PLEASE please tell me your diversity (PoC states) headcanons, there’s so many white boys in there and my face blindness is struggling and I swear every time there is diversity for a state it’s just them as a different kind of white

[unhinged conspiracy theorist voice] ok. so . the "states," as they are so called, are shown to have relatively human-like lives. New York has an uncle Paulie, implying the existance of a father and a mother. Utah has a PRESUMABLY HUMAN wife and (Many) (weird fucked up state-human hybrid??) children, confirming(he mentions his pullout game at one point) the possibility of reproduction. California even mentions 'flying home' for the holidays! Despite all of this, At least some of are shown to have been alive since the 1700s, so they are obviously not just normal human representatives!!! This being said. The states that have been shown in the 1700s were ONLY the ones that WERE considered states, or rather colonies, at the time. MY THEORY IS !!! When a state or colony or province or WHATEVER is formed, a mortal human is sort of. Chosen. by some kind of Force (presumably ben) To represent that state . forever. AND! TO ELLLLLABORATE! [rolling the L as if it were an R] IF AN ENTIRE COUNTRY OR GOVERNMENT IS FORMED, IT GETS ITS OWN, BRAND NEW REPRESENTATIVE! WHO WAS NEVER MORTAL! JUST LIKE WHAT HAPPENS IN THE STATE HISTORY EPISODES . i thank you🙇

Oh my god a human being chosen as the immortal representative of a new state is DELICIOUS. Do they get a say in it? Can they still do human stuff (like have more kids in Utah's case) after they're chosen? The story potential here is so yummy..............

There is *something* going on between New York and Massachussets but I have *no* clue what it is

I believe Rhode Island and Connecticut are brothers. RI is obviously the youngest, but Connecticut has middle sibling vibes and idk who the oldest would be

Idk what’s up with Wisconsin and Illinois

I don’t even know how to describe what’s going on in between New Hampshire and Vermont

Maryland and Delaware are mortal enemies maybe?

So in the course of this drawing I found myself wondering, “surely Alaska has some surfing with all that coastline!” And thus, I learned about Yakutat Bay, the surfing capitol of Alaska. So I think Alaska would at least be somewhat capable of surfing, albeit not as good as Surfer Bro Cali or Miss “I literally invented this” Hawai’i.

But hey, like I said, he’s trying his darn best!

One of my wttt hcs is that the table itself can change length.

It depends on how many states would be present in the meeting. If there's a character who appears midway through the meeting, the table would actually just stretch so there'll be room.

Today I bring: California loves clubbing. Drinking fancy drinks even if he can make most of them himself, being flirty to 10 ppl at once, dancing to the loudest and most unsingable music ever and chiling after it is calmer around closing time and just relaxing.

He doesn't mind pubs n bars, but he is going out to dance his ass out, not to drink and forget or just be a lil bitch like most of the NE or some of the sad drinkers, "like live a little, stop sulking" type of guy.

He absolutely doesn't go out with those ppl that don't do anything, but sit and drink, he thinks it's just a little too boring. If you ask for the simplest beer that you can buy in any shop and just sit there, at least do it at home where u can watch tv and hear smth above this goddamn music.

Also it might be a main reason why a lot of states don't know it about him, simply because they are "too fucking lazy to move around and not just sit there" and also main reason why he will never come to places like that with most of the south who know like two dances that he'd rather die than be seen with in a club he likes.

Most clubs he visits already know him well enough that their workers could chit chat with him anytime n know his name.

Idk, he just seems like a person to overdress and have the best time of his life even before he can drink anything. (which cannot relate bc clubs would kill my ass, I'll take bars any day over them)

Illinois?? Him for real?? Yes.. he’s heavily based on that one sad boy from that one show I never actually saw but know he is a sad sad boy in Chicago which is all I need to know. To me Illinois is… Italian, and maybe mixed with smth else. Dunno yet, same with eye color. But ahhh I didn’t really do any research for him, so I still dunno that much, if anyone wants to enlighten me go ahead

He’s SO passionate about his food, this is why he and Ny can’t be in the same kitchen at a time unless they agree on what they’re gonna make and how they’re gonna make it 😒 least they end up brawling and screaming at each other

I was wondering what your oddly specific headcannons on any states are or I was wondering if you had any

Yeahh, most of them are gonna be about Alaska and his cities tho (for obvious reasons)

Alaska works in the Arctic Council, as he is the only state to be a part of it anyways. I have more things to say about this but I wont here, but it is a very big topic honestly

Fairbanks has a fear of water he can't see the bottom of. They can swim, but they've been afraid of it since the Fairbanks Flood of 1967

Alaska BIG fan of many science branches... although the Arctic Council requires him to know Earth Sciences, his favorites are probably astronomy and some zoologies (which I've elaborated on the astronomy one particularly in a post before)

Maine knows his invasive and native species

Alaska's biggest opposition is PETA. They fight every year cuz of the Iditarod. They took his moose dropping festival and they will not take any more from him

I've seen this headcanon around and I completely agree. Alaska IS a very much a blankets kinda guy, it's just so true

Montana (And Alberta and if u consider Saskatchewan to be family of Alberta then them, too) has Blood A type blood (non specific on positive or negative)

Hawai'i has a blood type of A (non specific on positive or negative)

Oak has a blood type of O (not because of O in Oklahoma, there's genuine research behind this reason) and New Mexico also has blood type O (non specific on positive or negative)

Alaska has either a blood type of B or AB (non specific on positive or negative)

Vermont is allergic to dust, North Dakota is allergic to pollen, tho other states might be since pollen is a comment allergy

Florida's favorite iditarod team (from this year) was Anna Berington's, since her team of doggies were named off of a "troublemaker" theme. The Dog's names are Ruckus, Rampage, Havoc, Chaos, and Mayhem

Maine has the fastest reflexes/reaction time, cuz yknow... he's basically a cat. Cats have one of the fastest reflexes and reaction times in the whole animal kingdom

Idk this is all I can think of so far, I might update it if I think about it more. It's hard for me to consider what is "oddly specific" but Im sure blood types is certainly oddly specific for me to have thought about before
