ships I hate in DC

(heads up this is just my opinion and this is just my own critique of the story line and character!)

were discussing two canon ships I hate. green lantern and star sapphire, selina and bruce wayne. first off I hate whenever DC tries to milk and couple from the old comics ESPECIALLY when the stories just mush together just like green lantern and star sapphire, the thing I most disliked about this canon ship was how in the other variations of the comic of their relationship star sapphire is either 1# literally sleeping with green lanterns or the green lanterns core younger coworker(kyle reiner) Or in another issue where she tries to create a life where she has a normal healthy relationship with a guy(i forgot his name but he literally became a new lantern of sorrow) And let me tell you why he became the lantern of sorrow real quick! because she chose to chase and save hal from being injured and ditched her own wedding that was already planned to cling on the most rocky relationship she has with hal. and the most toxic thing dc fans especially the defenders of this ship, and how 'oh well they weren't like that in a different issue-' and truly as a way to describe throwing away gold is an understatement for how diluted and how desperate the female characters seem especially when being written with a specific love interest. And now selina and bruce, their whole relationship stems on literal sexual drive and how 'misunderstood' they are when they literally never even tried to open up with anyone else prior to their encounter and dont get me started on selina. why dick and jason?? I get that she is this flirty 'untamed' woman who is cat like but to literally act like she is in heat anytime a man is a 12 feet away is just so absurd. and bruce just excusing her behaviour since he 'loves'? mind you this is a man who had flings and never had any real connection with anyone who isnt a parental figure or a friend or child, so to say that its going to be a long healthy marriage is a little absurd, yes bruce is also whore-ish like selina but the same time their whole relationship feels forced and stemmed in sexual contact and adrenaline. and I HATE people who say that 'oh, selina would be a great mom/stepmom to the batkids' when she literally slept with dick and NEARLY got jason too, those people have never read a comic in their life and to be so diluted to think that it would be something to cheer for isnt a good look and the ship on itself is the most wattpad teenage hormonal fantasy it could get especially with the complexities of the character and how they literally are in the opposite spectrum and none of them wont even stick as long as it should have.
