Hey I just finished Hilda season 3 and I am forever changed.

I joke that I could write a thesis about some media but I could really truly talk for hours about how fucking good Hilda is.

It’s core strength, which tears at my heart and soul so earnestly, is that it is not just a story about child adventurer, but equally a story about the MOTHER of a child adventurer and it’s just so beautiful. So impactful.

I think Johanna may be one of my favorite characters… ever. I think she is Absolutey Incredible.

Season three was just so amazing, the whole series is. I beg y’all to watch it because it’s so so good and deserves all the love it can get.

My 9 (2009) hot take is that it isn't more fondly remembered because the ending kinda sucks. This is what happens when you aim a movie at odd children and then kill off all the main characters but act like your ending is happy because you're just ignoring their individual personhood and then assuming your audience won't on some level notice.

Watching tv, u grow up feeling like everybody starts dating in highschool at the latest and that that's what's supposed to happen, but it's really so different for everyone. I now know plenty of people in their 20s who have never dated anyone.

(Tbh I don't hang out with many people older than me so I haven't heard much from those demographics yet (I'm 22))

the show is actually way better than the book bc it turns key characters not white which actually takes away some of the extremely terrible implications of white ownership. most of the people mad about the show were people mad about this aspect and them making the homophobic parts into less homophobic more explicitly gay parts

Every once in a while, when the mood strikes, I go look up reviews for some of my favorite albums, and it is always an experience, because so much of it are mean shots at the artist as a person.

Mr Reviewer, do you think that Rick Astley's album 50, so titled to call attention to his being an elder man, and thematically about the humble hope that comes from aging, and also the being more comfortable in one's skin that it brings, and in consequence, a deeper honesty about oneself, one's limitations and needs... had as intended target audience "the kids"? That he was coming to fight the spot with Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Harry Styles?
