So for Yuri, I feel like he just… has one, it was never a secret, it just never was brought up. Let’s imagine Jimmy doesn’t exist, he has a lover back in his hometown and if you look CLOSELY to him and his things, you can definitely see hints that give it away, because he’s definitely not hiding it. His Lock Screen is a picture of her, he gets weekly letters from his hometown and the envelopes aren’t the way parents would decorate them… lipstick stains, glitter, Sanrio stickers… they even smell like a girl. Oh and the chokers he wears are definitely his girlfriend’s… or they just share their wardrobe.

For Tamura, it’s definitely different.

He graduated Mori academy and went to a university in a bigger city.

There, he was able to become friends and form a good mixed group. He was cordial with all of them except one girl. He would tease her, bully her even, he once told her she looks like a stapler. She has thick skin though and it never really affected her, she just met him… but she did notice that he didn’t treat anyone else like this. Why her?

Whenever they cross paths, walking alone, he just shies away or looks away. “He must really hate me,” she thinks to herself. But she couldn’t be further from the truth. 

So back in Mori he never had the luck he wished with Yacchan, and definitely didn’t learn his lesson! He still treats his crush the way he treated Yacchan. 

That’s until one of his new friends confronted him about it. “You cannot just call people staplers, Tamura! Go apologize,” a guy took him apart after his comment. 

“Ugh, fine, MOM!” Tamura replied.

“Hey, broom head!” Tamura yelled across the empty corridor where he spotted her. She turned around, and then cursed herself to having recognized herself as “broom head.”

“Ha, you act- uhh,” Tamura stuttered as she looked into his eyes and frowned.

“What?” She snapped back at him, walking towards him.

He scratched the back of his neck, avoiding eye contact. “I, um, wanted to apologize about the stapler thing and, uhh, I guess how I call you ‘broom head’. Not the coolest thing,” he mumbled the last part. 

She watched him, unsure how to react to the sudden apology. It was surprising, but also brightened her spirits. “Um, okay. Just don’t do it again… I guess?” He whipped up his head, bafflement written on his features. As she took in his appearance, something stuck out to her. 

Was he blushing? Or had he run up the stairs of this building?

“So you forgive me?” He asked… smiling. Like he’d won the lottery or something. What a strange guy… he was still hot though. 

“Why not?” It was annoying, but it wasn’t like he was irredeemable. 

“Oh that’s really goo- I mean, thanks.” A beat passed between them, before he added, “So… what you doing here?”

“Just waiting for a professor for a paper I was clearly not graded properly on, but his office hours are in like 15 minutes.”

“Oh,” he simply said, but it didn’t seem like he was leaving anytime soon. She broke the silence, “Tell you what, let’s hang out at the park. At lunch. So you can make it up for me, deal?”

He smiled again, and she couldn’t help but smile back. He replied, “Sounds good.”

So, after a less-than-ideal meeting with her professor, the lunch shared with a good looking guy almost felt like a reward. In a short amount of time, chatting away with Tamura, delight spread through her.

“So, good date?” she asked as they were walking back to campus.

A blush flooded his face. “I— Uh, that’s what it was?” He laughed nervously. She could’ve almost described him as ‘cute’ in that moment .“Yes, yeah of course.” 

“Great,” she said. They were about to part ways for their classes, but she risked herself in adding, “I’ll see you tomorrow, then.”

He hummed in agreement. “See you.”

And that's how he got a girlfriend.

HC that post!YBC Patrick and Joe both spend an unhealthy amount of time working in the studio to “cope.” Joe notices Patrick has a problem but insists it’s different when he himself does it because it “isn’t as bad.”

i've had both of these asks for almost two calendar years. i am SO fucking sorry about that. i'm gonna group these two together, and i hope this maybe makes up for it. 💖

"How's he doing?" Joe asks as he approaches, voice kept carefully low. Andy sighs, gently closing the door to the studio behind him.

"Patrick's fast asleep at the desk. He wore himself out with his episode earlier." Andy runs his hands over his hair, scraping at the shaven sides, and adds, "I was gonna move them both, but I know Patrick would probably flip out again if I did, so I just saved his work and threw a blanket over him."

"Good idea," Joe murmurs, then pauses. "Wait, both?"

"Pete's in there, too," Andy clarifies. "He passed out on the floor beside Patrick's chair."

Joe winces at that, brows knitting together. "Their backs are gonna kill 'em tomorrow."

"I know, but they're sleeping," Andy emphasizes, "and I'm not sure how long it's been since either of them have gotten more than an hour or two." He throws his hands up in faux surrender, backing away from the door as he says, "I'm not touching them. They can go ahead and hate me tomorrow if they wanna, I don't really care."

Joe elects just to shrug, and they fall into a pensive silence. Staring at the studio door, a familiar itch comes crawling up Joe's back; his fingers twitch where they're shoved into his pockets. He clears his throat softly, and his socks scuff against the carpet as he takes a deliberately-casual step forward.

"Ooookay, well, if they're both out for the night, I'm just gonna pop in quick and grab an acoustic–"

"Joe–"

"–I'll take it to the basement, don't worry, I'll make sure they don't hear me at all–"

"Joe."

"– I just wanna finish off that hook I had going earlier, I think I've almo–"

"Joe."

Joe freezes, fingers barely ghosting over the door handle. When he peers over his shoulder, Andy is already staring back, his tattooed arms crossed over his chest. His grey eyes are nearly black in the dim light of the hallway, and he looks tired. Guilt briefly squeezes its cold fist around Joe's ribs.

"Joe, it's nearly midnight," says Andy. He brings a hand up to rub at the sides of his nose (an old habit from when he still had his glasses he hasn't managed to kick yet), and falls against the opposite wall in defeat. His voice is unbearably soft as he pleads, "Come to sleep?"

And the thing is, Joe wants to.

He really does.

He just...

The thought of not finishing his work makes his stomach roll.

So instead of acquiescing, Joe crosses the hallway, leaning into Andy's space. He traces his fingertips, feather-light, over the ink-dark skin of Andy's forearms. Saccharine-sweet, he whispers, "I just wanna finish the hook. I'll do it quick, record it on my phone so I don't forget it in the morning, and then I'll be right there in bed. Then you can do your weird-ass impression of a spidermonkey-octopus thing while we cuddle like teenagers, or whatever." Joe tilts Andy's chin up to look him in the eye, flashing a reassuring grin at him. "Sound okay?"

Andy stares at Joe for a long moment. His typical silence feels more pronounced here, as his gaze darts all over Joe's face, seemingly searching for something there. That damned itch dances its way up Joe's spine again, leaving the chill of uneasiness in its wake; the corners of Joe's mouth crack like plaster as he forces his expression to stay light.

(He prays to anything for Andy not to notice.)

After another beat, Andy's shoulders slump, and a small smile graces his face. His hands find Joe's with practiced ease, weaving their fingers together tightly. He arches off the wall, using Joe's weight as leverage, and crowds so far into Joe's space that there's hardly anywhere left where they aren't touching.

"Just the hook?" Andy asks, his breath ghosting over Joe's lips as he cranes up, tip-toed, to nuzzle their noses together. Joe makes a small sound of assent, not trusting himself to say anything more as warm relief washes over him. He brings their joined hands up to his mouth and drops a lingering kiss on each of Andy's knuckles, his gaze trained on the way Andy's lashes flutter against his cheeks in response.

Andy's grip on him tightens for just a second, then falls slack as he whispers, "m'kay, go get the guitar. I'll meet you downstairs." At Joe's perplexed look, he adds, "I'm gonna come sit with you 'til you're done." Guilt lances through Joe once more, his eyes blowing wide.

"Dee, you don't have to stay up for me–"

"I don't have to, I want to. I like hearing you work." Andy cuts him off, with a finger against his lips. After a second, he shifts his hand, carefully cradling Joe's cheek. He smiles again, but it's tinged with something else, something that makes Joe's heart ache in his chest. "I just like you."

Sudden heat pricks at Joe's eyes and he quickly snaps them shut, leaning into Andy's touch. That awful itch, along with the guilt, takes a backseat in his brain for the time being, corralled there by the warmth of Andy's hand and the simplicity of his words; for just a moment, he savours it.

Before long, Andy's pulling away, nudging Joe towards the studio door. He gives Joe a stern warning about waking up Pete and Patrick as he walks away, and Joe keeps his eyes locked on Andy's back until he's completely disappeared from sight.

Quiet as a mouse, Joe slips into the studio. As promised, Patrick is bent over the desk, his folded arms shielding his face from view. Pete is sitting slumped beside him on the floor, unflatteringly open-mouthed and folded up like a pretzel. The throw blanket is haphazardly spread out over Patrick's broad shoulders, the edge fluttering mere inches over the crown of Pete's head. Even in sleep, the pair look utterly exhausted; Joe can't help the way he frowns.

He feels them. He's tired, too. Really fucking tired. And so is Andy.

But Joe can't stop yet, and Andy knows that. And Andy is waiting for him in the basement, because he's sweet like that. Because he's thoughtful.

Because Andy gets Joe, perhaps even more than Joe gets Joe, and he understands that Joe can't give it up quite yet.

Carefully, Joe slinks around the sleeping pair, grabbing his acoustic from the loveseat he'd abandoned it on earlier. On his way back out, the telltale whisper of fabric shifting stops Joe dead in his tracks at the door. Heart in his throat and apologies at the ready, he peers over his shoulder at Pete and Patrick.

Patrick has shifted in his sleep. His good arm has fallen into his lap, palm up. His slack hand is close enough to Pete's head that his fingers are tucked, just slightly, into Pete's dark hair. Pete snuffles, a little gross-sounding, and subconsciously leans into the contact.

Neither one stirs again. Watching them for a moment longer, Joe's smile grows a bit wobbly. Drawing in a deep breath, he eases the door shut once more, and leaves them to their slumber. (With any luck, they'll wake up at some point through the night, and at least have the sense to lay down on the furniture or something, but Joe's not counting on it.)

As Joe makes the descent to the basement, slinging the guitar strap over his shoulder on his way, his thoughts become preoccupied once more with the hook from earlier. Perhaps Andy, though sleepy and spent as he is from the day, may have some ideas for how Joe can nail it down.

After all, the sooner he does, and the sooner he satisfies the itch, the sooner Joe can get some rest, too.

He's just gotta finish, first.

oh man, i mean. fuck. this is a hard question, because so many videos feel, like, important? and THEN there's whether i Liked them, which is a different question but plays into whether they're my "favorite." suitehearts fucks severely for character design and aesthetic. saturday set a precedent and narrative that the band has committed to for over 20 years. the champions basketsball video is Funny. the wilson video is funny and very gay. what a catch is heart-wrenching. i'm like a lawyer is heart-wrenching in a completely different way. sm(f)s the video is heartwrenching in a secret third way. sixteen candles is so goddamn camp. ybc is so extra it's kind of incomprehensible that they *did all that*. i could go on.

i think, all that said, i have to go with suitehearts. i'm a theater person by training and the costuming and character design are so loud and fun, and *visually* it's a riot. pete completely misunderstanding/ignoring patrick's plea for "simple visuals" my beloved because it got us patrick asking for tiny lips makeup.

So I know you wrote it in 2019 but im curious based off of Pete's stage designs for tourdust if that spurred any thoughts of the stage design for the Stumped Musical in your musical au fic 🐉

I wrote that musical fic very early on in my FOB fandom. I feel like it might have been the first long fic I wrote for them? And the longer I spend on FOB fandom the more I'm like, "God, Pete Wentz would looooove to write a musical" hahahaha. And also Patrick Stump would ALSO love to write a musical, I think. So I have no idea what is holding them up! Except I do think I'm probably right that Pete would write something completely incomprehensible that would totally make sense to him and to Patrick and to absolutely nobody else. And then they WOULD send a librettist in and Pete would hate it the way he hated having an editor on his actual book (another reason I love Pete Wentz lol). Like, Pete only wants one beta and that's Patrick, no one else is allowed to edit Pete Wentz. So I think, sadly, we never WILL get a musical out of them.

But! I actually think Pete has such wide-ranging interests and likes that it's impossible to predict how he would go for stage design. Tourdust is extremely whimsical and I adore that, I love how it's over-the-top and full of life and color and drama and I think that would suit their Morpheus retelling well, he would light the Underworld so luridly fabulously, I think. But then I think of, like, the aesthetic of Youngblood Chronicles, which feels on the other end of the spectrum in some ways, like, still over-the-top but in the opposite anti-whimsical direction lol. Like, YBC has the most ridiculous things happen but they're all dressed up in this hard debauched tone that doesn't land as softly as the Tourdust stuff does. And their videos likewise run the gamut in a lot of ways.

That said, if I had to put my money on it, I think Pete Wentz leans more whimsical Tourdust in general. He might love horror movies and sci-fi and stuff, but I think inside he's just full of pink cotton candy and bubblegum at heart. Like, most of their videos are light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek, comical affairs and I think Pete would go that way for staging my fictional musical, it would all be a tad too much in a fun way.

I spent way too long considering this entirely fictional question lol but thank you for it!

I have thought of adding more muses in the future, just because I am that dork who will continue adding to my multi-muse because I'm stupid and I guess I'll have an infinite amount of muses-)

(I've been heavily tempted to add Draculaura from Monster High Generation 3! I was considering Generation 1 for the longest time because that's what I grew up with and let me tell you I was ADDICTED to the webisodes, movies and the diaries my dolls came with growing up BUT, Generation 3 has really grown on me lore-wise and I think the witchcraft element is cute!)

(For Yugioh in particular, I've been heavily considering adding back in Jun! I initially removed him because I just felt so discouraged since I was often ignored/disregarded by the GX fandom at the time. I guess because back when I first made this blog there wasn't a big YGO boom like there is now but I still really love Jun, he's one of my favorite characters from GX, so I'd really love to bring him back and maybe have him interact with his classmates and idol, Seto Kaiba~)

(Though there's always characters I consider writing for like Dio Brando, Amalthea from The Last Unicorn, Yuri from Yarichin Bitch Club, Gowther from Seven Deadly Sins (even though I have a love-hate realtionship with that series but I am a Gowther and Ban simp) and more but as you can see from this list alone, I'm really iffy on adding all these characters. Aside from Amalthea, all these characters are typically viewed as controversial (and the ones I'm not listing even more so, especially one in particular for me personally) and I'm not sure people would be comfortable/okay with me writing these characters. Especially Yuri in particular when YBC is considered a taboo for people when for me it's fucking hilarious and a guilty pleasure.)

Oi YBC... Like... I get your abandonment concern and worries here, but it's not like you didn't know the many you married is like super uprighteous... or maybe you didn't know... They did a good job of turning her from a decently likable neutral character to one you want to knock a few times on the head. One can understand why she is the way she is, but one also wants to shake her into regaining some of her sanity.
