HNY fellow writer!
Share this message on other fellow's blogs, and if you are not a writer forward this to one.
Which scene from the works you will publish/update this year are you most nervous to people to read about?
Ex. Chapter 3, scene 3
Oh, that's a tough question to answer. Honestly, my entire book is pure drama, and I'm generally very nervous about it once it's published. But what about the rest of you? Do you have a scene or maybe a line in your book that you're nervous to showcase to readers?

What could you consider a good or great piece of literature?
Is it the characters?
Is it the places the narrative is set in?
Is it the undertone of the narrative like motivations, plots, schemes to feelings?
There are many ways a novel can be good or great but what would your answer be???
What is your favourite novel?
What novel do you find a good read?

I've shared quite a few writing advice posts, mostly inspired by my own writing process and experience. But I'd like to open up my asks to you.
Do you have any writing process or publishing questions? I'm indie publishing but I did start down the trad route so I may be able to help there too or point you to someone who can. Ask away!

Do You Use Writing Prompts?
Do You Use Writing Prompts?
Photo by Liza Summer from Pexels First of all, the fact that all the words in my title are capitalized probably grates on someone’s nerves. I know this title didn’t need capitals for ‘you’ and ‘use’ but I just can’t stand how ugly the title looks without those nice clean capitals. So, I’m sorry to anyone who is frustrated about that. Now, back to the point at hand. I’m curious if you like and…

Non-Binary Characters in Fantasy... I’ve never seen em’.
Hi! I’m @lighthearted.writer on Instagram!
I just realized I’ve never read a fantasy book with a non-binary character. Come to think of it... it’s been a while since I’ve read a book with a non-binary character who just happened to be non-binary in any genre.
It’s not just non-binary characters either. It’s asexual, transgender, and many more aspects of the LGBTQ+ spectrum that’s not included in fantasy. Everyone includes gay and lesbian characters... but bisexual characters? ehhhhhhh... I wish we had more of them!
I want to see some more non-binary characters in fantasy. They’re lacking right now, and they need to have some more representation in these magical worlds. It shouldn’t be too hard to include em’.
:)

I am trying to plot my first book since, like, 2015 or so and I forgot how hard plotting is and how fucking indecisive I am. And how much of the story I genuinely do not know right off. Like I have a section of plot points and then nothing for like 75 pages. Does anyone have any tips? I feel like I am going to scream.

seven fun & quick questions to ask yourself about your side characters
1) if your side character had been in the main characters’ shoes, what would’ve gone differently in the book?
2) what is overall their perfect day?
3) what is the absolute worst thing that could happen to them?
4) what is the no.1 stupid thing they do that others would roll their eyes at?
5) are they content with the people they surround themselves with?
6) do they cringe away from children or do baby toes make them happier than anything?
7) how does your character react to people they do not like?

✨✨✨Question: what is your favorite part of a book????📚📖✨✨✨ Personally I like right before the HEA. That moment when there is still a possibility of our leading couple not getting together again. It is that moment when I find myself counting pages to see just how much trouble they can get into before they ride off into the sunset. What made this part so enjoyable for me?? That was my question on this #teatalkthursday . I think it might be because there is still that threat that we won’t get a HEA. That fear that this book might be too much like reality. An interesting thought I had with my #ladygreytea #writerslife #teatime #ladygreytea #uncleiroh #writingromance #amwriting #amdrinkingtea #whiteandblueteaset #writingquestions #HEA #happilyeverafter #booksthatmakeyouswoon #pirateromance #wordsonapage #writersofinstagram #writersofig #writing #writingcommunity #romancecommunity #thankyouforlisteningtomytedtalk https://www.instagram.com/p/CTUjTzrLGcG/?utm_medium=tumblr

What are today’s word count goals? I’m hoping to write another 2.5k and hit 20k by midnight, not sure how realistic that is considering my schedule. . . . This week’s word count goal is to hit 30k, the week afterwards will most likely be much busier as I have some deadlines coming up. . That being said there’s a cool weekend announcement coming later today! 😎 . . . . What are your word count goals for today and the rest of the week? It’s ok if they’re small, we all start somewhere and our month schedules are likely completely different. . . . . . . #writingquestions #writersontwitter #writersoninstagram #writersontumblr #writingupdate #whenshescribbles #filmeditor #caffeinefix #wordcount #nanowrimo #scribblesprintparty #encouragement #writersencouragewriters #writinglove #writingday

How to Find Analysis
What are the characters like in the story?
• Pick a character and show how he/she struggles through out the story
• Show how a character changes at three different points in the story
• How do characters interact with one another?
• How is the character pulled by events or other characters?
Analysis: The character changes/struggles/interacts/is pulled because he/she (some reason such as needs growth, gets confused, is hateful/loving/conflicted etc...)
What is the structure or storytelling style?
• What are the beliefs or culture of the storyteller?
• Is the narrator reliable?
• Does the story teach you something?
• Is the story linear? Episodic (divided into stories)? Chronological?
• Does this story have one storyteller or several?
Analysis: The narrator believes/is reliable/explains X because it accomplishes Y.
What does the story teach you about the culture or time period of the setting?
• What are social codes (family structures, gender dynamics, rituals, behavior)?
• What is the political situation in the story?
• What is the socio-economic structure in the story?
• What are the moral codes, religious influences, and cultural forces?
Analysis: The author/the characters/the narrator exist or believe in X because it shows Y.
What are the themes of the story?
• Show how a character struggles with a theme through the story?
• Show how the theme is illustrated in three scenes in the story?
• How do two of the themes interact throughout the story?
• How do characters get pulled by the theme?
Analysis: The theme of the story acts in X way because of the character type/story structure/interactions between characters.

He just won his first writing competition! #fiveyearsold #alreadywinning #authorschallenge2019 #sambear #writingpartner Probably my longest standing writing partner is my best friend from school. I stole her off my boyfriend at the time and she's my favorite person in the universe I'm not related to.
