My little brother is low-key threatening to tell my parents about my Tumblr and AO3 accounts.

I didn't come out to them, and I don't think they are supportive THAT much. So if I go missing one day and suddenly all of my works are private, you know what happened to me.

I probably should write few M/F fics to secure myself BTW...

My brother knows I'm gay, I mean he's not blind, it's just so obvious. Since he's totally aware of my recommendation pages and my interests.

He is just worried that "one day I'm gonna fly to another country and marry a woman" only because fics and some shows turned me gay. 😭😭 But he doesn't know that I was just always this way; it's that that now I'm comfortable enough to explore my identity and seek support in fandoms or whatsoever.

I tried to communicate on it it with him, but I think he just needs more time to accept it.

I also think that for now, we declared peace. So he'll leave me alone for some time.

The club blurred in colors, and music blasted from everywhere.

Colette was sitting next to me, and I watched her lips closely, trying to catch what she was saying.

“But don't you think I'm weird?” Colette leaned closer, that cute little gap between her teeth showing as she raised her voice on the last word.

“I have a whole universe created in this sketchbook...”

She glanced at me, looking a bit embarrassed, but didn’t wait for an answer. Instead, she reached for the bag on her shoulder.

“I guess it's a little crazy and—”

Colette flipped through the pages of her sketchbook, showing me something. But I couldn't hear what she was saying anymore, and the bright pink lighting in the club made it even harder to focus.

I just couldn’t stop staring at her lips.

And finally, I understood why.

The music exploded through the speakers, and my heart picked up the beat.

“Colette.”

It was getting hard to breathe. My cheeks were burning as she finally looked up at me. Her eyes, still excited, jumping to the sketchbook, the disco ball, her hands, and… my lips. As if to ask again,

“Don't you think I'm weird?”

And before I pull her in for a kiss, I say,

“No... I think you're pretty cool.”

I've never seen a non-linear plot structure on AO3, so I'm curious. I will obviously do proper guidance in notes and will make the map more accessible.

Basically, the reader here can choose preferable POV and can create a whole new storyline with each reading. As an author, I can handle so many scenes and attach them in correct order.

But as a reader — would some of you bother to explore additional scenes and try reading the whole thing? Or wouldn't it be troublesome for you to actually follow my guidance and scroll to the right chapter?

Yeah, but if your family apartment got bombed one day, I'm sure you wouldn't say something like this. As Ukrainian myself, I recommend you just to scroll through it and don't complain. Maybe don't even interact with these types of posts. But you never know when things will get enough political for you to notice the importance of voicing them. I hope you won't face this desperation and have a wonderful life without a war in your country.

For you, it's just a few unpleasant posts for me — it's reality. I live with this grief every day. There are more and more crimes and deaths with each day. I wish we didn't have to post it, I wish there were no problems to talk about. I wish we all were happy and could enjoy ourselves and communities without all of that. But sometimes posting about politics is not a choice — it is survival.

I'm sure you have enough resources to ignore the posts and don't complain about a small amount of negative you barely see. I'm sure you can filter it and take care of your mental health. Because people in some countries aren't that lucky, so try to be more understanding maybe??

I really hate when people take everything political.

Yeah, I know that these are important issues to discuss such as Trump or AI or Gaza.

I had a weaked dream about getting new 3 kudos on AO3 and it cheered me up so much I woke up at 4 am and checked the stats LMAO 😭 There was no new kudos. So I sat down and wrote another 1.7k words instead, and been involved with the writing till 10 am.

It was the best decision ever!!! And also later I checked stats again and got 2 new kudos so yuppie 🎉🎉

Currently working on Penny/Jessie request and Bibi/Piper draft. Gonna switch to Brawl Stars as the main fandom pretty soon 💪💪

Though at first I have to finish with the finals and close my Mean Girls Series 🥲

Poetry translation help

I wish you guys knew Ukrainian because it's not funny how I struggle with poetry translation for prologue 😭😭 I ate and left no crumbs but cannot prove it

The original is pretty short, and I played with rhythm and alliteration. But in English I cannot skip verbs, so I have to add even some more adjectives to make it rhyme. And there are some places I simply can't think of rhyming that easily, because the words are too different. 😞 I asked AI for help, his one got the rhyme, but used familiar yet different symbols, making it further from original.

I've been thinking about writing a story in 1st POV, but I know that most people prefer 3rd, so I decided to check in. My co-author and dear friend back in time was so strict about this that she refused to read stories no matter how good they were just because of the 1st POV. 😭😭

But, personally, I prefer 1st pov because of the mood and vibe and immediate immersion in character. But the 3rd one is classic and is no worse. I think it just depends on my mood mostly.

Any Brawl Stars wlw (F/F) ships ideas???

I have a lot of drafts for fics, but I would like to make them more fandom-centred. I'm a pretty old fan and played since 2019, so I know about Jessie/Penny and Bibi/Piper ship.

But since Supercell added more brawlers, there is now more space for shipping. For example, I didn't know that Bibi/Melodie is now a thing.

I didn't pay enough attention to what's going on in fandom for a while, as you see 😭

So I tried to come up with Belle/Juju ship because they both gave me gay panic, but the age gap is probably not giving 😔😔

Guys, I'm out of ideas...

Please drop all of your headcanons and ships 😭😔 Even/especially your niche ones, because I know nothing about new ships and it's your chance to set one more person up for your vision. One more Brawl Stars wlw fanfic wouldn't hurt, right?

The thing is... I'm guilty about reading it, and I'm aware that it is problematic in a way. But some fandoms do portray real people as characters, and it turns out awesome. You can find many familiar traits between works and patterns even though there's no canon here. And staying respectful to people's private lives, I do not ship them at all, but that dosen't excuse me anyway.

I just like the fandom base on ao3, and there're a lot of good writings here. I got inspired so much that I wrote a fic myself.

Right now, I'm thinking either about publishing it and taking responsibility for my actions or about stopping interacting with this type of works at all.

I was looking for alternative fandoms as well as considering turning my fic into original. But this way, I probably won't get much recognition.

What do you think I should do?

I've been writing almost the whole day today! Made it past through scene, I've struggled with, and added a bit flashbacks for the intrigue. Overall, it's +1k words, which isn't my best speed. But at least I'm satisfied with style.

My head aches, and now I can't go back to editing because I'm super sick of the text. Though I can't do other things normally either, because I just can't stop thinking about fixing that good old damn dialog, which I will use to build up plot twist. 🫠🫠
