Happy birthday Deare is a 70 page comic about a young boy Deare! It’s his birthday and his friends set up a scavenger hunt in the woods he lives in. You meet a lot of his friends as he goes from place to place helping his friends with something to get a hint to the next location to go to.

As the story progresses you learn a little more about Deare and why he acts some of the ways he does, and about some of his friends (and even some hints to later comics ;) )

If I had to age rate it I think it’d be pg13 at MOST. I tried to write/draw it like a children’s book but it is supposed to be creepy at parts and there’s a page or two with some gore. And I guess some descriptions are scary and a character looks scary and that’s all I can think of to mention

I’ve been writing it since around the middle of September in 2023 but I had the characters thought out a bit before that. I’m still working on it and I’m hoping to get it finished by April? I am one person working on it and I have other things to do and “school” so it might take longer.

I may get it published, idk how that works but my mom said that she’d help and she knows someone who can do publish things so until I get more info abt that that’s all we know for now

Dear diary, the date is 2/9/1910.

Billy still has not taken a shower and has come close to making me like claire. I will take his(my) cat privileges away if he soon does not shower, I will take his sweater and use as a leash to drag him into the bathroom. I will not lock the door on him, because he will probably eat it, resulting in our 96th broken bathroom door. I do not know how long these shenanigans will ensue. I cannot continue to live this way, I will soon become the hunter and billy the prey, what he did to Agnes will look like a joke the way I'm gonna mangle his infant ass. sewers !!!!! i will not take a bath therefore I have escaped down the toilet and to the sewers. I ended up in some place called ambrose? I do not know but it is dead (quiet litterally lmao) I stumbled into a white building with a giant yellow T on the door. Opening the door and screaming my classic ¨PIGGY PIGGY PIGGY¨ i had seen a man on his knees (for me, billy ofc) and some people in seats, classical styles, I can accept this. Wow. very pretty, bright, and uh oh the knee man is walking towards me, he looks angry, he has big ears. Welp. All i remember now is getting pushed out of the white building with the giant yellow T. well that is not very fun. I ran, my green sweater missing so i ofc ran into the station hopefully the scary big eared man wont come for me lmao *heart eye emoji*

i simultaneously do want to talk abt things and am also wracked with brain-no-worky symptom tomfoolery BUT i will do my best

i am thinking about disability aids!! because that is 90% of what i have been thinking about for the past week!! because i want a mobility aid but that's beside the point!! mainly i am thinking about the fact that so so so so so many abled NT people seem to think that disability aids, like. start and end w/these

when that is not true at all!!! like for starters. there are obviously way more types of disability aids, which serve a variety of functions, for a variety of disabilities both physical and mental.

but also, people seem to think they have to be... boring? but they don't!! Like, I have a lot of really colourful stim toys, and my ear defenders are also headphones and imo they look pretty cool. I've seen people put spikes on their canes, put stickers on their crutches, re-paint their wheelchairs, dye their service dog's fur, etc.

there are obviously people who use just kinda the expected look with their aids and that's totally ok, the goal is for it to help not for it to look cool, but like. do u know how cool i find this??

my friend who needs a cane doesn't want one bc the ones she's seen are so "old-people-ish. people would stare." she doesn't know (tho i want to tell her the next time i see her bc i didn't know either) that you can get ones that glow in the dark and ones that are all sorts of colours and ones with cool handles and sparkly ones and you can put stickers on them and and and there are so many possibilities. like... it makes a difference!! it does!!

disabled teens (and also disabled adults ofc) deserve to have fun as best as we can when dealing with a disability. like... for me? yeah autism can be shit sometimes, but at least i can listen to MCR with my ear defenders. and yeah, i'm in pain and fatigued a lot from whoknowswhat-itis, but i think having a green cane w/my aromantic dragon sticker on it would make me feel better. on some level.

i want popular kids to be able to show off their cool new stim toys and i want shy kids to be able to start conversations because wow, your wrist brace looks cool and i want friends to be able to bond over helping pick out a member of the group's new crutches. i want it to be able to be FUN at least a little bc frankly being disabled kinda sucks!!! it's scary and it's tiring and it SUCKS!!! but getting to have just a bit of fun and personality around disability makes it feel slightly less like hell and i want everyone to have that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the bars were good!! the only real story I have is when we went to the part time lover bar in SD (with the peach cocktail I recommended you) we met this group of british guys who were roadtripping around California and ended up chatting with them the whole night. they were very nice and fun to talk to, and instead of trying to hit on us like we both expected, at one point they asked us if we met on tinder and that's when me and my friend realized they thought we were dating which was extremely funny. we did nothing to dissuade the assumption. very fun time overall!

- she and green especially are on the same wavelength most of the time, having very similar personalities and its easy to joke around with green. green remains a very cool and youthful, not embarrassing dad in his late thirties. most of the time.

- she is cutesy and small but also pretty strong for a little girl? she cant lift reds charizard yet but she might be able to do it in a few years?? its a bit scary lol

- at school she basks in popularity and excels at many sports, but at the same time is annoyed by nearly 20 kids at once asking her to become their rival. chocolate boxes with "be my rival 🥺" written on them in the family's doorstep ensue. begonia cant be impressed very easily, she just shoves the chocolate to her dads, green just being like LOL more for us.

- that said there might be a boy in pallet town who she thinks should be her rival and makes monologues abt how theyre fated to be rivals... but the guy is just like “haha okay lol”. idk what they look like yet but i will get to that maybe

- baby fever hit green like a truck. pallet town has grown somewhat with new families with small children moving in. hes often picking up those overly eager little kids trying to run to forbidden areas and reciting the same words of wisdom about how their time will come bla bla, relieved when they finally stop crying and get it. arent they adorable, he thinks and spaces out. red finally asks him if he wants kids when green starts holding eevee as if it were a human baby and joking abt it and green is just like 👁👁 realizashun

- red has decided to study field research while also taking care of the babies! no problem carrying two of em while outdoors.. hopefully. he regained some fame by making a brief comeback to public at the PWT, but for now he keeps a pretty low profile again...

- AUNTIE LEAF!!! shes become very epic and awesome on her own. shes got a dynamax band, a mega stone, a z-ring and the hugest backpack, shes the ultimate protag to an almost ridiculous degree. leaf has a vlog talking about legendaries and has been interviewed a lot as well. she fears nothing... except holding the tiny fragile babies. she doesnt know how to babies? red does check on leaf so that she doesnt burn out, inviting her to hang out w the family, though leaf isnt settling down any time soon from adventuring. v likely never will. she looks forward to meeting tawny and begonia again when theyre trainers...

MSA/RE Village AU where the gang stars as the 4 lords

Lewis = Alcina Dimitrescu

In his case, it turns into Lord Pepper. He fits Alcina’s role the best because, not only is Lewis the tallest of the group, but, similar to Alcina, he is very showy and very dramatic. Also, castle’s and mansions have some things in common, like they’re both very fancy, and pretty big, etc. In old European times, Lewis would definitely have an extravagant castle. I think Lady Dimitrescu’s whole motif fits Lewis extremely well. The deadbeats could fill in for the daughters quite well, although they won’t be introduced as his children in this AU. Just his closest servants or whatnot.

Arthur = Karl Heisenberg

Or Lord Kingsmen. Heisenberg has the whole metal thing going for him AND he has created robots and the like, showing that he has a knack for robotics. Given that Arthur is a mechanic and ALSO has a knack for robotics and all that, it fits perfectly. While Arthur, canonically, is a much more anxious individual and lacks the confidence Heisenberg has (at least in the social area gsgsgd), I think if he were in the place of a mutated villain, being a cocky bastard would definitely be a part of Arthur’s villain persona. Also I think he’d look cool in Heisenberg’s outfit.

Vivi = Donna Beneviento

Lady Yukino. This one is less based in the abilities Donna has, and more of the general feel/idea, if you get what I mean. Donna’s house is the creepiest part of the game, and given Vivi’s interest in the paranormal and horror, if she were a villain, she would 100% scare the shit out of her victims, play with them some. I can see her being into creepy dolls and stuff like that. She would put up much more of a fight than Donna did in the actual game though, so going through her would be more difficult, and probably even more scary than it was in Village. Also, this is more of a random thought that I think would be interesting, but perhaps Angie could be replaced with a doll version of Shiromori instead? They’re both made out of wood, and Angie seems to have her own personality, so doll Shiromori would too. Idk, I think it would be neat, and a way to integrate Shiro into the story.

Mystery = Salvatore Moreau

Lord Mystery. Kitsune are shapeshifters, and can shift into a human form or human-looking form. So since Mystery is an animal that has the capability of looking like a human, I think it fits. I’m imagining some sort of fox-human monstrosity for him. Since Moreau’s case is a fish-human monstrosity, the part animal theme stays consistent with Mystery. Also I definitely think Mystery would be a whiny, self-pitying bastard if he were a villain. Very vindictive and manipulative and stuff. Fits him perfectly. Not second-handedly saying Moreau annoys me in the game, I actually really like his character as a villain, it’s just a bit of ire from canon Mystery’s absolutely tomfoolery in MSA leaking out since Mystery, y’know… isn’t supposed to be a bad guy lol. At least not anymore. But I digress, he’s fucked up a lot, and as I said, definitely would be one of those self-pitying villains, and is constantly going “oh woe is me!”

Added Bonus: Reverb plays the part of Mother Miranda, given that both of them are the major villain in their own respective media. So Father Reverb it’d be called, I suppose. (Idk I’ve always just called ??? an “it” as opposed to a “he”, maybe, for me at least, it’d just turn out as Parent Reverb lol.)

it’s ancient greek! it means homecoming, the idea of a triumphant return home for the hero after a long journey. i found it through looking at the root of nostalgia. in this fic of course it’s kind of a grim tongue in cheek play on it. the reader’s coming back to the mountains, but she’s running away after a bad breakup, and the welcome she gets is... shall we say less than ideal haha
