higuruma who likes wine. i'm thinking he likes it almost as dry as his coffee but he's very appreciative of the fruity undertones — like you can tell the mood he's in based on the wine he's bought.

he wins a case and he already has a bottle of pinot noir open and waiting for when you finally get home, tie loose and manspreading on the couch, hair tousled and a small dopey smile (yes he started without you but don't worry, he's sure you can keep up)

i really gotta wonder what goes through the heads of people that are adopt don't shop EXCEPT when it comes to service dogs. as if this somehow makes them noble? as if service dog users are the only people in the world that deserve dogs with stable temperaments or dogs that are bred with thought towards their health and structure? it's a really bizarre way of thinking that really, to me, harkens to the ARAs that are anti sled dogs until it's somebody doing it for fun only or until you mention indigenous people. are you so afraid of looking ignorant for your ill held beliefs? is challenging your currently held beliefs about what's 'morally right' for dogs that uncomfortable?

there are so many other jobs that dogs currently DO for us that require balanced, stable, healthy, purposeful dogs (including companionship!) and on top of all this dogs deserve to exist with thought and care put towards their existence. Dogs do not deserve to only exist if they're random happenstances from backroad strays or somebody's ill conceived backyard litter with zero health testing. dogs deserve responsible breeding just as much as humans deserve to have dogs with responsible breeding. how is this remotely hard to grasp?

A new day, new thoughts.

I remembered (it was either a fic or I dreamed it) something about forest fairies. There was a waterfall, the main character, abduction, acceptance or recollection, rescue, and protection. And then I remembered some of Daniel's photos, which gave me the feeling that he had sharp elvish ears. The story by the wonderful @onboardsorasora about the fairy Daniel came to mind…

It was a hike. They wanted to set up camp by a forest lake. Max doesn't like nature. There are no outlets in nature. But there are annoying mosquitoes. Instead of the World Wide Web...there is a web. The phone connection doesn't work at all. No matter how hard Max throws the phone up, Discord doesn't load faster... it doesn't load at all.

Max walked, bending under the weight of his backpack, sarcastically replied to the jokes of his friends, grumbled at the inconvenience and just wanted to go out to the lake.

Evening. The whole company gathered around the fire. They play stupid games with alcohol and have fun. Max is just glad that they brought alcohol with them, because I remind you, his simulator is not here. At one point in time he loses touch with the world, and at another moment he realizes that he, Lando and Alex are going deep into the forest. "This is a bad idea," Max thinks, and then he hears a crash.

"Damn it! I got into something!" says Lando. He leans against a tree and checks his shoe.

"What the hell?" mumbles Max and points with his finger at the strange... wreath? A dreamcatcher? on a tree.

"Oh, I think witches live here," Lando giggles and almost falls over. They're too drunk for all this.

"It's not a witches, you idiot!" – Alex seems scared. "These are fairies!!! You broke the fairy circle!!!"

Lando bursts out laughing, and Max just wants to go to bed.

"What fairies? Alex, have you been drinking anything else? It's all cartoons and bedtime stories." - giggles Lando.

"No, you don't understand! You stepped on mushrooms, the circle broke, we're all in danger. If we don't offer them a gift, we'll be damned!" - Alex runs his hands through his hair and pulls.

"What kind of gift should we give them? Oh, I've thought of it! Max, come here!"- Lando is still amused by the situation. And Max... he just wants to lie down, and that moss under the tree looks very soft. He could sleep here, it's not that far from their camp. Tomorrow he'll come back, yell at these idiots and throw all their stuff into the lake. Sounds like a plan.

Alex says that he's a fool and should take the situation seriously, Lando lays Max down on that soft moss and walks around him wailing. Max... Max blinks slowly, looking at the sky. Well, the sky here is amazing. A bunch of stars, barely visible Milky Way. It reminds him of the ceiling in his childhood bedroom.

"O great fairies of this forest! Forgive me for breaking your oval! Here is my gift, forgive me and don't get angry!" - he holds on for five seconds, and then laughing loudly, clutching his stomach falls outside the circle. Alex seems to be pulling out his hair.

"Okay, that was funny, but let's go to bed already. Max? Have the fairies taken you yet?

"I'm not going to get up until morning. Go without me. See you in the morning." - Max rolls over on his side, puts his hand under his head and slowly falls asleep. He can barely hear the bickering of his friends anymore. He thinks that lying on the bare ground is not so bad.

A bright ray of sunlight falls on Max's eyes and he begins to wake up. He rolls over on his back, his eyes are still closed, some kind of shadow covers his face, the light no longer hits so hard because of the closed eyelids. Someone pokes him in the side with a finger.

"Fuck off. Another five minutes." Another push, Max knocks off someone's hand. They slap him on the cheeks. Well, that's arrogance.

"So that's it!" he screams and winces from the headache. He opens his eyes and...

"Who are you?"

"Your new master."

This "master" looks at him with his big brown eyes, there are some strange colored drawings on his face and pumped-up hands, his hair looks like sheep's wool (it looks the same fluffy and curly).

"Give me a Red Bull, and I'm all yours, handsome."

First off, let me say a huge thank you to a completely unexpected following. I never imagined I would hit 450. So as a thank you I'm going to do a lovely celebration

Now, you may be wondering what the heck is a Star Wars Fic Roulette. Well, let me explain...

You can choose two prompts from the two lists below, pick a Star Wars character of your choosing, and I'll write a fic for you.

Now here comes the Roulette part, you won't know what kind of fic it is, until I post it. It could be from any genre, romance, thriller, action, angst, hurt, comfort, etc.

There will be no smut. As you know, I do not write smut. It may lead to spicy, but it'll be like a one or two dot on the spice level. Maybe a three depending.

hey when they wrote "knight behind bars" and they wrote kitt helping a couple get together and they gave him the line "Some day, it will be my turn" [to find love]. did they know what they were doing. did they know that in some 40 years some gay autistic robot-obsessed little freak on tumblr would not stop thinking about it for weeks and write literal dozens of paragraphs screaming about it on discord. did they know they were going to ruin Me, Specifically, with this concept that feels like the culmination of everything kitt has gone through through the show and such a fascinating thing to think about in regards to michael and kitt's relationship,

one of the themes of knight rider is kitt developing as a Person, developing a line between the Knight Industries Two-Thousand, and Kitt. discovering humanity, his own emotions, the joys of the seemingly and logically pointless, and often through the lens of his own driver, his partner, his friend, Michael - his primary guide through all these experiences, his reference for those human things he doesn't understand. and as much as he initially claims to not be capable of experiencing emotions, of understanding feelings, he learns to. he experiences a wide range of emotions through the show even while claiming he doesn't, he even learns fear and insecurity. perhaps it's only natural a robot would learn to love, or at the very least be terribly curious about it and wonder if such a thing could ever exist for Him

the majority of people are not exactly kind to kitt. they talk about him like he's not there, they talk about him like he's a machine, a novelty, some people are even scared of or disturbed by him when all he's trying to do is make polite conversation and company. he's always Othered - there's no other cars like him (at least not anymore), but there's no other person like him either, he doesn't truly belong among humans or vehicles. some of the technicians at FLAG don't even seem to fully respect him as a person, at least they don't based on my vague recollection of how they talk about him in Junkyard Dog. when Michael asks him after KARR is destroyed if it feels good to be one of a kind again, he doesn't say yes or no - he only says it's a "familiar feeling." it may be familiar, but it's surely also isolating, and i think that's something he'd realize as he slowly picks up this curiosity about love. where could he even find it when so few people see him as an equal person to begin with?

and then there's michael. oh my god, and then there's michael. no matter what flavor you choose to read it in, the whole show is about their relationship, they're a duo, a set Not to be separated, they're Partners. they work together, they worry about and look after each other (forever insane about when kitt was a melted shell, Michael stuck around the garage for hours, waiting for any news like a worried spouse, constantly checking on him every opportunity he got... encouraging him to recover, and even helping paint back on his protective coating... kitt always looks after michael, but for once, it's michael's turn to look after Him), in a way they were Made for each other - Kitt more literally, being programmed for Michael and holding his namesake, but Michael was also made in a sense for the pilot program, hand picked and given a second life to work for the foundation and with this strange supercar. and even if they had a rocky start, michael comes to view kitt as a person - car, TV set, or computer core, Kitt is his partner, his buddy. he helps him find himself, guides him and teaches him about these things that make us human, and in a way, kitt becomes human - but his entire experience is still through the perspective of an AI in a car, it's still very unique and isolating, and I think he sort of grows into his own limitations, he's finally brushing against the walls that define him.

he learns of love, and then he learns to dream Of love. these things he sees in the movies, that michael tells him about, that he so often sees michael Partaking in that he gets so oddly jealous of, doesn't it all seem so wonderful? he's very curious. but who could ever love steel and circuitry, who could ever see him as an equal let alone a partner in a romantic sense? who would ever love a car and all the limitations That comes with? it's a problem for a hypothetical hopeful Some Day, in the meantime stuck between two worlds where he doesn't perfectly belong to either, where no car Can love him and no human seemingly Would love him...

and michael loves him anyway. before either of them really realize or talk about it, in spite of everything, in any form, regardless of the fact it wouldn't be a typical relationship by absolutely any means, michael loves him anyway. kitt is as much a person to him as bonnie or devon or RC, and that person is someone he loves and cares for deeply. the feeling is mutual, kitt's world revolves around michael, he's one of the most important people in kitt's life, and he'd do anything to protect him.

and it is michael that will finally teach him to love, and what it means to feel loved in turn, to be loved as the person he undoubtedly is.
