Reading the reaction to Larian's decision to fully step back from wotc/d&d/etc has been interesting
a lot of mourning of the loss of "content"
"we could have had years and years of content" "this is heart breaking to never see these characters again" etc etc
is that what you really want? content? is this what modern media production has come to, that people aren't sated with anything less than milking a property until it's a barren husk of anything it once was?
Why can't we be happy with what we have? I don't think it's unfair to be sad about this news, especially given that it felt like some things were being teased or hinted at, and now they most likely will not come to fruition (at least at larian's hands), but is that really so bad? If you're so dissatisfied with a character's ending or arc, write a fanfiction, draw fanart, boot up the game again and just imagine your way into what you DO want
is that not the fundamental nature of d&d?

also also jaiden or roier or BOTH living weapon au. I thought of that one last night and i want to remember it. i want them fuckin Ruined by the federation i want roier turned into something he never fully was and i want jaiden to become something she was before. i want roier to be a Weapon specifically for that spiderbit dynamic. roier now would do anything for cellbit because he loved him. what if roier would kill for cellbit not because he loves him but because he was told to, because it Feels like he should do it the way he was made to follow federation orders. roier who hides his emotions behind laughter and jokes being forced to hide them behind menace and silent intimidation. he feels so much but then the federation gets him and numbs him. cellbit and roier made into killing machines. cellbit was grown into the person he is while roier was specifically pruned. roier is one of the people who is the Most himself because a lot of the aspects he puts forwards are the ones he’s chosen. i want to take that choice away and see what happens.

Phantom Transcendence
We've seen Danny Phantom in Gravity Falls.
We've seen Danny as frenemies with Bill Cipher.
Those were both in canon.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TRANSCENDENCE AU!!!
Ghost King Phantom and Alcor the Dreambender I think would be great friends, or maybe rivals.
Two absolute chaos gremlins with near infinite power and their own dimension to control.
Danny the Infinite Realms and Alcor the Dreamscape.
Both of them terrifying eldritch entities that can be summoned with gummy worms, research notes and a redbull.
Both of them are regularly summoned by stupid cultists that harm children even though it's been recorded that child sacrifices lead to the slaughtering of the entire cult.
Both of them immortal, forced to live while their family dies and reincarnates.
Just, I want my eldritch boys to have another friend that can be there with them when their families and friends aren't around.
I think they'd get along great, both of them are too smart and sassy for their own good. Both of them nerd out about random things and absolutely they would be able to pull the other into their newest hyperfixation.
It's just, sometimes, when it's been a while since either of their people have reincarnated, they both tend to lose a grip on reality and start to talk in the language of the Ancients and their new setting for their Dungeons, Dungeons, & More Dungeons game is coming along great, now we just need people to play in it, oh, there's some nice people, let's just take them
and then Danny and Alcor have accidentally become gods of an isekai world.

Viv: Sinners cannot leave the pride ring.
Okay, got you. Valid.
Viv: And if they sell their souls to overlords, they must always answer to them. No matter how sadistic their desires.
Understood. Makes sense.
Viv: Also, sinners can't have children.
...............no.

“Obi-Wan lifted his arm up, turning it back and forth, making a satisfied sound. On the underside of his arm, hidden previously, were additional marks, three broad lines splayed out from the inside of his elbow, a miniature sunburst and--“

Ahhhhh! I'm absolutely invested in your fantasy AU! I love it so much, and I can't wait to see more content of it! (Take your time, of course! Don't rush yourself!) I was wondering (sorry if this has been asked before or if this is a silly question) but would you mind if people drew their OC's in this AU (hope that made sense) and made fanart of the AU? Anyway, have a wonderful Morning, afternoon, evening, and or night! :}
Thank You! i'm actually writing an indulgent tidbit right now! no one is having a good time in it!
you guys can Absolutely fuck around in this fantasy sandbox! i don't mind people having fun with my aus, cause they're here for that reason - for fun! to play with characters like they're dolls! to practice worldbuilding (tho that's just a special treat For Me)! I'm not very serious about aus <3

went so far to soothe this soul
Mickey eyes the plain white envelope suspiciously as he slowly takes it from Ian’s hands. His brows furrow slightly. “I thought for sure you’d make us take the day off from work.”
“No, not today,” Ian says playfully, pretending to think about it. “But tomorrow, don’t bother setting your alarm.”
Mickey grins, all teeth. “Long weekend?”
The hopefulness in his eyes is already enough to convince Ian that what he has planned is a good idea. Just the prospect of a day off has Mickey beaming.
“Extra-long,” Ian tells him, rolling over to the side and propping his elbow up on the mattress, his head resting on his fist. “We took Monday off too.”
// ian and mickey celebrate their fourth anniversary together

if you want to get a step-by-step manual how to get me to block you, here it is: 1. comment in the tags of one of my gifsets criticising the source material (e.g. the chibnall era of dw); 2. in those comments, say that you haven't even seen the entirety of the thing you're criticising (while criticising the whole of it); 3. express an absolutely ridiculous wish, which belittles the source material even further (e.g. that jodie whittaker come back in an rtd-created special)
congrats, you're blocked
