~~~It’s My Dream~~~

There is nothing domestic about the majestic fields of white lilies. Their vibrancy and aroma can put me into a coma.

Is it really any wonder the love that radiates and cast a spell that I went under?

I spiral into a planet of dreams where I imagine anything can happen. All events of sadden, swiftly I slacken.

It’s my dream, this means, I can elect to direct its energy flow wherever I wish to go.

The horses frisky fillies dances through this field of white lilies. The feeling is not of willies, more of all smilies!

Through every devastation, this is one way to pull myself out of the circuit of frustration.

I choose to recall fun and happy moments. These memories changes the mood in everything and I rest in love, joy, comfort and peace.

Let me say it again, it’s my dream, this means I can elect to direct its energy flow wherever I wish to go.

I don’t believe in having no fears, but I do believe in facing our fears. Posted this 8 yrs ago, but I still do this. I still speak to my deepest emotions, my fears, my desires, the daunting uncertainty about how my sharing will be received, whether things will work out, and how. I still take the risk of living fully, even if it scares me along the way. I still make room for all of me and won’t let fear run me off. Lapse

Time seems to be moving so fast the older I get. Recently I was writing out a timeline of my life getting years down and seeing how old I was, what moves happened when, what schools I went to, and defining points in my life.

I'm realizing how alone I really was. Why I grew up so quickly and It's plain to see on the timeline. I never had the time to be a child. Too many things were over lapsing and sadly thats just how my life was. We are all dealt certain trials to endure that help build us up or knock us down, but that is the choice we have. To say this is all I can do and it's not good enough or... No this isn't going to stop me, I have goals that are my own and I will reach them and NO ONE is going to get in my way.

These are defining moments. Oddly enough they become our favorite memories for the only reason being is that subconsiously we know were actually really freaking poweful. These moments show our strength and character in the best most raw ways.

I guess what I would like to leave you with is this thought. That while time seems to continue on no matter what just know that you are strong and courageous and amazing. Choose your defining moments and make them bold not for anyone else but for you. No one else is going to live your life so you gotta do it.

If you are having a hard time, read this and say it twice or more then twice if you have to.

Remember we all go through hard times, we just have to get through it. Easier said then done of course but you can do it, just don't quit!

Surround yourself by good people and that will help. Make sure that it's people that are actually there wether they understand or not. Even if they don't understand they'll do anything to help out.

Chinoiserie Mural Project

Installed last week, these Chinoiserie panels were created using stencils in the Chinoiserie style. Chinoiserie is the European interpretation and imitation of Chinese and East Asian artistic traditions, especially in the decorative arts, garden design, architecture, literature, theatre, and music. At first, the client wanted the stencils in white. However, after the initial painting, she decided she wanted them in the colors of her interior design motif of turquoise, blue, green, lavender, and purple. I’m so glad she went that direction! It turned out beautifully. This project was so important to me as an artist. See why below!

I was overjoyed to install this 3-panel “mural” project last week. The first inquiry about it came to me a week after being laid-off from my corporate job last year when I was in a whirlwind of “what next?” and considering both a full-time job as an artist or another corporate job or the like. Aside from the encouragement from my amazing hubs, this out-of-the-blue project request was one of the things that gave me the courage to start the most creative, fulfilling, curious, exhausting, and fun years of my life. It was the proverbial “sign from the universe”!

This client was a dream client – with a beautiful style, funny sense of humor, and adorable pup. She said she was fine with me doing other projects if I needed to while working in her’s which gave me the opportunity to do the Phoenix Mural Project. Now, this project is done- she’s delighted and I have bittersweet feelings about not having those birds hanging around my house. I am so glad I made the choice I did, scary as it was, to devote my life to my own creative process plus spotlighting the creative geniuses all around with @youarecourageous. These silvery panels were at the start of it all!

Do you see what you want to see, rather than what is? 

Does your care for others cloud the truth? 

Does your love for humanity make it easy to be taken advantage of? 

Do you tolerate peoples' cruelty because you know they are suffering in their own way so you choose not to add on to their pain?

Do you carry others' suffering because you know how heavy of a burden it can be to carry it all on your own?

Do you know you can do it alone, but that you don't have to and that you shouldn't? 

Do you take people for granted even though you know you shouldn't?  

Do you know that time will pass whether you choose to be happy or miserable?

Do you know you are not broken but that you just need time to heal? 

Do you know what you are capable of?

Do you know that you are most definitely stronger, smarter and more capable than you think?

Do you know that it does not matter what people think about you, about your past, about your decisions?

It would only matter if they understood AND accepted the "whys."

For there are layers, mysteries, sacrifices made, struggles endured, and adversities overcome which shape us and which are not always so transparent. Look beyond judgments and prejudices, and realize you must want the best for you and for all -- even if they hurt you, even if they misunderstand your intent.

It is not your responsibility to carry that burden. When you realize this, you also realize that love has set you free and that you must keep moving forward--regardless of who wants to stand with you.
