After I finished my Sally multiverse variant's I decided to do an Amy Rose version , I might do some more of these if I get the inspiration...

Prime/Mainline Amy - I've done Amy Rose redesigns before but never of her modern design, so I took a crack at it. She's a mix of Lolita and Y2K inspirations. I also modified her hammer with some heart motifs as I really like to use them in my mainline Amy designs.

Anti Amy/Rosy Rascal - Such an iconic character, however I did want to give her an outfit that wasn't just a recolor of classic Amy. I used Amy's gothic skin as inspiration and darkened her color palette to differentiate her further.

Boom Amy - This design is perfect so I changed very little, just added a headscarf to change up her hair accessory. I also gave her a more rounded silhouette to help sell the perfectionist vibes her character has in the show.

Classic Amy- Again I want the classic characters to have more chibi attributes so I definitely pushed the simple cuteness in this Amy's design. Her color palette has more pastels and I used the quill style she had in the manga comics.

Zamy Zose - This Amy never showed up in the archie comics however I think she was confirmed to exist by one of the writers, so I came up with this agent getup for her, a stark contrast to the rest of the Amy's. I like the idea that all the no zone variant's look more like actual animals than the rest of the cast, make's them look more serious.

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie - it's the book that has been on my TBR on goodreads the longest and it's time to finally read it

Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton - It's becoming my mash potato book (I term I heard recently where, you are sure you're gonna love it so you keep putting it off). This is the year to do it!

How Paris Became Paris by John DeJean - I plan to visit Paris for the first time this year, and I love to read books about the countries I visit before I go. This one I have had on my TBR for a long time, so now feels like the perfect time to read it

Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare - She let me down recently and I'm borderline about to retire her as an author I read but,.. I feel I need to try this new, non shadowhunters book first to be fair to her.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert - I loved the previous two books in the series and Eve Brown is my favourite of the sisters. This year, I'll definitely finally read this

Eva Luna by Isabel Allende - This year I want to read my physical TBR down, but I love translated fiction and this is one of the few I own I still haven't read. So I want to.

Idol, Burning by Rin Usami - I nearly bought this book last year and didn't because I wanted to read what I owned already. But its stuck in my mind so this year I would love to buy and read it.

We'll Meet Again in San Francisco by Duong Thuy - I bought this on my recent trip to Vietnam, so I just want to read it asap. It'll also be the first *translated* Vietnamese book I've read.

The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson - Since I read A Good Girl's Guide to Murder in '23, I have gone ahead and read all of Holly Jackson's books. She has become a new favourite, so I'm highly anticipating this.

The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolano - I often cite his book Amulet as a favourite of all time, so this year I really want to read his magnum opus

Zami: A New Spelling of my Name by Audre Lorde - Similarly, Audre Lorde is a favourite author of mine and this has sat unread on my shelves for far too long.

The wren, the wren by Anne Enright - a lot of people keep telling me I will love this book, so I wanna test that out

If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin - I have a thing with Baldwin where, if I see a book of his, I buy it and make it the next of his I read. So far I've read three of his books, I picked this up last year and need to read it soon. I loved the movie

When We Were Orphans by Kazuo Ishiguro - I really like Ishiguro and yet this has sat on my shelves unread for a long time. I think it's because I find his books quite immersive and heavy I'm always waiting for the right time. I feel it's become the right time to read it.

Howards End by E.M Forster - I've read two of Forster's works and I've always told myself I would dig deeper. I figure with his most well known work is a good place.

Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingslover - Somehow this book slipped under my radar and I only vaguely knew about it until it won the Pulitzer and Womens fiction prizes. I love Dickens so it feels natural I read this.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson - A classic I have had my eye on for some time that I finally managed to thrift. A high priority read for me! Probably will save for the winter

Bruny by Heather Rose - My grandma gave me this to read at Christmas so, I would like to tell her I read it.

I have 4 saved spots which I am undecided on, but will probably fill later with new releases.

DISCLAIMER: FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW WHAT ZONZAMY IS, I WILL EXPLAIN. So, this is like another dimension, in a place called No Zone. Everyone’s names start with the letter ‘Z.’ So, the Sonic in No Zone is named Zonic, and Amy is Zamy. SO, it’s sonamy, but in another dimension. This is an AU.

It was a normal day in No Zone, and there were zone cops running around Headquarters, getting to their missions. A zonecop in particular was just roaming around the place.

    “Hey, Zonic!” Zails, the scientist/mechanic of Zone Cop Headquarters yelled at the zone cop. “Ms. Zamy is asking for you, Zector, and Zespio.” Zonic nodded.

    “Thanks, Zails.” And with that, he zoomed off to Zamy’s office. Zector and Zespio were already inside.

     “Where were you?” Zector whispered to Zonic. He just shrugged. The chair behind the desk of where they were standing at spinned around. It revealed an 18 year old pink hedgehog with a white office blouse, and a black pencil skirt with a slit on her left leg’s side. She had her hair in a bun, a few strands of curly quills messily placed in with a bobby pin. It was, Zamy Rose.

     “Oh! Zonic, finally. Now that all three of you are here, I would like to address two things. Number one,” Amy stood up, and leaned against her desk. “You failed to catch Zcourge. Again.” She had a disapproving face as Zector whistled, nodding his head to the side, gesturing that it was Zonic’s fault they got away. Zamy looked towards Sonic. He sighed.

      “That son of a b-” He looked at Zamy to find that she was not amused with what he was about to say. “...I mean, Zcourge, was insulting you, and I got outta control and started beating him up-

     “-and started destroying anything within a one mile radius.” Zector interrupted. Amy just glared at Zonic.

      “Thank you for defending my name, Zonic.” She went back to her office chair and sat. That’s when Zonic noticed that her quills were a little out of place, and her office blouse was pulled down a little. “Anyways, I have Zhadow and Zilver working on that. “Number two, Zails has found some new leads on a mission that we’re debating on. We don’t know whether to abandon the case, or continue. We don’t even know what it would result to finding out! It’s stressing me out!” Zamy was their friend, but also their boss. No wonder her blouse looked out of place.

     “Don’t worry, Ms. Zamy. We’ll go to Zails to ask for the leads, and we’ll try to figure something out.” Zespio spoke up. Zamy nodded. Zector and Zespio left, while Zonic stayed in place.

      “Well?” Zamy asked, not taking her eyes off the paperwork she was skimming through.

      “Aren’t you going to lecture me about letting my anger get the best of me?!” Zonic snapped at her. She seemed unfazed by his actions.

      “Actually, I’m in a good mood, and I want the people around me to feel happy too. But, I like scolding you when I’m happy too. It’s usually a source of my happiness.” Zonic looked annoyed, but decided not to think too much of it. 

     “C’mon, babe.” He sat on the desk, and leaned his face towards her. She nudged her face away, a small smirk visible. He pulled at the bow of her blouse, causing her to lean forward.

    “W-What are you doing?!”  Zamy asked, feeling a little spooked at his actions. He slammed his lips against hers, and continued in a compassionate, little bit of tongue kiss. He licks his lips, and pulled back.

    “Mind telling me why you’re wearing a pencil skirt with a slit?” He took a breath, trying not to let his inner-feelings do something unexpected right on the spot. “And a blouse that shows cleavage?” He asked, dragging his finger along her cheek.

   “I’m having a sleepover with the girls.” Zonic held a laugh in. 

   “A sleepover? What are you? Eleven?” Zonic burst out, falling to his back and started laughing hysterically. Zamy just kicked his foot. Once he was relaxed, he went over and hugged her from behind, taking in the rosy scent of her quills. “Baby, I’m sorry!” He kissed her neck. “Why are you so excited though?”

   “I’ve been so stressed these past few weeks, that I’m starting to not care about my hygiene, and never really pay attention to how I look.” She turned her head to Zonic. He lowered his eyes, and put his nose on her cheek. “I’m not wearing make-up. Sorry.” He pulled away.

   “Zames, don’t apologize about not wearing make-up. You’re beautiful either way. Second of all, why hang out with them to relieve the stress? You could always ask me~” Zamy rolled her eyes at his playful behavior. They were secretly dating, with only Zails and Zream knowing.

    “By the way, the sleepover’s happening in Zouge and Zhadow’s room.” Zonic made a face. Zhadow gets to be a part of the sleepover. That’s not fair. As if Zamy knew what he was thinking, she cleared his misunderstanding. “Znuckles won’t be in the sleepover. Zhadow will be hanging out with you!” Zonic grimaced. He didn’t enjoy hanging out with Zhadow. Zamy kissed his cheek and pushed him out of her office.

Zonic was with Zhadow, Zails, and Znuckles as they tried to find out how to crash that sleepover. Zilver was there too, but was raiding through Znuckles’s fridge. 

      “Why don’t we just dress up like Pizza Delivery guys?” Zilver asked, as he brought some soda back to where the boys where. Zonic snapped his fingers.

      “YES! I mean, it’s not full of pizzaz, but that’ll work!” They all snuck into Zyra’s (lol my oc in no zone dimension) room and looked around. She had some pizza delivery outfits. They took an old pizza box from Znuckles’s fridge, and ran to the other side of the dorms, where Zouge and the girls were. Zonic was forced to wear the delivery uniform as it would only fit him. He rang the doorbell, getting ready to switch to Znuckles in case Zouge opened the door. To his luck, Zamy opened the door.

In. A. Nightgown. 

Zonic’s seen her in nightgowns before, seeing as they both share a dorm. (Zamy managed to switch with Zhadow because of their arguments.) This one just seemed. . .

Different.

Not a bad kind of different. Zonic liked what she was wearing but tried not to focus on that. She leaned against the door, obviously recognizing Zonic. 

    “Yes?” She asked, amused at his antics. 

    “Pizza delivery for some young ladies?” He bowed, as he showed the pizza box. Amy smirked. 

    “Code pizza, girls!” This confused him heavily. What did she mean, code pizza? She turned back to her secret lover. “Lower your men.” Now this made Zonic even more puzzled. What did she mean by lower? She pointed up towards the ceiling. Zails was in the vents, while the others were kept up against the ceiling by Zilver. Zonic mentally face-palmed at their stupidity. 

     “Oh...Still...pizza?” He asked her, as if hoping she would get the memo to open the door all the way for him. She knew their plan, and she wasn’t going to let them have their way. 

     “Mmm...No thanks, we’re fine with pizza.” She smiled at him, and started to close the door. Before the door shut all the way, he stopped the door with his foot. 

     “I hope you know...I don’t go until I’m paid.” He said in a flirtatious voice that got Zails and Znuckles suspicious.

     “And I hope you know that I don’t want anything to do with that cheesy stuff.” Zamy’s words had a double meaning. 

     “OH C’MON, ZAMY, LET ME IN!” Zonic yelled in anger. This was not the plan. She was supposed to let them in so they could have fun with them. It wouldn’t be fun looking through their window, because they’d just be doing something boring, like putting make-up on, or gossiping.

     “Wow. You already resorted to begging? Hm. I thought you could do better than that. Oh well,” She opened the door all the way, as Zilver dropped the the boys without mercy, and Zails climbed out of the vents. She let them in, and the boys sat down next to their respected girls. Zonic sat a little closer to Zamy, giving her a pillow to cover herself. Did I mention that even though this is another universe, Zonic is still overprotective of Zamy.

      “Let’s play Truth or Dare! I’ll go first. Who’ll I choose?” Zouge asked. Everyone raised their hands except for Zonic and Zhadow. Zouge smirked and picked Zonic. Zamy and him were internally screaming at what she might do. “Zonic, I dare you to go into the closet for seven minutes with Zamy.” Zamy looked away. Zonic sighed in submission. Zamy followed. Zouge put a timer for seven minutes and stood outside the closet, with Zyra and her tripod.

     “So...what should we do now?” Zonic asked, loud enough for the people outside to hear them. 

     “I don’t know, but what I do know is that you’re going to keep your lustful self on that side of the closet, and me on my side.” Zamy said, making noise in her corner, pretending that they’re moving. Zonic grabbed Zamy and locked his lips with hers. They tried to be as quiet as they could, not raising suspicion. He pinched her butt, however, Zamy kicked him in the crotch. Knowing that Zouge may have heard that, she goes “Zonic! Are you alright? Did you hit your head against the shelf?” She said loudly, making sure that Zouge didn’t suspect anything.

     “Ow...I’m fine, Zamy...” He rubbed his head. “How much time is left on the timer?” Zamy looked at her phone.

      “Two minutes left.” They sat there, cuddling to their hearts’ content, until the door opened and Zamy was pushed to the other side of the closet. She glared at her boyfriend, who only nervously chuckled. He was gonna get his ass whooped later on.

HEY, SO, I know this was TRASH, but then again, I am sonamy trash, so...

This is an AU I made named Sonic Inverse, and it’s basically a “what if?” AU based on what Scourge’s Universe would be like if it existed after the Archie Sonic Reboot. Btw, most of these aren’t final designs, and mostly concepts.

More facts and stuff:

This universe also has things borrowed from other iterations of Sonic, such as ideas in Sonic The Comic. This means I used some of the characters in there as well, such as Turbo and Extra Life Sonic, who gets renamed Xeno. Turbo still has the Alien hedgehog thing going on, and ultimately works as a “space cop” of sorts. Extra Life Sonic’s 1-up box is found by the Alien race enslaving Turbo (which I still haven’t given a name). This lead’s to him being captured, as well. The alien race also find a prototype Metal Scourge. Turbo get’s partnered with Extra Life Sonic, who is now referred as Xeno, after being named by Turbo when Xeno tells him he doesn’t really have a name, as he’s just a copy of another person. Turbo and Xeno have a brother relationship. Xeno does have a plan to break out, as he originally only got captured willingly, thinking that the alien race might have had info on Sonic.

Reck The Tasmanian is supposed to replace Shadow’s role as Scourge’s rival. He was also an experiment, but somehow managed to escape when he was younger. This was because during the time, Dr. Ivo was being defunded by the King, meaning all of his labs were raided. Both him and Shimmer are orphans, in a sense, as Shimmer lost her parents, and Reck is an experiment. Shimmer The Bunny is supposed to be Reck’s younger adopted sister, and takes Cream’s role!

Prower hates Scourge, because of an incident that happened between them when they were younger. This also goes with Pentas The Hellion, the Amy Rose of this universe, as she also hates Scourge because of an incident between them. (Mind you, I still haven’t posted the concept art for her, because, again, my phone is broke and I can’t take pictures of the art unless I ask my friends but I don’t want to bother them.)

Scourge’s dad is King Maurice, who basically manipulates Scourge as he grows up. Alisson Acorn, Sally’s counterpart, is the General of the King’s army in this Au and she’s in charge of training Scourge. She’s mostly forced to ignore the abuse that go between King Maurice and Scourge, which leads to Scourge hating her.

The Zone Cops do exist, and I have my own version of Zamy, who is more of a partner to Zonic. She befriends Pentas The Hellion at some point, but is exiled from the Zone Cops themselves after she helps Pentas break out of the prison.

The Blaze of this universe, Lilac, does have rivalry with Pentas.

I know this might sound dumb, but I’m also using Coldsteel in this universe. He’s an experiment as well, but is mostly locked away in the King’s castle because of how catastrophic he can be. He’s mostly a trump card against the other kingdoms. Scourge does eventually use him whenever he gains control over the kingdom after he gets rid of his father.

Prower isn’t a tech guy in this universe, he’s a biologist/chemist. Null, the Knuckles of this universe, is the tech guy.

Null has a sister, and his clan still exist, except he was banished after rejecting the idea of being the guardian, as he was forced to deal with violence. Null hates violence for anything, and hates that it was an ideal that the clan thought that was supposed to be practiced. This does break the ties he has with his sister, but he does try to help her leave the clan at some point.

Rouge has her own clan, as well, and they’re enemies with the echidnas. She takes role of the guardian in this universe.

Honey The Cat and Breezie do exist, as well, named Maple The Cat and I’m still working on Breezie’s character. Maple and Inverse Breezie do have a rivalry, as well, as Maple is a crime leader who works undercover for the King, and Breezie does the opposite, and tries to limit crime. 

King Maurice is extremely manipulative and influences most of the kingdom to fit his own wants, even as going as far as building a bad reputation for his “son”. This means that even if Scourge does call him out on the shady things he does, no one believes him as he’s painted as a troublemaker. Scourge does try to sabotage his father’s plans at times, and that gets him in plenty of trouble.

Antonio De Corales, Antoine D’Coolette’s Inverse counterpart, is one of the most high ranking soldiers in the army. He’s mostly against Scourge, especially whenever he becomes King. He starts out not trusting the people who want to remove Scourge from the position as King, though, because he still honors his job. He does come around at the end and helps the rest of the gang (Prower, Null, Reck, Shimmer, Pentas) defeat Scourge. (I still haven’t made a Bunnie for this Au, though)

Hi angels! It’s Elle. I recently hit my first milestone here on tumblr and I couldn’t feel more grateful for that. And since I’m receiving so much love and kindness from you guys I wanted to send some love and appreciation back! This post is to celebrate YOU and your amazing blogs. 

When I started my blog last year after leaving tumblr 6 years ago I wasn’t sure if I would still fit in. Wasn’t I too old now for all this fandom stuff? But I found not only love and hope through our beautiful bangtan boys, but also through reconnecting with my former passion, the passion for making all kinds of creative content with photoshop. So I wanna thank you all so much for reblogging and liking my content, for spreading it and praising it. I still can’t believe that!

My left hand closed around the open mouth of the teapot as the steaming pot of boiling water rested in my other hand against the edge of the sink. The snake ring that Muriel had given me for my birthday curled around my left index finger, silver against my brown skin. I considered the back of my hand and my wrist as it disappeared into the cuff of my shirt and sweater. Almost casually, I realized what was about to happen, as if all of this was a story in some book that I had read thoroughly some time before.

I felt the tension rising in my right arm, and my right hand began to shake. I watched as the pot slowly rose from the edge of the sink, and the boiling water poured over the lip of the pot in slow motion onto my left hand as it rested upon the teapot. The water cascaded down, bounced off the back of my hand and flowed down the drain. I watched the brown skin cloud with steam, then turn red and shiny, and the poison began to run out of me like water as I fumbled at the buttons of my shirt cuff and peeled back the wet cloth from my scalded wrist. The steamed flesh had already started to blister.

Walking into the staff room next door where the rest of my colleagues sat discussing book orders. “I’ve burned myself by mistake.” Then pain erupting into the space left empty by the draining away of the poison.

The mortar was of a foreign fragrant wood, too dark for cherry and too red for walnut. To my child eyes, the outside was carved in an intricate and most enticing manner. There were rounded plums and oval indeterminate fruit, some long and fluted like a banana, others ovular and end-swollen like a ripe alligator pear…. I loved to finger the hard roundness of the carved fruit, and the always surprising termination of the shapes as the carvings stopped at the rim and the bowl sloped abruptly downward, smoothly oval but suddenly businesslike. The heavy sturdiness of this useful wooden object always made me feel secure and somehow full; as if it conjured up from all the many different flavors pounded into the inside wall, visions of delicious feasts both once enjoyed and still to come. The pestle was long and tapering, fashioned from the same mysterious rose- deep wood, and fitted into the hand almost casually, familiarly….
