“ you have a way of promising things. ”
@cadisfly
Sea salt licks the air that hovers over the open terrace, curling up from the water and settling against the villa's east-facing wall. If left untreated, its searing fingers will cause the paint to blister in no more than a few years' time. The wounds will need to be sanded down, the broken skin shorn off to ensure that the new finish will lie flat. To ensure that it will stick. Hannibal wonders idly whether he and Will will be here long enough to see the building reborn or whether they will have moved on by that time—perhaps even before the first imperfections show.
He lifts his chin and draws the scent of the morning into his lungs, coating his soft palate with the thick brine of marine life and the filmy aftertaste of decomposition. It makes an interesting complement to the lemon tang of their sherry cobblers, which spit crisp-scented fizz from tall glasses dripping with condensation. A marvelous choice of cocktail, Hannibal reflects with pride; the citrus cuts delightfully through the viscous air, like stirring blood into melted chocolate.
"'Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin,'" he recites. With the insinuation of a smile, he reaches out and twists a plump grape from the desiccated vine on his plate, relishing the wet snap that the fruit emits as he pries it from the half-eaten cluster.
He would promise Will the world, should he feel it to be within his power. But the laws of nature bend to no man, and there are some feats that exceed even Hannibal's capabilities. Still, that loss doesn't weigh too heavily on him; he and Will can content themselves with the ache of old wounds, the easy peace of their seaside villa, and their oft-replenished storeroom.
Hannibal rolls the grape between his fingers, holding his hand out in front of him so he can watch the neat pink scar on his wrist pucker and twist. Even now, the sight elicits something carnal in him. He places the grape in his mouth and tongues it to the side, nestling it between his teeth. He holds it there for a moment, cradling its smooth, round form between his molars, and then bites down, bursting the skin and splitting the flesh. Sour juice washes radiantly across his palate, and he exhales in pleasure, rolling his contented gaze back toward Will—knowing, playful. "Even God knew the importance of keeping one's word."

a little strange to get dms from other trans people saying they agree with biden's dumb statemet that he doesnt want minors getting gender-affirming care. if you really think its such an epidemic that 13 year olds are getting their knockers blown off by surgeons every other day, then please point me in the direction of said 13 year olds that are somehow accessing gender-affirming care that literal trans adults can't even access.
like please be fr. we literally have privatized healthcare and insurance where not even people who go through the appropriate avenues can get approved for care they need to stay alive. what makes you think a trans minor is getting phallo or vaginalplasty. feel whatever you want about 13 year olds who want gender-affirming care, but dont parrot transphobic rhetoric that is based on no facts and a moral panic. they second they legitimize barriers to care for trans minors is the second they start finding ways to do the same for trans adults. dont be a buffoon.

a taste of hannibal, a touch of megamind, a shot of venom (pours the whole damn bottle)
i love venom (2018) a lot, it’s my go-to movie when i’m bored or sad, i have seen it many many times. i saw it again a week or so ago with a bud and finally had the opportunity to pen down this lovely au i’ve been thinkin bout
i’ve got a much more fleshed out sketch of how this au plays out. not sure if i’ll write it yet
anyway some bullet points
noir (called, ofc, noir) arrives on earth-138 in the 1920s. his first host is robbie and they basically go through the venom movie, where noir slowly learns to love earth and humanity and all that jazz. up until the 50s or so they’re an investigative reporter and occasionally a scary vigilante superhero!
when robbie is killed (not ewaf style. i forbid it), it fucking devastates noir and he host-hops for a bit, doing fun anarchy things to keep up robbie’s legacy but also losing a few morals here and there. he can do a little murder and eat nazis as a treat
the symbiotes arrive en masse and osborn infects humans with them to turn into his fascist riot police army
through vampire-hunting-esque shenanigans, hobie and noir meet, and strike up a tenuous truce to fight the government. hobie does not like him at first, but noir very much does ;)
cue a slow burn gothic romance between a freedom fighter and a devoted monster <3

there could be grammatical errors here 'm sorry i wrote this at like 2am. there's a pretty brief mention of fingering but overall vague description of getting hot'n'bothered & dicked down while watching at yourself through the eyes of a godly creature in a form of a.. i dunno? hypnosis? anyways have fun :З
he hovers over you in the deafening silence of the empty room, his palms holding your face. the eyes on his little wings slowly roll back and close as the feathers twitch faintly... the sight would be haunting for anyone else, but not for you. finally, he bares his countenance and whispers:
"let me into your mind."
and with a simple nod of your head, you let him in. you let him see through your eyes, and in return, he lets you see through his own. he loves to get inside your head, making you watch how he gets you worked up. your mind already left your body by now, but you can still see and feel yourself. even if there's not a single though in your head, just a white noise in the background, you can still feel how he presses his whole body against yours while his hands roam all over your smaller frame. it's suffocating, yet somehow hypnotizing.
you know you're not helpless right now, you can snap back to reality at any point. he doesn't want to overwhelm you too much or do something you wouldn't be comfortable with. but you choose to sink deeper anyway, further into his touch, allowing yourself to be vulnerable and exposed to the creature before you.
he takes it slow at first, allows you to watch how he stretches your pretty cunt with his fingers. the look on your face, combined with your dilated pupils, was so feverishly mesmerising. timid, but so shameless and obvious in expressing your own desires and needs, you writhe weakly on your bed, lips parted in a silent plea that doesn't go unnoticed by gavriil.
by the time he's done with you and carefully leaves your conscience, he's already admiring you from above again. your hair, now messy and tangled, your flushed, sweat-soaked skin. there's nothing more pleasing to him than helping you come back down from your high. as if it wasn't him who stripped you away from every bit of your guilt and shame, ravaging you so intensely immediately afterwards, he gazed at your face with such an affectionate look in his eyes. everything about you felt so raw and real to him.
everything felt right.

sorry im just thinking about bcs but like. why not add a few smaller scenes of gus interacting with his own men? why does it seem like, in comparison, mike is almost immediately elevated to a higher status than those two in bcs purely because we actually get to see him having normal conversations with gus? like i understand they might not keep the plot moving as well because of the fact obviously if victor is currently doing something it’s because gus told him to etc. but for the most part all of the smaller interactions gus does have with those two ends up being in a somewhat high stress situation where it feels very tense between everyone. and it’s just like damn! is it always like that?? why do those two even care that much about their jobs if their boss is a bit of a dick? etc. i think even an additional scene or two with those guys (either alone or the both of them) talking with gus in a more normal situation could’ve both added a bit more depth into how gus treats his employees (we got a lot with how he treats lyle and co., but not a whole lot with the illegal side of things), how comfortable vic and tyrus feel around him in a calmer setting, and exactly why they both feel the need to be as loyal as they are to the guy.
and also on the other side of this i don't think it'd hurt to maybe elaborate on their pay just a bit..? i'm not saying to randomly put a number out into the atmosphere but i just mean some smaller things like. do they buy nicer things for themselves? what's their housing situation? what's their car situation? are the escalade / yukon their own vehicles or does gus just use those two for business situations? do they use them when they're doing their own stuff off the clock or do they have their own cars? etc. that can also help with understanding their motivations a bit. don't get me wrong i don't think they should be visibly rich or something because that's not what gus would want but just smaller things! cause it's easy to write their loyalty off as Well they probably get paid super well, which i'm sure is true, but if they don't show a single hint of that then what's the point. even something as simple as giving tyrus a nice watch, or maybe victor having a nicer looking gun, etc. something small like that. because as it stands right now the average 41 year old viewer who watched the show once only knows and will only ever know victor and tyrus as those two guys in the background who do random stuff for gus with no clear motivation. just the personification of "On it boss (salute emoji)". and to be honest this is true for a whole lot of fans who do watch the show multiple times and enjoy thinking about it more in depth, because on screen we barely have anything about the two.
and to be clear i'm not trying to say we should have an episode just for them or something like no i understand they're side characters. i understand we don't need all that. and i understand this is also primarily Jimmy's show. but it's not like these two are on the same level as like, arlo or paige and kevin etc. these guys have been around since brba. victor was literally introduced in the same episode gus was. and they are a huge part of gus's story, especially in brba. s4 wouldn't have been what it was without victor and tyrus. and in bcs, ignacio's situation wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for victor and tyrus as well. and i just personally believe that if their goal with gus in bcs was to go back and elaborate on how everything came to be and show what he was like a few years younger, they could've dragged victor and tyrus into that. and i think his character would've benefited from taking that extra step with those two.

in my eternal quest to add structure to my life, ive decided to take a leaf out of my aunt's book* and schedule an Errand Day one weekend a month.
the purpose of Errand Day is...errands, before they add up and become one Big clusterfuck that's an even bigger pain to deal with. for example: take the stuff I'm giving away to the thrift store (before it colonizes the storage room). take out the annoying recycling that can't go in the blue bins (currently fighting a war against the invasive species of thrift stuff). replace the air filters. get birthday gifts. replace clothes as needed, instead of trying to work around the issue for a whole season bc I won't bite the bullet and try on pants. even fun things that i put off because they're outside of my regular stomping grounds, like going to the used bookstore.
no excuses, no heel-dragging. just take a morning and do all the shit that needs doing. don't let it add up and become a whole Thing. the Reward for Errand Day will be either a fancy coffee or lunch, depending on how long it takes and where I end up.
*my aunt and her partner have a theme for each weekend: one is budgeting, then deep cleaning their house, then meal prep, and finally a "fun" weekend where they do something new like go to a street festival or a new restaurant. i could never be that coordinated, but I think in part it's a solid idea.
