Whoops, the player wouldn't have the Justice gear in Hotland in the G-Route, so I've changed the background (earlier featured in THIS little image collection) to The Core. Thank goodness there's plenty of areas there that let me keep the backlighting. (I also fixed a few details on The Kid.)

Deltarune & Doors

There's an odd thing about the Dark World & doors...

In both chapters, the Dark World has been contained behind doors. In Chapter 1, Lancer somehow got into Ralsei's kingdom, due to a large door (the one between the closet & the abandoned classroom) having been opened somehow (which Ralsei closed behind us as we ventured through it, & remains sealed after the Card Kingdom's fountain was also sealed).

In Chapter 2, the Computer Lab's door was changed from single to double (though that may have just been a technical thing so Susie & Kris could both fit at the same time). & when the Light World version of the Computer Lab was revealed, there's an open door to a closet.

& at the END of Chapter 2, Kris specifically opened the front door, before creating the Dark Fountain.

Then of course, there are the "shortcut" doors that resemble Sans's from Undertale, & Papyrus saying it's like it leads to another world. One UT door is a rare secret & connection to the Mystery Man (Probably-Gaster).

Several locked doors are present in UT & both chapters of DR, teasing us with possibilities, some of which are eventually fulfilled (shortcuts unlocked, shopkeepers showing up, our rooms at Ralsei's town being finished), or probably will be (Ralsei's other rooms & his own, other rooms in Kris's house, Sans's house [please Please PLEASE???]), while others remain unfulfilled & mysterious (closed for renovations).

There is even a being who listens eagerly for knocking, & encourages us to keep practicing knocking on doors.

Doors can, of course, be symbols of opening up to new opportunities & the future, or closing them to leave your past behind. Another-Probably-Gaster said, on Twitter, that they look forward to creating a new future with us.

Who knows where the next doorway may lead...

Wow uh HI I'm ALIVE (sort of, sometimes). Lots of hard times... but also, lots of progress in my life. I've recently been struck down again by misfortune, but even then, I'm suddenly finding myself with creative drive again! :O

I had to work like crazy to get my Wacom pen to work properly, and invested a long time into getting it to feel more natural than its regular settings allow. And it paid off. It feels much better to use. So I milked that for all it's worth in one evening!

Sooooo, have these sketchy scribbles of some bone bros! Except mostly Papyrus. Sans turned out kinda bad, lol, but that was my first attempt and a pen test. Plus I'm experimenting with some different styles. I like a few of these. Think I'll try these back and forth, see how that goes.

Despite not practicing all this time, I analyzed the heck out of my art, so I apparently can still improve in that manner, huh... And my, like... artistic vision came back for the first time in decades. To where I have an exact idea of what I'm going for, instead of flying blind and going "ok good enough I guess". Now I know what I want, AND apparently can get pretty darn close to it, without a zillion do-overs! I'm relieved that I'm still capable of that after all. Thought it was gone forever. ^^;;

And at the same time, I'm learning NOT to be held back by attempting unachievable perfection. From now on, I'll be OK WITH MISTAKES, as long as I can get the piece finished, and it evokes the emotions I'm going for! And boy does that mindset help! AND still turn out good! :D

So yay! I don't know how much I'll be able to do, but I'll certainly do what I can, whenever I can, and we'll wait and see.

(And by the way, DELTARUNE OMG!!!! I'm gonna double this blog to also include Deltarune art, don't mind me, they're cousins. ;D I have SO MANY Spamton sketches and concepts, hope I can finish them soon! ...........In fact I wrecked my hard-earned sleep schedule last night due to drawing one of them so much GAH!!!! I can't keep doing that though, lol...)

99.9% of the time... *too pained/sick/tired/busy trying to pull my life together to feel like drawing. Plus emotions not working = no inspiration or chemical reward for putting in the effort.*

0.01% of the time... *FINALLY feels JUST decent enough to want to draw, has enough energy, AND enough spare time!!!! ........Then THIS happens........*

(At least editing this went ok. Lemons, lemonade, etc. ^^;;)

When listening to a great cover of "Decision" by Ayumi Hamasaki (here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjZMq3D_ioI ), I felt inspired enough to want to supply lyric translations, paired with an image of Edge (Underfell Papyrus), due to how well they fit with mine and @kaptinkate ‘s RP story (still being converted to fanfic format... I'm actually making good progress on that!). But oh jeez, technology hated me, making what should've been a super quick project into 4 days of hellish frustration. But without getting way into that, it's finally completed. Far from perfect, but I'm trying very hard NOT to be a perfectionist; it's one of many things that have held me back from creating art all this time. I'm learning to be ok with flaws. It'll likely still be a long time before I finish more art though; this put me through the wringer due to the art programs and video editor all effing things up, making me fix things over and over and over. It was downright traumatizing to my delicate inspiration for daring try to create again. It's gun-shy yet again. I hope it can overcome that and let me continue stories I've left untold.

Note: I don’t take credit for the translation; I know a little Japanese, but not enough to do it myself. I instead combined four I found online, and tried to adapt them, since two were done by people who also weren’t fully fluent in Japanese... and the other two were by Japanese people who weren’t fully fluent in English. ^^;; So I wanted to just grammatically fix it so it’d flow decently, without changing the meaning. Hopefully I did ok with that.

I Randomly Made an Undertale-Themed Skin for Windows Media Player 12!?!?! X3

WELL! This was quite a departure for me! >w>

I wanted to make a media player compact, yet visible for when I do art streams (If I EVER end up feeling up to doing that again... heh heh... ^_^()). Anyway, I then had the desire to make it Undertale themed. So I made a micro player with only the basic screen customized, and made it tentatively public. Folks loved it, but wished it was bigger. So I doubled the size, and went all-out with customizing it, including many details, even little easter eggs. But MAN it was tough! Not only having to learn programming on the fly, but also the fact that Microsoft's own official dev documentation had mistakes in it! And the weird language it uses is a clusterfluff of non-standard syntax, so it was hard to find out how to do what I wanted to do. But I'd say I got it 90% the way I wanted it, which I'm proud of. Especially since it fought me tooth-and-nail with technology BULLCRAP that ALWAYS happens to me (changing a bit of code would break something else completely unrelated, etc)! So much trial-and-error, I think I'll be dreaming about re-opening this player over and over again to see if I got pixels lined up just right or whether or not I broke something with each little code edit I did... There are a few minor visual bugs, and some things need to be clicked twice the first time you load the player. There's peculiarities with the docking/undocking of sections as well. But there's nothing I can seem to do about those, hopefully it's not enough to ruin the experience (I myself have gotten used to 'em). Someday I might do a couple more tweaks (and fix things if I can ever figure out how), but for now, I think it's not bad for my first skin edit, and for having to do a lot of coding when I've never done any coding before. Well, enjoy~!

In my favorite headcanon of Underfell, the Fellbros treat each other roughly so that other monsters are less tempted to use them against each other. Especially with how delicate Sans is. Papyrus treats him as his underling, just barely useful enough to be outweighed by his failures. He doesn't hurt Sans physically, just doling out verbal abuse, shoving him, and dragging him around by the coat hood or the collar. Sans knows not to take it personally; it's all for his own protection. And he knows that Papyrus hates to treat him this way. All they both want is to be close, to be family. But in this kill-or-be-killed world, that would be a death sentence. They're forced to be distant and lonely, no matter how closely they stand to one another. I tried out an experimental style for the heck of it, to try and pull myself out of art block. At least it's something. I hope I can keep up the momentum.

It was obvious that [Red] was fighting tears and his whole body was shaking. Although his hands were still pouring out healing energy, they had stopped moving.

It tore at Edge's soul to see his brother like this. Red was so delicate, and seeing his fragile body tremble and his soul grow so vulnerable, made him want to hold him close and protect him from all fear and all pain. He couldn't, but he had do something.

The blanket had been pushed aside in his earlier efforts to get out of bed. Edge grabbed one corner, and swept it dramatically into the air. It billowed upward and outward, then drifted down over both brothers. Edge held up part of the 'ceiling' between his face and Red, so they could see each other, his eyes glowing softly in the dark shelter of the impromptu blanket cave. The world was shut out. It was only the two of them.

Red almost immediately felt comforted by the fort. It was just them.... no one else could see him cry, and so he let fat tears roll down his cheeks.

Another illustration from mine and @kaptinkate‘s Undertale/Underfell RP story (no link yet, it's almost ready though!). This time, I drew the lineart, and she colored it! <3 She did an amazing job! Very similar to my style, too! The story we made is just gripping my heart and won't let go. It’s supposed to be basically a cut-away or cross-section of them under the blanket. I hope I managed to convey that somewhat... o.o

OMG this took  me WAY too long for such a short clip! I was way too perfectionist. @_@ But anyway... here's a clip that I'm WAY OVERDUE on contributing to WaffleTea's (@teandstars) Dancetale MAP (Multi-Animator Project).

Using their guidelines for each character's dance style, I rotoscoped some Capoeira dance with Undyne. While Alphys's is listed as hiphop/j-pop, I had her a little laid-back/shy to perform. But Undyne found her so adorable and wanted her to get more into it, so in she comes with a rowdy twirl! XD

Thank you so much, WaffleTea, for being so crazy-patient with me taking so long while I wrestled with my mountains of physical and mental ailments. You got me to start drawing and video editing. I owe you so much for this opportunity.

OMG! I was once teased that it’d be 6 months until my next release... They were right! ^_^() So sorry!

Glad to finally have this done after lots of depressive slumps and art block. Hopefully I can keep up a better pace from now on!
