🍺 Red Bird Brews - a Clint/Bobbi, Bucky/Nat microbrewery fic for the 5k AU challenge from @ficwip. At least 5 people told me to make it angsty but I don't wanna do that all the time to my boy Clint so all the angst will be from Bucky instead :)

“Devil’s gone a-walking, Hawk,” he said matter-of-factly, “and there’s others out looking for him.” He inclined his head subtly at something just outside the circle of light from the campfire. A rabbit, Steve was pretty sure, seemingly normal, sitting perfectly still the way rabbits do. But as he turned back to ask how a rabbit would be looking for the devil, he saw it out of the corner of his eye. A shadow, stretching far back away from the fire, malevolent and ill-defined other than two gnarled antlers. He shivered involuntarily. “Aye,” said the old man with a grim smile. “It’s good you’re on the trail. You’ve got a knack for problem solving, far as I remember.”

It's time for a little fun!

I'm going to get back into writing and posting, and what better way than a fun weekend teasing projects, scrapped ideas, head cannons and mood boards for stories, and of course few fun ways to decide what's posted next. "My coworker."

"He's my dad."

"What?"

Who knew John Constantine would gain a ward, one being such a little mischievous bastard with bright eyes and good heart.

He certainly didn't.

Nor did he expect the stabby Robin to get into a heated argument with his ward, gesturing to his form next to Batman and spit venom.

"But‐ Damian! Look at him! I can fix him!" Danny argues back and Robin, so done with this, rips his mask off and—

Oh.

They have the same face.

Connie looks at Batman, nervous what the reveal will change.

("I don't care if you can 'fix' him, danyal! Return to Father, to me!")

Batman stares back.

("Connie is dad shaped! I chose him myself, damian! Leave me and my choice alone!")

The day will only get longer, it seems.

Swamped With Work, But Still Swimming.

Just keep swimming? Or just keep writing? ;) It's Sunday, and I don't normally work weekends if I can help it, but I fell a little behind over the week... so here I am. It's okay though. I didn't have anything else planned for the weekend, other than running an errand yesterday, so I'm fine with working today. I'm kind of swamped with work. Here's what's on my plate: - Finishing up a 4,000-word order on a kitchen appliance. I have already written over 2,000 words, so I have no doubt I'll finish it tonight. It's due on Tuesday, but I would rather submit it before the weekend ends. - Completing a 700-word order on home decor/furniture. I've been receiving work from this client at least once or twice a week for several weeks now, so I found my groove with writing it. It's due by 3am (tonight into tomorrow), but I know I'll get it done on time. And that's what's on the agenda today. If you're writing anything this weekend, I hope the gears are turning well! As for me, I need to stop procrastinating and get my work done. :)
