i love the idea of aki being really strong without seeming like it especially because of his uniform. manhandling or carrying someone with ease and not breaking a sweat. you never really pay too much attention to it until he rolls up his sleeves and you see his forearms or hands. im drooling.

he definitely doesn't look like it. even when he's out of uniform, he's on the leaner side, he isn't crazy muscular. but aki is a lot stronger than he appears, much more than anyone gives him credit for.

dont forget that he regularly beats up guys from division 2 in boxing matches without even trying... he's really quite tough....

ok after listening to the english version of the death note musical....... unpopular opinion i think but i actually prefer the japanese version? dont get me wrong, with some of the songs i do think i might like the eng version more but..... idk i like the lyrics of the japanese version a lot more? and obviously i only know them via a translation but i know for a fact that the entire focus of certain songs are different between versions.

like in the english version of the game begins, L is talking about his strategy to track down kira. but in the japanese version, he's more so talking TO kira directly and saying that he's going to take him down from his "god" status to hell. or mortals and fools, which had a wholeee different vibe in the japanese version being called like a cruel dream. and uhhhh am i insane or was rem's song before she dies an entirely different song? cause in english it was like a sort of generic love song that was pretty chill considering the context, while in the japanese version it was this superrr melancholic and striking ballad she sang while floating around misa.

idk but i really do think i prefer the japanese version. but the og english version is good too!!! i really liked hurricane and the way it ends in particular

Throws a bunch of dhmis self insert doodles at you! A slight redesign of the puppet s/i (new outfit courtesy of my bff!) plus a couple of AU things! For my human design for Red/Harry it does look pretty typical but with the reveal of his teeth in the new season and to mirror how you never really see his ‘true’ face, I thought it’d be cool if he had a cleft lip that he usually keeps covered with a mask.

If I ever find more time/motivation I’ll probably do a more in-depth design but here’s this for now :3

#might slightly beat out the thing (1982)#great writing acting practical effects and it's actually pretty scary!#nobody does zombies like romero im telling you #i neeeeed to watch the original dawn of the dead #i've seen night of the living dead i've seen day of the dead and i've seen the dawn of the dead remake #which was actually pretty good even though im not a big snyder fan #night of the living dead is one of the movies that made me deathly afraid of zombies as a kid #and i only watched the first 5 minutes akdhkdh #i've seen the whole thing now of course #they're zombie movies where the real bad guy always ends up being power-tripping militarized assholes #day of the dead being that case the most #spoilers >>>>#every other zombie movie totally gives up on the zombies outside of a medical cure or vaccine #day of the dead explicitly goes no. they can be redeemed. they can be retaught. they can remember.#the only reason it all gets fucked up is because of that MOTHERFUCKER #oh but he gets his. it's too late but he gets his #never thought a zombie shooting a guy with a gun would be the most satisfying cinematic climax ever but guess what.#it was #and then that fucker gets torn apart while he's still alive and it's looks so fucking cool because the practical effects in that movie rule #oh man and the ENDING. im still thinking about the ending #it's so.... it's so abrupt and jarring and contradictory that you can't help but question it #it feels almost... delusional? in denial?#they're running to the copter and there's a wave of zombies and it's hard to tell if they can make it there fast enough #they're getting in and at the last second the girl gets grabbed #but hardly before you can even process that...#snap cut. the three of them are on a beach. no zombies in sight. she marks off a date on a homemade calendar #it feels impossibly idealic... like the movie can't bear to give you an unhappy ending so instead it lies #it's not impossible they made it out. they could've gotten the zombie off her and made it out #but the way it's structured makes it so ambiguous

#such a good album it is Insane that like. you never really see it talked about outside of certain spaces #and even then it was originally derided for being much less heavy than its predecessors #such a smart album lyrically and even in just like certain songs like peacock skeleton with crooked feathers #which btw is my go-to song to introduce people 2 them #for obvious reasons. the way the vocals play off each other #the keyboard #aforementioned lyrics because man they’re good at writing political lyrics that are simultaneously very pointed and relevant to this day #and also just plain fun. the way they word stuff rolls off the tongue very well #which I suppose is very much in part to Whitney being a very literary guy from what I’ve read up about him #SPEAKING OF!!!!!
