You won’t be perfect. No one is when they start. Just practice ffs

it’s ok to hate your art, that’s normal, but don’t stop drawing because of it? motivate yourself to become better. Make yourself an artist you would buy from.

see a good artstyle you like??? Don’t say “oh no they’re so good I’ll never be that good” because you’re Wrong. If you want a similar artstyle take your fav parts from it, but if you don’t then JU S T!!!!!!!! prACTICE

Also, don’t just not draw ever because you don’t think you’re good. it’s like sitting a seed in the back of a dark cold cupboard and expecting to pull out a full grown flower one day.

heres what can make you improve: DRAWING. DRAWING LOTS. as much as you can without hurting yourself. As much as you want to. to get that seed to grow you have to water it, fertilise it, give it sunlight, DONT JUST LET IT SIT THERE.

Everyone has untapped art potential that they just don’t see. you have to keep going to see it

...had a really stupid thought pop into my head. kaltsit, the turboultra boomer she is, sitting in a dorm room filled with much younger operators, attempting to "keep up" with whatever talk that's going on. "hmm, yes i guess that would be pog. yeetith so."

I need to chime in on this because I can't agree. Kal'tsit is super old, yeah, but she's not a boomer. Just like Lyse FF14 is a White Girl and Alisaie is a Girl Who Is White, Kal'tsit is not a boomer, simply a woman who is old, and we see her adequate flawlessly to each era. As much as I love to lovingly dunk on Kal'tsit, it has to be appropriate, Kal'tsit has always shown to be charming and up to date with topics, terms, and fashion.

Kal'tsit would absolutely nail the conversations and interactions. If it's not about Doctor, Kal'tsit is a delightful person, shown to be in the good graces of a lot of characters. Even Specter/Laurentina, who has a pretty clear disdain for landwellers when lucid and sane, treats Kal'tsit like a friend.

Hellagur, however, I think would be absolutely the Cool Boomer uncle for a number of reasons. He's Old but also has huge Charisma stat, so he'd chime in with a "that is pretty epic win poggers, sussy Aak!" and Aak would be like "Fuck Yes Uncle Hellagur you said it!" like he gets terminology and slang the whole time, but no one corrects him because he's still the coolest and nicest raddest uncle in RI so whenever he gets something wrong, THAT'S the new right.

Conversely, W knows the correct usage of all of these words, but when she uses terms correctly, everyone looks at her like she just spoke complete nonsense. As a joke. Also because they hate her.
