Maybe I can’t beat you, but you cannot win. You’ve taken so much from me. You’ve taken my joy, but of course. Isn’t that what you do? But no, you aren’t satisfied with just that. You take the parts of me that define me and distort them until nobody can see me anymore. You’ve taken my personality, and with it the thing that matters most to me - my friends. You’ve taken my confidence. You’ve taken my passion, you’ve taken my hobbies. You’ve even taken my will to fight you, but you haven’t won. Let’s not act like all you do is take, oh yes, you give. You give me fear. Anxiety. Self loathing. Tears. Malice. Sleepless nights. Jealousy of people who can live normally. Terrible thoughts, ones that I myself am afraid of. With all you take, however, there’s only one thing you really want. Take it, and you win, I lose. That’s not going to happen. There’s only one way that I can win, and that’s what I intend to do. Maybe I can’t beat you, maybe I can’t even fight you anymore, but there’s no way I’m going to lose. Because you won’t take my life.
