Help our trans friends out in the world. Spread this like wildfire. This could save lives. This will save lives.
Hi, friends.
I’d like to ask you to pass this post on. I think it’s going to be remarkably helpful to some of our other friends out in the United States.

Reblog this with a comment for an aesthetic.
Give me as much or as little detail as you want about the style of your aesthetic. If you want me to give you one based on what my brain associates with you/your account, then comment “Up to you, boo.” Cheers. x

Yo, just some talk and thoughts.
It's me, Vi. So, I'm getting hella emotional about my man going away to college in a year. I'm a grade level behind him. I also want to go to college in the area. I want a PhD. I'm hella afraid I'll be cut off by school for 8-ish years of my college and the one year ahead of me that he is. He wants to go far away. So many good schools want him. I'll hype him up all day about going to NY for engineering school, but imma miss him like hell. I just have a hard time dealing with the thought.

One: This is very well written.
Two: We go to school together, and I cannot stand how true this is.
Three: You could honestly edit this around and do it for forensics.
Four: No school or person should ever be a statistic. Ever. The numbers keep rising. Someone died in a Colorado shooting yesterday, at a school. There are shootings that don't always get viral attention like that, though. Who knows how many schools have had threats and actions taken based upon those threats. The world is a scary place.
A Note On Current Society
I’m a sophomore and soon to be a junior in high school. Today, I ran the risk of a significant portion of my school dying or being at that risk. We as a student body knew there was a risk to our lives.
I personally, and a large portion of my school, have never been to a school where the risk of a shooting wasn’t a significant issue. And we have had enough.
Below are the names and ages of those killed in a multitude of shootings.
My school was almost a statistic. I was almost a statistic.
“Starting with Columbine, there have been 85 school shootings. Those shootings have killed 223 people, including students, teachers and staff. That adds up to 11,100 years of life cut short by gun violence. ” * Any deaths since this article was published are not included.
My school claims to be a family and a United one at that. But we are not. No high school is. And especially not one with students numbering in the thousands. We have groups and factions. We are not united.
But today we were. Today we were untired by fear. Today, today we were untired by the fear that our fellow students may not make it through the day.
Today we were unified by the fear that we could all die today.
We could all die. I might have died if the threat had been real. But it wasn’t. No, the threat was only that, a threat.
But what if it hadn’t been? My school didn’t seem to care. My school has never taught us as students what to do in an active shooter situation. All we have ever been told to do is hide in the dark. Don’t run, hide in the dark.
Someone I go to school with posted this on his Twitter.
“About three days ago, on Friday, May 3, [my] High School announced that there had been a threat to the school that had been planned for Tuesday, May 7. The situation was investigated and yielded no results. As a result, the event planned for that afternoon was cancelled and additional officers were assigned to the school for that day. I am not the first person to be posting about this, and most certainly won’t be the last, but this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Every single student, teacher, and staff member in the school was and still is at risk. If something were to actually happen, the school did not take all measures possible to prevent the threat. As I stated before, I am not the first to address this issue, multiple more of my peers have voiced their fears for their safety, both online, and in school. Some of whom were called directly to the office and given a talk about how “safe” the school grounds are. A good portion of these students’ parents completely agree with their children’s claims, and yet the school has done nothing else to ensure the student and staff safety. We have a right to fear not only for our safety, but for the safety of those around us. I am speaking as not only a student, but a child left under the protection of the school when I state that l and so many others are terrified, and the repression of our fears does nothing to help them. All schools, not just [my own] need to address things like this with more severity and listen to their students’ concerns. “
Another friend posted this on Facebook.
"Rumors have gone around that there is going to be a school shooting on Tuesday, May 7th; the principal has said that there isn’t enough information to back it up, and that there will be just a few more officers on Tuesday. lf it does happen, and people are hurt, or even worse, killed, just know: [my] High School did not do everything they could to protect us.”
The way my school “ protected us” today was by having a few extra police officers around. That’s all. I spoke to multiple people who were there and that’s what I was told.
I didn’t go to school today. I didn’t go because I was scared if I went into those double doors, I wouldn’t be coming back out. I was scared that if I went to classes, I’d leave them in a body bag. Yes, that is dramatic, but that is the world we live in. I’m 15 and already scared that my friends could be dying around me.
I shouldn’t be wondering if I’m going to outlive my friends until I’m an old woman and trying to beat them.
I was told you did it out of fear
As though the fear of
My fellow students didn’t count
Some of us didn’t make it out
Calling and texting our goodbyes
And hoping we can see family again
Raised here, this is the norm
Even though I cry remembering it all
Death by school shooting is now common
Forget about our families
Or the friends we leave behind, but we
Really don’t.
Missing death hidden in the bathroom
Yet I still watched my friends die
Leaving to return to class,
I cried and sobbed
For my loving teacher and classmates,
Each had a bullet aimed at them **
What if I had taken a sick day?
Would I have had to watch you die?
And watch everyone there sob?
What if you had the flu that day?
Would you still be here?
And smiling happily from your bed?
What if they had sped on the road?
Would a cop have pulled them over?
And saved all of us from that?
What if you hadn’t been shot?
Would I still have my best friend?
And someone I know I can trust?
What if you didn’t know her?
Would you have still jumped?
And landed in the bullets way? **
What if I had been shot?
Would you have made it
Until the next day?
And been there home
With your family?
I’d do it.
If I could go back
And push you out of the way
Putting myself there instead
I’d do it in a heartbeat
I can’t
Even though that’s all
I could ever want in the world
You back here with me
Not in that cold grave
With a bullet hole in your chest
Because he hit you
Your heart has been shot
But mine has been shattered
Because I’ll have to go on
By myself
Without you **

Restless eyes
Bright twinkling sky
Drifting along the edge of the night
Hear the soft hum of the wind
Make the darkness a home
Within your calm soul
Find yourself in the night
Fall in love with the shadow
Of what once was
Or what can be
See the future
And the past

As an employee of a wonderful book store, I hate to get a glimpse of the back of the book without a synopsis. Breaks my heart. All of the children's books have them and they gradually go away as the maturity age of the book increases.
Things to bring back in books:
Chapter titles
Actually having a synopsis on the back instead of reviews no one will read

I am, personally, not a lesbian. I am all for helping the community, though. The flag design is well thought out and I like it.
Alright Lesbians, The Old Flag Sucks And So Does Our Approach To Fixing It.
So I’ve seen a lot of posts about how the L in LGBT is getting forgotten in posts about us and how people are using the fact we no longer have one unified flag to fly under, as an excuse.
The lipstick lesbian flag was offensive but at least people knew what it was.
The new flags are inoffensive but unidentifiable. Straight people don’t know what our flag is when its two feet in front of them and that’s a design problem.
So I’m here to explain why none of the flags suggested so far have really stuck in mainstream culture and hopefully fix it.
The main reason is our flags suck from a graphic design standpoint. Their purpose is not easy to figure out unless someone labels them. We’ve taken the bio hazard mode of symbolism; pick a sign that’s both memorable and meaningless and through cultural education, assign it a meaning. This is a terrible fucking approach and therefor bad design.
So here’s the checklist:
1) Flag must have meaning
2) Identifiable to everyone. A person who has no idea what a lesbian even is should know just by looking that this flag, is about girls liking girls.
3) Unique and Accessible. Can someone who is completely color blind tell that this is the lesbian flag and not the gay or trans flag.
4)Traditional Color Symbolism. Use the culture your currently in, not the culture you wish to create as no one will understand that yellow is suppose to mean femininity. For now stick with pink.
5) Not Eye Bleeding. No Neon.
6) Inclusive. This ain’t just a white lesbian flag, this is an all lesbian flag. If people feel the need to add another colored stripe after the fact to represent themselves, your doing it wrong.
So If We Must Ditch The Old Flag, Try Replacing It With This. I Think With Enough Signal Boosting This Flag Will Catch On.
Symbolism:
The brown fem sign represents all the women of color that first fought for our rights and acts as a reminder to lesbians of color today that they are welcomed.
The white fem sign represents our more privileged sisters who gave the movement numbers.
The interlocking design shows solidarity.
The Pink Triangle is an inversion of the more famous triangle used to label gays in Nazi Germany. Its a tribute to those who’ve been hurt and a light house for those of us that are still hurting today.
The top of the triangle points up and forward guiding us
The base of the triangle reminds us of where we have been and how far we have come
Also meant to look like a couple walking down a never ending street.
The black outline represents those we have lost.
The magenta stripe represents the love we all share
The light pink stripe represents all the trans lesbians that call the community home
The white stripe represents all the non-binary lesbians whom we accept with open arms
The dark pink stripe represents femininity in all it’s forms.
FEEL FREE TO USE AS ICON/HEADER/WHATEVER! LETS SPREAD THIS AND BRING UNITY! REPOST, REBLOG, LETS GET THIS FLAG OUT THERE!
ONE FLAG TO RULE THEM ALL!

This is gonna be me in mock trial next year.
It’s not arguing, its debating…
Ravenclaw: Hey when you go to your meeting later. Please at least try to be diplomatic
Slytherin: oh please. I’m always diplomatic
*later*
Slytherin, slamming their hands on the table, at full volume: That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard and I resent the implication!

I'm good. Mostly.

I’m using voice to text and half the stuff I just said ended up being in Italian
So I said a bunch of stuff into voice to text and I guess I was talking too fast because half of it was in Italian. I’m still using voice to text because my brain is going way faster than my hands can type happens a lot but it’s especially happening now. it’s annoying because I have to keep going back and fixing all of the typos. Anyway, another annoying thing and then I’ll get to the anyway, anytime I try and put a comma it put the word comma. It’s annoying. On to be anyways. So I have a competition in the morning. As Viper knows. I am scared half to death. I’m excited, obviously, but I’m also terrified. I don’t know why this one is scaring me so much. I know it’s stupid but still. I don’t know. I just don’t like it. It’s annoying. - Raven

The lack of love in the world is sickening. Never, ever stop a person and tell them everything you hate about them. That shit isn't okay. Be a decent person and compliment them instead.
