Peter nods. “Yeah, Wade. I’m sure,” he scoots closer to Wade until he’s sitting on the edge of the bed. He reaches his hand out and gently traces over a scar on Wade’s thigh with his pointer finger. “Do they hurt?”

Wade doesn’t answer right away but then he lowers his hands. “Yeah. Some days are worse than others though. Most days I can kinda just ignore them. I’m used to it.”

Peter frowns. “Does it hurt when I touch them?”

Wade shakes his head. “No, it-“ he cuts off. “It feels nice. No one ever really…”

Peter moves his focus from the scar on his leg to Wade’s face, looking him in his expressive eyes. “I think you’re gorgeous,” he says honestly. He reaches his hands up to cover Wade’s where they dropped by his sides. “I wanna see,” he whispers. “And I’m not going to run away,” he squeezes Wade’s hands and briefly wonders where all this tenderness came from.

Peter’s always been a bit of a bleeding heart, but there’s something about Wade that lowers his guard. Something instinctive. Maybe it’s the same reason Peter’s spideysense called him to Wade. But it doesn’t really matter. Peter wants to live in the moment, and he tugs one of Wade’s hands closer and kisses the back of his scarred hand. “I promise.”

Also, I’m so happy we’re actually getting cosmetic lore again. I love learning about characters, even trivial things that will never get brought up again (Can you tell I’m in a fandoms who try to put characters together with the little crumbs we have? 🥲)
