Summoner potential is endless. You get an influencer who has perpetual tiktok voice and everyone considers it to be an accent (it... could be considered one?). And maybe with the right combination of magic and machinery (from Reginn's homeland) they can continue to do what they do. You get a Christian missionary who considers it "Part of His Plan" that they've arrived here to "Do The Lord's work and spread the good word" (this probably has extreme political repercussions whether they are well-meaning or deeply evil using this as a revenue for power/control. It's a whole ass historical domino effect). You get a conspiracy theorist with an INCREDIBLY skewed perception of the world, so whenever any Hero asks Anything about that Summoner's world, you're just getting bunk information. Net-negative information. Summoner, who when the Miriel FBs took place, believes the moon landing was faked and that the earth is flat. You get an evil politician and the Order just kills them within a week and goes back to the drawing board (self indulgent scenario. More compelling hypothetical would be the Order being forced to work with that guy, much like the fallen Heroes, becomes a whole ass political drama. Also might depend on how evil the politician is though, sometimes you do just have to make it look like an accident). You get the opposite end of political radicalization where this Summoner is disenfranchised and among many things is anti-monarchy, making all the royals and nobles within the Order's ranks a bit uncomfortable. You get Jerma985

The Snape fans are currently whining about the fact that Papa Essiedu is playing him. They're claiming that the reboot will make him unrecognisable or whatever 🙄
I just hope that they handle the race issue properly because there could be troubling implications about SWM because there'd be a racial angle to it (the Snape stans are saying that it makes Harry being a wizard cop that much worse {he hunts dark wizards not dark skin and also, not everything's about America} and Marauders stans are saying that a so called 'incel' shouldn't be played by a white man).
This is just so delightful to me, on my list of worst Harry Potter subfandoms the Snape stans easily take the second spot (only beaten by Marauders stans). Snape is an iconic character, i'm glad a black man is lucky enough to play him, good for him and fuck everyone else.

i'm gonna be the one insufferable bastard on this earth that liked everhood 2, huh
#my posts#everhood 2#everhood 2 spoilers#if i get right down to it. what did i want from this game?#well i wanted more BANGER music. i wanted to be overwhelmed and surprised and lost and to feel shrimp emotions on existential scale#did i get these things? well... yeah! i did actually! were they worth anything less in that moment for how it ended?#it was real to me in that moment. i remember these feelings. i remember them warmly. those little aliens destroyed me i tried so hard#and the world where i got the green weapon had me making the crying cat meme face#i burst out fucking laughing many times#they happened and they were real then so why not now?#and honestly what COULD you do with the narrative at that point? anything less than fundamentally radical would ring hollow#like you could do a traditional plot that functions correctly and moves characters along arcs. but is that REALLY what you wanted?#in EVERHOOD? In everhood. you wanted a normal plot structure. in everhood?#and what else could you have even done that wasnt in essence rehashing everhood 1? i think i liked it better than where it was ALMOST going#it felt like a fever dream to play. like watching alice in wonderland. shit just happens man. these stories are rare#we've made the euthanasia rollercoaster into a fractal. spiral tighter run faster reach higher yearn forever.#fall into the kaleidoscope and grab your popcorn to watch the infinite combinations of static on the screen#you were there. you felt things. you can draw anything out of nothing. you can send everything back to nothing. for the love of god make ar#any art. any quality. just something that was real to you in that moment and in so doing forever. if someone tells you youre doing it wrong#then you should explode with your mind and in your art and LAUGH#apathy's a tragedy and boredom is a crime anything and everything all of the time#(its fine to dislike it i just found it fascinating in a way which is often more interesting than ''good''.)#(i live for the intersection of absurdity and meaning)#also i felt closer to the companions in this game than EH 1 since you spent more time in them#also cmon we got time with the sexiest character in the foreign gnome universe. the pandering one for a CERTAIN demographic. w big assets.#THATS RIGHT IM TALKIN ABOUT IRVINE BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!#you thought i was gonna say someone else? well tough shit. youre wrong.#anyway my main quibble with this game really was the english translation needed more time to cook for real

I could write a whole ESSAY about how broadway wouldn’t be a thing without Jewish men escaping hate through art and why that makes Harmony SO important but I don’t think the American Theatre Wing is ready for that.

im about to say something racially motivated so watch out
black american women are my favorite people on the planet.
i just saw a video where an artist is painting publicly in what i assume is a tourist location and she recorded a bunch of strangers' reactions when they pass by and see it and its good vibes all around just in general. old white men telling her its beautiful, old white ladies telling her its beautiful, latinas/latinos telling her its beautiful, and then the black american women come strolling in like "DID YOU DO THAT? NO THE FUCK YOU DID NOT! LOOK AT YOU! NOW THIS IS TALENT. NO FUCKING WAY. YOU ATE DOWN BITCH." just endless loud gushing and making this artist feel like shes an honest to god celebrity merely by being excellent in public.
when a black american woman is giving you a compliment, its like she takes your head in both of her hands and forces you to maintain eye contact while she runs through all your best features that even you didnt realize you had until you walk away feeling like you just had a brush with god
and its not even unusual at all. the amount of times i see a black american woman throwing a whole mini party for someone just for one tiny thing is insane. you're wearing a cute outfit? a black american woman is gonna let you fucking know. youre displaying any skill whatsoever? a black american woman is your impromptu cheerleader for a few minutes. youre in trouble and need help? a black american woman is the first to step in.
and black american men arent far behind them. one time a black dude said he liked my shoes and im still riding that high 4 years later. when a black american gives you a compliment, it feels like you just got handed an award. not because their opinion is more valuable than everyone elses but because they are so good at making you feel good about yourself. its authentic and sometimes jarring because they dont let anything get in the way of them and delivering a compliment they mean deep down in their soul. and then they walk away and probably forget all about it while you replay it in your head for years to come when you need a boost in confidence.
im so envious of this ability. all my compliments are said with the most nervous and overly polite tone you ever heard in your life and it never lands the way "you look fucking hot as shit" from a black american woman does. PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO GIVE COMPLIMENTS LIKE YOU IM SO ENVIOUS. like do i just need to get hot and confident? i feel like nobody would want a compliment from me because i look like i dont have my life in order. BUT if a black american woman who looked like she didnt have her life in order complimented me it would probably still make my whole day WHAT MAGIC IS THIS AND HOW DO I GET SOME IM FURIOUS

I do not understand the insistence of people going on a character tag and then posting their weird negative thoughts and vibes about them in the tag not even in a critical lens or engaging in literary analysis just straight up ‘I don’t like them I don’t know why people do’ and then saying it MUST be because of something deficient in the fans of said character and reaching the back breaking conclusion that they’re (some negative connotation). You can just not like them you don’t need to craft a very real societal phenomenon that doesn’t even fit this and isn’t all-encompassing to what is essentially you just not liking a jpeg.

Saw the Minecraft movie. I liked the funny moments but the plot was such a snooze fest. It’s the kind of movie you have to turn your brain off for and I kept thinking the whole time so you best believe I wasn’t super stoked about it

The author has clearly made a mistake in not fulfilling the entirety of @lanoste 's precognitive dream where Black Haze came back with a different art style and Lanoste on the cover, so I have taken it upon myself to rectify this matter.

Bi culture is not relating (for me, it's also being irritated) to any 'bisexual stereotype' like 'bisexual sitting pose', 'finger guns', 'frogs', etc.
I'm a bi who doesn't fit in these stereotypes, and constantly seeing them on social media makes me just feel awkward (?). Like, no, I'm sure not all bisexuals are like that, what do you mean? I personally, due to my back problems, sit straight (and even without them, I would cause it's comfortable), absolutely hate frogs, am not a 'golden retriever man' (or w/e is that), etc. Not seeing bisexuals who don't fit in the stereotypes is a bit (a lot) appalling, since there are zero bisexuals in a place where I live, so that's why I try to find them online... soo, any bisexuals who don't fit into the stereotypes?

My 9 (2009) hot take is that it isn't more fondly remembered because the ending kinda sucks. This is what happens when you aim a movie at odd children and then kill off all the main characters but act like your ending is happy because you're just ignoring their individual personhood and then assuming your audience won't on some level notice.

I’m not trying to be a hater but when ppl self insert as like…a poc character’s sibling…do they envision themselves as that ethnicity or do they change the character’s ethnicity like I am deeply confused 😭

Reblog for bigger sample size maybe? I really wanna know!
Watching tv, u grow up feeling like everybody starts dating in highschool at the latest and that that's what's supposed to happen, but it's really so different for everyone. I now know plenty of people in their 20s who have never dated anyone.
(Tbh I don't hang out with many people older than me so I haven't heard much from those demographics yet (I'm 22))
Also please tell me about your first date and/or first partner! If u want to :)
