Haha. I’ve been sending my friends who don’t play it stuff as I’m losing my mind over things. They at least seem amused by some of the art I send. There’s an adorable new race, some really cool new characters and just. The locations in general are gorgeous. I got to go see the concept art in a gallery near where I live and it was such a fun experience. The new land is so pretty, I’ve been just running around exploring for a while now.

As for memories and stuff being canon and non canon like- one of the two headmates from there? He’s so sure that the plains and gentle hills of a nearby valley to where he’s from should have sheep and goats and was baffled when the only animals he could find were foxes, boars and pigeons. We’ve tried recreating a food dish he remembers fondly- with questionable success but it was still fun. We might try it again sometime, or try to make something else. The game has so many delicious looking food items but they’re incredibly simplified for the sake of mechanics. It’s a fun puzzle, as well as thinking of how to substitute for stuff that just plain doesn’t exist here in the same capacity.

But when they get a bit homesick it’s tricky because. We don’t always know how to help. There’s something so similar yet, it’s a game. It’s different from what they remember and I’m pretty sure I’ve accidentally sent one of them into a vaguely existential spiral about things too. I like listening to lore and theorizing but he was understandably disturbed by hearing about “dead god water” that we had to shut off the video. He misses the church but can’t remember the songs, and it’s incredibly alienating sometimes. The foods different here too. When we were talking to the bodies mom about recreating a dish from home she said something about cutting the meat up like how you would for tacos and our homesick friend was just??? What’s that? One of the things our boys bonded over was sharing a fruit that just. Doesn’t exist here.

How do you deal with stuff like canon and non canon, funky memory shenanigans. Don’t want to pry just, kinda curious. Sorry if I went on a bit too much -🌌

its super fun to try to make recreation dishes... & well.. we have a LOT of separation from source. less so in that we dont see our sources as ourselves and moreso that we see them as well... alternate versions of ourselves. its the same with canon vs 'our' canons. theories and headcanons about our source are more like fun (or not so fun) hypotheticals than anything. as for homesickness. well. i cant say we really experience that beyond missing people that no longer exist in the same capacity. there are times where we wish we could be back in our source but its pretty easy to ignore. sorry we dont have better advice for that- we've kind of mastered um. the art of ignoring that shit until its completely forgotten. there are people in sys who have more issues with it but i dont really remember what they do ever so.

If you're coming from my recent sys posts, you're probably wondering about gt. It's the basis of this Tumblr although we as a system have a complex relationship with it.

The following is written by Para, the biggest gt trash of us all and unofficial owner of the account. It's quite long...

G/T?

G/t stands for giant/tiny and describes content centred around interations between larger and smaller beings.

Think Gullivers Travels, Secret World of Arietty, Iron Giant etc. They can be human or non human. There are SFW and NSFW sides just like everything, and it ties into microphilia and macrophilia which are sexual kinks.

The scale of size difference ranges depending on a person's preference, but I prefer one similar to the movies I mentioned above. I do love me a minigiant though ;)

It's a shared interest, most of the people I spoke to have experienced a love for g/t since they were children, myself included.

Some people have a very close connection to the idea, and identify strongly with or as a giant, tiny, or even a shifter. Others just like it as a special interest.

It is very commonly used as a coping mechanism, with many people finding comfort in their preferred size or interacting with others either bigger/smaller (me included).

Lots of people have their own OCs, but there is fandom g/t content of youtubers, games like FNAF, anime and tv shows too. G/t comes in many genres (sci-fi, modern, romance, horror, fantasy) and moods (fluff, fearplay, "classic" cruel giants, monsterous giants, angst, borrowers).

The sides have successfully integrated Virgil's regression and Roman's age dreaming into their dynamic, and everyone seems happier for it. Though, Virgil's willingness to trust the others is tested when a long-term problem starts to present itself around his family; his regression leaves him susceptible to wetting himself.

Caregivers Patton and Logan try to help him resolve this issue as well as help Roman through his insecurities, all while navigating their own newly-discovered romantic feelings for each other.

But Mommy always calls Roman a clever little boy, so he’s gonna try to deal with all that stuff anyway! That can’t be too hard, right?

CHARACTER PROFILES

NOTE: The characters in this AU are very different to their canon counterparts (especially Vee). I'm not rly trying to make them in character at this point, just having fun developping my own versions of them!

Vee

Role: Age regressor - involuntary

Little age range: 2-24 months (0-2 y/o)

Uses she/her and fae/faer pronouns but does not label her gender identity - link to a guide for pronouns and gendered terms for vee - also doesn't use her full name!

Vee is a baby regressor - she is mostly non-verbal, uses baby items and is very mild-mannered. You will usually see her napping, cuddling her family, playing lap games with her CGs, being tickled by Roman, or gushing about her favourite Sanrio characters.

Complete Papa's girl ti the point of developing separation anxiety with Patton.

She is very sensitive when regressed - so much so that she will cry at almost anything, especially when she’s already anxious for whatever reason.

She has regressed ever since she can remember but only found out what it was called within the past couple of years.

Fae struggled a lot with faer regression for many years and was incredibly insecure about it because of the lack of support fae got when fae lived with the “Dark Sides” before running away when fae was 16-years-old (but this will be resolved - there are no unsympathetic sides here!)

Fae is autistic which you will see affect many aspects of faer life.

Roman

Role: Age dreamer - voluntary

Little age range: undefined

Uses he/him pronouns

Roman is a kid dreamer - when he’s little he is very playful, energetic, and prone to tantrums. You'll usually find him colouring pictures for his family, dancing and singing, playing with his beloved cars, pretending he doesn't want cuddles, or pouting.

Secretly a Mommy's boy but don't say it out loud or you'll have a blushy little boy glaring at you.

He also has a middlespace where he acts like a teenager. It's mostly defined by emotional dysregulation and insecurity, so he tends to act out against his caregivers in this headspace.

His littlespace and middlespace are not very clearly defined by age because he simply acts however childish he feels like acting in any given situation. Some of his behaviours are typical of a four year old, some an eight year old, some a twelve year old, some a fifteen year old... You can't pin him down!

The fact that his age dreaming is voluntary and very conscious is important. He knows he's a grown up even when he is acting like a child.

He has ADHD which you will see affect many aspects of his life.

Patton

Role: Caregiver

Nicknames from Vee: Papa, Daddy

Nicknames from Roman: Dad, Daddy

Romantically involved with Logan

Uses he/him pronouns

Patton is a very nurturing and funloving caregiver. He’s the kind of CG who will bend the rules as soon as he sees Vee's lip wobbling or Roman’s puppy dog eyes (which Roman 100% does on purpose)

He can occasionally get carried away with his concern for the littles and become overbearing and even insecure in his ability to care for them despite it coming so naturally to him. His cg headspace can become dissociative for him at times.

He was Vee's caregiver before Vee had even (willingly) been little around Roman and Logan, and was already 'taking care of' her in certain ways before he ever knew about Vee's regression, so him and Vee have a very special bond.

Logan

Role: Caregiver

Nicknames from Vee: Mama, Mummy

Nicknames from Roman: Mom, Mommy

Romantically involved with Patton

Uses he/him and they/them pronouns, identifies as a demi-man

Logan cares about the littles just as much as Patton does, but he struggles with showing affection openly at first. Still, he manages to open up and is far more adept at showing his family just how much he loves and appreciates them all.

He is a big stickler for the rules and sticks to them for the safety and wellbeing of the littles. Enforcing strict bedtimes and sugar limits are very important to him (except he has a weak spot for Patton and the moral side can and will use this to get Logan to drop the rules)

Loves playing make-believe with Roman and reading to Vee.

Janus

Role: Babysitter

Nicknames: Nana (both littles), Gaga (just Vee)

Janus has a rocky history with Vee and is part of the reason Vee felt so ashamed about her age regression for most of her life. He lightly teased Vee about faer childish behaviour not realising that it was a coping mechanism - he never meant to cause harm to Vee and is very remorseful about their past.

He wants to reconcile with Vee and show her that he accepts her regression by offering to babysit the littles on occasion.

Touch-starved and ready for love

Remus

Role: Essentially the chaotic cousin that can’t be trusted around children

He is not integrated into the family dynamic but once Janus has been accepted into it, Remus shows up from time to time to wreak havoc

He is generally immature but he is not a little

Remy

Role: Essentially the cool cousin figure that Roman puts on a pedestal

Remy is not involved in the family dynamic though pays a visit every two months to have a meeting with the sides about Thomas’ wellbeing. Logan and Patton also visit him every other Tuesday for a "meeting", which mainly consists of drinking wine.

He is aware of Vee and Roman’s littlespaces and is non-judgmental of it.

Roman looks up to Remy a lot and thinks he’s ‘the coolest person ever!’ and will often go out of his way to impress Remy, much to Remy’s exasperation at Roman’s clinginess.

Dr. Picani

Role: Vee and Patton's therapist.

Emile is not one of Thomas' characters in this AU, but a real therapist in the mindscape.

He was Vee's therapist at first (she sees him every Monday afternoon) but eventually notices Patton's own troubles and offers sessions for him too. Every other Wednesday he sees Vee and Patton together for family therapy, and every other Friday he sees Patton alone.
