ʚ In all honesty, it was a bit of a surprise for him when you had become sick. Elves never truly fell ill so he wasn’t entirely sure what to do when a human became sick 

ʚ Of course, that doesn’t mean that he simply left you as is. He couldn’t have you dying - after all. He couldn’t have you leaving him 

ʚ Thranduil has some of the healers tend to you, hoping that it would be enough to help you. This may in fact be the first contact with other people he has permitted since you’ve married him 

ʚ Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t still keep a watchful eye here and there - just to make sure no one was overstepping their line when it came to you 

ʚ The second you were getting better he shooed off the healers and decided to take care of you himself, gave him more opportunity to show you affection - a part of him liked when you were sick, you didn’t have the energy to fight him back

ʚ Hadn’t the slightest idea what to do when you had fallen sick. Truth be told he was never really familiar with humans until you came around - so to see you coughing and sneezing made him question whether this was genuine or whether you were acting 

ʚ When he realises that you are not in fact, acting, he would be lying if he said he hadn’t had a few thoughts. Knowing that you were sick and most likely weak meant that you would be compliant 

ʚ Probably made everything ten times harder for you. Threatened to withhold medication should you act up as you usually did 

ʚ Also used this opportunity to show his affection to you without having you protest. And if you did? Well, there was the threat of him simply ‘leaving you there to suffer’

ʚ Of course he did ensure that you were tended to at the end of the day because he couldn’t risk the one he loved actually dying - right?

His eyes were first set upon the One Rings whereabouts, desperately scouring the area he’d been given when his gaze was drawn upon you. Mindlessly humming away and organising papers without a clue he was even there.

He became instantly infatuated.

He became instantly infatuated.

At first, he tried to ignore the aching urge to seek you out every hour, just to watch how oblivious you were to him constantly shadowing you.

It gave him some kind of dominant rush, knowing he could creep up on you whenever he wished without you having any idea in the world.

After a week, he became bored and unsatisfied with simply following you. He needed more. Much more.

Sauron sent 12 ringwraiths for the One Ring first, despite knowing he needed to be near you badly, he also had a bigger need for dominating more than one person. Taking the world.

Your ignorance to his stalking made capturing you so easy for the Nazgul.

You are forced into Mordor to stay with him, in his quarters or rooms whilst he watches over his armies and the war.

Nobody there can or will help you.

The orcs live to serve him, they won’t help you escape.

No Kings or Lords will assist you, they are more focused on the ring and the war.

Nobody even knows you are there.

You simply cannot outrun him.

You are ordered to be at his side or within his eyeline at all times, if he cannot be with you he will have orcs guarding you. To make sure you don’t leave and to ensure nothing can hurt you.

Being in Mordor is both very confusing and horrifying for you. Sauron barely has time for you since he is so busy hunting after the ring and monitoring his land, you simply don’t know if you’re in Mordor to stay or be killed. Nothing has been explained to you.

On the off chances he does get to see you, physically, he cannot keep himself off you.

Grabbing your arm or pulling you against his side, gripping your face with his armoured hand to get a closer look at you for the first time, despite your struggles against him.

Sometimes just holding you against him by the waist and doing whatever he needs without talking to you.

His constant clutches and strength leave you bruised in places, but he tries to make it up to you.

He will try to woo you with jewellery he forced others to smith. Gold necklaces and bracelets with extensive shiny gemstones.

Your cries and pleas don’t do much to help you. He simply stands and waits until you are done begging to be let go.

He doesn’t explain to you why you’re there.

He doesn’t even think what he’s feeling is love, just some sick obsession that means you must be near him.

If you tried to escape (and obviously failed) he would be more than furious, ordering orcs to drag you back by your collar and throw you into the darkest room, locking it until he can get to you.

When he finally gets to you on his free moments, he clutches your face with both hands and brings you close to his mask, hissing empty threats of death and torment if you ever tried that again.

Face it, you’re stuck there until someone defeats him once more.

When you came out to Sauron about you being trans, you were relaxing in his study as he worked, and in the comfort of the moment you felt yourself have the courage to murmur out, “Sauron, I need to talk to you about something really important…”

· With those words, Sauron’s protective nature immediately kicked in and strode towards you, causing you to look up at him in surprise “What happened my prince? Who hurt you?”

· His soft tone made your heart melt, and it took you a moment for you to gather yourself before you managed to find your voice, “N-no, no one hurt me, it’s just…I just wanted to tell you that… I’m a trans guy.”

· Sauron just stood staring at you for a few moments before he spoke, “What’s your point? You are still my husband and I worship the ground you walk upon….and you don’t scare me like that again…I thought you were going to tell me that you were leaving…”

· Sauron most definitely holds a feast in your honour after you tell him about you being trans, and even has a special crown with matching robes created for you. Although, as much as Sauron loves you, he refuses to have a separate throne made for you, you sit in his lap. Nowhere else.

· During the feast, Morgoth even allowed you to have the seat of honour, because he knew how much this day would mean to both you and Sauron. But to be fair, even if he tried to take the seat off you, he didn’t doubt that Sauron would throw him off it to give it to you.

· The most memorable moment of the feast was when Sauron discreetly raised his goblet, filled with his favourite wine, in your honour, and although it wasn’t obvious to anyone but you, you could tell that he was secretly very happy that you had enough trust in him to tell him something so personal.

· And when the feast finally finishes and you two get a quiet moment together, he makes sure to murmur loving words to you as he presses kisses into your shoulder.

Look I don’t mind writing for Mairon. Like Mairon x Reader or if you guys want stuff on my opinion of his character, but this doesn’t quantify as appropriate as per the rules I have posted.

** I know I have written reader being attacked/tortured but I feel there is a distinct difference of reader getting out of that situation compared to writing about a character who would enjoy committing such acts **

ʚ You had caught his eye during a celebration of both kingdoms. You were a princess and from the moment he first laid eyes on you he was completely mesmerised. It had probably been the first time he looked upon a woman and thought she was blessed with the appearance of starlight - since his late wife, at least 

ʚ At first he would have ignored it, deeming it as a simple infatuation and trying to continue the rest of the night as he had before. However, he kept finding his eyes lingering to you no matter how hard he tried to distract himself with something else 

ʚ It is only after many failed attempts that he would eventually question your identity, simply questioning one of your people. Your name remained in his mind like a broken record even days after the event, he couldn’t help but say it whilst he was alone to see how it would feel upon his tongue 

ʚ Knowing now that you were a princess, it wasn’t very difficult to find more information about you. That’s exactly what he distracted himself with for the coming weeks, gathering every little speck of info on you that he possibly could. Every time he tried to stop, tell himself this was irrational, indecent, he found himself suppressing his conscience and continuing on

ʚ Every opportunity that he had to meet with your kingdom, he took it. Which was surprising to your father considering that it was common knowledge that Thranduil preferred to remain in his own realm and not concern himself with other kingdoms. Now, he had a reason - you. With everytime he saw you the elvenking felt as though he was falling deeper into this pit that he actively dug for himself 

ʚ All he thought of was you, your beauty, that smile which drove him up the wall, the bright look you would give him. And he wanted it all for himself

ʚ So one can imagine his frustration when he learnt of all the suitors that were presented to you. Even if you did turn them down - the fact that they dared even attempt to steal you away drove him to a place that he never thought was possible. And soon, you began to notice a disturbing trend - the disappearances of these suitors 

ʚ Thranduil had gone so far off the edge and he had only exchanged a few words with you, only met you a handful of time. He wanted more - needed it. Which is exactly what influenced his next actions. Despite only meeting you a few times, the next time you saw him - he proposed to you. You were flattered but of course, turned this down. After all, you barely knew him outside of political means. 

ʚ It angered him, greatly. And the next thing you knew, your father was excitedly telling you of your new engagement to the elvenking of the Woodland Realm and this time - you had no choice

ʚ You were wedded to him and thus, brought to Mirkwood as his wife and queen. You were thrown-off, even after you blatantly refused his proposal he had gone behind your back and spoke with your father? Of course your old man would agree! A princess from a lower kingdom being married off to one of the elven kingdoms. . . who would refuse such an offer? It opens up a number of opportunities

ʚ Yet, as time passed you quickly realised that Thranduil’s infatuation was something far darker than you could have ever imagined. He was obsessed with you, to a degree that brought you more than just fear. If you denied him the love that he, somehow, had for you in outrageous amounts - you would suffer consequences. You were never permitted to leave his chambers, you were made to rely solely on him 

ʚ You were expected to be his perfect little wife and, quite frankly, he wouldn’t take lightly to you refusing to conform to his demands. You were made to be the perfect replacement for who he had lost - in his own, sick way

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤ

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ ㅤㅤㅤ MAIRON 

ʚ You had first caught his eye during his early days of being in Eregion, after befriending Celebrimbor during the forging of the rings where he posed as Annatar. He was surprised to learn that you were, in fact, Celebrimbor’s daughter - but immediately turned back to his work and tried to rid himself of the small interest that he had taken the first few times that saw you 

ʚ However, soon he began to notice that his little interest was not one-sighted. Yes, Mairon knew good and well that his appearance as Annatar was fair, so he wasn’t too surprised the few times he caught you, a young princess, staring at him. Did that mean he wasn’t prideful in this? Of course not, it was feeding not only his ego but now, his interest 

ʚ He found himself taking his time, leading you on for a little and deducing whether or not you would be worth pursuing - and for a certain time he even scolded himself. After all, he was here on a very strict mission - not to be infatuated with his enemy’s daughter

ʚ But soon. . . he found these thoughts twisting. What more if he win you over, take you as a form of a prize while he succeeded in his plan? This sudden dark twist in thoughts is what led him to pursue you and so, a bit of a blossoming romance developed between the two of you 

ʚ Well, that is what it appeared as to you. You were young and head-over-heals for the charming elf who had mysteriously found his way to your kingdom. In a way, you were blinded: and all by the concept of first love 

ʚ Mairon was convinced he had you under his little finger and with every passing day he felt himself becoming more enthralled by you, in ways that he would have never imagined. Of course, he wouldn’t show this, he would hide this growing fascination - no. . . obsession. 

ʚ You would never see the number of dark looks sent at those who dared laid their eyes on you, nor be aware of the various people of your kingdom mysteriously gone missing after certain interactions with you. It appeared that you overlooked how possessive he tended to become when the two of you were in public, much less in your own home

ʚ All the signs were there, but you were blinded by your love for him. That was until everything went south and after his ‘temporary leave’ you learnt of his treachery from your father. You were terrified, disgusted even - you were in cahoots with the dark lord? You allowed him to be so intimate with you - Sauron himself!?

ʚ On a particular night you were surprised when you were met with Annatar in your room. Of course, you rebuked him. To think that he was foolish enough to believe that you’d still want him even after you found out of his true identity. It angered him, greatly. Did everything mean nothing to you? 

ʚ Unfortunately, the dark lord appeared to not have only developed an obsession for you - but had also. . . surprisingly, fallen in love with you. And there was no way in hell that he was letting you reject him. That day was the last time your father and family every saw you - for you were dragged back to Mordor 

ʚ Whether you wanted to or not you were forced to love him as you once did. After all, you couldn’t have him actually fall for you - become so infatuated and obsessed with you. . . and then leave him like it was nothing. Oh no, while you were under the impression that it was simply first love only on your side - you were wrong. For you were also the first women that Mairon had ever given his heart to 

ʚ And he would be damned if he let you go. Surely, you would be with him, there in Mordor. You would love him as you once did. . . even if it brought you to your death.

Mairon has a very physical way of showing affection and it could get quite intense if he sees fit. Usually it’s playing with your hair and running his hands through it. Another way of showing this affection would be pressing kisses on your neck, this can quickly grow into a possessive tendency if he decides to mark you but the majority of the time it leaves black or red lipstick stains on your skin - or your lips, if he’s feeling particularly nice

ʚ fight: how would they feel if their darling fought back?

He would find some amusement in it, however, his patience would quickly wear thin and he would find himself growing frustrated in you. It is then that he will act quick to put you in your place, be it by burying his hand into your hair and forcing your head back or clasping his hand around your throat and clamping down. He would make you repeat the ‘rules’ while restricting you of air

Although the change in his behaviour may seem subtle, he does act a little differently towards you - however, not quite. He is just as harsh, probably even more so on you than his subordinates should you disobey him. He can be a very controlling man and often expects you to act in a way that he has taught you over your time being with him. He treats you as though you are his pretty little pet, often speaking down to you

His punishments range from merely letting you sit on your knees below his throne while telling him of how you belong to him and only him - with consequences to follow if you fail at doing so; or becoming intense to the point where he may lock you up in a dark chamber with the threat of one of his many werewolves ( it exhausts you psychologically because you are never sure of when he might just snap and let the damn creature lose on you )

Mairon loves it when you cry, it brings him great amusement. More often than not he’ll force you to look up at him while he relishes in your tears. He definitely mocks you, making you feel more insignificant. “Aww, does it hurt doll? Pathetic.’’ The same goes for your screams - however, he wouldn’t allow you to isolate yourself from him

ʚ xoanon: how much would they revere or worship their darling? to what length would they go to win their darling over?

You had met Mairon when he was still a maia of Aule and you would often notice how he didn’t treat you as coldly as he did most. Mairon’s charm alone was enough to win you over back then, however, his gifting nature seemed to be his way of showing you his interest as he often crafted little gadgets and jewellery for you. Now, however, all of his gifts are only to show his claim over you

He pined over you for quite some time, one may even say centuries. After both your refusal to join him in his turn to Melkor’s side and your continuous denial of his advances after that is what eventually led him to snap

Infatuation that soon turned into obsession and the need to, of course, break something so innocent. You had caught his eye in the early days - and like stated above; he knew that he needed you from the get-go

Not very long in all honesty. Again, he wouldn’t give you the opportunity to reject him. There would be no ‘snap’, just a constant cycle of madness that worsened the longer he kept you with him. The moment you were in his clutches, there was no possible escape

ʚ Thranduil at first allowed you to roam the halls of Mirkwood and socialise with a select few elves, but that all changes during your pregnancy. You would be lucky if you can even speak to Legolas 

ʚ He gives you strict orders to remain within his chambers. Has all your needs attended to by one handmaiden. You aren’t free to leave without his permission so don’t even try

ʚ When you gave birth to twin boys he was overjoyed. Everything seemed normal for the few months - until you had started acting out. He dwindled the possibility of keeping you away from your sons above your head 

ʚ Afraid to not be in your sons’ lives, you quickly go back to being complacent. The perfect little wife for the king of the Woodland Realm.

ʚ He only allowed women around you. He had very thoroughly told the guards to see to it that they and any other man keeps at a distance when it comes to you. Or else there would be consequences. 

ʚ Legolas was never one to lock you away and instead gave you ‘freedom’, so it didn’t change much during your pregnancy. However, he did give you a bit of a schedule: when to be back in the room, when to do what and where, etc 

ʚ He was ecstatic to be a father - not only was he willing to start a family with you but it also meant that you were bound to him forever now. You could never leave him 

ʚ And when the twins were born he made sure to tell you that. Smiling as usual as he held one of his sons, looking upon you with fond eyes as he spoke of how you could never leave him

ʚ But would eventually ease into this idea after awhile, by then he would return to his normal self. Don’t expect him to be completely easy on you just because you’re pregnant 

ʚ In fear of angering him while you were already in such a horrid state you had become completely complacent - much to his delight. He quite liked it when you were in this state, it made it easier for him to bend you to his will 

ʚ When the twins were born it was definitely some adjusting, he didn’t know the first thing of being a father so one could imagine that you did majority of the parenting, as harsh as that sounds

ʚ Would not be any easier on you during your pregnancy and would most likely close off all your contact with anyone else other than him. You would be locked within his chambers for the entire duration 

ʚ Being the silver-tongued man he is he would probably begin weaving little threads of manipulation into your head - of how you need him, of how you have no one but him, no one would want you now that you are to give birth to the dark lord’s children 

ʚ It seemed to work, over the months you had grown extremely reliant on him and he couldn’t be more pleased 

ʚ After the twins are born, you probably wouldn’t see them often. Not that anything bad would happen to them; rather, he didn’t want you ‘tait their upbringing'

ʚ Very evident in his yandere ways, he doesn’t do a good job at hiding it ( not that he really would ). However, if you go back in time to when he still served Valinor, before he had been put under the influence of the dark lord then such thoughts would have been hidden, suppressed even. You were a dear friend of his, a fellow maia of Aulë and eventually would become the object of his infatuation. Yet when you showed no interest in him he buried his feelings, trying to weigh them down and lock them away

ʚ As Melkor began his little threads of influence over Mairon his feelings would begin to twist and dark thoughts would begin to fester. Yet he still attempted to force this down, it kept coming back and stronger than ever. You would see the way he looked at you, how his stare lingered. It felt unnerving every now and then you swore he would murmur something under his breath but every time you asked what is it, he merely brushed you off and continued with work 

ʚ When the day came that he finally proclaimed his loyalty to Melkor, Mairon had offered you to come with him. He offered you anything you could possibly ever wish for in exchange for being at his side. But when you denied? It hit the final nail in the coffin. You were dragged back to Melkor’s lair, whether you liked it or not - and thus began the torment of your stay in Angband 

ʚ The more you denied him, the angrier he became. You were locked up in one of the dungeons, a secluded little place. It served as your ‘punishment’ until you learnt to accept him and his love. There were numerous times he would visit you, eager to see if you were ready to be his. And every time you rejected him? Pain. More than you could ever imagine 

ʚ You remained there, chained by your wrists until you finally decided to give in. Deeming that it wasn’t worth the suffering any longer. However, that didn’t mean that things were smooth sailings from here - as a relationship with this Mairon was far less than ideal 

ʚ He was possessive, controlling. You either did things his way or suffered. Look at anyone else in Angband and you were done for, take your attention off of him for longer than he deemed necessary and you’d be sorry. He’d resort to locking you away in his chambers instead, in complete darkness with perhaps the threat of setting a werewolf on you every now and this

ʚ Psychological torment played a big part in this as well. He would constantly remind you that you were tainted, unable to return to Valinor. That the Ainur would look upon you with disgust and immediately reject you. He made it clear that all you had left was him - and if your ‘disobedience’ kept up, that may even fall flat as well

ʚ This, inevitably, led to the breaking of your mind as you had become reliant on him. Begging him to keep you safe, telling him how much you loved him, how you only had him. 

ʚ This was exactly what Mairon wanted. You had finally been broken down to the point where all you wanted was him - where all you knew was him. From then on, you were like his perfect little doll, clinging to him, loving him - just as he had wished for all that time ago. Yet now at a more extreme degree.
