Hello, I hope this question is correct but do you have any information on the cafe “yellow deli” or the twelve tribes cult?? Years between 2012 - 2018 in Tennessee’s dyer county. Thank you!!
There is a Yellow deli in Pulaski, TN, which is in Giles County. This is where the Twelve Tribes community/cult is in TN.

Cult Sandwiches
So I didn't have eating cult sandwiches on my 2024 to-do list but its now checked off. So we decided to go eat at this place called The Yellow Deli. We just figured it was some cute little sandwich place. We get inside and its really nice, beautiful wood architecture and the likes with some hippie products scattered around. Then I find the religious booklets.
Tumblr media
So I come to find that this place is a front for one of the biggest cults in the united states; the twelve tribes.
There's a lot of posts online about their views and even a reporter in Canada went undercover with them for 6 weeks to get a better understanding of how the ground worked. Kind of an interesting read.
Apparently they have no tolerance for queerness and have made it very clear where they stand on it. And apparently there is other awful stuff they do.
So they may be another awful religious group but damn I'd be lying if I said they don't make a good sandwich.

Even though it is freezing right now 🥶 here in Colorado. I would still rather have 29° over 99°
I know a lot of people really enjoy summer, but I absolutely can’t stand the heat 🥵 if I had it my way, I would have fall and spring all year long. But winter is beautiful with the snow ❄️
Even my outfits are for winter I feel like are a lot cuter than my summer ones. I love the holiday season, and staying inside with a good book and the fireplace going 📖 🔥
Being a bartender, I get so much social interaction on my workdays that I really like to be antisocial (unless I’m on vacation) on my days off. So winter is perfect, I don’t feel obligated to be outside or have to socialize. I could be a hermit crab inside my house with my dogs 🐶
As for today, I did go and find a cute new spot for lunch in Boulder. And also picked up a new book ☺️ thought I would make this post before I turn my fireplace on and start diving into this 📚
I don’t know why I felt the need to make this post today maybe because I have been currently re-watching the MTV series “Awkward” if anyone remembers that show 😝

I need someone to write about Eddie Munson packing up his van and getting the fuck out of Hawkins, going where the wind takes him, stopping in random small towns to earn enough cash to get to the next one, trying to find his place. He meets a girl randomly in the market in some tiny town in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. He thinks its coincidence that this free-spirited, like-minded, anti-establishment, enchanting girl came up to him in the canned good aisle, doesn’t question that she’s giving him all this attention because she’s pretty in a natural way and is giving him attention, saying all the right things. And she knows a place he can work to earn some cash and he can crash in his van on this property on the outskirts of town. Other wanderers are there, too. Thru-hikers for the Appalachian trail, vagabonds, and transients. But it’s a sweet deal so he stays longer than he originally planned, gets more involved in the group of what he thinks is old hippies running the place. It takes him a little too long to realize it’s a cult. He’s living on the commune of a cult. Maybe he stays, because he thinks he’s in love. Maybe he makes plans to leave, gets the girl to come with him. Maybe that’s just her job, find lost boys in markets and lure them into the cult like some sort of fucked up recruitment strategy.

Deli Mustard Review: Kosciusko Spicy Brown

So, onto the mustard. Just look at this thing. How can a mustard in a barrel-shaped bottle be bad? (It's also 100% natural. Apparently.) It looks like a dignified mustard, without being complacent enough to come in a glass jar. And dignified this mustard is!
The taste of this mustard is very nice. Not super vinegary, it carries that clean deli mustard taste I have grown to love in recent years. The spiciness that Kosciusko vouches isn't horribly strong. It's not the swift kick that Colman's offers, it's more of a hard yet friendly pat on the back. Because it's not so overpowering, it's good for when you want the mustard to take a supporting role, like on a good sandwich. In short, this is your "eating-a-sandwich-at-3-in-the-afternoon" kind of mustard; something that comforts, helps you along, but doesn't blow your taste buds immediately away.
I'd give this mustard 7 lazy summer days out of 10. It's a nice mustard, goes well with a good amount of stuff, and generally can hold it's own. It's a great addition to a mustard geek's collection.
