Okay so I have this idea.

FIRST of all! We all hate what happened in endgame and never forgive Steve for leaving Bucky behind. That’s canon.

But what if?

What if their last conversation was Steve asking Bucky to fight for him, just like he was fighting for him in WS and TCW. What if Bucky couldn’t do it because he wasn’t feeling worthy of Steve’s love at that time? He was like „No, just go get Your Lost life there’s nothing here for You.” And Steve was like „but I have You here” and there was quiet, or something like that. What if? He just go, because he remembers that with Pegs he has a chance but later he think that on this platform Buck will see and give them a chance but he just says „I’m gonna miss You” and Steve whole world just colapses. So he is the one who was fighting for love and lose terribly? Can we have this AU?
