who called out his name. He looked back at the random lady he was talking to and back to his woman. Her eyes held pain as she looked back at him.
When it hit him what she must've thought about what was happening, he was about to speak, but the woman behind him interrupted him.
“Do you know her?” The lady behind him said. He closed his mouth before saying what that was about to punch her in the gut.
“No.”
No.
No. He did not know her. Those two letters echoed in her mind. They were like daggers stabbing her in the chest as it repeated again and again.
“Oh, okay. Let's get you another drink. Excuse me, another whiskey over here, please!”
He didn't even glance back at her before turning his attention back at the lady, and it broke her.
She was embarrassed. She was hurt. She was confused. She was denied.
She was about to turn her back and leave, but her name was yelled.
When she looked back and saw her friends, she remembered what she came for. She saw the blond man and the lady once again talking, and it now infuriated her as she marched past them.
She tried to compose herself before speaking to people who knew her. “Hey, uhm, have– have you guys seen Steve here before I arrived?”
“Steve? Oh, right. That's Steve?! We thought it wasn't him 'cause that man has been flirting with that lady over there all night…”
She nodded and wiped away the single tear that fell from her eye. “Okay. I'll head home now. I'm sorry.”
They called out to her and tried to chase her. “—wait!”
She ran past the two again and headed outside in the rain. She didn't stop and she didn't know why. She kept running until a beaming light and a deafening horn from a vehicle stopped her in her tracks.
“Watch where the fuck you're going lady!” And it ran over her.
Her friends called from behind her and ran to her. “What the hell are you doing?! You could've died! You're all wet now! What happened?”
She couldn't form any words. All she could do was break down in tears in the streets of New York at midnight.
“Sweety.. Did he not tell you he was gonna be there?” Her friend's tone became gentler, and she looked at her and shook her head.
“What an asshole. I expected better than that from Captain America. Come on, darling, let's get you home and dry.”
She reacted the way she did to the incident that night. She listened to her friend when she said to ignore him no matter what he does because he deserves it. Although, even when she planned to hear his side, and have him explain everything to her, none of it happened. He did not reach out to her. He did not come to her and explain everything. So she had nothing to ignore and give another chance to, which tore her to pieces day by day.
A fresh breezy wind passed by her skin as she sat down with a book in hand. That was three months ago. She decided to come to her hometown and stay away from the city that screamed his name. Here, she was surrounded by people she could trust and feel safe with.
“Honey, you have a visitor.” When she saw her mother's excited smile, she couldn't help but still hope. She wishes that it would be him. The past three months were still fresh, and every thought that crossed her mind was him. It never changed.
“Coming.”
She entered the living room and found a familiar face. Disappointment poked another hole in her chest. She brushed it off with a fake smile, as she was still surprised. “Paolo? Oh my, it's been so long!” The grown man smiling wildly at her ran to her open arms and embraced a friendly hug. It was her childhood friend from their village.
“So.. What brought you here?”
“I heard you were back in town, so I figured why not visit you, aye?” She nodded and gave him a small smile.
“Of course.”
“So, can I take you out? This town misses you so much. I know I do.”
“Take me out? Like.. a date?” She awkwardly asked. She wasn't ready for that. She's not available. Yet.
She invited him to sit on the couch with her. “Yeah! Why? Are you single?”
“No. She's taken.” That voice. That baritone voice struck her like lightning. It straightened her back and widened her eyes.
She slowly looked up and saw home. She found and finally felt at home when she met his ocean eyes. She was once again falling for his innocent eyes.
“I'm so sorry I took so long, love.”
He was slowly walking up to her. She was speechless. She wanted to cry. She wanted to run into his arms. She had forgotten why she hadn't seen him for months, and she just wanted to feel his arms around her. It was all she wanted to do as tears filled her eyes.
“Who’s this? Do you know this guy?”
“Do you know her?”
“No.”
All of a sudden, she remembered what she felt three months ago at the bar where he denied her.
“No. I don't know this guy. Mom! Why did you let a stranger in!” She stood up and glared at him. She tried to find her mom, but when she walked past him, he grabbed her by the arm and made her face him. His eyebrows creased in confusion as he cupped her face.
“Love? What's wrong?” She frowned and held his hands on her cheeks to take it off and fight. He let her take off his hands on her face, but he pulled her closer by the waist.
“Why are you acting like this, baby? Tell me what's wrong.”
“What the hell is wrong with you, Rogers?!” He looked even more confused at her anger. “What the fuck are you doing here?”
“Language.. baby.” She threw his arms off her waist and broke free.
“Have you gone insane? How dare you come to my parents’ house and act like nothing happened!”
“What? Love, I don't understand.”
“Will you stop acting like you don't remember? You're a goddamn super soldier, for goodness sake!” His face became serious, and he called her name.
“Tell me what's wrong. I don't understand.”
“What’s wrong? Ask what's right! What's right with what you did, Steve! Nothing! Nothing's right! Nothing was correct with that!” She suddenly found herself hitting his chest as she sobbed.
“What did I do, baby? Please, tell me.”
“You denied me!”
It nearly broke her apart as she said those words. “You.. denied me.”
“What? When?”
“At the bar! When I last saw you! And I didn't hear one thing from you for the past three months, and now you barge in like nothing fucking happened? You're unbelievable.”
“At the bar? Baby, I was on a mission. I was undercover. I told you that. I called you.” She looked at him as if she couldn’t believe him.
“What? You’re really using your job as an excuse?”
“No, sweetheart, I would never do that. It was a mission. I intended to let you know, but you weren’t picking up your phone.” She felt ridiculed. She wiped her tears as she shook her head. She pushed him gently for some space and looked away.
“Okay..” She exhaled as she took in his excuses. “Then explain why I heard nothing.. Not a single thing from you for the past three months, Steve Rogers.”
He hesitated at first. It sounded as ridiculous as he knew it would be to her. “I.. I was at work. We were in Sokovia for a mission.” He looked down with a frown in shame.
“And you had zero chance to call me? You saw how I reacted to your “mission.” You saw me in that bar. You gave me radio silence, Steve. How do you expect me to react?”
“I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I’m truly sorry, love. I didn’t think you would take it that way.” Sincerity flashed in his coral-addicting eyes. And he sounded like a troubled man. He was sorry. He sounded genuine, and it healed something inside of her.
“I thought you'd understand.”
“Well, I guess it's just unfair for you to expect me to understand all the damn time.”
They bore their eyes into each other. He was trying to read her emotions, but there was nothing there now.
“Excuse me?” She suddenly remembered that she had a visitor.
“I.. I’m sorry. I forgot you were here.”
“It’s alright.” He stood up and walked over them. “I’ll just come back and tell you more about our date.” Steve was quick to react to the man’s words. He frowned at him.
Steve watched as she gave him a forced smile, and leaned in to whisper something while he rub her back in their side hug. He grinned at her before leaving.
Once the man was out of sight, he asked, “So... you’re dating now?”
“It’s none of your business.” She was full of spitefulness, and it was obvious on her frigid tone. His brows creased as he questioned her.
“It is my business. You’re mine. We’re not over yet, love, it’s only a misunderstanding.” He was starting to plead as he was ready to. He was ready to do anything to get back the woman who made his heart beat again after 1945.
“I think after hearing nothing from me for three months? You’ll assume we’re done too.” He frowned and looked down. He nodded. He couldn’t knock down her icy guard. He was built to tear down forces to protect the people. But her defense against him seems to be unbeatable. He wouldn’t give up. Not on her. But he was still hurt.
“I will give you some space.” He turned his back on her, but he was stopped when she grabbed his arm and placed her palms against his cheeks. A bliss of relief flourished inside of her when she finally felt his warm and soft skin. Her palms were carved over his sharp jaw. Feeling his stubble against her skin, she tiptoed to reach his lips, which yearned for hers.
He wasted no time responding to her passionate kiss. Her hands couldn’t get off his face while his hands curled along her waist. Their lips crashed, corresponding to one another’s longing.
She let go first. It was one of the hardest things she had ever done, but she knew she had to. “You know that I love you.. But Steve, you’ve put me through so much.” She tightened her shut eyes before leaving a mark on his forehead.
He was speechless and couldn’t do anything but accept everything she was generous enough to give him. Slowly, she untangled his arms around her waist and let go of him.
“If you want me back… I’ll know.”
She said that before running upstairs and leaving him by himself. He stood there, staring down at the floor, processing what had happened. What he had done and what it did to her.
“Steve, did you get to talk to her?” Her mother’s voice pulled him out of his spiraling. He looked at the path she took before she left and nodded at the lady.
“Yes, ma’am. She went to her room.”
“Oh, okay. I’m glad you finally talked to each other before she leaves.” He looked puzzled.
“Before she leaves?”
“Oh, yes. Did she not tell you? She’s going to be relocated at work.”
“No, she didn’t tell me..”
“She’s leaving early tomorrow. You know where the airport is if you want to catch her, son.” He nodded and politely smiled.
“Thank you, ma’am.”
The whole night, the same as every other night, she thought of him. Why was it that easy for him to give her space? Well.. He gave her a long ass space for months, how hard could it be for him? Are they really over? Was it truly a mission? Did she overreact? How come he didn’t find time to text or message her? She believed him when he said that he was in Sokovia, it was all over the news. But still. If he’s really sorry, then he’ll do something. Right?
She sighed and gave up. She forced herself to think of nothing and go into slumber as she had to get ready for her flight.
Morning rose, and she did and had everything she needed before heading downstairs for breakfast.
“Good morning.” Her father at the dining table greeted her.
“Good morning. Are you ready, dad? We need to leave after breakfast.”
“Of course.” She nodded and started eating as planned.
The morning was normal. Normal, quiet, yet unlively. There was something missing. She knew too well what that was. “I heard you had visitors last night.” Her dad’s voice brought her back to her senses just in time before she started to spiral and possibly cry.
“Yes.”
“Did you get to talk to him?” Him. He who shall not be named.
“Yes, dad.”
“And what did he say?”
“That.. It was for a mission. An undercover.” She started playing with her food as the thought of last night stole her appetite.
“Well? Then why do you look like that? You don’t believe him?” His father’s tone was firm. Commanding. She shook her head in response. “It is the Captain of America you’re dating, isn’t that right, young lady?”
She sighed. “Yes.. dad.”
“You must know what you had gotten yourself into then.” She frowned and nodded. She leaned back in her seat and crossed her arms, she just couldn’t wait for her dad to get to his point.
“Then what is the problem? Did he not tell you he’s sorry?”
“He did. He said he was sorry.” She was starting to feel annoyed.
“You think he’s lying?”
She stayed silent as she frowned at nothing.
“Men lie all the time, that’s proven right all the time, I know. But Steve Rogers.. is not like any other man I’ve met, daughter. He’s a soldier. He wasn’t physically qualified, but his spirit was. Loyal, sincere, and brave. Don’t you remember that? Those were your exact words defending your hundred-year-old boyfriend to me. ”
She scoffed and almost smiled at his dad’s face. He was scowling. “I remember, dad. It was the speech that convinced you to let me date him. ”
“The question is, will it work on you as well? I’ve never seen you happier when you were with him, sweetheart.”
She smiled at his dad’s remark. “I don’t need convincing, dad. I just need some wooing.” His dad rolled his eyes at her, and it was the funniest thing she’s seen this morning, making her chuckle.
“Honey, don’t you have a flight to fly to?” Her mom popped out of the garden in her gardening attire.
“Yes, mom. Just in time. Let’s go, Dad.” After bidding her goodbye to her mom, her dad drove her to the airport and said goodbye there.
“Take care, Dad.” She waved at him and watched as his car drove away. She entered the building and went through security. The busy ambiance of the place kept her mind busy from things she had to worry about.
She was an hour early before her flight, and so she sat on the chair intended for standby passengers to use. There, she started wondering. She still hadn’t heard from him. He said he would give her some space. What does that mean? Is it really.. Is it over now?
She was biting her nails as she watched the crowd walk and attend their businesses over and over until the microphone announced her flight.
She dragged her suitcase to the line of people she will share the plane with. In the back of her mind, she was still hoping. She always does. Just another glimpse of him would be enough. She told herself.
Until her name was called, she thought it was her turn. She thought the flight attendant called her name, but it came from far away. From the back. She looked back and saw that the voice that was calling to her was stealing people’s attention. She tried to find out who was calling her. And there she saw a tall, masculine blond man running to her.
“Steve?” She was about to ask herself, but the woman beside her did it first.
“Isn’t that Captain America?” And so all the people in the airport murmured.
“Why is he here?”
“Oh my god! Are we safe?!”
The whole place went into silence once he reached her. He said her name. “I need you to listen to me, please.”
“What are you doing here? How did you know..?”
“I’m here to let you know I want you back.”
She was confused by all the commotion from the back, but she was still focused on the man pleading in front of her. “It was for an undercover, my love. I would never do something like that to you. Please believe me.”
“Always. Of course.” She sighed in disbelief. She had heard this reason a thousand times.
“I know it’s hard to hear it from me. I know I understand. So, I thought if you heard it from someone else, you’d give me another chance.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Hey..” A feminine voice came from behind him. When he walked aside, Natasha Romanoff showed up. “I know it looked bad, and you must’ve felt awful. But it’s true, it was for a mission, and we didn’t expect you to be there. It was all a misunderstanding. I hope you give him another chance.”
“Uh, hi. I’m Clint Barton. Captain’s co-wor… friend.” Another one popped up from behind Natasha and reached for her hand to shake. She took it, despite being bewildered. “I was with them that night. I would also testify that it was what happened. ”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Bruce Banner. I wasn’t involved in the operation, but I was aware of the plan. I’m also here to testify.” Another confused handshake happened before another tall blond man showed up behind him. How many people did he bring?
“Good day, lady of Rogers; I am Thor Odinson of Asgard. I am here to give my word that Rogers is an honest and sincere man. I wasn’t also involved in the said mission but eventually informed, and I do not believe Steve would be able to do that to you.” He smiled and bowed at her, and she nodded confusedly.
“Hey, hi. I’m Tony..” He reached for her hands and quickly shook them. “I heard what happened, and he looked pretty bad, I’m not gonna lie. But Cap’s the most honest person you’ll ever meet. You’re a good influence on him, he’s not cranky when he is with you.” They chuckled at him, and she almost did, except she was still trying to take in everything. “We all know how sorry he is, so we wish you find it in you to forgive him.”
And he stepped back. They lined up on her right, and she was waiting to see if they were all done or if there was another one. And a tall, dark man walked in with a patch on his other eye. He was a serious man. “Apologies for interrupting your flight,” he said her name, and she just watched him, waiting for what he had to say. “I’m Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. I was the one in charge of the mission that went badly for the two of you. Here is the confidential file about the mission, there was nothing but professionalism that night. We hope you understand.”
A huge black folder was handed to her. When she took it, it was heavy. She opened it, and it was a tablet containing tons of information about the same stranger lady she saw that night. And everything else that answered why they needed to conduct the mission that caused a quarrel between her and her man.
A slight crease was carved on Nick’s forehead as he watched Steve’s significant other handle the tablet expertly. He took note of it in the back of his mind, and ignored it for now when she handed back the tablet.
“I.. Steve? I.. I know, I believe you that it was for work.. But did no appearance for 3 months come along with it?”
“The Avengers went through a lot at that time, and it’s my fault. Aside from them not being able to contact any relatives, I prohibited it for their own sake and yours. Considering that the main opponent’s strength was the internet.” Fury jumped in to explain to her, and she nodded understandingly.
“It’s still not a valid reason to leave you like that, I know. You were confused, betrayed, and hurt. I should’ve done better. I could’ve found ways. I’m so sorry. Will you forgive me? I love you. I can’t afford to lose you.” She was once again being lured by his sky-blue eyes. And those three words were the only thing she needed to accept him again. She held his cheek and read the genuineness in his eyes.
She nodded eagerly, “I forgive you, love. I love you.” He smiled up to his eyes and did not only captivate her heart again but also her lips, which he longed to feel.
“Yes!” Thor yelled with a wide grin, starting the applause of the crowd. Natasha smiled at the couple reuniting, and so did the others.
“Whoop— Okay, job well done, I guess,” Tony commented on the side.
The airport interrupted the commotion with her flight’s announcement. When their kiss ended, they stared at each other while their foreheads touched. “What about my flight?” She asked him.
“Do you mind me joining you?” She gasped at him. “Stark got us first-class seats.”
“Oh, really? That’s so sweet.” She looked at the six people who bothered to come to her just to convince her. “Thank you. Thank you all for coming just to help Steve. I appreciate it. I can’t believe he had the Avengers come here just to say sorry.”
“We’re not paid for this, so it’s good to know that we convinced you,” Tony replied, making them chuckle. “You two better get going before you miss your flight.” They both nodded, said their goodbyes, and expressed gratitude.
As they sat on their first-class window seats, they couldn’t take their hands off of each other. They kept talking and catching up until everybody else on the plane fell asleep on their seats and the lights were dimmed.
“I missed you so much,” Steve whispered in her ear as he inhaled her sweet scent by the neck as she sat on his lap.
“I missed you more, love.” She murmured back as she snuggled in his chest and put his heart beat by her ear. It was the most comforting beat. The inhumane beat of his heart was a sign he was alive and well, which gives comfort to her.
“You know what? We should have a code name for you. So if a similar situation like this happens, you could still write to me.” He smiled as he brushed her hair softly with his fingers.
“Okay, I like that idea. Writing to you. What code name are you thinking of?”
She smiled and adjusted to kiss his lips.
“Trouble man.”
He chuckled and stole her lips for a passionate kiss as he let his hands roam. “Trouble man it is.”
