↪he first found out about your habit of eating ice when he caught you red handed. he merely had wanted to grab a drink from his kitchen when he walked in on you scrounging for any ice he may have - despite it being quite hard to keep around in sumeru. tighnari merely stared at you.

↪if you ever decided to eat some ice around him you can always catch his ears twitch slightly when you crunch on the ice. his ears pick up the sound much louder and he always internally recoils when he hears how crunchy it is and would often ask you to leave if you did it too much - he isn't trying to be rude, he'd rather just save his ears.

↪additionally, he always worries about how it might hurt you teeth. it certainly doesn't sound great when you crunch into a block of ice and so sometimes he invests his free time into finding you an alternative - for your teeth and his ears.

↪why you do it isn't that important to him, if it is because of something like anemia it just makes it easier for him to help find an alternative. getting ice into sumeru can be quite pricey and it doesn't last long but that doesn't mean he won't help you get the ice.

↪eventually if he does find an alternative for you, he'll help ease you away from eating ice - obviously if you also want to find a different way. however if you don't he will start making sure you don't do it as much and always makes you tell him if you're teeth start hurting - that would be the only time he forcibly removes any ice from your vicinity.

↪if ice would be hard to obtain and keep in sumeru, it'd be even harder in the deserts surrounding sumeru. so if you needed any ice you knew not to go asking cyno about it.

↪he would probably find out in a similar way - one day catching you eating ice at a random time during the day and it would totally catch him off guard. cyno wouldn't really know what to make of it, there'd be more of a chance he'd have many questions about why you would choose to eat ice.

↪he probably would be indifferent towards it and wouldn't mind unless you started saying it was hurting your teeth or he noticed. then he'd start asking if you had a reason for eating ice if it was bad for your teeth. whatever the reason, he'd always try and help.

↪if you wanted to get rid of your little habit he would happily assist. it could start with something small like him finding an alternative or keeping an eye on you so you could try and go without eating ice. or he would start taking all the ice you had access to and throwing it into the desert to let it melt.

↪if you didn't want to stop completely he would start helping you manage how often you had the urge to eat ice. he'd gently remind you if you started eating too much and would always make sure you weren't hurting your teeth if you started crunching on the ice cube.

The battle ended as expected with the main character being the victor. It continued to surprise you- not that, but the amount of fun it was to simply watch these battles, even if you already knew the outcome.

Either way, it was time for Emperor against team blue, right? You stood off to the side of the stage, lazily watching as they announced some things, as well as the following battle.

["Here we go everyone- the square King Cup: The Semi-Finals!"]

Oh- that's right. You forgot about that.

["Team Blue versus!-"]

Your eyes widened, and it's almost as if a fight or flight response had stricken you.

Because your team's name followed.

In hindsight it shouldn't have been all that surprising, but what now? You- you couldn't go all out against the Blue Team, right? No, that would most definitely change the story! Unless a fluke...no, you've learned by now that skill matters more. What were you gonna do? Carp, this is no good.

You wiped your palms on your clothes, and bit your lip. Luckily, they didn't cover that you had the battle the following day, not right after like it had seemed. It made more sense that way, giving both teams time to prepare fr such a big battle.

And more time for you to panic.

Unfortunately for you, a certain someone was shaking his head as he glared holes into the side of your head.

'They surely won't make it.' His words would be laced with richness and venom had he spoken them aloud, but his eyes said it all. No faith, that asshole. But maybe he was right- at least with how you were currently acting.

You paid no attention to the worried glances or kind words offered to you by the S4 or Yellow-Green team as you went on autopilot, chained to your own mind.

Maybe you couldn't do it. You still had a lot to perfect, and you weren't nearly as perfect as Emperor. Your team was much... messier, to say the least. And that's assuming you're even going to make it up to that battle. Come on now, this is Goggles. He was obviously an idiot, but just look at how far he's made it.

He's going to embarrass you on that stage.

You can't find a way around this time- just like what all the other characters had to go through. How ironic is that? You know the story inside out yet you still stand no chance against the main protagonist.

Before you knew it, you were lying in bed, swaddled up in your sheets. You were sweating, and not once did any kind of thoughts of self-care cross your mind. Which was odd, due to this battle being such a big deal. Did it even matter? You'd lose anyway. Some massive fluke was gonna happen right at the end of the battle, just like all his other battles. He'd exploit a weakness that you didn't even know existed. You must have so many weaknesses. Despite all the time spent here in this world, everything suddenly feels so new. As if you had just gotten here yesterday. Where did all the time go?

You didn't notice your eyes were closed until a hand nearly touched your shoulder and you flinched, honing in on a kind voice. This time it was so soft, yet it was still too loud for you. With a furrow in your brow and a corse voice, you seethed:

"What."

Oh, but he saw the way you panicked even before the word was finished. He knew you didn't mean it. He knew your heart better than you did. This is why he quietly sat down on the edge of your bed and very slowly brought his hand to your cheek, allowing you to move back if you so desired. You didn't, and his big thumb was carefully caressing your cheek and gently tilting your chin up towards him as he finally spoke.

"What are you so panicked about, Boss? Are you worried about us?"

Well, no- it wasn't... ohh that sneaky squid. Milo sure knew how to phrase himself just right.

No, you didn't want to doubt them- your family. You doubted yourself.

"You don't know what will happen. You can't be certain, you know. You can't predict the future, Boss."

About that... no, actually.

He's right.

This battle isn't technically scripted.

But Goggles' and Emperor's battle is. So how...? No, using that logic, what's the end goal? Fixing Crusty Seanwhich's food truck, right? And you'd of course do that- that was a no-brainer.

Maybe you would lose, it was a possibility for sure.

Leo raises a brow from your doorframe, Tasha in tow.

"You really have that much trust in us, eh?"

His voice is teasing and laced with sarcasm, but that goober sure is confident. He's leaning on your doorframe now, so non-chalant. What's he so confident about?

"This'll be fun y'know. That's all that matters, right?"

...Is he his own protagonist?? Odd one, he is. But Leo's right too.

"...Do you have any idea how much training we do compared to the average squid? Not to mention. We have something they don't."

You tilt your head towards her, Tasha.

"You."

"Nobody else has a leader like you."

That's almost funny, looking down at yourself right now. Face a little puffy and all swaddled up under many blankets. But you assume she's referring to the hours of sweat, notes, and blood (-ink?) or the fact that you managed to force the literal S4 into improving.

You wipe your tears and reach your hand out for Milo to grab and help you up. You run your fingers over your tentacles, shaking your head for a slight reset. Milo offers you a glass of water from your nightstand- when did that get there? You take a quick swig, then a deep breath.

"We've also got something they don't:

before you could answer him, xiao spun you around, leaving childe in his place.

Here is a bit about me 😅 :

I’m 5 feet 3 inches and blonde with long hair. I have glasses very similar to the style that Daniel Jackson wears on Stargate: SG-1. I’m grey ace and look feminine, but I am somewhere under the non-binary umbrella.

For my personality traits, uh, well, I have two anxiety disorders, lol. Specifically social anxiety and generalized anxiety. I definitely try to be social when I can, /but/ it can be difficult. I’m definitely a hopeless romantic, often to a fault. I could best be described as … indoorsy. I like reading, writing, occasionally drawing, and watching movies. In particular I’m a pretty huge horror movie fan. I also very much enjoy movies from the 30s-50s, particularly film noir.

I also enjoy houseplants and love reptiles. I actually own two lizards. :D

I got an English lit degree and my job involves copy editing and writing, so analyzing writing and such is a big part of my personal and professional life.

he's also more focused on a relationship that brings something to the table, something he can work with. the same kind of partnership (although on slightly better terms hopefully) as he has with two face

i'm not making light in the slightest but hey, it's the perfect number of anxiety disorders to have. and he'd be more than happy to do the talking for you in social situations, both of them would be

he'd also understand the need to will yourself to be social, it's easy for him to shut himself away, with the only person he can speak to being himself, so it would be good for you both to encourage each other

hopeless romantic? now we're talking. because i think harvey is one of the softest, most romantic boys out there. really traditionally woos people, charms them and romances them like he was in some terribly dramatic old movie

which speaking of, he is definitely a massive fan of film noir, so that would make an excellent date for you both, either at a film festival or watching them on the sofa

creativity, especially indoorsy creativity, would suit him. someone who is grounded in themselves and can work away quietly would be a nice calming presence. he's a house person really, you don't see him striving to get out and about unless he has crimes to commit, so having someone else kicking around the place with him would be nice

please, stop with the twos! you have two lizards? perfect. one is harvey's favourite now and the other is two face's favourite. i don't know much about them, but the spicier of the two, guess who's favourite that one is...

gosh you've got intelligence in scores, and that's so key. i think harvey's intelligence is often overlooked, his temper and attitude sometimes overshadow it. but the man was a DA, he passed the bar. so someone on an intellectual equal with him, especially in something as interesting for him as copy editing, would make the perfect partner

Turns out today is a binge day???

Already over 1k cals so fuck it but I'm working on looking at things from a different (more positive) perspective. What this day of binge eating has showed me is that there seems to be a pattern.

The way I eat for breakfast really determines how I'm going to eat the rest of the day. On days where I only have black coffee for breakfast, i find it a lot easier to restrict throughout the day. But on days like today where I shove 300+ cals in my face after waking up, I basically just say fuck it and sabotage the rest of the day.

I'm going to eat these chips and I'm going to enjoy them because my absolute darling of a roommate brought them for me. And after this I'll eat dinner too. Idk how but it kind of feels like punishment when I eat my usual dinner after bingeing.

Way less walking today but oh well. Oh well?? Yooo I've said it a million times on this blog already but getting my depression medically treated has made it so much easier to just keep going. Basically overnight I've started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. When I say there are more days ahead and more chances to do better, I actually believe it.

Still thinking about purging though. I'll try get more water in me between now and dinner time so it will be easier to barf everything back up. Can't wait until I have enough left over money to buy laxatives again. Need a clean start.
