Practicing some more Chibis, so this time around I pulled some of my favorite OC designs to make fan art of. These are the Wonderful Glam Rock Sophie from @zerozeroren , and I made Glam Rock versions of Emerald Entropy from @mikaila-orchard , and Saige from @lily-orchard to match. I picked these 100% based on design. I was going to add two more from Lily, but I don't know if Asana and Vanessa would go Glam Rock. (forgive me if I've misspelled any names, I can correct them)

I hope everyone enjoys them!!

I’d like to thank everyone who was at Lily’s stream tonight, especially @zerozeroren !

This piece I have neglected for so long cuz I was afraid of coloring it, but Lily’s perspective on art and Ren’s support finally helped me finish this piece. And I’m pretty proud of it!

It was an awesome stream and I hope everyone who was there has a wonderful day/night!^^

Yeah, I know, she did the same to me I think because I'm critical of Lily's stuff. It sucks but them's the breaks.

REALLY IMPORTANT for context, the picture of Lily Mikay and Bonnie (for some reason) comforting a woman, that picture is of Lily's friend Zerozeroren, not Lolo. They made that picture last christmas as a gift to Ren alongside lots of other art they commissioned for her. If you want weird art of Lolo there's two different examples, one she made last august: https://archive.ph/jT5wb, and another one she made for the pokemon video there's a clip during the gen 8 segment where she shows a drawing of herself fawning over Lolo for a split second.

Ah my bad, not my fault Morch can't make two characters look different from each other though.

So this is even creepier than the previous one.

Think those comments about "aggressively chasing much younger women" may have been projection there, Lorch. Given Lolo has been a fan of yours since she was a teen.

Oh, so this is some kinda story! And I guess now y'all are gonna hear it.

The truth is I've been holding out on most of you because back on my birthday @zerozeroren gifted me with an incredible piece of art that is going to require a bit of explanation.

So here we go.

Being a lover of So Bad It's Good Media and a watcher of Booktube videos, it was inevitable that I would hear about the supposedly spicy, supposedly deadly fantasy trainwreck that is Lightlark by Alex Aster. For anyone who might not have seen the liveblogging I did of that, I thoroughly enjoyed the book for a bunch of reasons Aster never intended and had to pause listening to the audiobook several times because I had to stop and laugh at the ridiculously poorly thought out shit going on. For anyone who's the sort to indulge in So Bad It's Good media, it gets my recommendation. (The sequel Nightbane does not; that was both utterly stupid AND horrifying in its unintentional implications. But I digress.)

Anyway, this piece of art came about from talking to Ren about some of the characters, particularly our main character Isla Crown and her love interest Oro.

There's been a lot of confusion on how to say Isla's given name. Before I listened to the audiobook, I would have assumed it would have had a pronunciation similar to island with a silent s. But no, according to the audiobook narration, her name is pronounced Ice-la. Upon hearing this, Ren declared that a "Pokemon-ass sounding name." And that's when I realized that Isla is implied to be humanoid but it's never actually specified. The people of Lightlark are divided into six different types of beings, and Isla is a Wildling. But the only actual descriptions we get of her are that she's got brown hair and she looks like her mother. So in defiance of the obvious setup to picture her looking like an ice-type Pokemon, I chose to picture her looking like my favorite purple ghosty boy Gengar.

But that's only the part of the picture I've been using for my icon. I haven't shown most of you the other part of the picture that has Oro. Oro is a Sunling. (I swear these names are killing me.) The big conflict of Lightlark is that all of these fantasy races have been cursed and they're trying to complete a ritual according to a prophecy in order to undo them. Sunlings in particular are cursed by being harmed by the sun, the very thing that would normally give them power. Oro is also something called an Origin, meaning he has powers from the other fantasy races, though the primary one we see him use besides his own power is the Skyling ability to fly. Between being harmed by sunlight, the implied nocturnal existence that comes with that, and his ability to fly, Ren and I decided he was basically a vampire. And I was like, "We need to pick a dorky vampire to represent him. I know! He should look like Alucard! Not sexy new Castlevania animation Alucard but like what Alucard looks like in Captain N: The Game Master!" (For the record, they are technically the same character. Alucard in Captain N is the same Alucard from the Castlevania series. But the character designs in Captain N: The Game Master are...questionable.)

And that led to this:

Take it in. It is a thing of cracktastic beauty. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. What else can I say but Ren has done it again.

Here's a short for sophietony

Tony placed another ornament on the tree and surveyed their work. He and Sophie had done well with the arrangement. Not that Sophie made an effort to balance it - she just grabbed and put things on. But she had a knack. And he did arranging of his own placements to accommodate. He smiled, admiring the shimmer and shine. It wasn't perfect, but it was theirs, and it was lovely.

Then something caught the corner of his eye. Sophie, eyeing the top of the tree. Her knees bending a bit as she readjusted her feet. The star topper in her hand.

Oh no.

“Sophie!”

She practically fell over. “What! Ack! Sorry!”

“Nothing!” Tony said automatically, but followed with, “I mean, I can help with that! The topper. For the tree.”

“I can do iiiit,” she whined, looking up at the tree again. “My jumps are getting better.” But she still slowly extended it to him.

Tony felt bad taking the opportunity from her, though Cow was likely to cause the tree chaos later anyway. But that was later. “Um, how about I help you?” He didn't take the star, but moved behind her, placing his hands on her waist. “Jump up and I'll help.” It was the best thing he could think of in less than 5 seconds.

Sophie paused, then lit up brighter than the tree. “Okay! One, two, three!” She pressed into the floor and jumped, arm outstretched with the star. Tony wasn't expecting her to go so quickly but hurried to lift and support her. She went up, high, and got the star onto the tree in one fell swoop.

She looked so gleeful, so excited and happy, Tony lost himself in watching her.

Unfortunately, his arms were not so lost, and reminded him they were not made for lifting people longer than .5 seconds. Or his legs. They shook, and Tony had only a moment to think ‘oh no’ before he fell. He managed to angle away from the tree, but brought Sophie down with him. 

Tony ended up on his back, and Sophie sprawled partially on top of him. She sighed, blowing hair out of her face, and Tony was afraid he'd just messed everything up. But then Sophie moved a little and looked up at him.

“Thanks for the help.” She smiled, then giggled, a small snort following. 

Tony grinned, relieved and endeared. “Anytime.”
