work harder or smarter?

I work in an innovation design agency. And today our boss gave us that motivational speech about expecting everyone to: - show up (be reliable) - work hard (obviously) - and listen (even if it seems to you that the other person won't say anything intelligent, you must admit the idea that she/he knows something that you don't know). And I really like that thought, that you can not to be the best designer, or a worker, or a student somewhere, but you just have to follow these three things and you're going to be great.

But, my colleague made a note, that by a "hard worker" she imagines totally exhausted person with 10 cups of coffee, and that we should use a phrase "work smart" instead.

Everyone agreed, including the boss, but I'm still thinking about it. As Elon Musk said, work 120 hours a week, and in 4 months you will achieve what other people do in a year, and I agree with that. Why not work smart and hard at the same time?

/ hello, world

here I am, writing this post. Well, long story short - I talk a lot, I read a lot and I think I'd like to write a lot as well. But i'm terrified of writing posts or articles, or anything like that, especially in a foreign language (English isn't my native language). So, according to Indian/Vedic Cultures, your biggest potential and the scope to grow. And in general, I try to do what I'm afraid of (and I advise you to do the same).

I'm a Senior UX/UI Designer in my early twenties and I work a lot. I'm a fan of Elon Musk, space, design, AI, future possibilities etc. I'm one of that a bit "toxic productive" and organised people (although I don't like the word toxic, of course).

I've been meditating and trying to live more mindfully for many years. I wake up early, do yoga, meditate, do breathing exercises, keep different kind of diaries, drink coffee (only black) and iced coconut matcha (obviously). So I guess, I'm a very good fit for Tumbler.

I'm thinking what I can write about. I like that concept of "100 productive days", but in my life they've already exceeded 1000… So, maybe, about that? Design? Innovations? How to be organised? I don't know yet, but I hope I'll figure it out.

I truly feel hopeful I won't give up on writing my own small blog and in the meantime, I'd be happy to chat with any of you.

P.S. Interesting fact, that even though I'm a full-time senior designer, I'm still graduating from university.
