Daily check in - Dec 31st 2024
Movement:
* No movement
Eating:
* I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast, skipped lunch and had KFC for an early dinner (it was my late birthday dinner because I was sick with covid on the 24th so I couldn’t have it then) they were only taking orders until 4:00pm so we had to eat dinner early
* Appetite was off today, didn’t feel like eating much. Since getting Covid, my appetite comes and goes.
* Had some Preseco sparkling wine early to celebrate New Years (parents don’t stay up till midnight so we do it at dinner time)
Water Intake:
40oz. Since I bought a new water tumbler I’ve been drinking a ton of more water! And it’s only been 2 days. It can hold 40oz!
Sleep:
* Sleep quality was good, went to bed with an upset stomach and nausea though (my fault, I ordered Wendy’s… 😅)
* Woke up before my alarm went off
* Slept over 8+ hours (plus a 2hr nap)
1 Thing:
* Since it was a holiday, I didn’t do much but I found some resources on how to move to Ireland which I’m thinking about doing! I’ve been having thoughts about moving to Europe for a while now, before it was Sweden though
Self care:
* Since I’m still recovering from Covid, I didn’t do much. I did some chores though like taking out the recycling and unloading the dishwasher
* I also listened to some nice music on my new Apple Pro Max Headphones I bought myself (I’m loving them so far!)
Emotional state:
* Still fighting the fatigue Covid gave me
* Feeling pretty energetically worn out because of the collective energy of New Years
* I’m excited to get back into a routine, and to get back to apartment hunting in the new year
Random notes:
* I want to get better at protecting my own energy in 2025, this means spending more time alone and meditating
* I am starting to take supplements for b12 and iron (I’m still looking for an iron supplement) as I am deficient in those two things. I’m also going to be starting to take vitamin D as well, I really hope that will help my energy levels in the new year and not be so dang tired all the time!
Thoughts for the new year:
* This year will be a pivotal year for my self growth! I want to get better at taking care of myself (emotionally mainly) and feel less stress

Autumn Update Entry
Hello everyone! It’s been a crazy Fall for me.
To start things off I was denied to volunteer at the local hospice because of my end of life doula background. I’m going to be helping in another similar sector with home companion visits so there’s that at least.
My childhood friend started the divorce process from her abusive husband. My mom helped her get a lawyer and she visited us with her kids for an overnight. It was emotionally draining. But things are getting better for her now.
I made a new local in person friend! We met on the local subreddit. We’re a lot a like. We’re into aliens and the paranormal.
Even though I am Canadian, the 2024 US election results shocked me to the core. The aftermath of it all drained my energy as well. I was stress eating a lot this month.
I am starting a new side business venture! I’m going to help micro local businesses with their social media presence. The local businesses in the town I live in don’t really have a good grasp on marketing themselves lol.
I’ve decided that I’m moving out of my parents home. I’m renting a room somewhere in town while on Government disability assistance. It’s SO hard to find a room to rent for cheap where I live. I’m seeing a room viewing this week!
So yeah, lots of stuff have been happening for me this season. I already made my 2025 vision board and things are already manifesting! 😮
My birthday is coming up on Dec 24th, I’m going to be 32! I can’t believe it. I don’t usually do much for my birthday since it is on Christmas Eve, and I’m not a party person. I like to do self-care rituals instead and reflect on my past year. To be honest I really would like to just be alone and relax, but since I’m still living with my parents that’s not possible lol. I found a local baker that could bake my birthday cake which will be an earl grey with lavender and buttercream icing this year. Yum!

Weekly Check-In: Oct 18th 2024 💭
Man, October hasn’t been what I’ve been expecting so far lol. For starters, I got rejected at my local hospice due to a conflicting background regarding my end of life doula career and the moving thing has been thwarted for now. But, I contacted the volunteer coordinator explaining my situation to her and she is going to help me find a new and better placement! So that worked out for me. ☺️
I also found out that my childhood friend was in an abusive relationship for the past 10 years (she also had a rough childhood), so my family is helping her sort that stuff out right now because her family is no help.
⭐️ What I Accomplished:
* Worked more on my sound therapy course, really getting into it now! We’re also learning about the fundamentals of neuro-science which is somewhat interesting but a bit confusing for me to grasp lol
* Decided on starting my own holistic healing business! I’ve contacted a local place that helps people start their business for free, I got a call with them next week
* Changing directions with my volunteering to a better placement! Hopefully it could turn into a part-time position in the future (mainly aligning with my end of life doula practice)
* Manifested winning $40.00 from the local lottery! Woohoo!
😅 Things That Could Have Gone Better:
* Not being rejected from the local hospice, it came out of the blue so I was really surprised
* Haven’t gotten out a lot outside my house, I’ve been isolating myself again
* My stress has increased again, I’ve been having trouble feeling calm and relaxed this month
🗓️ Plans For The Weekend:
* Go to the local cafe and then walk in the park to do some grounding
* Build the tea organizer holder and finally organize the coffee station
* Bake brownies & make pumpkin pancakes
* Have some alone time to reset my energy
* MEDITATE! I’ve fallen off the meditating habit again, I always feel too mentally drained to attempt to meditate but I want to get back into it this weekend
I also planned my winter 2024 arc! I’ll make a separate post on that next.

New Month, New Energy! 🫶🏻
Theme for this month is: New Beginnings
So spooky season is finally upon us, I’m actually neutral about it as I don’t like the over commercialization of Halloween. My energy is also very sensitive around this time of year (up until the New Year), so I’m planning on doing more energy protection work on myself this month. My mental health also tends to dip in the cold seasons so I have to keep an eye on that. But this year, I’m trying my best to romanticize the Fall season instead of dreading it. This week, I’m starting to volunteer at the local hospice! I’m starting out as a receptionist for them, but shortly after I’ll be meeting with real people and providing them emotional support. I’m really excited to start this opportunity because it can help me a lot to launch my own end of life doula business too.
Goals for October:
1. Settle into the new routine with the hospice volunteer job
2. Bake two different things
3. Read 1 fiction book
4. Organize coffee station
5. Finalize Holiday & Birthday gift list (gift shopping early this year)
6. Stick with robotic affirmation routine (10 mins morning and night)

Weekly Check-in: Sept 28th 2024 💭
Wowza what a week! So my family and I are thinking of moving house again, it will be in the same town thank goodness!
⭐️ What I Accomplished:
* I finished my hospice training course! I’m excited to start volunteering in the beginning of October
* Donated the rest of my unwanted media to the local Buy & Sell place
* I found a chair sitting workout that I got through one time this week
* Only had two drinks this week (improvement from the previous week)
This week was pretty quiet in terms of personal accomplishments, but family wise it was big!
😅 Things That Could Have Gone Better:
* This week was stressful so I stress ate a lot
* It was hard to feel relaxed this week, could have meditated and go for walks to help but I didn’t
* My appetite was off and I didn’t eat my usual go-to breakfast
🗓️ Plans For The Weekend:
* We’re having the house inspector coming by to appraise the place so we can put it up for sale
* Go to Walmart for to buy The Legend of Zelda: Echos of Wisdom video game (already did this, started playing the game and I’m enjoying it so far)
* Start new fiction book
* Do monthly review & reset
I can’t wait for October this year! I am itching to start volunteering and do something meaningful with my life!

Weekly Check-in: September 20th 2024 💭
Happy Friday everyone! This week we had a partial lunar eclipse. 😯 I didn’t see it where I lived (didn’t know if you could), but I definitely felt the energy from the event. This happened to me during the solar eclipse back in April too.
⭐️ What I Accomplished:
* Almost done with my hospice volunteer training course, I only have a few modules left, I started taking a food handling course for the volunteering but I found out that I actually don’t have to take it 😅
* Took the stuff I wanted to get rid of to the local Buy & Sell and library, thanks to my mom getting the ball rolling for me
* My skincare has gotten better this week, I was more diligent about it and just missed a few times
* On the weekend I rescued two baby raccoons from the dumpster! They were trapped and the condo board person was out of town so I managed to rescue them on my own (I just put our step ladder in the dumpster for them to climb out)
* During that same weekend, I managed to clean my nightstand! It was filthy
* A really exciting family business opportunity came to us this week! I can’t say much about it, but it could potentially change our lives if it works out! I believe I manifested this opportunity with my affirmations
* Got out of the house twice this week, even though I felt tired and over stimulated (this is a big deal for me)
* Updated to iOS 18 on my phone and other devices, been excited to try out the new features
😅 Things That Could Have Gone Better:
* As I mentioned up above, I felt over stimulated this week. I really need to go to an energy healing treatment but I have to wait until my money comes in next week
* My mom surprised me with some alcohol she got, I ended up drinking every night this week (only one glass, but still)
* My mood dipped (hence the reason for drinking this week) and I was worried it was leading to a depression episode, but thankfully it improved! My meds are working
* Could have completed my volunteer course work this week, but my mental health slipped a bit so I didn’t get it done
* My food cravings ended up me getting McDonalds this week because of emotional eating
🗓️ Plans For The Weekend:
* Have a mental reset day
* Reorganize Pinterest boards (for the millionth time lol)
* Get some reading done
* Learn more about the new iOS18 features and declutter/organize phone & iPad
* Do weekend chores
* Write out to buy list for next month
This week was a mixed bag to be honest! I can’t believe that it’s nearing October! Like what?! I’m not that into Autumn really, I get to much anxiety and my mood starts to dip in the colder months. I do love the coziness of it all though! I’m a Spring girly first and foremost.

Weekly Check-in: September 13th 2024 💭
Oooh it’s Friday the 13th today! 🐈⬛ Spooky. Where I used to live, we had a flood of bikers come into town and take over the place for the weekend. It even made the news a few times! It was a nightmare living through that because of the noise haha. This week started out productive and on track, then in the middle of the week I fell off the rails.
⭐️ What I Accomplished:
Got through more of my hospice volunteer training course, I’m making good progress!
Booked an MRI appointment at the local hospital instead of the one in the big city that’s an hour away. Even though I have to wait longer, I dread having to commute into the city
I also cancelled a follow up appointment that was going to be at the end of the month that would also be in the same city, I wouldn’t have gotten the necessary tests done yet so I saw no point in going and wasting another whole day and then telling me nothings changed
Had a phone appointment with my family doctor (she lives in a different county 2 and a half hours away), we can’t get a new family doctor where I live right now (it sucks!) and I got some skin cream and prescribed muscle relaxants
Did a little bit of organizing my closet space situation (not finished it yet though)
Made Pillsbury Cinnabons (kinda burnt them lol)
Had no alcohol (can’t afford it right now so it’s easy to avoid haha)
Did some more robotic affirmations affirming sessions every day
😅 Things That Could Have Gone Better
I was very tired this week and slept a lot, I’m not sure if it’s my meds or what. The changing of the seasons mess with my mood and makes me more sleepy
I changed my ADHD/Autism coach session to next month (I only meet with them once a month because that’s what I can afford)
I’ve been feeling more stressed and on edge lately, I think I’m absorbing my parents energy because when they leave the house, I go back to feeling stable again 🤷🏻♀️
Because of me feeling more stressed, my eating habits haven’t been that great lately (been eating a lot of pizza and stuff)
Could have had more alone time, parents weren’t feeling great so they cancelled their outing
Fell off with my volunteer hospice coursework in the middle of the week
Slacked on my chores
Didn’t go out at all this week (stayed inside pretty much all of the time)
Didn’t do any meditation sessions
🗓️ Plans For The Weekend:
Finish decluttering my bookshelves and nightstand
If I have the energy and focus, I’ll deep clean my bedroom
Catch up on chores
Get through some more modules of my hospice volunteer training coursework
Have a spirit guide meditation session (30 mins) + get back into the gateway tapes
This week started out promising, then it fell off. I hope my mom will feel better after going to a friends house for the weekend. Things have been quite tense lately because of money and such. We’re okay, it’s just tight right now because we’re not getting any sales on our medical grade red light machines. I need to get better at protecting my energy, I’m too lenient when it comes to my parents (especially my mother) and I let their energies affect me a lot. I know it will improve once I am volunteering at the local hospice, as I won’t be around my parents all day (they work from home) and will have a new change of scenery. If anyone has any helpful tips on how to protect one’s energy I’d love to hear it!

My Non Negotiable’s
This might give you ideas for your own non negotiable’s!
1. Eating 3 meals a day & a cup of bone broth a day
2. Listening to frequencies and subliminal’s every night
3. Weekly review and monthly goal setting
4. Meditation daily (preferably before bed but not super strict on the time) & weekly cleansing
5. Good sleep hygiene & sleep routine (limit how long you nap for during the day, no electronics in the bedroom)
6. Listen to music to fuel soul
7. Have quiet time in the mornings
8. Daily personal care (teeth, skin, hair)
9. Get light daily (use sun lamp during colder month’s when cloudy)
10. Have things out in the open where I can see them (but organized!, out of sight, out of mind syndrome is heavy with me!)

My Re-Introduction 🫶🏻✨
Hi there! Sorry I’ve been MIA this summer, things got busier than expected. With the Fall season upon us, I thought it would be a good idea to reintroduce myself! I got the idea from @ros3babe and this post is inspired by them. I started a new sound therapy online course, and I’m going to start volunteering at a local hospice in October which requires me completing a training course online prior to volunteering. This volunteering work will greatly benefit my education since I want to become an end-of-life doula (which is basically emotional support for the dying and their families), this will help open new doors for my career! I will post about my mental health, my special interests, my daily/weekly life, and life improvement, I would like to post about my spiritual journey as well but that is a personal topic and I’m not sure how people would react to that (it can get pretty weird haha).
✨A Little Bit About Me✨
* My name is Katie, but you guys can call me Shine or Wish 💫
* I’m 31 years old, I will be turning 32 in December! She/her
* I’m starting a new career this year! An end-of-life doula and sound healer. 🥰 I always wanted to be a screenwriter/author but that wasn’t in the cards for me apparently, when you’re called to do something important like this you take the call
* I’m on the neurodivergent spectrum, this is a positive space for neurodivergent people!
* I’m really fascinated by the law of assumption/attraction, practicing it myself
* I love anything that has to do with the mind and consciousness (if I was smarter I would have gone into psychology or something similar)
* Currently improving my life one day at a time, some days are better than others but luckily I have a lot of support in my life
* Really interested in personal development and wellness, but I do tend to struggle with them 😅
* I do not work currently and I’m on government support (living with family), but hopefully that will change soon with my new career taking off
* Loves anything paranormal/supernatural and outer space related
* I love to listen to music, play cozy video games, watch cartoons, read fan-fiction and meditate
* This blog was mainly used for being accountable for my habits, but that got to be too much pressure for me. So now it’s just a safe space where I can write freely about my special interests, and encourage others to keep doing their best
* I’m open to asking questions, I love giving people resources that I find online that could help them. I’m here to help support you as well! Let’s lift each other up to make the world a better place to live. 💖
I’m excited for this new chapter of my life to start! I know this will give me more confidence and self-trust in myself. My world will start opening up for me!

how to enjoy exercising

1. listen to upbeat music
not too long ago, i did a running workout while listening to a few upbeat songs. it made the workout go by so much quicker!
2. wear cute clothes
buying cute workout gear can motivate you to workout more often! but if you know that you hate working out, don't buy a lot of workout clothes just to not wear them.
3. do multiple workouts
instead doing one lengthy workout that only focuses on glutes, do a few workouts that all focus on different things.
4. do a themed workout
for example, do a workout that uses a specific artist's songs. or do a holiday themed workout.
5. reward yourself
if you say "i will get 2 hours of screen time if i complete this workout," you will be way more motivated to start and finish!
