Tuesday - Mars Day: Mars is associated with action, drive, power, and energy. Tuesday is a great day to get things done.

* ie: move forward w/ projects, run errands, declutter and clean, do an intense workout, and not a good day to argue.

Today, I ran errands with my sister for her up and coming business venture. We went to Home Depot, got some groceries, and Family Dollar before coming back and unloading boxes and setting up rooms.

I felt good all day. High energy and spirits while being really inspired to get my ideas started! I did plan a workout, however, I did not make it today so I definitely will try again next Tuesday!

There was also a Super-moon in Aquarius today!

I took a 6yo boy to his placement and as soon as I got him situated in the back he saw my SpongeBob driver’s license air freshener hanging on my rearview mirror. He asked if that’s really SpongeBob’s driver’s license and I said yeah it’s real. Then he asked where I got it if SpongeBob’s underwater so I told him I wore a helmet like Sandy and stole it from SpongeBob when he slept, and without missing a beat he goes “That’s identity fraud”

#kids are probably the funniest people on the planet #I love working with them #we spent the rest of the ride singing the SpongeBob theme song #and he did an almost perfect impersonation of the French guy #whenever I’d say we’re almost there he’d go ‘2 years later’#he was a whole hoot and a half

It's worth noting that there are some extraordinary people in the world who have been quietly doing the work for decades, and they should be celebrated with all the fervor that we denounce the villains. I first read about Harrison twenty-odd years ago, when he'd already been doing this for about fifty years, and this is one of those guys whose life can, indeed, be summed up by his headline.

James Harrison saved millions of lives. Millions. Not with anything flashy or dramatic, not with profound speeches or brilliant strategy or any of the things we insist are the ways to impact the world. He simply kept himself as healthy as possible so that every few weeks he could go and sit quietly in a room and give away a fundamental part of himself — quite literally his lifeblood — to people he'd never meet, for no pay and no expectation of acknowledgement. (He was, it should be said, acknowledged quite a lot per this article, but that's beside the point.)

When we talk about the kind of people we want to elevate and celebrate in our societies, I often think of people like James Harrison. I hope we get more of him; not just for his blood, but for his heart.

#it's incredibly sad that he passed #though at 88 I'd say that's a pretty good run #but I wanted to highlight this guy who you might not have known about #as one of the people who were out there doing the work #there isn't always glory or glamor in doing the work #but there is satisfaction #and I think Harrison more than many people on the planet died satisfied #that he had done what he could in this world before leaving it #anyway

There are specific tasks that are best to accomplish on specific days. After a little research, I’ve decided to start moving and planning my life and goals around the days of the week and their energies; starting today.
