You reached over, taking a sip of Dallas’ beer, feeling the cool liquid go down your throat as you watched him and his friends play a game of poker. You sat on one of his knees, the other bouncing up and down.

You mindlessly fiddled with his bracelets. Dragging your hand up and down his arm, eventually making it to his hands. At first, your fingers fiddled with his rings, feeling the cold metal. Twisting and taking one off at one point. Dallas was focused on the game. He had mastered the poker face.

You trail your finger around his hand, tracing the veins. Feeling the bumps and curves of his hand. Dallas noticed this quickly, you just didn't notice the smug smirk he had on his face.

“Like my hands, doll?” he didn't even look up from the cards.

You blushed, flustered and embarrassed. You turned your head, burying your face in his neck, wrapping your arms around his waist. You heard laughing and whistling from the others.

“Shut up…” you mumbled, smelling his cologne. It was strong, but you liked it. Occasionally, you'd even spray it on your clothes so you'd smell like him. He chuckled at your embarrassment, keeping his focus on his cards,“Oh, make me.”

You groaned, your face hot. You sat there for another few minutes before Dallas got tired of waiting. He chuckled again,” sorry boys, I have somethin’ I need to do.

He grabbed you, throwing you over his shoulder. You could hear the whistling and calling.

“Hey!” You lightly punched his back as he walked to his room. He threw you on the bed. You laughed.

He crawled on top of you, kissing your lips before flopping beside you, wrapping his arms around you, pulling you closer. You laid your head on his chest with a smile.

He chuckled,” yep…”

You buried your face in his shoulder, smelling his cologne (that he stole). You loved times like this. When he dropped the tough guy act and gave you all the affection you wanted. He was a softie once you got past that hard exterior.

He kissed your head, squeezing you tightly.”i love you.”

“I love you too.” You softly pecked his neck and sighed. The both of you were content to just lay there for the rest of the day, just enjoying each other's company.

If Terezi is trying to raise Dave's combat abilities, then what they're saying here is that John will become an exceptional fighter.

Currently, he's not too bad - but that's mostly due to the strength of his equipment, rather than his own power. Maybe that's going to change.

Everyone keeps saying, or at least heavily implying, that the Scratch marks the absolute end of the session. We already knew the kids were going to survive this, since they're planning to meet the trolls - but I always assumed that the game would be over.

But what Terezi seems to be saying here is that after the Scratch, Dave can still gain experience as a Player - as if the game will, in fact, continue. Keep talking, Terezi.
