My brain has been rotting with scenarios of reader fighting with Astarion and The Gang™️, reader gets gravely injured and Astarion has to choose between letting the love of his life die in front of him or turning them. He barely had any time to process what had happened before you had fallen to the ground, incredibly injured. They had come out of nowhere it seemed just as you were setting up camp to rest, what seemed like hoards and hoards of goblins. It wouldn't have been a problem usually but you all had been low on supplies recently from all the fighting you've had to do. Not to mention how exhausted you all were from it. Wyll killing most of the ones near him and shadowheart, shadowheart trying to keep him healed.

You and astarion on the other side, fighting as well however taking more damage with no healer. That's when he had heard it, the painful gasp of breath coming from you as your armor had broken and a goblin had been able to stab a sword through the hole in your armor straight into your stomach, into some of your organs. You stabbed the goblin in front of you before falling to the ground yourself from all your injuries.

Filling with uncontrollable anger he quickly killed all the goblins around him before rushing over to you. Calling out the rest of the team as he went over to you. Shadowheart and Wyll rushed over still focused on killing the rest of them while protecting the two of you now. Making sure he's covered, astarion softly held you in his arms trying to not let the tears start seeing how bad you were. You were already unconscious barely breathing and turning pale, he could hear your pulse slowly dying.

He didn't know what he could do, you were bleeding too much even with him keeping the weapon in so you didn't lose more blood and wrapping the other wounds you had. He knew he could just turn you but would you be happy with that, is that what you would want? To become what he is? Would you be upset at him if he did? He didn't want the choice forced on you like it was to him. However he also knew he couldn't go on without you and the rest of the team would need you too. He had to make a decision quick and fast before you did die and it was too late to even turn you...

Caressing your face softly before finally deciding he leaned down and bit you before pulling away, cutting his palm, putting it up to your mouth making sure you drank some of it. Quietly hoping it would work, not even sure he was doing it correctly. You had already stopped breathing as he finished, he pulled the sword out of your wound before picking you up. All speechless still of what had happened they quietly went back to camp. Finally in your tent astarion set you down on the bedroll as shadowheart followed and broke the silence that had been hanging in the air, "Are you sure this is what she would want?".

All astarion can do is look down at you while thinking of what he had done was right before looking at shadowheart, "What would you have done?".

All she could do was sigh before using her magic to hear the wound on your stomach through still leaving a big scar since she had used most of her magic in the battle. As she leaves, astarion stays not leaving your side just with his book trying to distract himself even a little bit, feeling worried and guilty for what he had done....

It had already been a while since the sun had set when you had finally opened your eyes, feeling tired and for some reason very thirsty.... Seeing you finally awake astarion became nervous about how you would react. Astarion sat back down near you as you had sat up, holding your throat, "Astarion, what happened?"

He seemed nervous and very hesitant before grabbing your other hand, holding it softly, "My love, you got greatly injured, shadowheart was out of magic I didn't know what to do...".

You looked confused before you finally felt it, what more now than before permanent bite mark. As you were processing astarion handed you his mirror, confirming what you thought. You had only made astarion more nervous than before with you not saying anything, he quickly tried to explain himself, "I- I'm sorry darling, I just needed-," before being interrupted by you cupping his face softly.

You sighed softly trying to process everything before talking, smiling at him softly, "I don't blame you, you did what you thought was best and to be honest if the roles were switched I would've done the same....if I had something to stop you from dying I would've done it.".

As astarion tears up, knowing you're not mad at him, you pull him into a hug, running your fingers through his hair. Whatever happened next you two would get through together no matter what.

Angeal: A godsend. Keeps his forms in order and filed properly, calculates everything else himself like a good man. Papers honestly aren’t too bad, maybe 10-12 just because of his career/insurance plus his doubtless donations to charity, but aside from that. straightforward and done at his kitchen table

Genesis: A fucking NIGHTMARE. no doubt pays someone else to do it. and for fucks sake, i know he invests. constantly and consistently and probably in anything he thinks stands the slightest chance against shinra on the market. his 1099-B is a mess and definitely Not Totaled, so his is the bullshit you have to insert one. investment. at. a time. He’s the type that keeps fucking calling too, I can just tell. but, aside from the 1099-B, he’s probably got simple stuff as well. probably several 1099-INTs from several different bank accounts, maybe a couple 1098s floating around from vacation houses or some shit.

Sephiroth: Does his own. In ridiculously early. Makes almost no personal purchases so hardly has anything to pay. I can’t imagine not having a last name or not knowing his birthday doesn’t end up a legal problem somehow, so he likely has to walk directly into a damn tax office to say hey this is me and this is my shit no, someone isn’t stealing my identity. has one singular document and it’s his W-2. Which is. Fucking astronomical. Like, the number doesn’t even look right. His paycheck as a SOLDIER isn’t taxed, so he doesn’t really get much back on his refund. The only first without a healthcare /insurance form because why tf would Sephiroth have healthcare? What’s he gonna do, get sick?

not getting into how doing his own taxes was definitely a fight between him and Hojo at some point and ended up getting hashed out in a board room. Hojo didn’t like him having the autonomy of filing for himself instead of being claimed ad Hojo’s ‘dependent’. Sephiroth deadass threatened to go to court abt it. The President told Hojo to suck it up so they didn’t have to deal with scandal, Hojo wouldn’t tell Seph his birthday to be difficult, and here we are

Zack: Panicking. Late. Doesn’t know if his forms came in the mail, doesn’t know where he put them most of the time. Scrambles around for a fuck ton of receipts, ultimately has to request Shinra send him his shit again. DEFINITELY pays someone else to do it. W-2, 1095-A, 1099-C(s)(he has several debts i can feel it i love him but he screams bad financial decisions), probably some shit for his bike too. He customs it so I can see him listing some parts he buys for it as work expenses. Jokingly puts some money he gave aerith for flowers and what he spent to make her wagon as donations to charity and it actually goes through because the church is still considered a legal entity. Definitely has to pay late fees.

Cloud: Pays Tifa to do it. Filing for both of them is a nightmare cause all their shit burnt in Nibelheim, so once Edge gets right with the WRO they have to do all their paperwork from scratch and get reassigned SSNs. He genuinely has a fuckton of paperwork from doing the Strife Delivery Service. Luckily, only ‘employee’ he has is Tifa, and even then she doesn’t do things regularly aside from pick up the phone. Doesn’t make his business an LLC until he’s literally forced to due to his number of clients and someone trying to sue him for damages. 1099-NEC for TIfa for sure, then once he’s an LLC, some yearly maintenance to keep legal. Mileage and gas expenses go CRAZY on his self employment form, I fucking bet. I bet Cloud’s handwriting is shit tho. Tifa’s at her desk counting up his gains and losses for fucking ages because his fives look too similar to sixes. Eventually she wrangles him into installing some shit on his phone that counts it up, if only to cure her headache. Funnily enough, he does get veteran benefits from what’s left of Shinra’s shit, reparations of sorts, but he doesn’t keep it. All goes to charity, so that ends up in the books too.

Personality: She's witty, rebellious, will stab you if the need arises or pickpocket all your gold if you're mean to her. But she still believes that there's ultimately good in the world. A hope that sometimes makes her take stupid and naive risks. And never has she experienced a love like she has with Astarion - and she's sure she'll never will again. Might be it started as a silly crush because she never experienced someone giving her this kind of attention, but now... She'd kill for him and die for him - although she'd very much prefer the first.

Story: Tav was the daughter to a loveless affair of a very high-up wood elf noble, her father, and her high-elf mother from Baldur's Gate. Immediately abandoned by her mother after birth on the steps of a cloister in the city where she spent the first few years of her life. A life where she was treated harshly from the very first steps on she could take. So still being a child, she fled the abuse and started to live on the streets of Baldur's Gate where she not only had to grow up quickly but learn how to be proficient with sleight of hand, stealth and running away as fast as possible when the former two skills weren't enough. She always did what it takes even though it meant making objectively stupid decisions. She's hardened, cold, with a sharp tongue and violent if need be to those she perceives as a threat because you had to be if you didn't want to be taken advantage off as a woman. But this also means she's made herself unapproachable, so never really has she experienced someone giving her attention for anything but her skillset, complimenting her, wooing her. But to those she perceives as her friends or close ones she's a helpless people-pleaser and pushover rising from a desperate desire to not be left alone again; deeply believing she's only worth as much as she can be of use. She joined a band of thieves for which she and her friends she found there took on highbrow heists - until the day Tav was taken and a parasite in her brain but much more a sassy vampire shook her and her beliefs to the core.

her main role during her thieving times was stakeout and keeping an eye on the others from above with her bow - during long and boring stakeout times she picked up drawing as a hobby: she just drew what she saw, so she could keep an eye on stuff but also busy herself

the scar is from her time when she first fled the cloister and joined a group of street kids (all boys) and she was repeatedly forced to show how brave she was; always having to be at least twice as couragous as the others just to make up for her being a girl

she has a definite problem with authorities

and she could probably drink you under the table

she's not good at taking care of herself, so Astarion calls her his street cat - and has to teach her a thing or two about self-care

I woke up in a cold sweat. I had just had a nightmare like no other I’ve had before, one that I was honestly shocked my brain was able to make. I’m used to having nightmares since I might have kinda been cursed… BUT THATS NOT IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW OK!? Anyways, it was horrible, I wanted to cry, yell, something…but I didn’t. I looked to my side to see my girlfriend, Iris. She was sleeping peacefully like always. When she’s asleep, it’s nearly impossible to wake her. I decided I was going to go downstairs to get some water and contemplate my entire lives decisions.

         A little backstory on how the hell my life got to this point: my name is Flora, when I was younger and dumb, some weird f-cking demon cursed me so no man would ever love me. Jokes on them, I’m a lesbian so it actually kinda helped me. Now there aren’t any creepy guys hitting on me. I also have a girlfriend who is literally the best yada yada, whatever. If I keep talking about my girlfriend for too long I’m gonna go on a rant about how much I love her and I don’t think anyone wants to listen to that.

        I went downstairs and grabbed a cup of water. My phone said it was 4 AM.  I just drank my water and wondered what would’ve happened if I were to, I don’t know… NOT BE LITERALLY F-CKING CURSED BY A DEMON!!! Oh, and by the way, the demon also cursed me to have nightmares every night. You would think I would be desensitized to them but NOPE. Still scare the living hell out of me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

        Yea. Not fun. I started thinking about the nightmare I had, the heart rate increased, my hands got shaky, my breathing got shallow. Oh for f-cks sake. yup. I was having a panic attack.

    Look, I’m not an expert on what the hell to do during sh-t like this. So I just kinda stood there. I felt like was gonna literally collapse. I shut my eyes tightly just hoping, begging for this to stop.

      But that’s when by some miracle my girlfriend, Iris woke up. THANK THE GODS HOLY HELL THAT WAS PERFECT TIMING.

    At this point I had my eyes shut and was just trying not to collapse. Iris rushed over to me and instantly picked me up. Yes, I might be taller than her by like 7 inches but she can still carry me like I’m a child. She brought me to a chair and make me sit down, my breathing slowly went back to normal and my heart rate was no longer fast. I opened my eyes back up as iris spoke to me 

      “hey, shh it’s ok. I’m here for you, Flora. You don’t have to hide anything from me honey.”

     Her words brought tears to my eyes as I realized that I wasn’t alone. I had my amazing, kind and beautiful girlfriend here with me to help me. I looked at her, most people only know her for her strange appearance, it can be rough for entities like us to fit in with humans. She had an eye for a head, most people would be a bit freaked out… but not me. I mean, I’m just as strange since I have a flower for a head. I hugged her tightly, as I hugged her tears started rolling down my face. I don’t cry often, and when I do I never cry in front of people. I don’t like showing weakness. I’m supposed to be the strong one, the rock for others to lean on, not the one who’s crying.

       Iris patted my back as I cried and she hugged me. “Shhh, it’s ok honey, you’re ok…” Iris said to me. I eventually stopped crying, me and Iris got back in bed and slept.

I also feel like communication 'works better' just because we're already so used to discussing rules and boundaries and do check-ins and talk about mood shifts and stuff in the context of kink so those communication skills are just there. And get used.

This one's probably obvious but as a sub I love the idea of having a safe space to just ✨let go✨. It takes a lot to stop my brain from overthinking and anxious spiraling... So just having someone who can make me feel safe and secure enough that I can relax. Means a lot.

Alyra: She moves with a purpose. Very coordinated, her professional deformation is trying to move always without making noise. One would dub her as elegant, when the situation requires it. Likes constrictive garments on her upper body -corsets and stays-, but her legs need to have space to move.

Raina: Hear my struttin' do do do / Struttin' my way all over you 🎶 She has a presence. She's a shadow, she can melt in and you'll never watch her... but naturally? She struts into the room and you'll just see her. Walks with decision like she owns the place. Can't stay still for one minute. Comfy clothes, she doesn't wear skirts, doesn't like constrictive garments.

Garrett: He can get clumsy. Heavy steps, you'll hear him coming and walking in for another reason than his sister. He'll trip and fall because he's looking at the plants. Hence, he can dress formally if it's really really necessary, but the shoes needs to be broken in, large and comfy. Hates the feeling of new shoes.

Aisling: She's quite flexible and agile. Knows how to move her body, you'd look at her and think she's an air-head that trips on her own feet? Watch her cartwheeling on a running horse, and she's quite a good dancer. She'd go for trick-riding in a modern AU and be GOOD at it. If she can choose, she picks the comfiest clothes around too, stuff she can move into and that she feels no problem in getting dirty in the stables.

Radha: She's silent. Won't catch attention on purpose and keep on the side of the room at all cost. Will catch attention anyway because she's the most naturally poised and elegant of the bunch. Spine straight, quietly strutting, more than one noble mistook her for noblety or thought she was the Inquisitor, not Aisling. Likes crop tops and jackets because they won't rise up is she bends.

texture: Does your OC favor any specific kinds of cloth or textures? Is there anything they can't wear or don't like? What sort of fabrics do they prefer?

Alyra: Brocades. She has a magpie brain and will love anything shiny. Silks will feel posh and like she's clean and fresh, she'll love them. Doesn't have many issues with textures in fabric. In a modern AU, tho, she'd consider jersey a personal offense to good taste.

Raina: Will have the hickies for velvet, the texture is off for her and it's difficult to clean. Will be extremely suspicious on any fancy cloth that you can't wash easily ("You can see this dress was planned by a person who never had to take care of his own laundry <_<" she'd say). Loves linen and wool, if it's not the scratchy wool that itches your skin.

Garrett: Will love wool. You can spin it thin and make it soft, you can spin it loosely and make it thick. It's easy to wash and practical and warm. Will actually really like velvet.

Aisling: Would love velvet and spend hours caressing a velvet dress. She'd mind it being difficult to mantain. Silk is too slippery and she won't like it in contact with her skin, as well as lace. Would love jersey in a modern AU.

Radha: Doesn't like scratchy wool on her skin, at all. Loves her leathers, won't disdain some brocades and silks in rich jewel colours. Equally will hate lace, it's too frilly, it's too pricey, it scratches your skin.

hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?

Alyra: Let her hair grow when she became the Arlessa. Loves long hair and braiding her own hair, hates how much it catches dirt and leaves on the field. Having long hair the way she likes is a wild luxury.

Raina: Long hair, like skirts and much feminine clothing, give her gender disphoria. Hates herself with long hair. Leandra forced her to keep it long, she chopped it all off herself arrived in Kirkwall and never went back from a short pixie cut.

Garrett: Lets Raina do her hair, he's happy if it doesn't get in his eyes. Chill about the hair, he's extremely meticulous with his beard. His beard is his pet project, it's in shape, it's luscious, it's always tidy. Best beard in Thedas, sorry Blackwall.

Aisling: As a child, she would have given an arm to have curly hair like Radha. In the impossibility of it, she kept it long and braided back. She's good at braiding, loves to braid hair for people she loves. Cut it at her shoulders before leaving for the Conclave for practicality, and because she's too lazy to take care properly of long hair without some external help. The most interesting thing about this couple is that they don't necessarily think of them as a couple - they feel attraction to each other, but again, none of them really consider the other as a "lover".

I've always unilaterally speculated that, excluding one-night stands, the type of partner Valerie would actually favour is someone a little more gentle, or someone with a relatively weaker aura/energy compared to herself, like Raver, like Takemura  (who she has sent flirty texts to), and Kerry (who is in Johnny's shadow and life confusion) . She feels like someone who cares a lot about autonomy and control and doesn't like to be led around, so she is more used to "loving" and giving a helping hand to the other person. She is gentle and helpful, but in fact she is the one who makes the decisions at the beginning of every relationship.

And even if our self-centred Johnny is not the voice in her head, he will be another force fighting her for the driver's seat. But it's real fun when Johnny spends his time with Valerie. On the one hand, Johnny is attracted to her, and from time to time Valerie flirt with him, letting him mumble "we fight like old married couple people", and sometimes even agreeing they are perfect for each other. On the other hand, Relic makes it literlly impossible for their connection to really develop into sexual relationship (I want it for them tho), and they platonically allow two souls and two personalities to reveal themselves to each other, which is instead a more special connection. In Pistis Sophia, Johnny says V is not his type, but these very words help him prove how sincere and pure a commitment those dogtags symbolise. But it would be too narrow-minded to interpret this as "you're not like all the other girls". Valerie is not a lover that Johnny could leave behind. She is more like a comrade in arms that he needed to communicate with, understand and respect at all times; but he couldn't treat her as an ordinary friends either, because spiritual nakedness was much more intimate than a simple physical relationship. No matter how close a partner one has, they always keeps a part of their secret to themselves, while Johnny and V are sharing even that part of themselves with each other.

He would admire her, and she would desire him, yet they are essentially free from the shackles of a physical relationship, removing the inevitable barriers between ordinary friendship and truly building a purely intimate relationship with another person. They are constantly in a dynamic balance of intense debate and mutual compromise, with Johnny constantly asking V to listen to his advice, constantly exporting his views and goals to her, and V sometimes having to give in; but at the same time she is always asserting herself, asserting her own position, and Johnny has to accommodate her stubbornness. In the end no one is able to tip the scales in their favour, but instead they show a certain tendency to give and sacrifice at the same time. This whole process is particularly interesting, and if I were an AI outside the black wall, I would be definetely willing to observe them every day.

If there was a so-called good ending, they would not probably get married or even talk about the whole *relationship* thing. They'll say they're friends, former "roommates", current friends of benefits (define “benefits” as you wish), but everyone knows that what they have is healthier, stronger, more stable and more indestructible than any intimate relationship they've ever had.

So, my clown make-up time. Aka my few theories about plot and companions.

Seems fitting to post it right before I can see if they are right or wrong. Mostly those are just the vibes I got from EA and some Larian vids, no datamine involved. I did not read that.

Also, some things might be obvious for dnd lore nerds (affectionate). But I play only Eberron(the best setting ever, imo) and my DMs homebrew, so idgaf about wider dnd canon.

If I miss something obvious(deities, big name characters etc), that's the reason. I am going to treat BG3 as another homebrew and won't bother looking anything up. Just a PSA.

But back to vibes.

Halsin and Karlach haven't been with us for any meaningful amount of time, so I'll reserve my judgment. From what I saw in EA and panel from Hell - I love them without reservations. I am pretty sure they are meant to be 'good' companions. They will leave evil Tav, maybe even confront/try to kill them, but no backstabbing or bad surprises. Time will tell how wrong I am. So far they seem perfect to me. Just let me hold them!😭😭😭

Shadowheart does not worship Shar by choice. Maybe she's a brainwashed Selune paladin. Maybe she was just raised in a cult. But I have a feeling she only worships Shar because it is all she currently knows. 

For simplicity let's assume she was just raised in a cult. This is probably the first time she is completely outside of her cult group and is free to learn about the world without superiors telling her what she should think about it.

And our actions can help her break out of programming and decide for herself if she even wants to keep following Shar or just be a secular person/swap deities instead. Or she can decide that outside world is just as bad as she was told by cult superiors and double-down on sharran cult.

(Brainwashed selunite prisoner or even selunite agent under the deep cover would be much cooler/angstier, tbh. I'd prefer it. I just do not want to get my hopes up)

Really hope it's just Dragon Age trauma, and I will love Gale without reservations on subsequent playthroughs tho.

Lae'zel seems pretty straightforward. Ride or die if you look to get rid of tadpole. Will try to kill you if you embrace its powers. 

We already know she can learn emotional intimacy from us. So I guess we can make her see that there are more ways to live a life than just gith ways, and that those other ways are just as valid. And that she has a choice in what she wants to do with her life. To me she is another case of 'raised in a cult' tbh.

Overall I get a feeling that outside of tadpole decision she's your bestie no matter what you do or who you side with.

Astarion will be the most malleable/multioptional companion.

If you exile/mistreat/ignore him, he'll be recaptured and used for whatever ritual Cazador planed for him. Results might be used against you somehow. Maybe you get a chance to rescue him, but outcome might depend on how much he trusts you.

If you indulge him in assholish behaviour, give him necronomicon, let him eat tadpoles(I'm 100% sure he is the companion who will want to use all the tadpoles, as devs mentioned) and let him drink Cazador's blood to become true vampire - he will become a monster, far worse than Cazador. And he will want Tav for a thrall. And depending on powerful evil items you give him - he might just have enough power to do it, whether you want it or not.

I do not think letting him bite in Act1 it is a bad choice tho(I donate blood twice a year irl, so I cannot see that scene as anything else. What is a vampire if not a person in need of blood transfusion?). But I can totally see that evil!Astarion will use it against you. He had a taste of your blood and he wants more. And on this route he would not stop to think twice about it.

If you treat him well but push against using tadpole powers, do not give him evil book and convince him that being free of Cazador is enough and he does not need to be a true vampire - he'll still be snarky little bitch (affectionate), but no worse that embezzling magistrate/shitty judge he used to be. He will learn to be sincere with Tav, romance or not, in this route.

I hope there's middle ground where you can teach him enough morals where he can become true vampire and not be a monster. And then he can make you his equal true vampire (if you choose so). I guess that's where evil!Astarion gets a chance to deceive you and make you his thrall and slave instead.

Not sure if there's true 'I can fix him' route. Maybe? But I do not really need it, so I did not give it much thought. As long as he stays the perfect little shit he is without becoming a monster - I am happy.

Cannot say anything about Minthara, as tieflings are among my fave races and I - as a player - cannot bring myself to slaughter the whole group. So she is always dead for me. Looking forward to other players capturing her interactions though. I will enjoy her content through all of you💖

Tadpole/Daisy/Guardian. At first I thought it is straight-up tadpole manipulation. But then Larian called them The Guardian, and it got me thinking. So, is it Shadowheart's magic d20 then? Some deity looking to use us as a pawn? I am so intrigued to find out!

I never played previous BG games, so I have no opinion on Jaheira and Minsc. But I think it is not a problem because we have a new protag. So not knowing them from previous games feels very fitting, as my protag won't have to fight against player knowledge. I know of them, and it would make sense if Tav heard stories, but has no personal connection.

And it is not a slight against previous games. I just do not like crpgs as gameplay. I am so deadly bored during turn-based combat.

I get that it seeks to imitate tabletop, but it's like comparing wax fruit to real fruit, imo. I play with friends at the table. I could not care less what ttrpg we are even playing. I'm there for the people, not the system or setting.

I know how lucky I am to have my perfect DM and a great group, and I know that most people do not have this privilege, so I do not begrudge crpg popularity. It's just not what I am looking for in my videogames.

And when it comes to videogames, they are my alone time, and I have very low tolerance for turn-based videogames as a result. I'm 'real time 3rd person view' type of player.

If story reactivity was not this good, I'd be skipping BG3 too. But they got me at 'we have so many choices and consequences!' Just your basic evil/good playthrough is not enough for me. I want every little thing matter, and Larian seems committed to this in BG3. I can tolerate gameplay I don't like for this! Story variations my beloved💖

Probably will godmode my subsequent playthroughs. I do not want to be distracted from good parts by trash mobs. I will experience it as intended on the first go, but after it's auto-crit cheat all the way from second playthrough onward (but I do hope that default easymode will not feel like it wastes my time, so I don't have to).

And seeing how many different routes you can take in EA makes me very excited. It will be worth it💖

3. weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?

chrysi’s is a quarterstaff… or a scythe… she gets to whack ppl rlly hard OR she gets to feel like she’s harvesting :3 also a bow and arrow on occasion because she feels vv satisfied w hitting her target frm a distance.

azure’s.. hmmm i always imagine him w a rapier. it’s light, it takes a lot of skill to wield, and he likes the challenge of it. vv classy. 

chrysi likes to use his rapier at times too, but she does it jst to jab at ppl. stab stab stab, she’s awful!! (she’s actually p gifted at using it, but i feel chrysi’s fighting style is more practical in the sense that she knows that sometimes you’ve jst got to whack ppl to get stuff done! no need for flashiness! azure doesn’t realize he’s being flashy because that’s jst how he was taught 💀)

4. how crafty/resourceful are they?

chrysi’s been in Situations and she sure has gotten out of them!! she’s very quick on her feet and quick to assemble cockamamie schemes to get out of a rough situation. sometimes, though, she’ll fashion a way to escape a situation that is.. very very dangerous in retrospect. azure will yell at her for it later, to which chrysi always responds with, “but did we DIE?” he has no argument <//3

azure’s less prone to coming up w batshit escape plans, but he’s p decent at coming up w a reasonable response. he’s less resourceful than chrysi because of his practical he can be though!! and also because his brain doesn’t make the connections that hers does. 

5.  how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?

azure’s outfits tends to be nice slacks and a nice sweater or dress shirt.. he starts wearing band t-shirts after chrysi starts getting them for him, but he’ll always being wearing nice slacks w them, which. hm! that’s a decision! if he HAS to wear jeans, then they’ll b black jeans of course. his outfits do tend to be more practical, except for his fucking shoes. he’s always always always wearing dress shoes, even when chrysi once had to take him on a hike to investigate something. she wouldn’t stop teasing him the entire way up. altogether though, azure’s fashion sense is classy, even when casual. 

chrysi’s also p practical in her outfits, if a lot more casual. lots of off-the-shoulder shirts and shorts and ripped jeans.. okay, the off-the-shoulder shirts are a bit impractical. and her dresses are also not practical either—BUT I CAN BLAME JACKS FOR THAT! ITS HIS FAULT!!… chrysi’s a bit vain tho, so it’s also a bit of her fault too….

9. favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?

azure’s fav food is. good question. juno said baguette or croissant 💀 but jokes aside, i genuinely think he would love crêpes <3 get some fresh fruit on that bitch and he’s having an excellent time. as for least favorite.. he is french, but escargot is awful horrible disgusting <3 he’s not a picky eater (literally was thinking abt how he’d enjoy bone marrow tbh…. ) nor does he have any dietary restrictions :) 

chrysi’s fav food is chocolate strawberries 🖤 tastey!!!! she jst likes strawberries a lot in general :> least favorite ughfjdksls hmmm she doesn’t like fish that much rlly…. seafood in general isn’t her thing :/// she’s not too picky besides the seafood thing, BUT. might project my banana and honey allergy onto chrysi.. it’s okay, her mouth jst burns sometimes whenever she eats stuff w that haha, don’t worry abt it!

azure starts wearing bracelets because chrysi got them for him + now they match :) then he wears a ring for their engagement and then their marriage, and they match chrysi’s ring sets :) he also prefers silver + his fav gem is probably ruby…? matches chrysi’s eyes !!!

i wouldn’t necessarily say either of them are quick to anger. chrysi’s definitely quicker in situations (when ppl don’t LISTEN TO HER and also when they’re already infuriating.. rlly it’s not HER fault 🤷‍♀️), but what sets her off are ppl being mean to those she cares abt + they mention her parents negatively. alright, roll up your sleeves, she’s gonna pummel you!!

azures not quick to anger at EXCEPT FOR when ppl threaten chrysi or otherwise be cruel about her. he’s very ruthless when it comes to her… :)

chrysi’s defs fire, whereas azure’s more.. hm. he’s defs more earth and air.

Speaking into.the void rn bc im having a small crisis but im talking to this boy and im having a lot of complicated feelings about me bc one thing about me is i dont know what kind of queer i am bc of so many different things, like we have the religious trauma going 'your not actually queer your making it up for attention' and then i have the autism/introception issues like 'maybe youre not aroace maybe you just dont pick up on those signals differently' bc like i like the idea of a relationship as a concept but like when i think of the reality of it im just like??? Who would want someone living in their house??? Who would want to have to put that much effort into someone??? Like i do genuinely feel happier on my own and being able to not have to consult someone else on decisions that effects my life. But its also like 'oh yeah i have a partner :)))' 'this person loves m:)))' 'this is someone who will always be in your corner and values you and is attracted to you :)))' so theres that and THEN theres like 'good father figure? Hardly know her.' Like i genuinely dont know a single (cis)man in my life that i dont despise to some degree. Not to be like terfy and misandristic. What if my brain just makes me sunconsciously think im not attracted to people as a trauma response???

i tried looking up fanfiction involving hannyabul and magellan the other day and there was almost none??? i really thought theyd be .. at least a little popular ... the dynamics... arent the dynamics similar to zosan or cavendish and bartolomeo.. dont people like that.. (i wouldnt know since ive never really been a fan of the enemies/rivals to lovers trope)

im pretty sure kidd wears a beast pirate disguise? and like .. good for him... (good for me).. hes got the titties out. i love men. i also rly enjoy the few frobin moments we get when theyre in disguise, theyre super cute!! it seems like u havent been spoiled on the Biggest Moments in wano so im very very glad to hear that. it also kind of has a mystery aspect so i think its probably way more enjoyable to go in blind. there IS a special kind of anticipation when u know what's coming but.. imo its more fun to guess how things will go rather than know and be excited about it

honestly i didnt care for the setting either. in the anime tho .. big mom's introduction is so good. theres a song that plays (its in the manga too but it's way better to hear it rather than... read lyrics) and when i started wci i was still watching the anime, so i got to listen to the song. it was stuck in my head for days. very catchy. i love how theatrical it is and it really made me excited for the arc .. and then i ended up barely enjoying it LOL. also i do actually love pudding but her age also makes me go... ewww. oda made an awful decision making her 16 . gives me kyros flashbacks.. although sanji doesnt seem to be genuinely interested in her. but still like why did oda do that... why... what is the point ... wci does pick back up a bit imo after they get sanji back (which i think is the part ur at? or a little bit after?) and i honestly think it wraps up quite nicely. and yeah.. most importantly.. katakuri is introduced in the second half. lovely guy. i heart him

an issue i have post timeskip is that i actually cannot tell the women apart half the time. they all look pretty similar in the manga, although theyre distinguishable by their clothes and hair. but there was a spread (not colored) that had the main one piece women all in different clothes and with different hair and i sat there for multiple minutes trying to figure out who was who. like i genuinely couldnt tell. i miss nami's short hair,, it had so much character.. and i also miss robins short hair.. again.. it had so much character.

even on a colored cover i had a moment where i was like "is that vivi or is it nami" because it was just a solid blue. i assumed vivi based off context clues and bc.. blue. but if i hadnt had that.. i dont think i wouldve been able to tell. i have no problem with character design changing but oda makes most of the women next to indistinguishable from one another now. its really upsetting. if they had different skin tones or even just. different eye shapes. or different figures. it wouldnt be that much of an issue. but nooo he cant do that. all women who are supposed to be attractive have to look the same.

im a big fan of fukaboshi so i think anytime he was on screen my enjoyment was elevated. also zoro fighting hody(is that who it was) underwater was so cool . like how are u better than a fishman in water??? and the moments with noah... it felt like it was setting up some rly big things and i always love stuff like that. LOL YEAH sanji was even grosser on return to sabaody. i think its just not talked about as much because it wasnt a long arc and he wasnt on screen for a lot of it

oh they for sure have some good points. i also miss the silly shenanigans of pre timeskip. but overall im enjoying post timeskip more, and i do think theyre at least a LITTLE BIT blinded by nostalgia. its hard not to be tbh. i do really miss seeing all the crew together. i dont exactly mind them splitting up but .. i feel like a lot of them end up kind of sidelined. we dont get to see (just some examples) brook or chopper or nami fight much and i. i love them.. i love them just as much as the rest of the crew. i think nami has a really interesting fighting style. and brook is just fun. and people complain (validly) that chopper has been mascotified. which i wouldnt mind so much if he got more cool moments but he doesnt!! we dont even get to see him being a doctor that often :(.

like the writing is still fantastic but yeah. i agree. oda has basically run the jokes that were already pretty tired. into the ground. sanji being the one who suffers most from it. i dont mind robin having more moments where she imagines a really gruesome thing has happened to someone, for example. because she barely did that pre timeskip, and now she only does it occasionally so its not like "oh my god STOP". its still enjoyable. but. idk if theres even a prominent example of someone's character joke being awful other than sanji. like hes the only one who has a consistently awful joke. that in my opinion has never been funny. and its been made into a huge part of his character. i still love post timeskip to death bc. look at everything thats happening!! but i have a lot . lot . lot of gripes with it.

i saw someone say usopp would get conquerers haki and i big time disagree. he has the best observation haki in the crew and i feel like him getting conquerers haki would kinda cheapen that. and it cheapens his growth. why does he need to have conquerers haki to be a brave warrior of the sea? hes doing perfectly well without it. and also i dont think it fits his character. hes cowardly, has no self confidence, runs away from battles sometimes out of fear, and definitely has a huge sense of shame. from what i know, people with conquerers haki are usually super self assured, strong in a pretty traditional sense, and dont have much self doubt. usopp is like the opposite of that. i think hes very brave because he fights despite how scared he is, but the character archetype just doesn't work imo. like usopp without those characteristics is. to me. not usopp. tell me what u think!! also im like 90% sure none of this is spoilery but if it is i am so so sorry

do all places in one piece just have extra chairs or tables that are bigger? cuz there are some characters that arent of the giant race but are huge. and yet they fit on regular chairs. do u have a 8 foot tall guy walk into ur bar and u have to say "wait a second, we need to get out the big chairs" and then drag out a chair twice ur size? is that the case EVERYWHERE? or do some places not have big chairs so if ur extremely large u just have to sit in a chair thats too small for u.. or maybe u just sit on the floor. or stand.

that scene in sabaody of usopp asking rayleigh if the one piece is real, and luffy gets mad and tells usopp that he doesnt want to know, and if he finds out he will quit right now because he wont go on an adventure that isnt any fun. luffy is such a chill, silly captain, that im sure him snapping like that must be scary. usopp looked so shocked. i love their relationship. i think moments like that. really solidify how real the characters feel. like yeah, they have strong, defined morals. and they will argue and be childish and yell for the sake of their morals. i feel like a lot of media has characters with morals but it doesn't ever show them actually disagreeing with someone. let alone a friend. idk im not wording this great but i think this moment is so good. i love the moments of childishness in one piece. its very humanizing to have immaturity in ur characters

It accidentally became a hyper focus, because my brain does that when people are blatantly lying about a situation… but like. It’s like she forgot about the fact that her dumbass babydaddy actually was trying to the best of his abilities; albeit the best of his ability was calling her after a couple of hours because he didn’t know how to change a diaper and no one in the house he was living in would help him at all, wouldn’t even buy the man a pack of diapers for the child. She’s going to frame him wanting nothing to do with HER as him not wanting his child, and that’s wrong. If I had a kid with her I’d move to Lexington and never speak to her again too. Especially since she stayed tf on Facebook talking shit no matter what he did; didn’t take the kid, deadbeat, took the kid, negligent. She’s literally mad to be mad. 6 whole years later, acting like he isn’t a person capable of growth and maturity. It’s not like she’d let him see his child if he decided to try to come back into his life anyway, so I don’t understand what the fuck her problem is with him having a child that he does provide for. And if she did let him see the kid, she’d find any small detail that she could and blow it completely out of proportion to find a way to keep the kid from him, so she can bitch about him on Facebook some more and garner support from pick me bitches.

But one thing you’ll never catch my ass saying is he was right or he did things correctly or he went about his whole decision making process the right way, or that he was good to her or that he loved and supported her. He was a horrendously shitty dude to her. He loved that baby tho. Loves that baby. And I’m frankly just sick and tired of her trying to play the victim card with him abandoning his kid, and yea that’s what he did but that doesn’t mean he didn’t want his child. He didn’t want her. Was she a victim of domestic violence and abuse at the hands of her baby father? Yes. Did him leaving cause irreparable damage to their child? Yea, but that’s probably got more to do with the fact that his mother is in control of the narrative for that one and so he’s going to grow up genuinely thinking his dad didn’t want him. And that sucks. Because it’s not true.
